Gay Meat Releases New Single “Love For Fun”: Listen

by jummy84 November 18, 2025
written by jummy84

Gay Meat: Not necessarily a band name you want to go around recommending to people willy-nilly, but music worth recommending nonetheless. Ex-Museum Mouth frontman Karl Kuehn has been releasing catchy, pensive, emo-leaning indie rock under the moniker for a while, and now he’s got a new label home at Skeletal Lightning, who are releasing Gay Meat’s upcoming debut album Blue Water sometime early in the new year. In the meantime, Kuehn’s sharing the record’s lead single “Love For Fun” today.

As Kuehn tells it, “Love For Fun” was written in the aftermath of a fling with an older guy, which he realized in retrospect was doomed from the start. The track is a slow burner that reaches an epic swell in its final chorus — with some subtle background vocals courtesy of Jeff Rosenstock — as if to mimic the a-ha moment of recognizing that the “love” in question really was just “fun” all along. Listen below.

Keke Wyatt Says There Is Not A Homophobic Bone In My Body After Son Claims She Told Him His Cancer Diagnosis Was ‘Karma’ For Being Gay

#KekeWyatt is seemingly denying recent homophobic claims from her son.

In a statement shared online, she expressed:

“I love my son, and I love all of my children. I love all people. Anyone who truly knows me understands there is not a homophobic bone in my body.”

Keke continued, noting that she, like other parents, isn’t “sunshine” all the time, but that doesn’t change the love she has for her children. Her post comes after her son, Rahjah Ke’ Morton, shared a TikTok accusing Keke of using his cancer battle for “personal gain.” He also claimed she told him the diagnosis was “karma’ for his sexuality.

Snoop Dogg Says ‘My Bad’ Over His Comments on ‘Lightyear’ Gay Couple

“I was just caught off guard and had no answer for my grandsons,” rapper says

Snoop Dogg has addressed the controversial comments he made over his response to his grandson’s questions about a same-sex couple in Lightyear, and the backlash that ensued.

“My bad,” he wrote in a comment on an Instagram post shared on Wednesday from Hollywood Unlocked. It features the hosts discussing Snoop Dogg’s comments with media personality Ts Madison.

“I was just caught off guard and had no answer for my grandsons,” he wrote. “All my gay friends [know] what’s up, they been calling me with love. My bad for not knowing the answers for a 6 yr old. Teach me how to learn. I’m not perfect.”

During a recent appearance on the It’s Giving… Podcast, Snoop told a story about watching Lightyear with his grandson when Snoop said his grandson asked him, “‘Papa Snoop? How she have a baby with a woman? She’s a woman.’ Ah shit, I didn’t come in here for this shit. I just came to watch the goddamn movie.” Snoop said he encouraged his grandson to just watch the movie, but his grandson continued to ask more questions.

“I’m scared to go to the movies now,” Snoop said. “Y’all throwing me in the middle of shit that I don’t have an answer for.” In a since-deleted part of the podcast, he said that the Lightyear scene “threw me for a loop,” adding, “I’m like, ‘What part of the movie was this?’ These are kids. We have to show that at this age? They’re going to ask questions. I don’t have the answer.”

Lightyear screenwriter Lauren Gunderson also responded to the topic on Wednesday.  “So. I created the LIGHTYEAR lesbians,” Gunderson wrote in a statement on Instagram. Gunderson detailed that “a key character needed a partner, and it was so natural to write ‘she’ instead of ‘he.’ As small as that detail is in the film, I knew the representational effect it could have. Small line, big deal. I was elated that they kept it.

“I’m proud of it. To infinity. Love is love,” Gunderson continued. “I was one of a few writers they had on it over the years, which is very common for screenwriting of course. I had very little to do with the final script. But I was proud to see a happy queer couple (even for a few seconds) onscreen. I know they got a lot of shit for this inclusion, but stuff like this matters because beautiful love like this exists.”

Jesse Tyler Ferguson on Pressure He Felt With ‘Modern Family’ Gay Role

by jummy84 August 25, 2025

Jesse Tyler Ferguson is getting candid about the “responsibility” he felt to the LGBTQ community to “get it right” with his portrayal of gay lawyer Mitchell Pritchett in Modern Family.

The actor, who played the character for 11 seasons from 2009 to 2020, recently shared on his Dinner’s on Me podcast that he believed there was “no way to please” everyone when it came to his role on the ABC sitcom.

“I was in the trenches fighting for marriage equality, and I felt so lucky to be part of a pop culture touchstone that was also part of that same issue,” Ferguson recalled, before later admitting he also “felt a responsibility from the [LGBTQ] community when I was given a role like the one I had on Modern Family to get it right and to do it with care and precision.”

He added, “It was tricky for me because I had to tune out that noise of a community wanting me to do it correctly and preciously and, you know, my desire to do it with nuance and levels and layers and also poignancy. I just felt like there was no way to please both camps.”

Now, 15 years after first deputing Mitchell on the small screen, Ferguson said he’s finally letting go of the pressure he once felt regarding the role.

“I’m 1756148762 in a place where I’m, as an actor, being given a role where I’m attracted to the messiness of that character,” he said. “I’m attracted to their flaws. Like, that’s what makes it interesting. And, honestly, that’s what makes the audience interested in watching me.”

Ferguson added, “No one wants to see perfect people. No one wants a sitcom or a movie where it’s like everything just happens neatly. And yet, I felt like, you know, at least in the first few seasons of Modern Family, being put on a pedestal in a way as far as like, OK, this is the gay couple that’s on network television on a huge show. They better get this right.”

Modern Family follows three different, but related, families as they face trials and tribulations in their own uniquely comedic ways. As for Ferguson’s character Mitchell in the series, he and his partner Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) raised their adopted daughter Lily (Frances Anderson).
