Did The Bear Win Any Emmys at the 2025 Ceremony?

No, The Bear did not take home a single Emmy Award this year, but an Emmy win does not make or break a show’s success.

Donald Trump attended a match at the 2025 US Open, and critics of the Republican president claimed they heard him getting booed once his face was shown on camera at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York, over the weekend. So, is it true?

The 79-year-old updated his Truth Social followers that he would attend a match at the Open. “Doing a Flyover of the Tennis Center right now. We’ll be landing shortly. Should be a great match!” he wrote prior to the men’s singles event.

Below, find out if Trump really got booed and how extensive it may have been at the US Open.

Which 2025 US Open Match Did Donald Trump Attend?

Trump attended the men’s singles final on Sunday, September 7. The match was between tennis favorites Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, with the latter winning the game.

According to multiple outlets, including the Associated Press, there was enhanced security at that match due to the president’s presence. The longer security checks caused delays, and some fans didn’t get to their seats until the match was well underway.

Secret Service released a statement acknowledging the longer security wait times, per the AP. “We sincerely thank every fan for their patience and understanding,” Secret Service said, adding that security “required a comprehensive effort” and agreed that it “may have contributed to delays for attendees.”

Did Trump Actually Get Booed at the US Open?

Yes, but other people did cheer for him as well. As heard in videos circulating on social media, a lot of people in the crowd at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center openly booed Trump.

Others, however, cheered the president upon seeing his face featured on camera.

I Fought the Law true story: What happened to William Dunlop?

by jummy84 September 6, 2025
written by jummy84

The show is based on Ming’s own memoir, For the Love of Julie, and was produced with her input, straying from the truth far less than many other similar stories.

So, here’s the full true story of I Fought the Law.

I Fought the Law true story: What happened to William Dunlop?

Ann Ming, played by Sheridan Smith, grips the arm of Charlie Ming, Daniel York Loh, as they sit in court in I Fought the Law. ©ITV

After struggling to get hold of Julie one morning in November 1989 (and learning that she’d missed a court hearing in which she was set to apply for a leave of separation from estranged husband Andrew), Ann reported her as a missing person.

Initially believing that she’d simply left of her own accord, even putting forward the theory she’d abandoned her young son Kevin to move to London, police took several days to properly investigate further. Despite spending nearly a week searching Julie’s house, they failed to find any evidence of her whereabouts and the case ultimately went cold.

Eighty days after she disappeared, Andrew decided to return to the family home where he discovered a strange odour. Thanks to her medical background, Ann instantly recognised the smell and on removing a bath panel, made the horrifying discovery of her daughter’s naked body wrapped in a blanket. A post-mortem concluded that she’d been sexually assaulted and strangled.

Who was William Dunlop?

After ruling out Andrew, police honed in on and later charged William Dunlop, a builder’s labourer who’d been visiting a friend that lived next door to Julie on the night she disappeared: he’d also violently assaulted a man while at a rugby club just hours beforehand.

The prosecution argued that Dunlop, who’d allegedly had previous relations with the victim, had called in with the hope of having sex. But when she spurned his advances, he subjected her to a “premeditated and truly horrendous” attack.

Despite what Ann believed to be an overwhelming amount of evidence linking him to the crime, including the fact that Julie’s house keys were found under his floorboards, a jury failed to reach a majority verdict in Dunlop’s first 1991 trial. And the Mings’ anguish was compounded later that same year when the same prosecution team failed to convince another jury of his guilt, resulting in his acquittal.

What happened next?

Dunlop was, however, convicted of another crime in 1997 – stabbing his pregnant girlfriend with a toaster fork and beating up her lover – and sentenced to seven years in jail. While incarcerated, he confessed to a prison officer that he’d been responsible for Julie’s murder. “She just started taking the mickey out of me and ridiculing me because I had a black eye and my eye was split open,” he later said in a taped police interview. “I just lost it and got up and strangled her.”

Dunlop, who had a history of violence, believed that he was protected by double jeopardy, an 800-year-old British law which prevented anyone from being tried for the same offence twice. But he underestimated a grieving mother, who’d been awarded £20,000 in damages from the Cleveland police force for its handling of the case, determined to seek justice for her beloved daughter.

How was justice eventually served?

Although he was convicted of perjury thanks to a recording of his confession in 2003, Dunlop wasn’t able to be tried for the actual murder until a change in the double jeopardy law was made in 2005. After pleading guilty to killing Julie, he was given a life sentence and ordered to serve at least 17 more years behind bars.

How did Ann Ming change the law?

Of course, having taken on the Crown Prosecution Service, met with then-Home Secretary Jack Straw, and given an impassioned speech at the House of Lords, Ann was hugely instrumental in the amendment.

“A lot of people did think I had a team of lawyers doing it on my behalf and this wasn’t the case,” she recently explained to the BBC. Ann’s tireless efforts have also resulted in at least a dozen other convictions, including one of the men responsible for the killing of Stephen Lawrence.

Where is William Dunlop now?

In 2025, Dunlop was denied the opportunity to move to an open prison despite a Parole Board recommendation assessing him as “presenting a low risk of absconding”. Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood was responsible for the blocking with a spokesperson stating: “Public protection is our number one priority.”

During his hearing, Dunlop had admitted to being a “violent, hideous, uncaring person” likely to have committed similar horrific offences had he not been imprisoned. But he also claimed that he was now a changed man who was deeply regretful of his past. The Ming family revealed they were “elated” at the decision and thanked Mahmood for putting “victims at the heart of the system”.

Where is Ann Ming now?

In 2007, Ann was awarded an MBE for her services to the criminal justice system. Sadly, her husband Charles Ming, who’d been by her side throughout her quest to overturn the law, died in 2013 having suffered from Parkinson’s and dementia for many years.

Despite soon turning 80, Ann has insisted she’ll continue to do what she can to ensure Dunlop never gets released, telling the BBC: “I wouldn’t want him to put another family through what he has put us through.”

Paula Deen’s Downfall: What Happened After Scandal

by jummy84 September 6, 2025
written by jummy84

Paula Deen was once the toast of Food Network, the Georgia grandmother’s butter-drenched home cooking and salty-sweet disposition a winning combination.

Until, that is, her own words came back to bite her.

Following the June 2013 release of a deposition in which Deen admitted to past use of a racial slur, she became persona non grata over the course of a week.

Deen made two emotional apology videos, but Food Network cut ties. Stores, including Walmart and Target, dropped her merchandise. Her publisher canceled the release of her latest book.

And, needless to say, Twitter (now X) feasted on the controversy.

But while some people never had a taste for what she was serving even before the scandal, and others simply lost their appetite, plenty of fans remained hungry for more and rallied to her defense.

Canceled: The Paula Deen Story, a new documentary premiering Sept. 6 at the Toronto International Film Festival, delves into Deen’s rise to fame, rapid downfall and eventual comeback, albeit with a smaller slice of the influence pie.

What Happened To The Actress Who Shared The Screen With Deepika Padukone In Her Debut Film? | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 September 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Deepika Padukone’s success after making her debut in the blockbuster Om Shanti Om (2007) is a well-documented fact. However, few recall that another actress also made her Bollywood debut in the same film, sharing the screen with Deepika.

This talented individual had big dreams and a promising career ahead, but somehow, her stardom slipped away, and she’s not as prominent in the industry today. Despite her potential, she couldn’t sustain the momentum and is now a lesser-known figure compared to Deepika’s meteoric rise to fame. Even though she had worked alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika, Yuvika’s career went in a completely different direction.

From Bollywood to Television
Since Om Shanti Om, Yuvika worked in a number of films like Summer 2007, Toh Baat Pakki!, Naughty @ 40, Khap, Enemmy, and The Shaukeens. Though she had worked with big names such as Akshay Kumar, none of them were very successful commercially or gave her a solid support base in Bollywood.

As the film opportunities diminished, Yuvika slowly turned her attention to television. She rose to fame with her role in reality shows like India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj, Bigg Boss 9, MTV Splitsvilla 10, and Nach Baliye 9 which she won with her husband, actor Prince Narula. Yuvika was recently seen in the 2022 TV series Cyber Vaar.

Standing by Deepika’s Concept of Work-Life Balance
Last month, Yuvika stepped forward in solidarity with Deepika Padukone’s proposal for an 8-hour working day in the film industry — particularly after being a mother. In an interview with Hindi Rush, Yuvika recognized the ordeal of women after being mothers, stating, “It’s not easy to become a mother, and then work after that is more difficult. She deserves that respect after working for so many years.”

Yuvika also came clean about rejecting many promising ventures to focus on her family. “People shouldn’t be so heartless. This is a tough journey, and they should stand by women,” she stated.

While Yuvika’s journey deviated from that of a Bollywood superstar, her decisions are proof of resilience and dedication to her profession and to her life.

Upload season 4 ending explained: What happened to Nathan and Nora?

by jummy84 August 25, 2025
written by jummy84

At Lakeview, Nathan met his ‘Angel’, a customer service provider from the real world who he fell in love with, despite remaining in contact with his girlfriend Ingrid.

This hybrid of The Good Place and Black Mirror dipped a bit in season 3, but with just four episodes left to wrap everything up, Upload’s final season is much more focused, and all the better for it.

At the end of season 3, the Horizen company responsible for Lakeview rebranded as Betta in the wake of a courtroom scandal, so they went about destroying all of their illegal duplicate uploads. Unfortunately, that included Nathan, who had doubled up in season 3, splitting into a new digital copy as well as the human original.

One of these two versions called Nora and Ingrid up in the finale to reveal that the other Nathan had been destroyed. But which one? Who’s just lost the love of their life? That’s where we kick off at the start of the fourth and final season.

Upload season 4 ending explained: What happened to Nora and Nathan?

Season 4 begins with Nora mourning the loss of the original Nathan, but it turns out he’s actually still alive, trapped by scientists who are experimenting on him at Betta.

Three episodes in, Nathan finally escapes and arrives at Nora’s door, ready to kick off the end of Upload for one last chapter.

Lost in another wedding simulation, Nora is shocked and overjoyed when the real Nathan, not just a digital copy or holographic projection, appears and takes off her VR goggles. There are no words, just a kiss and tears (plus a whole lot more if the way they sheepishly leave their bedroom the next morning is anything to go by).

Meanwhile, Ingrid is pushing her version of Nathan to finally download into a new clone body so that they can be together in the real world. He’s a bit nervous though, because ageing and death are kind of a thing when you’re stuck with a human body.

Upload season 4. Prime Video

The conversation pauses suddenly, prompting Ingrid to pay more money to continue, and it’s all because of that weird AI guy with the black hair who’s been absorbing the other versions of him in Lakeview. Aleesha worries about what this means, but her boss is too obsessed with the money this rogue AI is making the company to care.

Human Nathan isn’t feeling so good, and a hospital visit with Nora reveals that his neurons have somehow been moved back and forth, inflaming his neural pathways to the point where he could soon die. That’s because of the 150+ uploads his kidnappers at Betta put Nathan through.

The doctor suggests uploading, but he’s scared to do that fully again in case he loses memories of Nora. Overhearing their conversation, a nurse nearby recommends they visit a guy known as the ‘Midtown Healer’ who has “been performing miracles”.

Virtual Nathan suggests to his bestie Luke that he join him and Ingrid in the real world because he can’t afford the costs to stay in Lakeview much longer. But their chat is soon interrupted when they spot the rogue AI guy throwing people into the torrent, erasing them completely because they’re no longer making money for the company.

Upload season 4. Prime Video

Aleesha tries pausing him so he can do no more harm, but he’s now strong enough to resist commands from the outside world. And it gets worse. Upon absorbing the last remaining AI in Lakeview, the ‘evil’ one manages to achieve singularity, which means that he’s fully sentient and in control. If he escapes into the real world, he can take over everything, potentially setting off a nuclear apocalypse.

While Nathan and Luke help survivors get away, an automatic failsafe switches off the torrent, cutting the rogue AI off from leaving Lakeview. And with that, the company plans to delete Lakeview entirely, which would also kill off the people inside. Aleesha’s boss doesn’t care though, referring to them all as “data” which can be easily expunged.

With help from a colleague, Aleesha gets a quick text through to Luke inside where she explains what’s happening and that she plans to rescue him at 6pm via the tubes.

Meanwhile, the ‘midtown healer’ who Nathan and Nora visit for help turns out to be another AI guy from Lakeview, the one who was downloaded to a real human body earlier on in the show. Ingrid and Aleesha show up too, asking the AI guy to return to Lakeview because he’s the only one who can stop the rogue AI, saving Luke and digital Nathan in the process.

Before he goes, AI guy explains that nothing can be done to save the real Nathan. His advice to Nora is to “be [Nathan’s] Angel one last time”. She hugs Aleesha and Ingrid with tears in her eyes, before taking Nathan home to spend his last moments on earth together.

Back at Lakeview, Luke tells digital Nathan that he loves him, and they hug. Together, they both start to leave via the tubes, but then when Luke spots the rogue AI heading towards the torrent, he races after him and sends him back to the Lakeview villa. It’s only a temporary solution though, because the rogue AI quickly returns and throws Luke into the torrent, taking his life in the process.

Luke’s sacrifice wasn’t in vain though, because it bought Aleesha and Ingrid just enough time to finish uploading their AI guy, the only being powerful enough to stop him. With help from Nathan, the nice AI guy rescues all the AI beings that the bad one absorbed and then deletes him completely. Using his power for good, the nice AI guy, now stronger than ever, turns the torrent back on from the inside. Aleesha rushes back into Lakeview, but it’s too late. Luke is gone.

While all that action was taking place, the finale intercut these scenes with Nora and the real Nathan making the most of the time they had left. And yes, it’s even sadder than you’d expect.

Nathan apologises to Nora for putting her through so much. Exhausted by his illness, the pair lie in bed and hold each other.

“I wish we had made it to Montreal,” says Nathan, reminiscing on their plans to get married. But then, using the VR simulation she retreated to so often in her mourning, Nora makes that a (virtual) reality for them both.

Wearing the goggles, Nora and Nathan marry in the simulation, and Nathan puts a ring on her finger for real too. They then head to Mile End in a new simulation, talking of plans Nathan had to open his own bakery.

As they walk through this virtual life together one last time, Nora asks Nathan what his favourite part of living was.

Upload season 4 still showing a man and two women walking down an aisle

Upload season 4. Prime Video

“I don’t think it’s over,” he replies. “I’m energy, right? Energy can’t be created or destroyed. It just changes… Whatever energy I change into, I’ll always love you.”

Sitting on a bench together, Nathan and Nora wish each other happy birthday, happy new year, and a good morning, sharing everything that they won’t be able to anymore when Nathan’s gone.

But before he goes, Nathan has one last thing to say: “Don’t wait for me… Don’t put your life on hold. Don’t stay in your room inside a headset. Be happy, OK? I’m happy. Because of you, I became who I wanted to be. I like who I am.”

“You don’t have to be sad,” Nathan continues, “or feel like I missed out on anything. I had everything. Everything I ever was, I saved it for you. You are my angel, Nora, the love of my life… This one and the next one and the one after.”

The camera pans closer to Nora’s face as she listens, and when it pans out again, we realise Nathan is gone. He’s died in real life, so he’s no longer present in the simulation either.

Despite all the back and forth between this and the action-driven scenes that took place at Lakeview, this really was the most beautiful way Nora and Nathan’s story could have come to an end. It’s painful, yes, but it’s also really well done, perhaps the best moment from this entire series.

With Nathan now dead, Nora takes off his VR goggles, kisses his forehead, and rests her head on his chest, hugging him tight as it rains outside. The song You and Me by Penny and the Quarters plays in the background.

Upload then abruptly (and unfortunately) cuts back to some infantile humour (literally) with clips of “Botox Babies” and an interview where Ingrid and her version of Nathan, now in a real cloned body, talk through where they’re at.

Ingrid is pregnant — “From pretty much the moment [Nathan] downloaded, he’s been inside of me” — and they’re planning to name the baby after Luke, who’s being recognised as the “hero who saved Lakeview, and possibly humanity”.

Upload season 4 still showing someone using VR goggles

Upload season 4. Prime Video

The AI guy is now running Lakeview as a non-profit company, Aleesha is randomly working as a spy, speaking Russian and kicking ass, while Nora’s roommate got married to Monique the hoover.

They don’t know what’s happened to Nora since her Nathan died, but we do, because Upload then cuts to her sitting outside a coffee shop at the real Mile End. It’s the same coffee shop we saw Nora and Nathan share those last few moments together in the simulation.

A cute guy asks for Nora’s number, but she declines, pointing to the ring Nathan gave her before he died. Nora sits and plays with the ring, presumably thinking about Nathan’s last words to her and whether it’s time to move on, when the ring’s drive suddenly attempts to pair with her tablet.

Upon accepting, the words “NATHAN BROWN SCAN 2” appear on the tablet’s screen. Yep, it seems a digital version of Nathan has survived. Why it took so long to appear to Nora, we have no idea, and we never will, because that’s where the show ends, with the promise of Nora reuniting again with at least some version of Nathan.

Is it nice to see Nora happy? Yes. But does this undo the beautiful end she shared with the real Nathan just a few scenes earlier? Yes, especially given how many times the show has tried to trick us into believing Nathan is gone for good.

But however you might feel about it, Upload is now gone for good too, ending with a short but sweet final season.

13 Movies, 1 Hit, And Then She Vanished! What Happened Next Will Blow Your Mind | Glamsham.com

This artiste made a lasting impression on Bollywood with her stunning looks and glamorous persona, becoming an overnight sensation with her debut in 2005 opposite Emraan Hashmi. While the film failed to ignite the box office, its music, especially the title track, became cult and continues to give rise to nostalgia even now. Her bold presence on screen quickly made her an icon of the youths of the 2000s, a household name in a short time. With a successful start of her career, she became a leading figure in the profession, a bold and confident performer.

Some performers excel in Bollywood and leave an indelible mark in a brief while and Tanushree Dutta is one of them. With her breathtaking beauty and glamorous image, she shot to fame overnight with her 2005 entry into Aashiq Banaya Aapne opposite Emraan Hashmi. Although the movie didn’t light up the box office, its music particularly its title track became cult-like and induces nostalgia even today. Her fearless screen presence soon established her as an icon of the 2000s youth.

After her debut, Tanushree acted in Chocolate in the same year, which flopped. In 2006, she appeared in Bhaagam Bhag her first commercial success along with Akshay Kumar and Govinda. She also appeared in 36 China Town during the same year, another multi-starrer which wasn’t commercially successful.

In 2007, she had four group films Risk, Good Boy Bad Boy, Dhol, and Speed none of which made an impact at the box office. Her sole 2008 release, Saas Bahu Aur Sensex, went unnoticed. By 2010, after a couple of more ventures, she left the spotlight.

Tanushree subsequently stated she experienced extreme depression and trauma, attributing disillusionment with the film industry as the main factor for her departure. To recover, she relocated to the United States, became spiritual, practiced Vipassana meditation, and concentrated on holistic healing. These practices, she explained, gave her inner peace and allowed her to rediscover her purpose.

Now much more in a comfortable place, Tanushree has opted to remain single and concentrate on personal development. Though she hasn’t made any particular projects public yet, a return to Bollywood is imminent—and audiences can’t wait to see her return. Her path is a testimonial to tenacity, self-discovery, and the strength of healing.
