Elton John Sings “God Only Knows” in Tribute to Brian Wilson: Watch

Elton John delivered a lovely tribute performance in honor of the late Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson during the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony.

John spoke before the performance, recalling, “In 1970 when I first came to Los Angeles, Danny Hutton from Three Dog Night took me and Bernie Taupin around to meet Brian Wilson — and I was scared shitless. Because he was my idol, my biggest influence when it came to writing songs on the piano.”

Unfortunately, Elton didn’t play piano during the tribute, but he did sing “God Only Knows.” Behind him was a band that featured Don Was on standup bass and one of the greatest drummers of all time Kenny Aronoff.

Wilson passed away on June 11th, 2025, at the age of 82. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Beach Boys in 1988.

John also previously paid tribute to Wilson in the immediate aftermath of hisDon  passing, writing in a post to Instagram, Brian “Wilson was always so kind to me from the day I met him. He sang ‘Someone Saved My Life Tonight’ at a tribute concert in 2003, and it was an extraordinary moment for me. I played on his solo records, he sang on my album, The Union, and even performed for my AIDS Foundation.”

“I grew to love him as a person, and for me, he was the biggest influence on my songwriting ever; he was a musical genius and revolutionary,” John added. “He changed the goalposts when it came to writing songs and shaped music forever. A true giant.”

Dyan Cannon opens up about finding peace through faith in God: ‘I’ve come to understand there’s just one…’

Dyan Cannon, the Oscar-nominated actress, now 88, told Fox News Digital that she tried “drugs, men and pills” before finding the one thing that finally gave her peace, her faith in God. Cannon, who co-hosts a new podcast called God’s Table Hollywood, said her lifelong search for meaning was filled with detours. “My main seeking has been to understand why I’m here, to understand who I really am,” she said.

“Not to fit in necessarily, and not to stand out necessarily. But to understand. And in understanding, there’s been freedom for me,” she added.

She laughed softly when she admitted how long it took. “I’ve tried everything,” she said. “But they were like a Band-Aid that didn’t stick when I started to sweat.”

Faith, she explained, gave her footing. “Faith has helped me with my emotional life. I used to expect a man to make me happy. Can you believe that? I used to think that was his job, to make me happy. That’s… impossible,” she explained.

Cannon’s on being married to Cary Grant and ‘God girl’

Cannon’s love life was once the talk of Hollywood. She married Cary Grant in 1965 when he was 62 and she was 28. They welcomed daughter Jennifer Grant a year later, his only child, but the marriage unraveled in 1968. She later wed producer Stanley Fimberg in 1985 before divorcing six years later.

Her time with Grant was intense. As Fox News Digital noted, she once said Grant introduced her to LSD, convinced it could “help him find peace.” She said,“He thought it was a gateway to God. I knew I shouldn’t do it, but I did it to please him and to save our marriage.”

After the divorce, Cannon turned to pills and marijuana to cope and eventually suffered what she called a “breakdown.” “I was locked up,” she told the outlet.

She shared that her faith grew stronger after that. “When I say I’m a ‘God girl,’ it means that through all the years of seeking and trying, I’ve come to understand there’s just one God who loves everybody the same,” she added.

Cannon talks of learning peace, not perfection

Cannon admitted her openness about faith cost her friendships and some work over the years. “In the past, I lost friends because of it. So-called friends. But I think the city of angels – Los Angeles – better decide whose angels they are,” she said.

These days, she is at peace being single. She still believes in love but is not eager to marry again. “I was forced to give up my career for marriage. I don’t think I’d do that again,” she said.

Cannon smiled when asked what she would tell her younger self—the woman who once saw Grant as “God.” “Snap out of it,” she replied with a laugh, as per Fox News.

Los Angeles is the place to be this week. Ahead of Vogue World: Hollywood, a celebration of fashion and film taking over Paramount Studios on Sunday (tune into the livestream at 6 p.m. PDT!), Vogue brought the excitement street side with an exclusive pop-up in the heart of Hollywood for one day only, on October 24. The shop offered an exclusive chance to shop the highly-anticipated collaboration with Fear of God IRL—a brand that embodies the city’s distinct blend of laid-back cool and cinematic glamour. ICYMI, or just couldn’t get your hands on the right size, the eight-piece collection is still available in-store exclusively at Maxfield LA, and online at Fear of God.

Founded by 2025 CFDA Innovation Award recipient, Jerry Lorenzo, Fear of God has long sought to distill the essence of Los Angeles in its DNA—fittingly, this capsule serves as a love letter to the brand’s hometown. “Los Angeles is home for Fear of God and a constant source of inspiration,” Lorenzo says. “From the creative energy of the Eastside to the quiet ease of kids surfing the waves in Venice; from the heart of the city in Inglewood to Hollywood’s red carpets. This partnership pays tribute to the diverse communities that define Los Angeles and the spirit of American luxury shaped through the California lifestyle.”

The collection features Fear of God’s signature unisex staples–a tank top, oversized T-shirts, long-sleeves, and hoodies rendered in neutral tones and adorned with dual Vogue and Fear of God logos. On the back, find an homage to the city’s iconic neighborhoods, with star detailing along the sleeves calling to mind Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. These are modern staples that feel just at home courtside as they do on Sunset Boulevard, where stardom meets seaside calm.

As Vogue global editorial director, Anna Wintour, described “Vogue World: Hollywood will be a one-night-only show with a huge cast of models and actors, setting great film costumes next to brilliant fashion collections…a runway show-as-rallying cry—a way to fix the attention of a huge global audience, to bring awareness, and sound an unmistakable note of positivity, creativity, and hope.”

Couldn’t make it to the pop-up? No worries. Shop the exclusive capsule at Maxfield Los Angeles or online at fearofgod.com.

Fear of God Spring 2026 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Twelve years and nine collections in, Jerry Lorenzo has stepped up to the plate with the launch of his first full Fear Of God mainline womenswear collection. After an initial first meet-up to see it on the rail in Paris during menswear this June, Lorenzo hopped on a call last Friday to bring Vogue Runway up to speed on the release of his label’s long-gestated entry into this fashion league of its own. “I finally felt I was at the point where I could transmit ease and elegance through construction and lightness,” he said.

Lorenzo is extremely completist in his approach to design: so did this leap from menswear, where he has an inbuilt affinity with his target audience, challenge that? “In menswear, I’m chasing a feeling, and it’s a feeling I know instinctively. So not being a woman puts me at somewhat of a disadvantage, because I can’t innately understand what that feeling is. That for me was the toughest part,” he said.

Part of the collection was rooted in a territory Lorenzo knows extremely well: sportswear, and particularly baseball attire. Here you could see him apply the processes of refinement and elevation of sportswear codes that he has long developed in menswear to womenswear pieces including a cropped, sculpturally shaped hooded jacket and matching drawstring waist paint in slate-shaded nylon taffeta, and a black double faced wool/cashmere coat with baseball collar and sidesplit hem.

Elsewhere, Lorenzo adapted his sensibility to this entirely new playing field without any apparent training wheels drawn from his menswear experience. A spaghetti-strap slip dress in sheer wool-viscose voile was effectively bias cut and body-skimming. Lorenzo said of it: “I just love the simplicity, that you can wear it as it is in the lookbook, super chic and straightforward. Or you could throw it on with some Doc Martens and a flannel, you know, and be super tough. It’s meant to seem simple, but it took 12 or 13 samples to get right.”

Elsewhere the vented hem of a dark ochre boat neck dress in wool was weighted to gather and fold with movement. A floor-length dress shirt was shaped to a familiar architecture but in a fluidly skittish hammered silk chiffon. Working in this as well as other unfamiliar fabrics including sheer jerseys and lightweight cashmeres was both “fun and frustrating,” said Lorenzo. Frustration or no, womenswear represents a learning curve he is determined to surmount: “I feel like this is the biggest thing—the most exciting new frontier for the house.”

EXCLUSIVE: Divyaa Agarwal Recalls Losing Faith In God Until She Met Husband Apurva Padgaonkar; Reveals Her Biggest Wish This Ganesh Chaturthi

by jummy84 August 27, 2025
written by jummy84

Ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi 2025, Divyaa Agarwal revealed her biggest wish for the year. She recalled how her husband, Apurva Padgaonkar, helped her believe in faith once again.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Divyaa Agarwal opened up on her bond with paps. She remembers how she lost faith in devotion, God after her father passed away. The Splitsvilla fame in a fun segment decorated Gnpati Bappa’s Sthan Path. Scroll down to read more.

Divyaa Agarwal On Her Bond With Paps

When asked about her bond with the paps, Divyaa Agarwal said, “I think mera na kuch alag hi rishta hai paps ke saath. It’s very nice. They have always been very nice to me. Mere Splitsvilla ke career jab start hua tha, jab main paps se pehli baar introduce hui thi, tab se hi relation bahut accha hai. And now also, because of the wedding, Apurva’s (Padgaonkar) nature is very much like that — usko sabse zyada logon se baat karna pasand hai. Unko bas waise hi accha lagta hai agar koi puch le. So it’s just nice, you know.”

Divyaa Agarwal Recalls Childhood Memories Of Ganesh Chaturthi

Speaking about her childhood memories of Ganesh Chaturthi, the Splitsvilla fame said, “Dekho, bachpan se hi na, humein do religions ki padhai, matlab shiksha, mummy ne di thi. She was a Sikh, and my dad was a Hindu. Toh dono dharm humein equally sikhaye gaye, aur dono hi humne bahut achhe se nibhaaye. So we are excited about everything related to these two religions. That has always been very nice. Lekin jab dad ki death hui, tab ek complete disconnect ho gaya.”

She added, “I lost that connection, completely disconnected. I think more than 2–2.5 years tak main dekhti tak nahi thi. Bas mann hi nahi karta tha. And it was coming very naturally. Phir connection wapas aaya when Apurva first time mujhe bina bataye Goa ke Shantadurga temple le gaya. Wahan se phir sab wapas aaya. Mangeshi, Shantadurga saare temples kiye, aur phir woh feeling wapas aa gayi. Since then, actually mera connection aur deeper aur better ho gaya. Mujhe lagta hai kahi na kahi Apurva ka meri life mein aana ek spiritual reason bhi tha. Ganpati hum shuru se rakhte the, par ab jo feeling hai woh alag hi dikhti hai.”

Divyaa Reveals Her Biggest Wish

Divyaa revealed her biggest desire for this year, “I think I just want happiness yaar. Usse badi cheez zindagi mein hai hi nahi. You know, there is nothing more than that. Happiness tops everything. Jahaan rahun, jaise bhi rahun bas khush rahun.”

Ganesh Chaturthi begins this year on 27th August. The visarjan date is on 6th September.

“I can’t wait to get to Australia and New Zealand with The Bad Seeds and to bring you our epic Wild God show,” Cave comments in a statement. “It’s been a long time coming, and I’ve missed both Australia and New Zealand very much. It will be a wild and mighty joy.”

The alternative rockers’ setlist will include songs from their 18th and latest studio album Wild God, alongside songs spanning their four-decade career, a statement reads.

Cave has no shortage of classics in his repertoire. In the U.K., his adopted homeland, the band has landed seven top 10 albums, including Wild God, which opened and peaked at No. 5 last year. Cave was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007.

Produced by Cave and Bad Seeds/Dirty Three collaborator Warren Ellis, and mixed by David Fridmann, Wild God hit No. 66 on the Billboard 200, one of his nine titles to impact the albums chart.

Wild God, released through Cave’s own label Bad Seed, via a new, exclusive worldwide licensing agreement with Play It Again Sam, an imprint of the independent [PIAS] label group, was nominated for a raft of awards, including two Grammy categories (best alternative music album and best alternative music performance), best alternative rock record at the Libera Awards and the 2024 Australian Music Prize.
