Us Weekly wrote that Swift looked back on Gomez’s path from heartbreak to healing, remembering instances where she’d seen Selena “crying on the floor” when her relationships fell apart. She put those sad scenes in contrast to the happiness Gomez has discovered with Benny Blanco, referring to it as “a best friend’s dream” to see such joy. Her words were an endearing sketch of two friends who have been through the ups and downs of life together.

The Daily Mail reported that Swift’s heartfelt speech had many of the guests, including Gomez, crying. She explained how their friendship has always been deeper than just a superficial friendship, labeling their bond as sisters rather than friends. Swift noted how they’ve always been there for each other even in personal and professional issues.

With a dash of humor, Swift playfully teased her own betrothal to NFL player Travis Kelce, quipping that Gomez had “beaten her to the altar.” She went on to commend Benny Blanco, referring to him as “the most perfect person” for Selena and adding, “It isn’t luck that they found each other, it’s love.”

EXCLUSIVE: Shashank Khaitan CONFIRMS Friendship Comedy Film With Luv Ranjan, Starring Kunal Vaid; Says, “We Are Launching 6 Newcomers”

Filmmaker Shashank Khaitan is celebrated for his romantic dramas and youthful storytelling. He has confirmed that he is teaming up with director-producer Luv Ranjan for an upcoming friendship-based comedy film. The film will be directed by Anuj, who has previously worked as an associate with Khaitan on several of his past movies.

Sharing some deets about the big project, he revealed to Bollywood Bubble, “Yes, Luv Ranjana and I are producing together. Anuj Saini was my associate on multiple films. He’s the director of the film, so that film’s being produced by Luv Ranjan and Mentor Disciple Films, which is my company.”

Shashank revealed that Kunal Vaid, who is Luv’s brother-in-law, will be playing one of the lead roles. Alongside him, the film will introduce six newcomers to the industry. He further added, “His brother-in-law, Kunal Vaid, is starring in the film. There are 6 other actors in the film, all are newcomers. So we are launching 6 newcomers, maybe a couple of them have done one film or something like that. So it’s a big project.”

The film promises to be a light-hearted comedy focused on friendship and youth, a genre both Luv Ranjan and Shashank Khaitan are well known for. With a fresh cast and a strong team behind the scenes, the movie is shaping up to be an exciting new addition to Bollywood’s lineup. Fans can look forward to a blend of humour, heart, and a celebration of new talent in this upcoming project.

On the work front, Shashank’s upcoming film as a director is Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, starring Varun Dhawan, Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, and Maniesh Paul, amongst a stellar cast. It is produced by Dharma Productions and Mentor Disciple Entertainment and is set for a worldwide theatrical release on Dussehra, October 2, 2025. He is also creating a Netflix series, Single Papa, starring Kunal Kemmu and Neha Dhupia.

Meanwhile, Luv Ranjan’s next as a writer is De De Pyaar De 2, starring Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, Rakul Preet Singh and Jimmy Sheirgill. The romantic comedy film was directed by Anshul Sharma and produced by T-Series Films and Luv Films. It is a sequel to De De Pyaar De, which was released in 2019.

Recently, Farah Khan made multiple public jabs — albeit light-hearted — seemingly aimed at Deepika’s alleged preference for 8-hour workdays. In a YouTube vlog with actress Radhikka Madan, Farah joked about how long work hours create true stars, indirectly questioning actors who insist on shorter shifts.

The comments didn’t stop there. During another vlog appearance at actor Rohit Saraf’s home, Farah cheekily mentioned that even Deepika Padukone didn’t take as long to say yes to her film. When her cook Dilip asked when Deepika would appear on their show, Farah quipped, “She only works 8 hours now, she has no time,” adding, “She’ll come the day you go to your village.”

Interestingly, Farah has also unfollowed Ranveer Singh, though the actor still follows her.

This comes at a time when Deepika has made headlines for reportedly being dropped from major projects, including Kalki 2 and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit. Reports claim her exit was due to her alleged work-hour restrictions, high salary demands, and requests for profit sharing — terms that reportedly didn’t sit well with the filmmakers.

Prince William and Kate Middleton made an unannounced trip to Southport, near Liverpool, today, September 23, to visit the classmates of the three young children murdered last year in the horrific knife attack at a Taylor Swift-themed dance and yoga class. The reason for the visit may have been somber, but from the pictures it looks like it was a comforting occasion rather than a solely mournful one.

The pair met with children, teachers, and administrators from the Farnborough Road Infant and Junior School, and also visited a playground that opened last week in memory of the three victims, per Hello! The new playground “includes a stage, libraries, play areas and quiet spaces designed to bring comfort, hope, and healing,” the Waleses wrote online.

They also met privately with the parents of one of the victims, Elsie Dot Stancombe. The couple had previously visited the area in October 2024 to meet with bereaved family members and the first responders who dealt with the emergency, which occurred in July 2024.

When asked if friendships and animosity from the show are carried forward after the show, Sufi said, “Honestly, I think the thing is it doesn’t really stay in real life, because when the show comes out it just refreshes all your wounds and you feel triggered again. I remember when we shot Traitors, we filmed it a year in advance, and then it came out a year later. That entire year we were all feeling a certain type of way, and then when the show finally released, everybody was edited differently. “

He further added, “Some parts people were happy about, some they weren’t, and the social narrative was pretty strong for everything. But that’s just how it is, and you can’t escape that. You just have to work on your mental health and take it as it comes.”

Talking about public controversy that was blown out of proportion, Sufi reacted, “With reality fellow contestants, if they want to start something on the internet, no matter what you do, you can’t stop it. I’ve tried — I’ve apologized behind the scenes, I’ve said let’s not create a public controversy, let’s not have beef — but people who want to do it publicly will always do it publicly. So you just have to spot the real people from the fake ones and move on in life.”

Recently, Homebound was screened at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), where it received a standing ovation. The film was also the second runner-up in the 2025 International People’s Choice Award category at the festival.

Homebound is directed by Neeraj Ghaywan. It stars Janhvi, Ishaan, and Vishal in lead roles. It will be shown in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes. The film is gaining international attention, especially because legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese is the executive producer. In our time, I have worked with Dilip sahab as well, I have worked with Sanjeev Kumar as well, I have worked with Shammi uncle as well. There was no insecurity, I just got to learn it.’
