Bravo is celebrating 20 years of The Real Housewives franchise with The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip, a series that will bring together legacy, current, and the next era Housewives.

Andy Cohen announced the new series during his “Ask Andy” panel at BravoCon in Las Vegas.

The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip (WT) commemorates two decades of unforgettable moments, connection, and legacy, while ushering in the next era of Housewives. The series will debut on Bravo in 2026, with episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock.

“For two decades, ‘The Real Housewives’ has amplified women’s voices, spotlighted their ambition, humor, and strength, inspiring millions with their unapologetic authenticity,” said Frances Berwick, Chairman of Bravo and Peacock Unscripted. “The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip is a love letter to the women who turned a reality television show into a cultural phenomenon — and the fans who’ve been there for every laugh, gasp, toast, and table turn.”

Badlands’ Opening to $39M Franchise Record

by jummy84 November 9, 2025
written by jummy84

SATURDAY PM UPDATE: Dan Trachtenberg’s Predator: Badlands is now opening to $39M+ — a record domestic debut for the 20th Century Studios’ 38-year-old Predator franchise.

This comes after a great hold on Saturday of $14M, a mere -10% dip from Friday/previews of $15.6M. Predator: Badlands outstrips the previous series record held by Alien vs. Predator ($38.2M) which was a mid-August 2004 theatrical release. Here’s something we haven’t seen in a while at the box office (arguably going back to Conjuring: Last Rites and Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle in September)– a tentpole with an opening that grows throughout the weekend, while besting its tracking forecast. After a torturous October, finally some optimism at the box office.

In addition, the Trachtenberg, Ben Rosenblatt and John Davis production ranks as the second-best domestic opening ever for actress Elle Fanning after 2014’s Maleficent ($69.4M) and ahead of 2019’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil ($36.9M).

We’ll have more updates in the morning.

SATURDAY AM UPDATE: 20th Century Studios’ Predator: Badlands is looking good, knock on wood, coursing to a near-record opening for the franchise, around $37M, after a $15.6M Friday/previews. It also has the best CinemaScore a Predator movie has ever seen with A-. As we told you, the previous highs for a Predator movie were the original 1987 installment and 1990 sequel, both of which earned a earned B+. That audience score is further boosted by the Screen Engine/Comscore PostTrak “definite recommend” of 78% and five stars — which is platinum for any movie.

It’s clear that audiences are enjoying this version of Predator from director-producer-writer Dan Trachtenberg and producers Ben Rosenblatt and John Davis, hence the higher-than-expected ticket sales, which were expected to be around the $25M range. The movie’s momentum is in a better position than Disney’s early-October attempted tentpole Tron: Ares, thanks to word of mouth. At the end of the day, no matter how much stunting a studio does in a highly competitive social media-streaming landscape, the movie ultimately sells itself, meaning audiences discover it upon viewing and spread the gospel from there. Both Tron: Ares and Predator: Badlands dazzled Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con with equally memorable stunts; the lead character of the latter, Dek, stepped onstage to scan the audience with his eye vision.

Switching ratings, i.e. from R to PG-13, hasn’t dented the appeal for the alien-killer movie, this particular installment casting the series villain as the protag. That’s the hook as far as distinguishing itself from previous Predator movies. Rather than just a one-sheet with the fleshy, toothy-faced guy in a profile shot, Badlands one-sheets went hardcore sci-fi with epic shots of him battling creatures, etc. The problem with the static opening between 2018’s The Predator and 2010’s Predators opening to around the same number of $25M stemmed from the campaigns being quite similar and not selling anything fresh. There was no one-up.

RELATED: The Movies That Have Made More Than $1 Billion At The Global Box Office

What’s interesting, though, is that going to PG-13 might not necessarily have brought in a younger audience: Badlands only pulled in 5% for the 13-17 demo. Compared to 2018’s The Predator, it shows that older males still come out for the IP (57% to 45%), as well as older females (about the same between both installments at 22%). However, men under 25 shrunk between The Predator and Badlands (from 21% share to 16%) in addition to women under 25 (11% to 5%). Diversity demos are 44% Caucasian, 26% Latino and Hispanic (bigger than The Predator‘s 23%), 15% Black and 8% Asian American.

Predator: Badlands has nearly all the Imax and premium large-format screens, which are driving 53% of the weekend. The pic is playing best in the South Central and West regions, with the latter seeing 43% of the gross coming from there vs. a norm of 38% for all other titles in the marketplace. The AMC Burbank is Badlands’ best theater in the country with over $59K to date.

With a social media universe of 244M across TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and X, Badlands reach is very similar to the reach of last year’s Alien: Romulus before opening, that being 246M. Elle Fanning is promoting to her 6.7M fans.

Social media data corp RelishMix remarks, “Convo runs positive for Predator: Badlands as fans are lit up at the idea of expanding the Yautja universe beyond Earth, praising its young-blood narrative and connections to Prey and Predators (2010). Enthusiasts loved the lore depth and ‘proving hunt’ concept, calling it ‘refreshing’ and ‘bad ass.’ Comments like ‘Looks fantastic — reminds me when people clowned on Prey and it was awesome,’ and ‘Teenage Yautja with something to prove? Sign me up,’ highlight genuine anticipation. Others noted the Monsterverse-style shift toward creature-led storytelling, celebrating it as ‘finally giving us the Predator story we’ve been waiting for.’

As far as the new upscale adult films, oy, nothing is mind-blowing gross wise. See below.

  1. Predator: Badlands (Dis) 3,725 theaters, Fri $15.6M, 3-day $37M/Wk 1

2. Regretting You (Par) 3,196 (-229) theaters, Fri $2.2M (+80%), 3-day $7.3M (-7%), Total $38.7M/Wk 3
The Constantin $30M production brought into Paramount by former Global Marketing and Distribution Boss Marc Weinstock is bound for $100M worldwide. Phenomenal hold here.

3. Black Phone 2 (Uni) 2,943 (-362) theaters, Fri $1.5M (-38%), 3-day $5.2M (-38%), Total $70M/Wk 4

4. Sarah’s Oil (AMZ) 2,410, Fri $1.7M 3-day $4.4M/Wk 1
The best of the adult bunch. Who knew? No surprise when you realize that it’s a Kingdom Story production (their fanbase knows about these faith-based films). A+ CinemaScore which is where faith-based audience scores live. Nothing shocking here: over 55 is 48% of the audience, 66% women. The Zachary Levi movie is playing where these pics play best in the South, South Central and Midwest with 63% of the gross coming from there compared to a norm of 44% for all other titles in the marketplace. The Southlake Pavilion in Atlanta is the movie’s top grossing location with just over $5K.

Rami Malek in ‘Nuremberg’

Sony Pictures Classics

5. Nuremberg (SPC) 1,802 theaters, Fri $1.4M 3 day $3.8M/Wk 1
No CinemaScore, but great PostTrak exits of 5 stars, 76% definite recommend, and 93% positive to overshadow those middling reviews of 69% fresh. The over 55 crowd was prominent at 51% (they gave it an amazing 88% definite recommend), over 45 at 67%, and male leaning at 57% for the WWII drama. Pic is playing on the coasts with 48% of the gross coming from there versus 43% of all films in the marketplace. AMC Grove in LA is the top grossing multiplex with just over $13K. Caucasian 75%, Latino and Hispanic at 10%, 6% Black and 5% Asian American.

6. Bugonia (Foc) 2,043 theaters, Fri $1M (-43%), 3-day $3.7M (-26%), Total $12.5M/Wk 3

7. Chainsaw Man (Sony) 2,285 (-718) theaters, Fri $900K (-31%), 3-day $3.6M (-42%), total $38M/Wk 3

'Die My Love' distribution deal Mubi

‘Die My Love’

Kimberly French

8. Die My Love (Mubi) 1,983 theaters, Fri $1M, 3-day $2.7M/Wk 1
A huge chasm between critics at 78% on Rotten Tomatoes and audiences who dismissed this Jennifer Lawrence-Robert Pattinson melodrama about a woman’s depression from Lynne Ramsay with a D+. Remember Lawrence’s other big swing from Darren Aronofsky, Mother! got an F back in 2017. Despite the great acting in Die My Love, this is a tough movie about a very sad situation; that’s hard if you want to lasso people off their couches. Can’t write this enough: Mubi paid $24M for domestic and multiple foreign rights on the movie (versus $12.5M they shelled out for The Substance; that hipster horror pic opened to $3.2M and did a 5.5x multiple with a final domestic of $17.5M). A 29% definite recommend on PostTrak is the kiss of death. Male leaning at 51%., 25-34 being the biggest show at 44% with 18-34 at 78%. Diversity demos are 60% Caucasian, 22% Latino and Hispanic, 9% Black, and 6% Asian American. Coastal play, which is what these upscale adult movies do, with 50% coming from the East and West. AMC Lincoln Square in NYC is the top grossing location with $12k.

9. Springsteen…(20th) 2,200 (-1260) theaters, Fri $637K (-24%) 3-day $2.2M (-39%)/Total $20.4M/Wk 3

10. Tron: Ares (Dis) 1,970 (-605) theaters, Fri $477K (-21%), 3-day $1.9M (-37%), Total $71.3M/Wk 5

Sydney Sweeney on the set of 'Christy'

Sydney Sweeney on the set of ‘Christy’

TIFF

11. Christy (Black) 2,184 theaters, Fri $600K, 3-day $1.25M/Wk 1
The biopic about female boxer Christy Martin, Black Bear finance’s foray into domestic theatrical distribution, gets a B+ CinemaScore better than A24’s MMA movie Smashing Machine which landed an B-. PostTraks are better with a solid 84% positive and a 59% definite recommend. Maybe this builds more momentum today off that and breaks into the top 10. Sydney Sweeney championed the movie all the way through including appearances last night at the AMC Century City with director David Michod. Black Bear put this theatrical release together quite quickly, taking their own movie off the table from domestic buyers and positioning it for an asap theatrical release post its TIFF world premiere. The town says we need more theatrical distributors in an environment where major studios like Paramount and Warner Bros could potentially collapse into each other. Let’s see where Black Bear winds up in the long run. It took a while for A24 to build-up its brand; Bling Ring with Emma Watson was one of its early releases and only grossed $5.8M before we got to the Hereditary, Uncut Gems, Everything Everywhere All at Once, etc.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON UPDATE: 20th Century Studios’ Predator: Badlands is creeping toward the second-best Friday start ever for the franchise at $14M, which would get the Dan Trachtenberg-directed movie to the second-best opening ever for a Predator movie at $33M. The John Davis-produced feature is booked at 3,725 theaters.

The best Friday and opening for a Predator movie belongs to 2004’s Alien v. Predator with $16.4M and $38.2M, respectively. Friday ticket sales of $14M includes the combined previews from Wednesday and Thursday of $4.8M.

Some might say, “Oh, well, this looks like Tron: Ares,” given how that movie a month ago posted a $14.4M Friday and a $33.2M start. But Predator: Badlands has some of the best reviews and audience scores for its franchise, plus it cost 52% less than the $220M pricetag of the Jared Leto movie.

Second place goes to Paramount’s Colleen Hoover adaptation Regretting You with a third Friday of $1.9M and third weekend of $6.5M, -17%, at 3,196 theaters for a running total by Sunday of $37.9M.

At 2,943 theaters, it’s the fourth frame of Universal/Blumhouse’s The Black Phone 2 with $4.2M, -50%, after a $1.2M Friday and running cume through Sunday of $69M.

Fourth is Amazon MGM Studios/Kingdom Story/Wonder Project’s Sarah’s Oil is the best of the original adult bunch with $1.6M today, and $4.1M for the weekend at 2,410 theaters.

Focus Features’ third weekend (second wide) of Yorgos Lanthimos’ Bugonia is looking at $1.1M today at 2,043 theaters, $3.7M for the frame, -26%, for a total by EOD Sunday of $12.5M.

Sony Pictures Classics’ Nuremberg starring Russell Crowe, Rami Malek, Michael Shannon, John Slattery and more is seeing $1.4M today for a $3.5M opening at 1,802 theaters.

FRIDAY AM: The Dan Trachtenberg-directed Predator: Badlands speared $4.8 million in previews, which includes both Wednesday fan and Thursday night shows.

The preview number is less than that of another sci-fi genre title, Alien: Romulus‘ $6.5M, which also was a franchise reboot for the revived 20th Century Studios under new owner Disney. That Fede Alvarez-directed revival went on to open to $42M stateside. But keep in mind that movie was R-rated and had a mid-August release in 2024. Also, Predator: Badlands, with its female-action-hero sensibility, also is getting comped by Disney sources to Ballerina, which did $3.8M in previews before a $24.5M opening in June. Badlands previews are also ahead of 2017’s Blade Runner 2049, which did $3.5M before a $12.5M Friday, and 3-day of $32.7M.

Also good news for Badlands at this point in time: Total previews here are ahead of The Predator, which did $2.5M in Thursday previews back in September 2018. That pic posted a $10.3M Friday on its way to a $24.6M start.

The 2004 crossover title Alien vs. Predator owns the franchise-record opening at the domestic B.O. with $38.2M. 2010’s Predators from director Nimród Antal and produced by Robert Rodriguez follows as the second-best U.S./Canada opening for the series at $24.7M. The forecast going into the weekend for Badlands was $25M+, hopefully the second-best start in the Predator franchise.

1987’s Predator and 1990’s Predator 2 own the best CinemaScores for the series conceived by Jim and John Thomas with a B+.

Predator: Badlands cost $105M net before marketing, shot in New Zealand with tax credits. Trachtenberg breathed new life into the Predator movies in August 2022 with the direct-to-Hulu Prey, which was the streamer’s most-watched premiere ever at the time. Critics believed the movie should have been booked in theaters, hence, here we are with Badlands.

On the Rotten Tomatoes audience scale, Badlands is the fan favorite of the franchise with 96%, ahead of the original 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie at 87%. Prey remains the most critically acclaimed in the alien series at 94%.

PREVIOUSLY: Amazon MGM Studios release of Kingdom Story’s Sarah’s Oil posted $460K in previews. The
Cyrus Nowrasteh-directed faith-based movie starring Zachary Levi, Sonequa Martin-Green and Garrett Dillahunt follows the true story of 11-year old Sarah Rector, an African American girl born in Oklahoma Indian Territory in the early 1900s who believes there is oil beneath the barren land she’s allotted and whose faith is proven right. No RT or audience scores.

Black Bear Finance’s first domestic theatrical release under its new arm, Christy, starring Sydney Sweeney as boxer Christy Martin, posted $400K in previews last night. RT reviews stand at 67% fresh. The pic is going wide in north of 2,000.

Sony Pictures Classics and Walden Media’s WWII drama Nuremberg, booked at 1,700 theaters this weekend, started off with $210K last night in previews. The movie directed and co-written by James Vanderbilt stands at 71% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes from 76 reviews.

Mubi’s $24 million global acquisition Die My Love starring Robert Pattinson and Jennifer Lawrence is opening wide this weekend as well.

Top 5 for the week; note that Netflix’s Kpop Demon Hunters, which made $5.9M over the weekend, didn’t play the weekdays, we’re told.

  1. Regretting You (Par) 3,425 theaters, Wk $12M (-38%) Total $31.4M/Wk 2

Review: ‘Predator: Badlands’ is a Bold Refresh of This Sci-Fi Franchise

by Alex Billington
November 7, 2025

“I am prey to none!” The latest entry in the Predator science fiction franchise is hitting theaters – where it belongs – and is ready to rock audiences with something completely new and unexpected. And that’s a good thing. Predator: Badlands is the third Predator film made by acclaimed filmmaker Dan Trachtenberg, who kicked off his exceptional sci-fi career with the sneaky sci-fi film 10 Cloverfield Lane in 2016. He made Prey back in 2022 which completely reinvigorated the Predator franchise. Earlier this year, Trachtenberg and co-director Joshua Wassung gave us the animated anthology Predator: Killer of Killers. Which makes Badlands officially the 9th movie in the Predator franchise (including the two Alien vs. Predator crossover movies in the early 00s) since it began in 1987 with the Arnold Schwarzenegger classic. This is exactly why it’s refreshing, and honestly quite exciting, to see Trachtenberg try something completely new and take this series in a whole new direction. It’s the first time we ever follow the Predator as the main character, telling the story from his POV instead of a human or something else. As much as it might be overused, sometimes “awesome” really is the right word to describe a very good movie – and this sci-fi action movie is awesome.

Predator: Badlands is a Dan Trachtenberg creation in every sense – he has been working closely with 20th Century Studios to develop this ever since Prey a few years ago. The screenplay is written by Patrick Aison; from a story by Trachtenberg & Aison. It’s also produced and directed by Trachtenberg. There are no human characters in this movie, which not only offers them a sneaky chance to make this a PG-13 movie instead of R (there’s no red human blood spilled, it’s all creatures or robots). But it’s also by design because this time they’re following the story of a young Predator warrior, called a “Yautja” – who goes by the name Dek, who ends up crash landing on a far away planet angry at his father’s desire to get rid of him because he’s the runt of the family. So he goes there to prove himself and kill the unkillable Kalisk alpha predator creature. What’s awesome about Badlands is the intense pace, starting with action, continuing with action, moving right into more action. There are a few nice moments of calm and respite, but Trachtenberg knows these Yautja well and isn’t messing around. They’re warriors. It’s this pacing that works wonders because it keeps this movie exciting from start to finish – even if it changes course part of the way through. Even if it’s not what some die-hard Predator fans want to see, it still has this angry, vicious drive within it to keep things moving along.

At the Cannes Film Festival premiere of Sentimental Value (one of my faves from 2025), Norwegian director Joachim Trier proudly proclaimed that “Tenderness is the new punk.” In defiance of many nasty, dark, aggressive stories these days, making movies about empathy and goodness and love is a rebellious act. The same can be said for Predator: Badlands – which is not at all what I was expecting to write about it when I went into my screening earlier this week. I admire that Trachtenberg has done and the choices he has made, telling this story in this way and showing us that a brutal, violent warrior like Dek actually can be tender and does have a heart and is affected by emotions and does care for others. Even if he is a killing machine. The real ambitious and entirely unique character in this is actually Thia, the damaged synthetic android played by Elle Fanning. Yes it’s a not-so-subtle crossover with the Alien universe as she is an android created by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation like Ash & Rook & David & Walter. But she’s funny and oddly playful and surprisingly empathetic and caring, and flips this whole story on its head once she meets Dek and convinces him to work together / save her (since she’s missing half her body when he finds her on the planet). Then it becomes a sort of sci-fi action buddy comedy, and, well I’ll be damned, they pull it off. It’s a blast to watch.

This balance between totally badass, all-out crazy, brutal action and a tender, heartfelt story of a wolf pack is not an easy balance to pull off. At all. Many filmmakers don’t have the chops, don’t have the tenderness within themselves, to make this work on screen for an entire movie. Trachtenberg does and it’s genuinely thrilling to sit & watch this movie be something meaningful and wholesome and still extremely violent and entertaining. He found the perfect actor in casting the very tall New Zealand actor Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi to play Dek. It’s also a bold decision to have him play this character entirely in a practical suit with a Predator mask on, speaking entirely in the Yautja language. Thia interacts with him in English, but he speaks in Yautja the entire time. Again, all of this just works, and I believe it’s because Trachtenberg is so confident in his understanding of this story and these characters, that he believes this is the right story to tell and he knows how to tell it. Thus we can sense that love for this franchise on screen, in every frame, in every part of the filmmaking. It also has more ambitious twists and turns in the third act, expanding the story above & beyond the buddy comedy, and delivering an entirely satisfying ending. The wolf pack reigns!

I’m looking forward to revisiting it again, but after my first viewing, it might just be the best Predator movie in this franchise after the 1987 original. Of course, this will be debated endlessly… Some still prefer Prey, which is unquestionably also an awesome movie. Some prefer Predator 2 where he rampages through New York City. I’m a sci-fi geek who grew up on Star Wars, so Badlands is exactly my jam. It’s hard sci-fi with clever choices throughout, taking the Yautja on an adventure where he needs to learn to be more than just a selfish warrior who only cares about kills. Of course, some may argue this is what the Predator character is & always shall be, but I disagree… Now is the time to take this character in new directions, to show us new dimensions, to offer us something new, and to remind us that being alone is not always a strength. It’s also vital to praise the badass score in Badlands, from composers Sarah Schachner (also Prey) & Benjamin Wallfisch. Right from the start, when the Yautja language chanting comes in with the dark theme, I knew we were in for one helluva good time. This movie rocks. I don’t care that it’s PG-13, I only care that it’s an entertaining, action-packed, thoughtful, entirely unique sci-fi movie and it is absolutely all of that and more.

The Mummy Franchise Rises Again! Brendan Fraser And Rachel Weisz Set To Return For Fourth Installment | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 November 6, 2025
written by jummy84

Hollywood is going to get a serious shot of nostalgia as Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are reportedly teaming up once again for the fourth installment of the franchise, The Mummy. Per Deadline, Universal Pictures is rebooting one of its most favorite action-adventure sagas, with these two talents in discussions to revisit their stellar roles of Rick O’Connell and Evelyn Carnahan respectively.

The new movie will be directed by Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who rebooted the Scream franchise, from a script written by David Coggeshall. Franchise veteran producer Sean Daniel returns to produce alongside William Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Paul Neinstein of Project X Entertainment, reuniting the creative team behind the most recent Scream reboots.

Fraser and Weisz first starred in The Mummy, directed by Stephen Sommers, and its sequel, The Mummy Returns, in 1999 and 2001. Both films were based on Universal’s classic monster legacy and grossed more than $400 million worldwide, becoming cult hits. In them, Fraser took on the role of Rick O’Connell, a dashing adventurer and ex-soldier, while Weisz portrayed Evelyn, a smart Egyptologist. Their chemistry-developing from being reluctant partners to a married couple fighting ancient Egyptian curses-was the key to the series’ success.

The franchise expanded with the 2002 spinoff The Scorpion King, starring Dwayne Johnson, and the 2008 sequel The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, which saw Fraser return without Weisz.
After his Oscar-winning comeback with The Whale, Fraser keeps the momentum going with Rental Family, which bows Nov. 21 from Searchlight Pictures. Weisz is also an Oscar winner and recently appeared in Prime Video’s Dead Ringers and Marvel’s Black Widow.

With the two stars back on board and a new creative team to take the reins, The Mummy 4 could resurrect the adventure, romance, and supernatural thrills that made the original films timeless favorites.

Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz Set to Revive The Mummy Franchise

by jummy84 November 5, 2025
written by jummy84

Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are reuniting for a fourth installment in The Mummy franchise at Universal.

Fraser starred in the first three films of the franchise, with Weisz appearing in the first two (Maria Bello replaced Weisz for the third entry).

According to Variety, the fourth movie will be directed by Radio Silence, the filmmaking team of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who broke through with the 2019 horror movie, Ready or Not, and revived the Scream franchise with Scream 5 and Scream 6 in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

The original 1999 film The Mummy was a box-office smash, grossing more than $422.5 million and launching a reliable franchise for Universal in the early 2000s. The action-adventure romp that made Fraser a star was a fun, feel-good ride strong enough to land the series on our 50 Best Action Movie Franchises of All Time list.

After stepping away from Hollywood for a variety of reasons, including an assault allegation against the former HFPA president, Fraser returned to prominence with the 2022 film, The Whale, which earned him an Academy Award for Best Actor.

Last year, it was revealed that Fraser will play Dwight D. Eisenhower in the upcoming movie, Pressure, which is based on the 72 hours leading up to D-Day.

Weisz, who starred as twins in Prime Video’s adaptation of Dead Ringers back in 2023, is set to appear in the upcoming Netflix series, Vladimir, an adaptation of the critically acclaimed, bestselling novel by Julia May Jonas.

In a landmark deal, Lionsgate has officially teamed up with Millennium Media, putting the studio in charge of two of Hollywood’s biggest action franchises: Rambo and The Expendables. Announced on November 3, the agreement gives Lionsgate the rights to develop and produce new movies and television series under The Expendables banner while taking global distribution rights for the upcoming Rambo film.

John Rambo is the title of the next chapter in the Rambo saga. The sixth film in the action series will be directed by Finnish filmmaker Jalmari Helander, best known for the gritty action thriller Sisu. In some great news, it’s now being reported that To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before alum Noah Centineo is in final negotiations to play young John Rambo, bringing the iconic character originated by Sylvester Stallone back to life.

The movie will delve deep into Rambo’s early years, which will give a whole new dimension to the legend. The production of the film would start next year in Thailand and will be co-produced by Millennium Media along with Templeton Media, from a screenplay written by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. Lionsgate is set to launch international sales on the project at AFM.

Under the terms of the new deal, Lionsgate becomes the primary studio and production partner on all future Rambo and Expendables projects, including potential spinoffs, television series, video games, and immersive experiences.

“This deal expands Lionsgate’s portfolio of genre-defining action franchises,” said Lionsgate COO Brian Goldsmith. “We’re excited to reimagine The Expendables and Rambo across film and television, beginning with John Rambo.” Millennium Media president Jonathan Yunger added, “These franchises have enduring power, and Lionsgate’s global reach and creative expertise make it the perfect partner.”

Lionsgate already distributes several Rambo and Expendables titles across major international markets, so this partnership offers a natural next step in extending both legendary franchises.

Tamera Mowry Teases Possible Return to the ‘Twitches’ Franchise

by jummy84 October 31, 2025
written by jummy84

What To Know

  • Tamera Mowry confirmed there is interest in making Twitches 3, but emphasized that several factors need to align for the project to move forward.
  • The original Twitches films starred Tia and Tamera Mowry as twin witches and became beloved Disney Channel classics.
  • Tamera suggested a potential plot for Twitches 3 could involve the sisters’ children inheriting magical powers.

It’s been 20 years since Tia and Tamera Mowry starred in the beloved Disney Channel original movie Twitches, and fans are clamoring to see the sisters reprise their roles as twin witches for a third installment.

“I mean, I would love to. I would love to,” Tamera exclusively told TV Insider of doing Twitches 3. “I think there are a lot of things that would have to align. And then, there’s so much pressure when the original was so iconic.”

Tamera’s expectations for a potential third movie are high, but for good reason. “It would break my heart if we were to do another one and it wasn’t as great as the first, and then, now, that’s what people remember.”

According to the actress, fans could see Twitches 3 come to fruition sooner rather than later. “I will say, there is interest,” Tamera teased. “That’s the cool news. We heard that. Now, it’s just making sure that everything aligns.”

Six years after wrapping their six-season run on the sitcom Sister, Sister, Tia and Tamera starred as sisters Alex and Camryn in the 2005 Disney Channel film Twitches. Inspired by the book series of the same name by H. B. Gilmour and Randi Reisfeld, Twitches follows the sisters as they discover each other — and their powers — 21 years after a dangerous force known as the Darkness nearly destroyed the magical dimension of Coventry.

Tia and Tamera reprised their roles for the 2007 sequel, Twitches Too, which saw the sisters adjust to their new lives as Coventry royalty, as well as team up to save their father, whom they previously believed to be dead.

The movies also starred Patrick Fabian as Thantos, Kristen Wilson as Miranda, Kevin Jubinville as Aron, Pat Kelly as Karsh, Jennifer Robertson as Illeana (played by Leslie Seiler in Twitches Too), Arnold Pinnock as David, Karen Holness as Emily, Jessica Greco as Lucinda, Chris Gallinger as Demitri, and Nathan Stephenson as Marcus, among others.

Tamera previously opened up about her desire to do Twitches 3 in an interview with Entertainment Tonight earlier this month. “Disney Channel, Disney+, let’s make it freaking happen. Let’s do it, so I can say, ‘Go Twitches! Go Twitches!’ and, ‘Lame, loser, whatever, moron!’”

As for a potential plot? “My sister and I would definitely have kids. We would have kids, they would have the power, and then, we would be like, ‘Oh, no! Please, no! We don’t want them to go through what we went through,’” Tamera pitched. “And then, obviously, something happens in the world, and we’re like, ‘Oh, wait. We’ve got to fight this evil. So, are you ready to reunite?’”

In an October 3 Instagram post, Tia called it a “blessing” to be a part of a “Halloween classic.” She added, “Sometimes I get so caught up in what’s ‘next’ and then I have to stop and remind myself, ‘Damn Tia, you and Tamera have done some ICONIC things.’ ❤️ Thank you for keeping Twitches alive and loved all these years 🪄✨💞.”

How Saurabh Shukla’s Judge Sunderlal Tripathi Evolves With The Franchise

Exploring The Evolution Of Judge Tripathi’s Character Through The Jolly LLB Franchise!
Here’s How Judge Tripathi’s Character Transformed In The Jolly LLB Franchise! (Photo Credit – YouTube)

When Jolly LLB was released in 2013, Judge Sunderlal Tripathi, played by the talented Saurabh Shukla, seemed like just another supporting character in a legal drama. Introduced squarely in the courtroom, he carried the weight of judicial authority with sharp wit, cynicism, and understated humor.

His mannerisms, righteousness, and ability to balance justice with practicality made him instantly memorable, even though the focus remained largely on the protagonist, Jolly. Initially, the audience saw him strictly in his professional sphere, an upright judge steering chaotic proceedings. However, as the franchise grew, Judge Tripathi’s character evolved with the recurring films Jolly LLB 2 and Jolly LLB 3.

Revisiting: Jolly LLB (2013)

In hindsight, Jolly LLB could easily be seen as Judge Tripathi’s story:

The film may carry Jolly’s name, but deep down it feels more like Judge Tripathi’s story, played by none other than Saurabh Shukla (for which he ended up getting National… pic.twitter.com/5mimi8ikj6

Jolly LLB 2 Offered A Glimpse Into Judge Tripathi’s Personal World

Akshay Kumar‘s Jolly LLB 2 (2017), the sequel to Jolly LLB, took Judge Tripathi’s arc beyond the court. While the courtroom remained his stage, the film subtly allowed the audience to view beyond the judge’s robe. This was most evident when viewers witnessed moments from his personal life in the form of his daughter’s wedding. For the first time, Judge Tripathi stepped away from the judge’s desk and was seen as a father, a family man with joys and vulnerabilities like anyone else. This crucial narrative shift helped humanize the role, adding depth to a character who could have remained one-dimensional.

Jolly LLB 3 Helped Fans View Judge Tripathi Beyond His Professional Identity

By the time Jolly LLB 3 arrived on September 19, 2025, Judge Tripathi had reached an even richer stage. His character was no longer confined to courtroom banter or fleeting glimpses of his family life. Instead, newer dimensions emerged, showing him in contexts that further fleshed out his individuality beyond the gavel and bench.

The audience now understood him as not just a dispenser of justice, or a father, but as a man navigating layers of professional duty and personal existence. Each revelation added a fresh hue to his persona, proving that even secondary characters can evolve with narrative care.

How Judge Sunderlal Tripathi’s Transformation Mirrors Real-Life Progression

Judge Tripathi’s progression across the three Jolly LLB films mirrors how people are often understood in real life. At first, we recognize them only through surface impressions, such as the stern figure in a courtroom. More profound truths reveal themselves with time, interactions, and new situations. Just like the audience gradually discovered Tripathi’s humor, compassion, and personal equations, we too uncover layers of people in phases. His journey reflects a universal truth: no one can be fully understood at once, and every story is richer when told in parts.

In Jolly LLB 3, Saurabh Shukla’s Judge Tripathi is more than just a judicial figure. He is now a character who wins over people’s hearts and is easily recognized as the soul of the franchise!

Paresh Rawal on Baburao Spin-off and Returning to The Hera Pheri Franchise

by jummy84 September 16, 2025
written by jummy84

Back in May this year, veteran actor Paresh Rawal gave a shocking news when he revealed his decision to withdraw from Hera Pheri 3, much to the surprise of both the audience and his team. This was followed by a legal notice from Akshay Kumar to Paresh, who is slated to reprise his role as Raju. However, Paresh later rejoined the project, confirming his return as the beloved Baburao Ganpatrao Apte. One might wonder if this series of events strained the actor’s relationship with Hera Pheri 3 director Priyadarshan, for which Paresh has now shared the details.

During a recent interview with News18, Paresh Rawal provided an update regarding Hera Pheri 3, saying, “It’s a work in progress. We’ll start shooting for the film in February-March next year.” Regarding the effect that his decision to exit and eventually return had on his relationship with Priyadarshan, Paresh commented, “A lot has happened but that hasn’t soured my relationship with Priyadarshan. Aise rishta kharab nahi hota hai. In fact, what has happened is that it has further solidified our equation. Through all of this, we now know each in a sharper and better way. Ghaav bhar gaya hai. Our relationship is very transparent.”

To the delight of his fans, Paresh also mentioned the potential for a spin-off film centred around his character, Babu Bhaiya. He clarified that he has not yet discussed this with the director, but if a spin-off featuring Baburao were to be created, it would require the presence of Suniel Shetty as Shyam and Akshay Kumar as Raju. Paresh further said, “I’m not a greedy actor. I’m not foolish either. I’m not someone who assumes that duniya meri wajah se chalti hai. Even if a standalone film happens someday, Shyam and Raju also need to be there.” Regardless of the confirmation, just the news of Hera Pheri 3 continuing with the original trio has kept the fans of the franchise excited.
