Sunita Ahuja Steals The Show With Her Joyful Ganesh Visarjan Dance, Govinda Can’t Take His Eyes Off! | Glamsham.com

There was rampant speculation for weeks that paradise was lost for Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja. There were reports of a pending divorce all over social media, hinting that the couple, who were married in 1987, were in some trouble. Some even reported that Sunita had approached court seeking separation. But recent festive celebrations and public outings have conclusively hushed up such reports.

A Happy Ganesh Chaturthi Buries the Rumors

The two recently reunited to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with all devotion and fervor, obviously burying the rumors of their impending divorce. Govinda and Sunita Ahuja brought Lord Ganesha home with traditional fanfare and rituals. They were spotted together throughout the celebrations, right up to the visarjan (immersion) ceremony, smiling, dancing, and having fun.

A viral video on social media captures the couple dancing with full energy to dhol beats during visarjan. Their comfort and chemistry with each other were evident. The two were also colour-coordinated, with Govinda wearing a white kurta-pajama and Sunita in her traditional white and red outfit, balanced by her offbeat red glasses.

Sunita Ahuja Sets the Record Straight

Though Govinda has refused to speak on the divorce rumors, Sunita Ahuja made a statement amidst the celebrations. In a forthright and flippant remark, she ruled out all rumors of separation. “Aaj media ke muh pe thappad nahi padi hai kya? Humko saath me dekh kar,” she quipped with a smile, further saying that if things were really bad, they would not have been seen together.

She asserted that no one could come between them. “Chahe upar se koi bhi aa jaye. Mera Govinda sirf mera hi hai aur kisi ka nahi hai,” she stated, underlining their strong attachment.

There were earlier reports stating that Sunita had made serious accusations against Govinda at the time of a supposed divorce filing. However, now those reports have turned out to be baseless. The couple’s show of oneness during the Ganpati celebrations has effectively put paid to all rumors. For the time being, it’s clear that Govinda and Sunita Ahuja are still a happy and loving couple, and very much together even after almost four decades of matrimony.

Bappa’s Favourite Tunes: Top 10 Bollywood Songs To Play During Ganesh Chaturthi! | Glamsham.com

Bollywood has been celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi for years, not only as a religious occasion but as a dynamic cultural event. In song and dance, the filmmakers have encapsulated the spirit of Maharashtra’s favorite festival, worshipping Lord Ganesha in memorable sequences that are woven together by devotion, drama, and rhythm. The songs have become an integral part of the festival, repeatedly played in homes, pandals, and street celebrations every year.

Timeless Aartis and Emotional Anthems

Another favorite piece is “Shendoor Lal Chadhayo” from Vaastav (1999), which was sung devoutedly by Ravindra Sathe. With its true-blue Maharashtrian background and a pious tone, the song is now a regular at Ganesh aartis in millions of homes.

Another emotional track is “Ganpati Apne Gaon Chale” from Agneepath (1990), showcasing the visarjan (immersion) of Ganpati idol. The song conveys the bittersweet sentiment of saying goodbye to Bappa dancing to the rhythm of dhol and taasha.

Ajay–Atul’s “Deva Shree Ganesha” from the 2012 Agneepath remake echoes in pandals till date. Sung by Ajay Gogavale, it’s an assertive and devotional anthem that inspires devotees of all ages.

Dance, Devotion, and Drama

Contemporary Bollywood also blends devotion with energetic dance. “Gajanana” from Bajirao Mastani (2015), rendered by Sukhwinder Singh, taps into the visceral power of age-old dhols and Maratha bravery, while “Mourya Re” from Don (2006) introduces Shah Rukh Khan to the street carnival mayhem of Mumbai streets.

Other high-energy performances include “Sadda Dil Vi Tu” from ABCD (2013) and “Hey Ganaraya” from ABCD 2 (2015), with dancers employing their craft to convey piety.

“Suno Ganpati Bappa Morya” from Judwaa 2 (2017), featuring Varun Dhawan, gives a cheerful, youthful edge to Ganpati festivities.

Tradition Meets Cinema

Even in action-oriented or politically sensitive movies such as Sarkar 3 (2017), Amitabh Bachchan’s “Ganpati Aarti” is a moment of pause and sanctity.

Likewise, Tiger Shroff’s “Jai Ganesha” in Ganpath (2023) blends energetic dance with religious passion, representing the changing face of devotion on-screen.

A Sacred Bond Through Song

From the emotional to the electrifying, these songs underline Bollywood’s unique ability to preserve and elevate Ganesh Chaturthi. They reflect not only the religious essence of the festival but also its role in uniting communities through music, dance, and shared tradition.

Ganesh Chaturthi 2025: Fashion tips to be ready for puja and pandal-hopping | Fashion Trends

by jummy84 August 28, 2025

Ganesh Chaturthi is the perfect time to show off your festive fashion game. With homes decorated with colourful rangolis and streets glowing with lights, your outfit deserves just as much attention. After all, if you’re welcoming Bappa at home, attending a pooja, or hopping pandals, your style should strike the balance between tradition, comfort, and Insta-worthy glamour.

Ganesh Chaturthi 2025: Fashion tips to be ready for puja and pandal-hopping(Pexels)

Today’s Ganesh Chaturthi fashion is about comfort laced with tradition, sprinkled with modern touches. Think easy silhouettes, breathable fabrics, jewellery that adds just the right sparkle, and styling tricks that keep you festive-ready from aarti to evening celebrations.

Here are eight fashion tips to make sure you’re pooja-perfect this Ganesh Chaturthi:

1. Bright colours are your best friend

Ganesh Chaturthi is a celebration of positivity and new beginnings, so let your outfit reflect that. Choose bright hues like saffron, yellow, pink, and green. They’re festive, photogenic, and bring in the right energy for the occasion.

2. Go easy with fabrics

Nobody wants to sweat through a silk saree while hosting guests. Opt for breathable fabrics like cotton, linen, or light silk blends. They look festive without weighing you down, keeping you comfortable through the day.

3. Modern Sarees, Festive Twist

Don’t want to drape for hours? Go for pre-stitched sarees or ready-to-wear versions with stylish blouses. Pair them with a belt for a modern touch and easy movement during pooja rituals.

4. Kurtas for the win

For men and women alike, kurtas are the easiest way to look festive without the fuss. Women can style embroidered kurtas with palazzos or skirts, while men can pair chikankari or silk kurtas with churidars or even denim for a smart-casual vibe.

5. Jewellery that speaks festive

Think temple jewellery, jhumkas, chandbalis, or layered gold chains. But don’t overdo it, pick one statement piece (like heavy earrings or a choker) and keep the rest minimal.

6. Comfortable footwear matters

You’ll likely be on your feet a lot, be it for performing rituals or hopping pandals. Ditch the stilettos and opt for festive juttis, mojaris, or kolhapuris that complement ethnic wear while keeping you comfortable.

7. Hairstyles with a traditional touch

Fresh flowers like gajras add instant festive flair. For a lighter vibe, messy buns or braids decorated with hair accessories keep you looking chic and practical for long celebrations.

8. Let’s not forget men’s fashion

Men can skip the basic white kurta and go for bright tones, printed Nehru jackets, or draped dhotis for extra festive points. Add a brooch or pocket square to level up the look without trying too hard.

Ganesh Chaturthi fashion is all about balancing tradition with comfort. This includes breathable fabrics, festive colours, and one or two statement accessories that tie the look together. So if you’re hosting pooja at home, attending aarti, or pandal-hopping with friends, being pooja-ready doesn’t have to be complicated.

The whole country is busy celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi these days, and so is Devoleena Bhattacharjee. Saath Nibhana Saathiya fame also welcomed Ganpati Bappa at her home with pomp and show. The 10-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival began on August 27 and will continue till September 6. Many parts of the country, especially Mumbai, celebrated the auspicious occasion with grandeur, and modaks and laddoos were offered to Lord Ganesha.

Devoleena Bhattacharjee

Let us tell you that Devoleena took to her Instagram to share her family moments on Ganesh Chaturthi 2025 and shared several pictures. In one of the pictures, Lord Ganesha was seen shining in their carousel, her husband Shehnawaz Sheikh and son Joey also posed with Devoleena. During this, she wore a bright purple saree and golden jewellery, and Shehnawaz wore a white kurta-pyjama.
