Dancing With the Stars Guest Judge: Tom Bergeron

written by jummy84

Dancing With the Stars is waltzing into 20 years.

In honor of the competition show’s 20th anniversary, DWTS is bringing in a special guest judge for the Nov. 11 episode: Tom Bergeron, who hosted the series from 2005 to 2019.

The news was announced on the Nov. 5 episode of Good Morning America, with much fanfare and excitement.

“It feels really good,” Tom told the GMA hosts of returning to the ballroom. “I’m really looking forward to it.”

And on DWTS celebrating 20 years, he said, “I think 20 years of any primetime show is amazing, but for a show that’s 20 years old that’s also having a ratings resurgence—you’re more likely to see a zebra playing the piano.”

He credits the team behind Dancing With the Stars for getting the show “back to its essence.”

It’s fitting to have Tom join fellow judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough, as Dancing With the Stars celebrates two decades on air with its 34th season. The show—based on the British show Strictly Come Dancing—first began airing on ABC in June 2005.

Brandi Carlile Returns to ‘SNL’ As Musical Guest

Brandi Carlile returned to Saturday Night Live on Nov. 2 with a commanding performance of “Church & State” and “Human,” both from her newly released solo album Returning to Myself.

See latest videos, charts and news

This marks Carlile’s fourth time as musical guest on SNL and her second appearance this year, following an April duet with Elton John promoting their joint project Who Believes in Angels?. On Saturday’s show, she took center stage solo, delivering two emotionally charged performances.

Opening with “Church & State,” Carlile sang of a “failing empire” and sociopolitical unrest in a haunting arrangement co-written with producer Andrew Watt and longtime collaborators Phil and Tim Hanseroth.

She followed with “Human,” a soaring ballad that reflects on vulnerability and resilience — also the name of her upcoming Human Tour, which kicks off in February 2026.

The two songs are from Carlile’s eighth studio album, Returning to Myself, released Oct. 25. It marks her first solo LP since 2021’s In These Silent Days, which peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard 200, topped the Rock and Americana/Folk charts, and won multiple Grammy awards, including Best Americana Album and awards for “Broken Horses.” It also received seven Grammy nominations overall.

Since her last solo project, Carlile has remained a central figure in American roots and rock music — curating music festivals (Girls Just Wanna Weekend, Echoes Through the Canyon), forming the country supergroup The Highwomen, and collaborating with legends like Elton John, Joni Mitchell and Tanya Tucker.

Her SNL appearance follows a busy October that included performing at Mitchell’s Joni Jam at the Hollywood Bowl and announcing her return to Europe in fall 2026 after the North American leg of her tour.

Carlile also appeared in the episode’s promos, stealing the scene with a joke about noticing co-star Ashley Padilla’s haircut before Top Gun: Maverick actor Miles Teller, who hosted this week’s episode. “The second I saw you, I knew you had that new-haircut glow,” Carlile deadpanned — leading Padilla to declare her the new host.

20 Of TV/Film’s Most Random Musical Guest Appearances

by jummy84 October 30, 2025
written by jummy84

The golden era of TV and film partially gained its descriptor because of the surprise musical guests that appeared on your favorite sitcom.

Typically, we’d see an artist at their peak become an even bigger household name when they popped on the silver screen. From Lena Horne and Tupac on A Different World to Tevin Campbell on The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air and the Notorious B.I.G. on Martin, the list of musical guest appearances that live rent-free in our minds is a lengthy one.

Most notably, that nostalgia was evoked when Jill Scott appeared on Abbott Elementary back in April. She played herself and performed “Golden” to raise money for the school. Barbara Howard (Sheryl Lee Ralph) was the one to secure the headliner while Mr. Johnson (William Stanford Davis) was revealed to be Scott’s crazed fan who steals her things as memorabilia.

This feeling was also conjured up during the era of Insecure as stars like Gallant, Aminé, and Vince Staples all made cameos. So, VIBE strolls down memory lane to reflect on 20 of the best and sometimes random guest appearances by a musical artist on a TV show or movie.

  • Lil Kim in ‘Juwanna Mann’

As news of the Juwanna Mann sequel gets confirmed, let’s reminisce on Lil Kim‘s brief albeit memorable role in the 2002 original. The Brooklyn-bred pioneer played the girlfriend of Jamal Jefferies (Miguel A. Nuñez Jr.), prior to his Juwanna Mann transformation. During Jefferies’ downfall after disgracing the league, Kim let it be known that he wasn’t a mediocre lover and she was only using him for her own come-up—an unapologetic Queen.

  • Bow Wow on ‘Moesha’

    Season 6, Episode 15: “That’s My Mama”

When Ray J joined formally the Moesha cast as her cousin-turned-brother, Dorian, he went on a mission to piece together the parts of his life that were kept hidden from him including meeting his birth mother and other siblings. Bow Wow appeared during the sitcom’s final season as Dorian’s half-brother. The episode also connected Mara Brock Akil‘s cinematic universe because Maya from Girlfriends played their aunt.

  • Busta Rhymes On ‘The Steve Harvey Show’

Season 3, Episode 8: “Everybody Loves Regina”

Busta Rhymes‘ guest role on The Steve Harvey Show came during the series’ third season when Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell reprised their guest roles as boys being mentored by Steve and Cedric. • Bobby Brown In ‘Two Can Play That Game’

When most people reference Two Can Play That Game, they usually highlight Gabrielle Union’s villain origin story within Vivica A. Fox and Morris Chestnut’s love story. However, a lot don’t acknowledge the hilarious moments at the hands of Bobby Brown. The Don’t Be Cruel crooner played the boyfriend of Shanté’s (Fox) best friend, Karen (Wendy Raquel Robinson), who went from a scrub to a stud and became a playboy after realizing how attractive he was after she upgraded him. Yet, with Shanté’s help, Karen walked away with a ring in the end.

Pre Baby Boy, Tyrese made a guest appearance on Robert Townsend’s hit sitcom, The Parent ‘Hood. He may not have said much, but his presence was felt in the jaw-dropping season four finale.

She ends up sneaking into Tweet’s hotel room to ask her directly if she’d make a surprise appearance at Kim’s birthday party.

Hightower then asked them to “drop some knowledge” on his students.

“We ain’t come here to talk about nothing behind us. We came to talk about what’s ahead of us […] We’re the future, so it’s on us to make a change,” Snoop stated later in the episode. written by jummy84

Bill Nye the Science Guy is adding TV guest star to his already impressive resume. The science icon and advocate will appear as himself on Tuesday’s episode of “High Potential” on ABC.

Nye will offer his science knowledge to help out “High Potential” star Kaitlin Olson’s character Morgan Gillory in a “Morgan Vision,” guiding her one step closer to solving the episode’s case.

In Season 1, Gillory was a janitor at the LAPD but become a full-time consultant after solving a murder case and impressing everyone with her IQ of 160. The show premiered in the fall of 2024 and was renewed for a second season in January ahead of the season finale. It was a hit at ABC and averaged 16 million viewers per episode, with the series premiere racking up more than 30 million views by the time it was renewed.

Nye is best known for hosting the popular educational program “Bill Nye the Science Guy” in the ’90s. Since then, he’s also had a Netflix series titled “Bill Nye Saves the World” and a Peacock show “The End Is Nye.” He’s appeared on other shows like “The Big Bang Theory,” “The Masked Singer,” “Dancing With the Stars,” “Blindspot” and more.

Along with Olson, “High Potential” also stars Daniel Sunjata, Javicia Leslie, Deniz Akdeniz as, Amirah J, Matthew Lamb and Judy Reyes. The show is based on the French series “Haut Potentiel Intellectuel (HPI).” Drew Goddard developed the series for American television and serves as executive producer via Goddard Textiles along with Sarah Esberg. Todd Harthan serves as showrunner and executive producer. Olson is a producer on the series in addition to starring. 20th Television produces, with Harthan currently under an overall deal at the studio.

All Creatures Great and Small guest star has a very famous mum

In the latest episode, the pair both race to offer their equine insight to the daughter of General Beauvoir, “society beauty” Charlotte Beauvoir, who Anna Madeley described as “exuberant and proactive”.

Charlotte is expecting “Captain Farnon”, but her dad failed to specify which one, hence both of them turning up.

“Impressive,” she says, on greeting the siblings. “You ask for one and they provide a spare.”

What then ensues is a battle of wills as they seek to prove that they are the “marvel with horses” that the general was thinking of, before the next competition inevitably arrives, whatever that will be.

But in the midst of all of that, Tristan and Charlotte discover that it’s not just horses that they’re passionate about.

“Charlotte Beauvoir is a great addition,” said Callum Woodhouse. “Tristan is maturing, becoming more independent, and taking on more responsibility. I think he’s past that stage now where he’s jumping from girl to girl.

“So, is he ready for something more serious? It’s been really fun to play.”

Dame Emma Thompson, Gaia Wise and Greg Wise attend the UK Premiere of “Dead Of Winter” at Picturehouse Central on September 8, 2025 in London. Dave Benett/WireImage

Eagle-eyed viewers might remember Gaia Wise, the actor who plays Charlotte, from crime dramas The Chelsea Detective and Silent Witness, in which she had guest roles.

Her other credits include the films A Walk in the Woods – based on Bill Bryson’s book of the same name – and the suspense thriller Dead of Winter, both of which also star her mum, none other than Dame Emma Thompson. Her father is actor Greg Wise (Sense and Sensibility, The Crown).

Read more:

“Gaia Wise… is terrific,” said Samuel West. “There was one scene where I was walking alongside her, talking, and she looked so like her mum. I did two films with Emma in the early ’90s [Howards End and Carrington], so that was really weird. It was like suddenly being 30 or 35 years younger.

“And because Gaia’s really terrific – her mannerisms, or something she did, or some look she gave the ground – just took me back. It was very odd indeed. She’s terrific, and I hope we stick with her.”

Tristan will no doubt be hoping for just that…

Cardi B Sends Shots Young Thug “On The News” Guest Verse

by jummy84 September 26, 2025
written by jummy84

Young Thug‘s highly anticipated UY SCUTI album has finally made landfall, and its feature verses are also making headlines. The 20-track body of work boasts appearances from names like Travis Scott, Mariah The Scientist, T.I., Ken Carson, Sexyy Red, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, and more, including a scathing verse from Cardi B on “On The News.”

Although her assist begins with general shots towards her counterparts, the disses get more specific as the bars go on. She pokes fun a someone’s man being too broke to afford a vacation and also make allegations of domestic abuse: “How you knowin’ when you got these b**ches laughin’?/ But how the f**k you laughin’ when I heard you gettin’ beat on?/ Gotta pay a n**ga way every trip y’all be on (Hah). I’m like, nah, that couldn’t be I/ That couldn’t be me, no, that couldn’t be C.” Listen below.

Many listeners automatically ran to the conclusion that Cardi was speaking about Nicki Minaj, her rap nemesis in recent years. The Barbz quickly worked to shut that notion down, but the debate raged on between the two fanbases.

UY SCUTI and its release date was a hot topic among Thugger fans over the last few months, as this marked the first full project since his release from jail on Oct. 31, 2024. Prior to that was BUSINESS IS BUSINESS, which dropped in 2023 while the YSL rapper was still behind bars facing his RICO case. Last week, the “Bad Bad Bad” rapper abruptly announced he was pushing back his original release date of Sept. 19, 2025, specifically to clear the way for Cardi B to have her moment to shine on that day with AM I THE DRAMA?.

The soon to be mother of four has been busy promoting her sophomore album, announcing a tour and hosting a string of meet and greets across the country. She even dropped a deluxe version today, which features a remix from Latto. Listen to the upgraded LP below and check out the chaos that ensued at Cardi’s meet and greets here.

Cocktail attire hits that sweet spot between formal and casual, which is why it’s one of the most popular special-occasion dress codes. This opens up your options to plenty of silhouettes, fabrics, and embellishments. For the fall, try satin midi dresses, sleek slip dresses, or elevated minis, plus not-too-summery floral prints, lace trims, and cape- or scarf-like accents. New ‘SNL’ schedule features Sabrina Carpenter as both musical guest and host

by jummy84 September 18, 2025
written by jummy84

Sabrina Carpenter will pull double duty as both host and musical guest when Saturday Night Live returns next month.

Off the back of her new album ‘Man’s Best Friend’, the pop star will appear on the third episode of the iconic show’s 51st season on October 18. It will be the first time she has hosted but she was previously a musical guest on season 49. She was also part of the show’s 50th anniversary celebrations back in February, at one point appearing in a sketch where she sang an off-key version of ‘Espresso’.

The season 51 premiere has Bad Bunny booked to host on October 4, while Doja Cat will be making her SNL debut as musical guest. SNL alumna Amy Poehler will return to host on October 11, with Role Model as the musical guest.

Carpenter has also been announced as one of the headliners of next year’s Coachella alongside Justin Bieber and Karol G. After days of speculation, she was confirmed to be closing out the Friday night of both weekends at the desert music festival.

Coachella 2026 will take place between April 10 and 12, and again on April 17 to 19. As for tickets, you’ll be able to get yours here.

‘Man’s Best Friend’ scored a four-star review from NME, with Nick Levine writing: “Musically, this album isn’t markedly different from its predecessor, though it has a few more country-leaning cuts sprinkled among the daytime disco and featherlight funk.

“It also sticks to Carpenter’s winning formula of pairing sticky melodies with pithy lyrics about the flaws and allure of inadequate males. If there were a Bechdel Test for pop albums, ‘Man’s Best Friend’ wouldn’t be in danger of passing it.”

Meanwhile, Carpenter recently joked that her label “really didn’t give a fuck” about her after learning there were only 200 copies of her debut album made for vinyl.

The Guest ending explained | What did Ria discover about Fran?

A shocking event at the end of the first episode binds the two characters together, but Fran’s motivations remain unclear throughout. Until we get to the finale, when all is revealed.

But just what happened in that final episode? What did Ria uncover about Fran’s business? And where did we leave each of the central characters?

Read on for everything you need to know about the ending of The Guest.

What did Ria find out about Fran?

Ria found out that she had been recruited as part of a scheme ran by Fran many times before. It involved finding young women, hiring them as cleaners, then promoting them to assistants.

Mike would also be used to bring them in, like he did with both Ria and her predecessor, Anna. His death had been caused simply because he had gone off script while on cocaine.

Once Fran gains the trust of the women and they become reliant on her, she uses them to launder drug money.

The business operated as follows; Fran’s husband Simon shipped in prescription drugs, Fran would sort them and then Richard would sell them to, as Fran said, “bored housewives” and “middle class office workers living for the weekend”. Fran would then send her assistants to Dubai with the cash, and there it would be converted into cryptocurrency.

Each of the assistants would only do it for a short time to earn some money, then move on. Fran saw this as her way of giving back, helping other women move up the economic and social ladder.

However, Fran said Anna had been stealing from them, and so she had been killed, presumably by Simon or Richard.

What did Fran do?

In the finale of The Guest, Ria woke up believing she had killed Fran’s husband, Simon. In actual fact, it later becomes clear that Fran had killed Simon herself.

Simon was abusive, so much so that Fran had to have her own room that she could lock herself in to escape his wrath and his violence. On the night he died, he had been hurting and threatening her when she hit him in self defence and killed him.

She had then drugged Ria and framed her by placing the murder weapon in her hand. Ria went on the run, and managed to find out the truth. However, just as she did so, she was intercepted by Richard, who wanted to stop her from exposing the operation.

She was taken to a secure location where she and Fran finally had it out and opened up to one another. As Ria broke down, Fran told her she saw herself in her. That’s why she gave her the job and the opportunity.

Richard tried to poison Ria, but Fran saved her at the last moment by hitting Richard over the head with a bowl. She freed Ria and allowed her to make a run for it.

Two weeks after Ria escaped, a radio report revealed that Fran was on the run from the police, with their drug operation having been exposed and Fran being implicated in Simon’s murder.

Richard had been caught and was expected to go to jail for, as Sharla said, “the rest of his life”. Ria had been completely exonerated.

Meanwhile, Lee had got himself a job, and Ria was planning a backpacking trip abroad.

At the very end of the series, Ria received a letter containing a cryptocurrency drive that she had found in Richard’s lock-up, containing the proceeds of their operation.

She had taken Fran’s advice when she had said to take what she could. As Ria loaded the device, she saw the amount on the screen tick up into the high hundreds of thousands, and very likely the millions. She smiled, as she knew she had secured a new future for herself.
