Amanza Smith Lit Up Miami Art Week as the Creators Gala Delivered a Night of Art, Influence, and Luxury

by jummy84 December 10, 2025
written by jummy84

The return of Miami Art Week brought with it a surge of creative energy, and few gatherings captured its cultural pulse more vividly than the 2nd Annual Creators Gala Art Party, presented by Twenty35, Swagger Magazine, Jane Owen Public Relations and Zooz Group. On December 4, 2025, the trio of powerhouse brands once again transformed the One Ocean South residence an architectural jewel in Miami Beach’s South Pointe enclave into a haven for art, fashion, and elevated luxury.

The evening was hosted by Amanza Smith, the multifaceted television personality whose nine-season presence on Netflix’s Selling Sunset had already established her as a global figure in design and entertainment. This time, her artistic voice took center stage. Fresh off sold-out shows at MASH Gallery Los Angeles and Grove Gallery London, Smith unveiled a new art collection that showcased her evolving visual language, rich with texture, movement, and introspective expression. Her transition from model, actress, interior designer, and realtor to exhibiting artist resonated deeply during a week that celebrates creative reinvention.

Smith was joined by a dynamic lineup of creators from Zooz Group’s global influencer roster. Their presence underscored the gala’s identity as a gathering point for emerging talents and established tastemakers across entertainment, lifestyle, and media.

Throughout the night, guests experienced the sophisticated ambiance of One Ocean South, beginning with red-carpet arrivals and continuing with curated culinary offerings and elevated mixology. Signature cocktails featured selections from the William Grant & Sons portfolio Milagro Tequila, Hendrick’s Gin, Glenfiddich Scotch, Reyka Vodka, and Monkey Shoulder Whisky while Sommsation presented an artfully assembled array of wines and sparkling varietals that complemented the evening’s “Liquid Art” theme. Premium Italian lager Peroni and Peroni 0.0 added a crisp, refreshing note to the drinks program, rounding out the celebration of artisanal craftsmanship.

Music played a pivotal role as DEOCA, one of Miami’s most exciting emerging producers and DJs, curated the soundscape. Having worked alongside major talents such as J Balvin, Trippie Redd, and David Guetta, and with several Top 10 releases on Beatport’s Tech House charts, DEOCA delivered a high-energy, globally influenced set that amplified the creative spirit of the evening.

Beyond the glamour, the gala also supported a meaningful cause through its partnership with GettingAlong.com, an organization dedicated to empowering future educators and policymakers with resources that foster societal well-being, personal growth, and responsible citizenship. The collaboration added a thoughtful dimension to an event celebrated for its artistry and cultural impact.

The 2nd Annual Creators Gala once again stood out as a defining highlight of Miami Art Week—an experience where contemporary art, digital influence, and luxury living converged seamlessly. With Amanza Smith’s artistic evolution at its heart, a captivating roster of influential guests, and a carefully curated sensory journey, the evening left an indelible impression on attendees and reaffirmed the gala’s place among Miami Art Week’s most anticipated destinations.

As the city’s signature art festivities continued, the Creators Gala distinguished itself as a celebration of vision, creativity, and cultural momentum an unforgettable night where art did more than adorn the walls; it shaped the atmosphere itself.

Met Gala 2026: Everything to know about fashion’s biggest night – from the theme to the galleries to the couture

by jummy84 November 19, 2025
written by jummy84

If you’ve ever wandered through The Metropolitan Museum of Art and thought, “Why does every statue look like it could land a magazine cover?”, congratulations you’re already aligned with the 2026 Met Gala theme. Next year, fashion’s biggest night is getting even bigger, bolder, and, according to curator Andrew Bolton, a little “uncorseted.”

Met Gala 2026: Sculptures can be an inspo for Costume Art(Pexels)

Met Gala 2026 theme

Yes. Famous Vogue editor Anna Wintour said, “Who needs extra words?” and the fashion world collectively bowed.

The Exhibition: “Costume Art”- Where every gallery has a dress code

The Met’s 2026 Costume Institute exhibition is titled Costume Art, and it’s about to make one thing crystal clear: Fashion is the main narrative

According to Andrew Bolton, the genius behind the exhibition, the inspiration came from one major realisation: “The dressed body is the common thread connecting the entire museum.”

From 5,000-year-old sculptures to Renaissance paintings to contemporary portraits, clothing has always been the visual narrator, signaling power, class, mythology, belief systems, gender, identity, desire… everything.

The exhibition will span:

  • Paintings
  • Sculptures
  • Ancient artifacts
  • Historical garments
  • Contemporary couture

All of these will be shown side by side in a stunning new 12,000-square-foot permanent fashion wing. This is fashion getting its rightful place at the front of the museum, not the basement, not the annex, not “just for the summer.” Permanent. Celebrated. Central.

Why this Met Gala 2026 theme breaks tradition

This is the first Costume Institute exhibition ever with no subtitle. Initially, there was one, but Bolton removed it. And in the most on-brand fashion metaphor ever, he said: “We took it out and it was like taking off a corset.”

He described the final title as bold, intentional, and free of hierarchy: Not art vs fashion. Not fashion as art. But fashion and art as equals. “Costume Art” isn’t trying to justify itself. It’s simply stating: we’ve always belonged here.

Date: First Monday in May – May 4, 2026

As always, the most dramatic night in fashion falls on the first Monday of May.

Mark your calendars, notify your group chats, cancel all other plans.

Dress code: Wear your story, literally

Because 2026 is all about the dressed body as the protagonist, expect celebrities to interpret this theme through:

  • Draped silhouettes echoing ancient sculpture
  • Renaissance-inspired embroidery
  • Painterly prints
  • Textures mimicking tapestries and frescoes
  • Sculptural gowns and exaggerated proportions
  • Gold-leaf detailing
  • Garments referencing mythology, allegories, and classical body language

Hosts: The names are to be decided, but expect maximum star power

Expect the usual formula:

  • One mega musician
  • One blockbuster actor
  • One head-turning designer
  • And the eternal constant: Anna Wintour, the Met’s North Star in sunglasses

What to expect on the Red Carpet:

If you think the Met Gala has peaked, think again. 2026 will be:

  • The year someone arrives as a literal Greek statue
  • The year someone channels a Baroque portrait
  • The year designers push sculptural couture to the extreme
  • The year the Met steps become a runway of living art
  • The year every celebrity has to truly understand the theme

Why “Costume Art” is bigger than fashion:

This exhibition is a statement. Fashion has always been part of the way humans tell stories about ourselves and each other.

Every gallery, every era, every civilization used clothing to communicate something. And now, the Costume Institute is showcasing that truth on the grandest scale ever. Instead of ranking sculptures above garments, or paintings above robes, 2026 is about equivalency. The body, dressed and expressed, is the museum’s universal language.

The 2026 Met Gala will show us how clothing and art have been intertwined for thousands of years. From myth to modernity, the dressed body has always been center stage, and this year, it gets the spotlight it deserves. Get ready for a red carpet that fuses fashion with fine art, couture with culture, and history with high glamour.

Femme It Forward will be hosting its fourth annual Give Her FlowHERS Gala this month, Billboard can exclusively announce on Tuesday (Nov. 11).

Ciara will be honored with the Muse Award, which pays homage to a living legend whose legacy, impact and timeless music inspires past, current and future generations. Kehlani will receive the Alchemist Award, honoring a woman who turns her struggles into strength and her truth into timeless art. She is also being honored at ASCAP Women Behind the Music on Wednesday, Nov. 12. They also received two Grammy nominations when the full slate was announced last Friday (Nov. 7) for best R&B song and best R&B performance with “Folded,” Kehlani’s first Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit. Jhené Aiko will receive the Glow Getter Award, which honors women who embody wellness, self-care and purpose. Last year, Aiko launched her holistic self-care brand Jhenetics, which includes elixirs, body balms, lotions and bath soaks that aim to “nourish the spirit and cultivate balance from the inside out,” according to its website.

Mariah the Scientist will be honored with the Bloom Award, spotlighting a breakthrough artist whose growth and grace have transformed her journey into full bloom. Mariah’s “Burning Blue” lead single from her fourth studio album Hearts Sold Separately became her highest-charting hit on the Hot 100 (No. 25) this year, while Hearts Sold Separately became her highest-charting album on the Billboard 200 (No. 11). Normani will receive the Femme It Forward Award, which honors women who have made incredible inroads within their industries and communities through impactful service and leadership. Nikki Taylor, Teyana Taylor‘s mother, will be honored with the Queens Raising Queens Award, awarded to mothers and maternal figures whose love, guidance and example empower the next generation of women to rise, thrive and lead. Teyana — who received her first Grammy nomination for best R&B album with Escape Room — accepted the Visionary Award in 2023.

Gail Mitchell, Billboard executive director of R&B and hip-hop, will be honored with the Mentor Excellence Award, which recognizes leaders who open doors and pour into the next generation through mentorship at the highest level. Sylvia Rhone, former chairwoman/CEO of Epic Records, will receive the Legacy Award, which honors visionary leaders whose groundbreaking contributions have not only shaped the entertainment industry, but built the very foundation on which future generations now stand. Rhone was the first Black industry executive and woman to chair a major record company. She was Billboard‘s Women in Music executive of the year in 2023.

“Every year, Give Her FlowHERS reminds me why this work matters. It’s about celebrating the women who show up, do the work and keep moving our culture and industry forward,” says Heather Lowery, CEO/founder of Femme It Forward, in an exclusive statement. “For me, it’s not just about honoring them, it’s about creating a space where women feel seen, supported and inspired to take up space unapologetically. This year’s honorees truly embody what it means to lead with purpose, create from the heart and pour into others while they rise.”

The 2025 Give Her FlowHERS Gala will return to the Beverly Hilton on Friday, Nov. 21. This year’s theme, “Same Root. New Flower,” celebrates the beauty of evolution, the shared roots that connect us all as woman and endless ways we continue to bloom. The gala serves as a fundraiser for Next Gem Femme, Femme It Forward’s mentorship program that’s designed to improve equity and accelerate career opportunities for women in music and entertainment. The mentorship program and gala reflect Femme It Forward’s deep commitment to cultivating a thriving ecosystem of women supporting women, rooted in community, creativity and purpose.

Was the Baby2Baby Gala the Biggest (and Glitziest) Fundraising Event of the Year?

by jummy84 November 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Also in attendance were Alicia Keys, Anna Kendrick, Tyexpler Perry, Paris Hilton, and Ayesha Curry, as well as a pregnant and glowing Sofia Richie Grainge. “Being a mother has really opened my eyes, not only to the support that babies around the world need, but also the support that mothers need. So I love to be involved,” she told Vogue. “I had a really hard postpartum experience, and I have access to everything, so that just made me think about those that don’t. Baby2Baby is something that I wholeheartedly support and want to be there for in any way that I can.”

The evening continued with a video montage showcasing Baby2Baby’s efforts to support families affected by the devastating Los Angeles fires—a moment that left many teary-eyed at their tables. This year, Serena Williams was also being honored with the Giving Tree Award during the program. “When I had my daughter, Olivia, and faced life threatening complications, I had access, and I had privilege, but I wasn’t listened to,” Williams said. “I wasn’t believed, and I came painfully close to losing everything. Mothers face these dangers every single day, often in silence and unfortunately, often unseen. Too many are ignored when they voice their fears. Too many are left without care, dignity, or the support that they deserve. That’s why Baby2Baby’s maternal health efforts, in addition to what they do for babies, are so particularly personal to me.”

Rounding out a memorable celebration for the nonprofit, Baby2Baby’s co-CEOs Kelly Sawyer Patricof and Norah Weinstein enlisted Ludacris for an after party performance to keep the energy going late into the night. At the front of the crowd, Lizzo and Missy Elliot ensured the energy was high, as others took a dance floor break and recharged with Jon & Vinny’s pizza slices.

The Best Dressed Stars From the 2025 LACMA Art + Film Gala

by jummy84 November 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Tonight, the 2025 LACMA Art + Film Gala was held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in California. The annual fundraising affair, presented by Gucci, benefits the historic museum, and brought together notable figures across the fashion, art, film, and music worlds. Naturally, A-list attendees leaned into old Hollywood glamour—in ways that also felt fresh and contemporary.

Compared to events like the Golden Globes and Oscars, the LACMA Gala is not as high-pressure; stars tend to take more risks and have more fun on the carpet. Take the mom-daughter duo Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford, who shut down the step and repeat in complementary sequined gowns (bright red for Gerber, and classic gold for Crawford). Italian model Vittoria Ceretti, meanwhile, shined in a plunging golden gown.

As for some of the most stylish men of the evening, Troye Sivan delivered a cool take on suiting with his baggy, oversized two-piece and chunky boots; Damson Idris went clean and sharp in a double-breasted suit, and Charlie Hunnam forwent a jacket in favor of a velvety unbuttoned shirt.

Every Red Carpet Look From the 2025 LACMA Art + Film Gala

by jummy84 November 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Red carpet fashion enthusiasts, rejoice! Tonight in Los Angeles, the LACMA Art + Film Gala returned for another evening of style, star power, and awards, all in the name of philanthropy.

Inaugurated in 2011 as a way to raise money for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s film program—as well as educational initiatives, acquisitions, and exhibitions—the annual event is the brainchild of LACMA trustee Eva Chow, who has co-chaired each year alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. This Saturday’s gala honors artist Mary Corse and filmmaker Ryan Coogler.

Every Hollywood red carpet is bound to be fashionable, but when an event’s presenting sponsor is Gucci, as is the case with this affair, the black tie ante is ineviatbley upped. The 2022 gala saw Billie Eilish arrive in a Gucci-monogrammed robe and pajamas (eye mask included), while Jared Leto sauntered in wearing a bedazzled pink velvet suit (sans shirt) and pink hair to match. Greta Lee’s black and mint green slip dress for 2023 was an early hint that her fashion star was on the rise; and last year, Sofia Richie Grainge stuck to the quiet luxury brief in a sleek, chocolate brown Saint Laurent look.

Ahead, see every red carpet look from the 2025 LACMA Art + Film Gala.
