Grammys 2026 Nominations Revealed: See the Complete List

written by jummy84

Nominees for the 2026 Grammy Awards have been revealed, with Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Jack Antonoff, Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, SZA, Turnstile, Tyler, the Creator, Doechii, and Hayley Williams leading the way.

Kendrick Lamar continued his massive year, leading all contenders with a total of seven nominations. GNX is up for Album of the Year, while “luther,” his collaboration with SZA, is nominated for Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Lamar previously claimed the prizes for Song and Record of the Year at the 2025 Grammys for his Drake diss track “Not Like Us.”

Like Lamar, Bad Bunny is also nominated for Album, Song, and Record of the Year at the 2026 Grammys, thanks to his latest project, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, and its standout single, “DTMF.”

Other Album of the Year contenders include Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend, Clipse’s Let God Sort Em Out, Tyler, the Creator’s CHROMAKOPIA, and Lady Gaga’s Mayhem.

Alongside “luther” and “DTMF,” other notable Song of the Year nominees include “Golden,” the breakout smash by Huntr/x from Netflix’s K-Pop Demon Hunters, and “APT.”,  ROSÉ’s blockbuster collaboration with Bruno Mars. Rounding out the category are Billie Eilish’s “Wildflower,” Doechii’s “Anxiety,” Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra,” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild.”

With the exception of “Golden,” many of those same names are also up for Record of the Year. In place of “Golden,” Chappell Roan’s “The Subway” will also vie for Grammy gold in the category.

The nominees for Artist of the Year are as eclectic as ever, including names like KATSEYE, The Marías, Lola Young, Olivia Dean, Addison Rae, sombr, Leon Thomas, and Alex Warren.

Hayley Williams earned four Grammy nominations. Her recent solo album Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party is nominated for Best Alternative Music Album, while her songs “Parachute” and “Mirtazapine” are up for Best Alternative Music Performance and Best Rock Performance, respectively. Additionally, “Glum” received a nomination for Best Rock Song.

Competing against Williams in the Alternative categories are The Cure, who received their first Grammy nominations in more than two decades. Robert Smith and co. earned a nod in the Alternative Music Album category thanks to their comeback album Songs of a Lost World, while their song “Alone” is a finalist for Alternative Music Performance.

Other finalists in the Alternative Music Album category include Bon Iver for SABLE, fABLE, Wet Leg for moisturizer, and, perhaps most curiously, Tyler, the Creator for DON’T TAP THE GLASS.

On the Best Rock Album front, nominees include Deftones’ private music, Turnstile’s NEVER ENOUGH, HAIM’s i quit, Linkin Park’s From Zero, and Yungbud’s Idols. Meanwhile, Best Metal Performance nominees feature names like Dream Theater, Ghost, Sleep Token, Spiritbox, and Turnstile.

Speaking of Turnstile, with a total of five nominations in 2026, they’re the first band to be nominated across Rock, Alternative, and Metal categories in a single year.

Now in its 68th year, the Grammys recognize the best albums, songs, and music released between the eligibility period (August 31st, 2024, to August 30th, 2025). If you’re wondering, Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl was not released within the window of eligibility.

The 2026 Grammy Awards will take place on February 1st, 2026 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The event will be aired live on CBS and Paramount+.

Ahead of the 2026 Grammys, the Recording Academy has announced a few rule changes and introduced new categories. Most notably, artists who previously appeared on an Album of the Year-nominated record can now be considered for Best New Artist, provided their contributions amounted to 20 percent or less of that album. Two new categories have also been added: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover, bringing the total number of Grammy categories to 95. Additionally, Best Country Album has been renamed Best Contemporary Country Album, while Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package has been merged back into the Best Recording Package category.

Also of note, the 2026 Grammy ballots will be presented in a randomized order for the first time, rather than alphabetically. According to Recording Academy Chief Awards and Global Industry Officer Ruby Marchand, the update “brings our process in line with standard voting best practices … and further ensures the process is fair and equitable for all entries.” The move is widely seen as a way to encourage voters to engage with the entire ballot, rather than defaulting to familiar names or artists appearing first alphabetically, helping to level the playing field across all contenders.

Grammys 2026: Addison Rae, Leon Thomas, and More Nominated for Best New Artist

by jummy84 November 7, 2025

Addison Rae, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, and Alex Warren are among the nominees for Best New Artist at the 2026 Grammy Awards. Also in the running are Katseye, the Marías, Olivia Dean, and Sombr. Find the full list of 2026 Grammy nominations here.

After years bubbling under the surface of mainstream pop, Rae landed with her debut album, Addison, back in June, and Warren is riding into contention off the back of You’ll Be Alright Kid and hit single “Ordinary.” Thomas, too, has been in the pop-cultural conversation for some time, acknowledged here for his perceived breakout album, Mutt, which follows 2023’s Electric Dusk. British artists Olivia Dean and Lola Young are nominated in tandem with their second and third albums, respectively, while Bad Bunny collaborators the Marías are recognized 18 months after releasing second album Submarine. The multinational girl group Katseye may not have an album to their name, but their Beautiful Chaos EP has bestowed them some pop bona fides as they level up from their status as Netflix reality stars. Aside from Rae, Sombr is the only artist to release a debut album in the eligibility window.

Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Doechii, and Raye were among last year’s Best New Artist nominees. Roan ended up taking home the trophy. Other recent winners include Samara Joy, Olivia Rodrigo, Megan Thee Stallion and Billie Eilish.

The 2026 Grammy Awards will air live, on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena. Follow along with all of Pitchfork’s coverage of the 2026 Grammy Awards, and revisit “Who Should Be Nominated at the 2026 Grammy Awards.”

Rolling Stone Tips Lady Gaga’s Mayhem As 2026 Grammys Album Of The Year Front-Runner | Glamsham.com

Lady Gaga is once again in the Grammy spotlight, and this time, she might just take it all. Rolling Stone has predicted that Gaga’s Mayhem could be the album to beat at the 2026 Grammys. Critics are calling it her most confident and layered work in years, and the momentum around it feels massive. After a decade filled with acting projects, fashion triumphs, and creative reinventions, Gaga has returned to music with the same bold energy that defined her early career, only sharper and more seasoned.

Gaga’s history with the Grammys has always been remarkable. She earned three consecutive Album of the Year nominations starting with The Fame in 2010, followed by The Fame Monster in 2011 and Born This Way in 2012. Each project pushed pop boundaries and redefined what a mainstream artist could do. Now, after more than a decade, she’s back with experience, artistry, and a sound that merges the raw energy of her debut with the maturity of a global icon.

“Lady Gaga always feels like a strong contender for this category,” says John Stein, Head of North America Editorial at Spotify. “But this time, she has both the story and the music on her side.” His comment reflects a wider industry sentiment: Mayhem isn’t just a pop record, nit’s a cultural moment. The album blends experimental production with emotional songwriting, giving fans both spectacle and soul.

Still, Gaga faces serious competition. Bad Bunny’s next project is expected to dominate global charts, Kendrick Lamar is rumored to be dropping a politically charged record, and Tyler, the Creator is known for his unpredictable yet artistic albums. The 2026 Grammys might turn into one of the fiercest Album of the Year races in recent memory. But as of now, all eyes are on Gaga and Mayhem, the comeback everyone’s been waiting for.

Morgan Wallen & ‘I’m The Problem’ Will Not Be Submitted for Grammys

by jummy84 August 20, 2025
written by jummy84

As Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem sits at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for the 11th non-consecutive week, Billboard has learned that his team will not submit the album, any of the 37 songs on the voluminous set, or Wallen for consideration for the 68th Grammy Awards, to be held Feb. 1, 2026.

Hits Daily Double broke the news earlier Tuesday (Aug. 19) that the album would not be submitted, but Billboard understands that the action goes further and includes not putting Wallen forward in any category, such as best country solo performance, or any of the seven songs that he co-wrote in any song categories in any genre or general field.

However, Wallen and his camp are not stopping the other songwriters from submitting their works from the album, which has already spawned four No. 1s on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart and three chart-toppers on the Hot Country Songs chart. It has also generated one No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100: Wallen’s duet with Tate McRae, “What I Want.”

Wallen, whose 2021 Big Loud/Republic album Dangerous: The Double Album is Billboard‘s No. 1 album of the first 25 years of the 21st century, is removing himself from consideration from an awards body whose voters have almost totally ignored his musical contributions.

The only nominations that the country superstar has received in his nearly 10-year career were for his work on Post Malone’s F1 Trillion album. Their chart-topping duet, “I Had Some Help,” received nods for best country duo/group performance and best country song for the awards presented this past February. Wallen has never received any nominations for any works from his solo albums.

As of this week, Wallen has logged 40 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — a total matched or exceeded by only eight artists in the chart’s nearly 70-year history. All eight of those artists have won multiple Grammys.

Additionally, Wallen is one of only 19 artists to log 30 or more weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Wallen and The Monkees are the only artists with 30 or more weeks at No. 1 who have not won a Grammy.

First-round voting for the Grammy Awards runs Oct. 3-15 with nominations due to be announced Nov. 7.

Wallen’s action is extraordinarily rare, but not unprecedented among superstars. Both The Weeknd and Drake previously decided not to submit in the Grammy process. Their actions also followed years of feeling under-recognized.

The Weeknd decided to boycott the ceremony following his controversial shut-out at the 2021 ceremony. The R&B superstar was thought to be a strong contender for album of the year for his fourth LP After Hours, which spent four consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, as well as for record and song of the year for his smash hit “Blinding Lights,” which became Billboard ‘s biggest Hot 100 song of all time. But when the 2021 Grammy Award nominations were revealed, The Weeknd’s name was nowhere to be found.

The Weeknd initially expressed his frustration toward the Recording Academy by tweeting, “The Grammys remain corrupt.” In his second Twitter missive, he wrote that he went from planning a Grammys performance to being “not invited.” The Weeknd later stated in a Billboard cover story that his snub in the top categories felt like “a sucker punch.”

Like The Weeknd, Wallen may find himself nominated despite his decision not to submit, for example, if McRae’s team submits their duet. The Weeknd was up for three awards at the 2022 ceremony thanks to his contributions to recordings by Ye (formerly Kanye West) and Doja Cat.

Drake blasted the Grammys following The Weeknd’s surprising shut-out at the 2021 Grammys. “I think we should stop allowing ourselves to be shocked every year by the disconnect between impactful music and these awards and just accept that what once was the highest form of recognition may no longer matter to the artists that exist now and the ones that come after,” he wrote on Instagram. “This is a great time for somebody to start something new that we can build up over time and pass on to the generations to come.”

Leading up to the 2022 Grammy Awards, Drake was initially announced as a nominee for best rap performance (for “Way 2 Sexy,” featuring Future and Young Thug) and best rap album (for Certified Lover Boy), but asked to have his name withdrawn from contention for both awards on Dec. 6, 2021. The Recording Academy honored his request and officially removed his nominations for both awards.

Since then, Drake has received eight nominations – all for collaborations with other artists.

Wallen’s representative declined to comment. Representatives from Big Loud, Republic and the Recording Academy did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
