Goofy Italian Comedy ‘Sicily Express’ Trailer – A Magical Garbage Bin

“Work in Milan and sleep in Sicily? This Christmas, it will be possible.” Ha! I wonder if this a funny concept only Italians will understand? Netflix has revealed an official trailer for a an extra wacky comedy mini-series titled Sicily Express, ready for streaming on Netflix starting in early December. Another holiday offering from Netflix – this one is really made just for Italians to laugh about. With Christmas around the corner, two blundering Sicilian friends working in Milan discover a dumpster that transports them to their families in seconds. It’s a fun concept where this trash bin allows them to travel instantly between North Italy (where Milan is) and South Italy (where Sicily and Palermo and Naples are located). The new miniseries is written, directed, and starring Ficarra & Picone. The beloved Sicilian duo returns with a five-episode holiday comedy launching in December. Along with Salvatore Ficarra & Valentino Picone, the cast also includes Katia Follesa & Barbara Tabita, along with Max Tortora, Sergio Vastano, Enrico Bertolino, Adelaide Massari, & Angelo Tosto, plus a special appearance by Giorgio Tirabassi. This is exceptionally goofy & the humor is dumb, but I gotta say – it does look fun enough to watch. Especially during the holidays. Enjoy.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Netflix’s comedy series Sicily Express, direct from YouTube:

Sicily Express is a comedy series that tells the story of Salvo and Valentino, two Sicilian nurses who split their lives between their work in Milan and their families back home in Sicily at the bottom of Italy. Just a few days before Christmas, they stumble upon a magical portal inside a garbage bin — an unexpected discovery destined to turn their lives upside down… though not necessarily for the better. Sicily Express, also known as Sicilia Express in Italian, is a comedy mini-series created and made and written and directed by the Italian actors / comedians Salvatore Ficarra & Valentino Picone – aka Ficarra and Picone – also directors of La matassa, It May Be Love But It Doesn’t Show, Andiamo a quel paese, L’ora legale, Once Upon a Time in Bethlehem, and the series “Framed! A Sicilian Murder Mystery” previously. With additional writing by Fabrizio Cestaro, Nicola Guaglianone, Fabrizio Testini. Produced by Tramp Limited. Netflix will debut Sicily Express streaming on Netflix starting December 5th, 2025 coming up. Who wants to watch?

Garbage May Not Play in ‘Many of the Cities’ on Their Tour Again

“Everything must change. All beautiful things come to an end,” the band wrote on Instagram

Garbage‘s forthcoming U.S. tour may be the last time the rock band performs in “many of the cities.” The group shared a post on Instagram confirming that they are “going out in style.”

“Yesterday saw the commencement of rehearsals for our last North American headline tour,” the band wrote. “We haven’t played an extensive headline tour like this one in the States for almost a decade. If the truth be told, it is unlikely we will play many of the cities on this tour ever again.”

They continued, “We are going out in style and we hope you will join us. That’s life my friends. Nothing stays the same forever. Everything must change.  All beautiful things come to an end. We love you.”

The tour kicks off on Sept. 3 in Orlando, with dates scheduled around the U.S. through November. The band will perform at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Nov. 5 before heading to Mexico City for Corona Capital on Nov. 14. The extensive run comes after the band were forced to cancel their 2024 dates last August when front woman Shirley Manson required “surgery and rehabilitation” after breaking her hip.

“To be able to headline our own shows for the first time in nearly 10 years feels very special,” Manson told Rolling Stone earlier this year. “Because we are so much older, every time we get to go out and play together on a long tour, it feels like an enormous privilege, because you just never know when it’s going to come ’round again.”

Garbage’s latest LP, Let All That We Imagine Be the Light, arrived in May. Manson said the title was inspired by the film All That We Imagine as Light, which came out last year. “I have not even seen the movie, but that title lodged itself in my brain,” she told Rolling Stone. “When we were working on [‘Radical’], I’d already sung, ‘All you’ve got to do is save a life,’ and then I started singing ‘Let all that we imagine be the light’ in the second half of the chorus. It fitted in with the music perfectly. It just seemed like such a perfect encapsulation of where my mind was at the time.”
