“I’m fired?!” “You’re human… Uh oh, he’s going to learn some lessons… Lionsgate has debuted another new trailer for the comedy Good Fortune, written and directed by Aziz Ansari, directing his first film after eps of “Master of None”. This is hitting theaters in October soon if anyone wants to watch. A well-meaning but rather inept angel named “Gabriel” meddles with the lives of a struggling gig worker and a wealthy VC. He takes a liking to a simple gig worker named Arj who sometimes does tasks for the very wealthy Jeff. He makes them trade places to understand money won’t solve problems, but when it does solve Arj’s problems, he loses his wings and must join them down on Earth as their roommate. There’s likely a few third act twists where it’s not all okay, but you have to watch to find out. Keanu Reeves stars as the angel Gabriel, along with Seth Rogen, Aziz Ansari, plus Keke Palmer, Sandra Oh, and Stephen McKinley Henderson, too. This premiered at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival – all of these quotes comes from reviews at the fest. So far, so good. This seems like it should be a fun comedy with this great cast making us laugh for a few hours.

Here’s the third official trailer for Aziz Ansari’s comedy Good Fortune, from Lionsgate’s YouTube:

You can rewatch the teaser for Aziz Ansari’s comedy Good Fortune right here and the full trailer here.

Gabriel (Keanu Reeves) is a “budget guardian angel” named Gabriel. One day, he notices a man down on his luck (Aziz Ansari), who does odd jobs for a wealthy socialite named Jeff (Seth Rogen) who is a Venture Capitalist. Once the man falls asleep sitting in a booth at a Denny’s, he hits rock-bottom after subsequently having his car towed from their parking lot. Intervening in his plight, Gabriel tries to convince the man that being wealthy like Jeff would not solve his problems by swapping the two men’s lives. Failing at this demonstration as the man’s problems are solved by Jeff’s wealth, Gabriel loses his wings and is sent down to Earth to live among humans, while the man takes over Jeff’s body and livelihood. Gabriel then becomes roommates with the displaced Jeff, as all the good work he did as an angel begins to unravel around them.

Good Fortune is written and directed by Indian-American actor / comedian / producer / filmmaker Aziz Ansari, making his feature directorial debut with this, after directing episodes of his own series “Master of None” previously; he also wrote episodes of “Master of None” and the TV movie Dangerously Delicious, plus other comedy writing over the years. It’s produced by Aziz Ansari, Brady Fujikawa, Jon Humphrey, Anthony Katagas, David Koplan, and Alan Yang. Lionsgate will debut Aziz Ansari’s Good Fortune movie in theaters nationwide starting on October 17th, 2025 later this fall. First impression? Look funny enough?

In the 10 years since launching, Rixo has been picked up by retailers like Net-a-Porter, worn by celebrities ranging from Kate Middleton to Olivia Rodrigo, and opened stores across London and in New York City. So it might be surprising to hear that the brand’s founders, Henrietta Rix and …

‘Swiped’ Reclaims The Girlboss Era, But Is It Any Good?

by jummy84 September 18, 2025
written by jummy84

Goldberg’s movie recounts all of this, framing Wolfe Herd as the quintessential girlboss we’ve come to know and become somewhat wary of in that era; one who wears hoodies and blazers to the office, chugs beer at frat parties and jokes around with the boys, yet everyone wants to date, and who subsists on a diet of crappy junk food and Red Bulls, yet somehow has not one blemish on their skin. The movie comes on the heels of other similar movies and series about high-powered women, and in a time when we’re reframing just how we view ambitious women who have been maligned, mistreated, and misunderstood in the past. This has run the gamut from the 2017 Netflix series Girlboss, which chronicled Nasty Gal founder Sophie Amuroso’s start and rise to resale dominance, to Hulu’s 2022 miniseries The Dropout, an intimate and complicated portrayal of Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes. It’s important to note that, like Wolfe Herd, most of these redemptive arcs have explored the experiences of white women.

Listen to Silvana Estrada’s New Song “Good Luck, Good Night”

by jummy84 September 18, 2025
written by jummy84

Next month, Silvana Estrada releases Vendrán Suaves Lluvias. She’s now shared the fifth and final preview of the new album. Listen to the Estrada-produced “Good Luck, Good Night” below.

“This is a song born out of pain, and, above all, out of humor, as a way to cope with it,” Estrada said of “Good Luck, Good Night” in a press statement. “It’s a delirium, and, at the same time, an act of letting go. A heartbreak song in every sense. It was the last song I wrote for the album, and, in many ways, it marks the end of a friendship. The truth is, even if it’s hard to admit, not all stories end well. Not all of them come with neat little morals or a light behind every goodbye. Some people, and some breakups—are just dark, no matter how you look at them. And it’s exactly in that darkness that humor shows up, like a guard dog, keeping you company.”

Vendrán Suaves Lluvias is Estrada’s second studio album, and it’s out October 17 via Glassnote. Along with “Good Luck, Good Night,” the follow-up to 2022’s Marchita will include “Como un Pájaro” (which was just nominated for Best Singer-Songwriter Song at the 2025 Latin Grammy Awards), “Lila Alelí,” “Dime,” and “No Te Vayas Sin Saber.”

Another Scary Trailer for ‘Good Boy’ Doggie Supernatural Horror Film

“Not only has the scares but also a massive heart.” Indy the Dog!! 🐕 IFC Films has debuted another trailer for one of this year’s major indie horror breakouts titled Good Boy, a horror film told from the perspective of the “good boy” family dog. This is ready to hit theaters starting in early October as perfect horror season entertainment. The debut feature by filmmaker Ben Leonberg, this first premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival earlier in the year. A loyal doggie named Indy moves to a rural home with his owner Todd, only to discover supernatural forces lurking in the shadows. As dark entities threaten his human companion, the brave pup must fight to protect the one he loves most. Good Boy stars Indy the Dog as Indy, with Larry Fessenden, Arielle Friedman, Shane Jensen, Anya Krawcheck, & Stuart Rudin. The reviews are pretty good, but don’t expect this to be the best horror film ever made. It’s really all about the pooch and his amazing time starring on screen in this – saving the day and fighting off ghosts. I can’t wait to watch! Enjoy.

Here’s the second trailer (+ poster) for Ben Leonberg’s horror film Good Boy, direct from IFC’s YouTube:

Good Boy Trailer

You can rewatch the first official trailer for Ben Leonberg’s Good Boy film right here for even more footage.

Our canine hero, Indy, finds himself on a new adventure with his human owner—and best friend—Todd, leaving city life for a long-vacant family home in the country. From the start, two things are abundantly clear: Indy is wary of the creepy old house, and his affection for Todd is unwavering. After moving in, Indy is immediately vexed by the empty corners, tracks an invisible presence only he can see, perceives phantasmagoric warnings from a long-dead dog, and is haunted by visions of the previous occupant’s grim death. When Todd begins succumbing to the dark forces swirling around the house, Indy must battle a malevolence intent on dragging his beloved Todd into the afterlife… Good Boy is directed by American indie genre filmmaker Ben Leonberg, making his feature directorial debut after many other short films previously. The screenplay is written by Alex Cannon and Ben Leonberg. Produced by Ben Leonberg & Kari Fischer. This first premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival earlier this year. IFC Films opens Leonberg’s Good Boy film in select US theaters starting on October 3rd, 2025 this fall. Who’s ready to watch this? 🐶

For Good’ Soundtrack Release Date & Tracklist Revealed

by jummy84 September 17, 2025
written by jummy84

Good news! The soundtrack for Wicked: For Good now has a release date and official tracklist — featuring the titles of two brand new songs added to the musical’s songbook — as revealed on Wednesday (Sept. 17).

Arriving Nov. 21 — the same day that the Wicked sequel is set to hit theaters this fall — the soundtrack will include a total of 11 songs. In addition to the already beloved titles that will transfer over from the Wicked Broadway musical’s soundtrack, such as “Thank Goodness/I Couldn’t Be Happier,” “As Long as You’re Mine” and “For Good,” the upcoming film will have two original works specially written for the screen adaptation.

“I’m especially happy that the soundtrack album for Wicked: For Good has so much new music on it,” said Stephen Schwartz, who composed the score for the Wicked stage production and has worked on the music for the movies, in a statement. “In addition to two brand new songs, there is a lot that’s new in several other existing songs. So not only listeners coming to the score for the first time, but longtime fans of the original Broadway cast album will have a great deal to discover.”

Cynthia Erivo will perform the first all-new track, titled “No Place Like Home.” In a Variety podcast interview in December, the actress — who plays Elphaba in the Wicked films — teased that the added ballad is sure to be emotional.

“I don’t know if you’re ready for it,” she said at the time, noting that she helped write the track with Schwartz. “I feel like the song is very, very special. I have a feeling that even the title will move you.”

Ariana Grande, who plays Glinda, will sing the other new song, which is called “The Girl in the Bubble.”

The Wicked: For Good soundtrack certainly has big ruby red shoes to fill, as the first Wicked‘s corresponding album — which dropped alongside the film in November 2024 — entered at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. In doing so, it secured the highest ever debut for a big-screen adaptation of a stage musical on the chart.

See the full Wicked: For Good soundtrack tracklist below.

Meg Stalter Did the Bare Minimum on the Emmys Red Carpet—But for a Good Reason

by jummy84 September 15, 2025
written by jummy84

If there’s one thing we know about Megan Stalter, it’s when she gets dressed for a red carpet, she get’s dressed on purpose. And for the Emmys 2025, Meg Stalter made the purpose behind her surprisingly low-key ensemble extremely clear.

While most of the stars on the Emmys red carpet (and any red carpet) dressed up in couture and high fashion, it doesn’t get much more laid back than Levis blue jeans and a Hanes white T-shirt, which is what Stalter wore. She accessorized with silver jewelry, pointed toe black flats, and sunglasses, over which she peeked coquettishly. A classic red lip and matching nails added a Cindy Crawford-esque touch to her look.

John Shearer

But the star of the Hacks and Too Much actor’s ensemble was her black bag, which featured a white label reading, “Cease fire!” in all caps. The message refers to the conflict in Palestine, and calls for an end to hostilities. “It’s the most important to stick up for people and for peace,” she told Variety on the red carpet. “We have to use our platforms. What’s the point of being at these big events if you’re not going to use your privilege?”

Of Course Megan Stalter Is the Main Character

Whether you’re watching her viral videos or her scene-stealing character in HBO’s Hacks, it’s obvious that Meg Stalter is a star. And now she has the show to prove it. Ahead of the premiere of her new Netflix series, Too Much, written for her by Lena Dunham, the 33-year-old reflects on what got her to this moment.

It’s possible that the political message was coordinated somewhat between some of the Hacks stars. While accepting her best supporting actress win for Hacks, Hannah Einbinder—wearing an Artists4Ceasefire pin—finished her speech with, “Free Palestine.”

Jonathan Majors’ Mom Says She Counseled Him & Meagan Good Before Officiating Their Marriage: It Had To Be Deepened. It Had To Be Lasting

Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good were not only joined in marriage by loved ones but also deeply counseled by family before tying the knot.

On a new episode of The Tamron Hall Show, Majors’ mother, Terri Anderson-Watson, revealed she led their premarital counseling sessions and officiated the private ceremony.

“Because this is a vow they’re making before God. It had to be for real. It had to be deepened. It had to be lasting,” she told Tamron. Anderson-Watson said she was initially concerned about their “spiritual position in marriage” and guided them through sessions focused on commitment and faith.

Louis Tomlinson "got a really good feeling" about his next album

Louis Tomlinson “got a really good feeling” about his next album

by jummy84 September 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Louis Tomlinson is teasing his next solo album, saying he’s “got a really, really good feeling” about the project.

  • READ MORE: Louis Tomlinson on finding his artistic identity: “It’ll be an ever-evolving process”

The soloist and former One Direction member released his second and latest full-length effort, ‘Faith In The Future’, in 2022.

Taking to X/Twitter today (September 10), Tomlinson shared an update with fans about his upcoming third LP.

“Just sat listening to the new record and I’ve got a really, really good feeling this time round!” he wrote. “Can’t wait for you all to hear it!!”

Later, the star hinted that he was “going to play something new” at this year’s edition of his Away From Home indie festival in New York next month. When a fan asked if this would be “only one new song”, Tomlinson replied: “That wouldn’t be fair would it.”

The singer told his followers last week that it was “about time” he played some new material on stage. He said he was “really excited about” his Away From Home ’25 slot, adding: “Got a few surprises. Should be fun.”

Fans have also been speculating over Tomlinson posting numerous question marks on social media, and whether this is a clue about his next era. Check out a selection of posts below.

According to Music-News.COM, Tomlinson previously described his forthcoming new tracks as “sunny” with some “chaos” when asked by a fan what to expect.

When performing at the Lodz Summer Festival in July, he reportedly revealed that he’d “actually finished the next record”.

Tomlinson’s Away From Home Festival 2025 takes place at the Brewery Ommegang in New York on October 4 and 5. Other performers include Lauv, Steve Aoki, Pale Waves and Circa Waves.

Following on from his 2020 debut, ‘Walls’, Tomlinson’s second album was produced by Mike Crossey, who has worked with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, The 1975 and Wolf Alice. The singer co-wrote the record alongside The Music frontman Rob Harvey, and the songwriting and production team Red Triangle.

During an interview with NME in 2022, the singer said he was “definitely” more comfortable with who he was as an artist compared to when he first went solo.

“That has been a process and I think it’ll be an ever-evolving process as well,” Tomlinson explained. “But I definitely feel really comfortable about just following my heart musically and seeing where it gets me.”

You can revisit NME‘s video interview with Tomlinson above.

Over the summer, the singer hit out at online “conspiracy chat” about his personal life. “It’s just too much and too hurtful for me to see!” he wrote on social media.

In 2023, Tomlinson admitted that he felt some “envy” when his former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles first started becoming successful as a soloist.
