Angélica Fuentes of Nowful Reveals Her Self-Care Secrets: Affirmation Cards, Meditation, and Green Beverages

by jummy84 September 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Care for yourself! Nowful founder Angélica Fuentes shared her personal wellness rituals with ET while celebrating the launch of her brand and Hispanic Heritage Month.

The 62-year-old businesswoman swears by simple, consistent habits to stay grounded — and rejects the idea that self-care has to be extravagant.

“We are told that in order to be well, we need to go to expensive spas, book exotic retreats, or meditate for 20 hours in a Buddhist temple in Nepal. That is not true,” she explains.

Instead, Fuentes relies on daily practices that reconnect her with her body, mind, and soul.

Angelica Fuentes/Instagram

Her mornings begin by sipping a cup of hot water with lemon, followed by two capsules of Nowful MindThrive Mushroom Complex, before pulling out a Nowful Smart Affirmation Card for prompts that shape her mindset for the day ahead.

“They’re packed with hidden magic — technology that instantly connects with your phone and helps supercharge your confidence, strength, and self-love,” she shares.

From there, Fuentes lets it all out.

“I journal in the app, and sometimes just vent. … I also use this time to stay conscious of my breathing, something I’ve learned through short daily meditations.”

Nowful

Next, it’s time to work her body — which in turn, further works her mind.

“Exercise is a non-negotiable in my life. It grounds me emotionally and gives me the energy to show up fully.”

After her gym session, the entrepreneur is all about hydration and appreciation.

“I’ll drink my matcha or my green juice with collagen peptides and protein and practice gratitude. … On the way to school with my daughters, we each name at least three things we’re grateful for,” she notes.

Nowful

To maintain the good vibes, the philanthropist reaches for the NOWFUL essential oil to refocus, and winds down with a massage using the brand’s magnesium balm before bed.

Her go-to essentials now come together in the Nowful Wellness in Action Kit, which includes four core products.

“The kit is an invitation to return to yourself,” Fuentes says. “It is more than a set of products — it’s a system, with each element designed to work together so you can carry wellness with you from morning to night.”

Green Events Code of Practice updated to drive clear and bold sector commitments and targets

by jummy84 September 19, 2025
written by jummy84

The national Green Events Code of Practice (GECoP) has been updated to provide a clear, robust, and nationally consistent framework for event organisers, local authorities, and the supply chain. The revised code reflects current best practices and aligns with national policy, aiming to help the UK live events sector achieve ambitious environmental targets.

The GECoP is published by Vision for Sustainable Events, with the review chaired by LIVE Green. It was supported by a working group that included event sustainability experts—specifically A Greener Future, Creative Zero, and Hope Solutions—as well as event promoters Festival Republic and AEG.

Following a successful 2024 pilot with 10 local authorities focused on integrating the code into their processes, the updated GECoP will be adopted by more than 20 UK cities in 2025. This expansion is the next step toward a national roll-out, ultimately aiming to provide an off-the-shelf framework and baseline for nationally consistent event assessment.

Chris Johnson, Chair of the Vision for Sustainable Events Forum, comments:

“Fundamentally, the Green Code aims to answer the question, ‘What does good look like?’ This refresh brings the code up to date, providing clarity for the sector on best practice and on the action we need to take to achieve meaningful reductions in the environmental impacts of events.”

GECoP is intended to establish a common understanding of best practice, offering clear and robust minimum standards that can be assessed to achieve national consistency. The updated code articulates the sector’s continued commitment to achieving a 50% reduction in emissions by 2030. It also emphasises the industry’s role as a driver of wider societal change.

Targets for energy have been strengthened in this second version, now including a 100% reduction in onsite fossil fuel consumption at live events by 2030. This aligns with wider creative, TV, and film industry commitments. HVO fuel is acknowledged as a transitional bridge where electric or green hydrogen solutions cannot yet meet power needs.

Draya Michele & Jalen Green Spotted Arguing During New York Fashion Week

The Shade Room obtained footage of Draya and Jalen after they reportedly hit up the Mert and Marcus 71 Gin party at The Manor in NYC. Per Page Six, the pair left the venue around 2 a.m., but things quickly got heated as they walked the streets.

The video shows Jalen walking way ahead of Draya while two other people trail nearby. Draya then sprints up behind Jalen, trying to catch up. The two friends with them jump in, trying to de-escalate things, but Draya and Jalen could be seen trading words. At one point, they even get face-to-face before one friend steps in to separate them. Jalen can reportedly be heard yelling in Draya’s face, “I hate you!” At the end of the clip, Draya walks off in one direction while Jalen leaves with a woman who seems to know both of them. She tries to hold his arm, but Jalen snaps and says, “Get off me.”

Right now, there’s no word on what sparked Draya and Jalen to clash, and neither of them has addressed the situation on social media.

First Look Teaser for ‘New Years Rev’ – A Green Day Story Road Trip

by Alex Billington
September 8, 2025
Source: YouTube

“How are we getting there?” “We’re taking Wayne’s car.” Green Day has revealed a teaser trailer for a new film titled New Years Rev, a fictional feature film about an up-and-coming rock band that thinks they’re opening for Green Day. It’s produced by Green Day, but not really about them! The film just premiered at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival this week, hence this teaser trailer dropping now to celebrate its unveiling. The flick is titled New Years Rev – a coming-of-age road trip film. The story of three young punks willing to risk it all to follow their dream… A garage rock trio gets the opportunity of a lifetime to open up for a Green Day concert and hit the road across America to make the gig. The only problem is… they didn’t realize it was a prank. Directed by Lee Kirk, the indie film stars Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman, Ryan Foust, along with Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, Fred Armisen, Bobby Lee, Mckenna Grace, Keen Ruffalo, Ignacio Diaz-Silverio, and Sean Gunn. Looks like good fun! Coming-of-age teenage mania on the road.

Here’s the first teaser trailer for Lee Kirk’s film New Years Rev, direct from Green Day’s YouTube:

New Years Rev Teaser

New Years Rev Teaser

Intro via TIFF: “Since Green Day burst onto the scene in the 1990s, their sound and success have helped launch a countless number of garage rock bands, each aspiring to channel the group’s energy & attitude. Among the most committed are The Analog Dogs, [a rock band] who want nothing more than to meet Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool. Forcing their way to drop off a demo to their beloved idols in hopes of earning some recognition, they instead get an extremely rare opportunity — to open up for Green Day at their New Year’s concert. Or so they think. Unbeknownst to them, the opener gig is actually a prank played on them by one of their brothers. Nevertheless, naively optimistic, the young trio set off on the road from Kansas to California, with wide-eyed dreams of being on stage alongside their heroes.” 🤘🎸

New Years Rev is written and directed by the American actor / writer / filmmaker Lee Kirk, director of the films The Giant Mechanical Man and Ordinary World previously, plus a few other short films. Produced by Tim Perell, Jolene, Stella Bulochnikov, Robin Rapino, Ryan Kroft, Anna Keegan, and the band Green Day. This is premiering at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival this month playing in the Centerpiece section, but no other premieres set yet. No US release date is set – stay tuned for updates. Look any good? Anyone curious?

For Emma Watson, Venice Is All Gucci (And Lime Green)

by jummy84 September 7, 2025
written by jummy84

Earlier that day, Watson stepped out in an all-over Gucci logo shift dress, with leather piping and pocket detailing, in the same brown and gold patent slingback heels, and Ray-Ban sunglasses. While such logomania could look outre elsewhere, the simple shift dress kept things feeling elegant and ladylike.

Photo: Getty Images

Watson’s commitment to the shift dress is founded: it’s a silhouette that perfectly captures both her ’60s aesthetic and more boho leanings, with its fun, flirty length and easy, flattering shape. A true one-and-done piece, it gives Jane Birkin and Twiggy energy, and more practically, keeps you cool from Croisette to canal boat.

These sightings mark the first time Watson has ever appeared at the Venice Film Festival, and it’s best six years since her last major role, in Little Women. Before that, Watson hadn’t been to Cannes since 2013, then for Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring. Even her last red carpet was back in 2023, when she posed with Malala Yousafzai for We Dare To Dream.

The Emma Watson style lookbook commits to staying consistent.

Green Day Unveil Teaser Trailer for New Years Rev

by jummy84 September 6, 2025
written by jummy84

Green Day have unveiled the teaser trailer for New Years Rev, their coming-of-age comedy film based on their early days as road-tested young punks. Now grab the popcorn and the guyliner!

New Years Rev sees a young and hungry punk band (played by Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman, and Ryan Foust) hit the road for California after they mistakenly believe they’ve landed the gig of a lifetime opening for Green Day’s New Year’s Eve concert in Los Angeles. What follows on their road trip out West promises to be “rowdy, mischievous, and full of adventure” as the upstarts learn the ins and outs of the true rock star life.

In the 55-second teaser (featuring Green Day’s “Holiday” as the soundtrack), we see the boys hatch their plan, run afoul of a nasty tow truck driver, play their own show seemingly at a skate park, and even catch Green Day on stage. So far it’s a little like Almost Famous meets Get Him to the Greek (without all that needless Russell Brand showing up), and this one could be a neat little celebration of the snark and spirit Green Day maintain even to this very day. Check out the teaser below.

Related Video

“Van days rule,” Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong said in a previous statement. “You will drive all night on no sleep then play a show for 10 kids in a basement of a friend of a friend’s house 50 miles east of anywhere you’ve ever heard of. But you’ll do it again the next day, and the one after that. Because you’re doing it with your bandmates who become your family and it’s unlike anything you’ve ever known. It’s electric. Let the music and mischief ensue.”

The film, which is still without a release date, also stars The Office‘s own Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey as well as Bobby Lee, Fred Armisen, Sean Gunn, and Ignacio Diaz-Silverio. Fischer’s husband, Lee Kirk (Ordinary World), acts as both writer and director. Green Day also serve as executive producers (alongside what’s basically “punk rock spirit animals”).

Despite the overtly rebellious energy of this flick, it’s worth noting that the film was produced in tandem with Live Nation. The ticketing giant previously produced the 2018 Lady Gaga vehicle A Star Is Born and is also behind the forthcoming Rolling Loud, in which Owen Wilson plays a father who sneaks his 13-year-old son into the eponymous music festival.

Riley Green, Dolly Parton & More

by jummy84 September 2, 2025
written by jummy84

This week, Riley Green offers up a smoldering heartbreaker of a song, while Dolly Parton reunites with bluegrass group The Grascals on an uplifting new track, and HARDY and ERNEST team up for a new song sounding a death knell for bro country.

Explore

See latest videos, charts and news

Check out all of these and more in Billboard‘s roundup of some of the best country, bluegrass and/or Americana songs of the week below.

Riley Green, “Make It Rain”

Green has been making big career strides recently, thanks to flirty or sultry songs such as the Ella Langley collaboration “You Look Like You Love Me” and his own “Worst Way.” But on his latest, from his Don’t Mind If I Do deluxe project, Green’s voice brims with vulnerable remorse on this heartbreak ballad. Written by Green, Nick Walsh and Blake Pendergrass, the song’s verses find Green detailing the various things he has no power to do: “I can’t make the wind blow or the sun come out,” he sings. But by the chorus, he’s self-recriminating over his ability to shatter a romantic relationship, or as he puts it, bring his ex-lover to tears and “make it rain.” Flashes of intense, stormy guitar heighten the song’s raw emotional feel. Overall, the track is a persuasive reminder of Green’s prowess not only as a country vocalist, but as a songwriter.

The Grascals and Dolly Parton, “Broken Angels”

Bluegrass group The Grascals team with Dolly Parton on this uplifting track, which takes on issues of depression and addiction while being an uplifting encouragement to those recovering or in the midst of the struggle. The Grascals and Parton have had a longstanding creative kinship, with The Grascals touring with Parton early on. The Grascals co-founder Jamie Johnson co-wrote the song with Parton.

“I know my better self wants to shine through,” they sing, their voices melding into warm, striking harmony as the lyrics plead for strength to keep aiming for a newfound peace. The tender song is bolstered by fiddle work from Jimmy Mattingly and Jamie Harper. The song also marks the debut single from The Grascals’s upcoming album and is a timely song that’s well worth repeated listens.

HARDY and ERNEST, “Bro Country”

While launching his own artist career that toggles hard rock and country hits, HARDY was himself known for crafting some of country music’s top “bro country”-era hits for artists such as Florida Georgia Line and Morgan Wallen in the mid-2010s. On his latest, he teams with fellow country singer-songwriter ERNEST to craft what’s essentially a musical farewell address to the passing of the “bro country” era. It isn’t the first time HARDY has written a musical eulogy for country music (2023’s “Here Lies Country Music” mourned the loss of old-school country).

This new song, written by HARDY, ERNEST and Mark Holman, acknowledges the popularity and success of “bro country,” while chronicling the shift in sounds over the past several years as more traditional-leaning country sounds come to the forefront. Frank lyrics, with just a bit of snark, depict the rise of “big boys with beards,” noting that “Outlaws with long hair/ Yeah, they’re back with a vengeance.” Bringing in ERNEST (whose 2024 album Nashville, Tennessee, is steeped in vintage country sounds) as both a co-writer and vocalist brings an added grit to the song.

SJ McDonald, “Honky Tonk Pie”

Virginia native McDonald has previously established herself as an artist who etches unflinchingly honest songs and has a ’90s country-influenced sound, releasing songs such as “Right Hand Man.” In her latest, she details the anxiety-inducing lows of an artist paying dues in a quest for musical stardom, on lines such as “slingin’ cheap guitars, sleepin’ in my car, countin’ floorboard change.” With McDonald’s bright twang and the song’s rolling rhythms and relentless energy, this song is a worthy addition to any rotation.

Baylee Lynn, “Cautiously Optimistic”

Newcomer Lynn, 17, offers up equal parts bubbly pop-country with vulnerable songwriting on her debut single, “Cautiously Optimistic.” The captures the emotional tension of potential love after heartbreak, toggling between fear and the desire to trust in a fledgling new romance. Written by Lynn with AJ Pruis, Kyle Sturrock and Brett Tyler, this first outing from Lynn admirably blends her youthful vocal charisma with a sense of plucked-from-her-own-story relatability.

Laci Kaye Booth, “Luck of the Draw”

With songs like “Daddy’s Mugshot” and her latest, “Luck of the Draw,” Booth is cementing her reputation as a singer-songwriter who pulls no punches and refuses to water down her sound or her message. In her latest, she sings of trying to make sense of rising rents, rising drug use, and a plethora of other personal and societal challenges as an exercise in futility. “Life’s a gamble anyway,” she sings, as the song’s exquisitely crafted, resigned-yet-resilient storyline is driven by Booth’s enchanting, feather-light vocal. Booth wrote the song with Ryman Wooten and Ben West. The track follows her 2024 album The Loneliest Girl in the World.
