As the Season 34 finale approaches, Dancing with the Stars fans rooting for Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas were met with some unfortunate news

One day after announcing they would give away tickets to the live show, the pair shared an update that ABC and BBC have pulled the plug on their giveaway, but they are working on another opportunity.

“So, we have some bad news,” said Leavitt in a TikTok video. “We just got out of rehearsal, and we were both informed that we actually can’t do a giveaway for the Dancing with the Stars live show.”

Ballas noted that the decision “has come directly from ABC and BBC, and is completely out of our hands.”

Leavitt added, “It just really sucks because Mark and I just want to do something really special for you guys that have shown us so much support and love, for us and the show. We’re gonna get creative and we’re gonna think of something else to give away.”

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star and her dancing partner have impressed during their Season 34 run, most recently stomping out the competition with a combined score of 72 for Weeks 5 and 6.

Airing Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC, the Dancing with the Stars live show scheduled for Nov. 25.

Steve Martin has been forced to cancel two dates of his comedy tour after contracting Covid hours before he was due on stage.

Steve Martin has been forced to cancel two dates of his comedy tour after contracting Covid hours before he was due on stage

The comedian, 80, and his long-time collaborator Martin Short, 75, had been scheduled to perform in Virginia Beach and Richmond over the weekend as part of their The Dukes of Funnytown! tour but Steve announced the cancellations in an Instagram post.

He said online: “Dear Virginia Beach and Richmond. Sadly, I have come down with Covid. I can’t possibly do the shows that you deserve.

“So Marty and I must cancel tonight and tomorrow.

“But we will return under better circumstances.”

The post was accompanied by a photo of a dog wearing Mickey Mouse ears.

Hours later, Steve shared another image – a test strip showing a positive Covid result alongside a negative flu result – with the caption: “Hey! No flu!”

Ticket holders will receive refunds for the cancelled performances, according to promoters.

Fans sent well wishes in the comments of Steve’s posts.

One wrote: “I hope you feel better very soon, Steve. Take extra care of you.”

Another said: “Please come back when you feel better. I’ve wanted to see you in person for over 40 years.”

Steve and Martin are next due to appear in Florida on 4 October – a rescheduled date from January, when Martin himself tested positive for Covid.

The tour is expected to continue with stops in Las Vegas, Boston, Pittsburgh and Austin, before concluding in Cleveland in April 2026.

Steve and Martin attended the Emmy Awards last Sunday with their Only Murders in the Building co-star Selena Gomez.

Now in its fifth season, the Hulu series continues to release weekly episodes.

The show received seven nominations at this year’s ceremony, including an acting nod for Martin, but did not win any awards.

Since its debut, it has been nominated 56 times, winning seven trophies.

The comedy features Steve, Martin and Selena as New York neighbours Charles-Haden Savage, Oliver Putnam and Mabel Mora – all amateur sleuths drawn into a succession of grisly murder investigations.

Season five introduces new guest stars Renée Zellweger, Keegan-Michael Key, Christoph Waltz and Logan Lerman.

The first three episodes premiered on 9 September, with subsequent instalments released every Tuesday.

Trey Songz Settles $20 Million Lawsuit Alleging He Forced His Hand Under Woman’s Dress At
Miami Nightclub

#TreySongz has one less legal problem to worry about.

According to legal documents obtained by Billboard, the R&B singer has reached a confidential settlement with Jauhara Jeffries.

If you recall, Jeffries sued Songz for $20 million over allegations that he s3xually a$$aulted her at Miami’s E11Even nightclub on New Year’s Eve 2018. She claimed the “Say Aah” artist forced his hand under her dress without consent during a VIP event.

The lawsuit, which also named the club, was scheduled to go to trial in October 2025, but the case has now been dismissed following the settlement.

Toosii is making it clear he’s not the one to play with when it comes to his spot in the rap game. The ‘Favorite Song’ rapper had time this week after a viral tweet claimed Rod Wave and NBA YoungBoy were “forcing” him onto their audiences. Instead of letting the chatter slide, Toosii pulled out receipts and reminded folks who he really is.

Toosii Responds To Critics & Drops Receipts

On Wednesday, Toosii took to X (formerly Twitter) to set the record straight after a post began making its rounds online. The commenter wrote, “Can YB and Rod stop tryna force Toosii into our ears please.”

Toosii wasted no time responding. He clapped back by sharing a video of a packed crowd screaming along to his hit track, ‘Favorite Song,’ proving he’s right where he should be. In his tweet, the rapper also teased a collaboration with NBA YoungBoy that’s set to drop soon. This wouldn’t be his first major co-sign; he previously opened up for Rod Wave’s ‘Nostalgia: The Last Lap Tour’ in 2024 and is currently on the road with YoungBoy for his ‘MASA Tour.’

Social Media Reacts

NBA YoungBoy Gets Emotional On Stage In Dallas

While Toosii was addressing his critics, NBA YoungBoy had a heartfelt moment of his own on the MASA Tour. YB officially hit the stage for the first time in five years this week, kicking things off with two sold-out nights in Dallas. Following his second show, he dropped an emotional message on Instagram alongside footage of a cheering crowd.

“The first show was a statement to me, but this second show I was so overwhelmed with love I couldn’t understand. Dallas I won’t forget this night,” he captioned the post.

Jessie J forced to cancel tour dates for further breast cancer surgery

Jessie J has been forced to cancel her US tour so she can undergo further cancer treatment.

Jessie J has cancelled tour dates as she needs more breast cancer treatment

The 37-year-old singer revealed in June that she had a mastectomy amid her battle with breast cancer and has explained on social media that she now needs a second surgery.

Jessie stressed that the procedure is “nothing too serious” but “has to be done by the end of the year”, which clashes with her upcoming tour dates in both Europe and the US.

In a video uploaded to Instagram on Thursday (28.08.25), the Price Tag singer explained: “As some of you may know I just had breast cancer surgery eight weeks ago, that’s the first thing.

“The second thing is unfortunately I have to have a second surgery. Nothing too serious but it has to be done by the end of the year and unfortunately that falls right in the middle of a tour I had booked.

“So I am living in the moment, I am embracing in the moment and I am flowing with the vibes.”

Jessie revealed that her UK and European tour dates have been pushed back to April 2026 but the US shows have been cancelled due to difficulty rescheduling.

She explained: “I haven’t been able to finesse the US dates yet so unfortunately that will be cancelled but I’m spending all my time trying to find time to make the venues make sense again in a slab of time next year.

“Please bear with us for the US tour, it is something I want to do but when the time is right.

“You guys know how much I want to do all of it but I just can’t and have to be realistic.”

The Domino hitmaker is “frustrated and sad” at having to cancel the concerts but feels that it is a necessary decision for her health.

Jessie said: “I’m so sorry, I feel frustrated and sad. But also it is what it is. I need to be better, I need to be healed and this is the right decision to make so I am postponing the tour until next year.”

She continued: “I am trying to be in the moment and compartmentalise all the different things that are happening in my life and where I have to give the energy.

“But I have to heal so forgive me. I am sorry this sucks, but I know you probably knew this was coming.

“I love you all so much, I’m going to go before I cry my eyes out.”

Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia on writer Taslima Nasreen’s X post: No one forced me to perform, listeners motivate me

Padma Vibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia recently performed at Delhi’s Kamani Auditorium and writer Taslima wrote on X: He can no longer truly play. Read on

Till when should an artiste be allowed to play live on stage? In a world where sports fans often butt in pronouncing the retirement of athletes, now the discussion has shifted to deciding the stage life of classical artistes it seems.

Writer Taslima Nasreen had expressed her concern for Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia’s age during his recent live performance. (Photo: X)

What happened?

Writer-physician Taslima Nasreen recently attended the Amar Jyoti 2025 event at Delhi’s Kamani Auditorium, where legendary flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia performed live. But, witnessing how age has caught up with the senior artiste, Taslima took to X and wrote a long post sharing her sentiment: “He can no longer truly play. His hands tremble; the flute will not stay steady…”

What is the artiste’s response?

The classical artiste, in question here, has however responded to the writer’s post saying, “Hum log kisi ke force ko nahi sunte. Humara jo dil kehta hai, hum karte hain. Mai apne dil se perform karta hun, jo humari ichha karti hai. Woh prem hai, achha vyahar hai (logon ka). Log kuchh kehte hain toh woh bhi baja deta hoon. It’s not that I’m rigid and will only play one thing.”

“Giving joy to others, I enjoy more,” adds the 87-year-old, refuting any claims that he was forced to play live for an audience at such a senior age. In fact, he feels that “The listeners give me encouragement and keep me motivated. Also, what makes me feel full of life is when I listen to good music.”

What has stirred the X debate?

Taslima’s post left X users at loggerheads as several feel that the artiste was actually coerced into agreeing to perform live at such a senior age. Whereas the other side feels that besides the artiste no one else should be deciding till an artiste’s stage life. One user wrote: “Pretty shameful!!! Not sure why he agreed…” whereas another questioned Taslima’s intent commenting: “Why post the video? Surely not flattering.”

George Clooney is said to have been forced to scale back his commitments at the Venice Film Festival after falling ill on the opening day.

George Clooney is said to have been forced to scale back his commitments at the Venice Film Festival after falling ill on the opening day

The Oscar-winning actor, 64, who is starring in Noah Baumbach’s competition film Jay Kelly, ended his Wednesday (27.08.25) press junket early and did not attend a private dinner with cast, crew and Netflix executives, it has now emerged,

Insiders told The Hollywood Reporter George began to feel unwell in the afternoon and was advised to return to his accommodation to rest ahead of Thursday’s press conference and world premiere.

The actor was photographed leaving the Hotel Excelsior by boat at around 4pm.

His absence meant he missed a dinner with director Noah Baumbach, 55, and co-stars Adam Sandler, 58, and Laura Dern, also 58.

The nature of his illness has not been disclosed, but sources have stressed it was “nothing to worry about”.

Hours earlier, George had been seen arriving at the Lido with Laura, dressed in a navy suit, striped shirt and tinted sunglasses.

George’s health scare comes after he recently discussed his future plans in acting.

In March, he told CBS News programme 60 Minutes he would no longer appear in romantic comedies.

He said: “Look, I’m 63 years old. I’m not trying to compete with 25-year-old leading men. That’s not my job. I’m not doing romantic films anymore.”

He was speaking ahead of his Broadway debut in Good Night, And Good Luck, an adaptation of his 2005 Oscar-nominated film of the same name.

George plays journalist Edward R Murrow in the stage production, which recounts Murrow’s televised confrontation with Senator Joseph McCarthy during the “Second Red Scare” of the 1950s.

He said: “It’s exciting to be (on Broadway.) Let’s not kid ourselves. It’s nerve-wracking. And there’s a million reasons why it’s dumb to do.

“It’s dumb to do because you’re coming out and saying, ‘Well, let’s try to get an audience to take this ride with you back to 1954’.”

Reflecting on the relationship between government and the press, George said: “We’re seeing this idea of using government to scare or fine, or use corporations to make journalists smaller.

“Governments don’t like the freedom of the press, they never have. And that goes for whether you are a conservative or a liberal or whatever side you’re on. They don’t like the press.”

The lifelong Democrat also spoke about his decision to call on Joe Biden, 82, to step aside from the last U.S. presidential race after his debate with Donald Trump, 79.

George said: “I was raised to tell the truth. I had seen the president up close for this fundraiser, and I was surprised. And so, I feel as if there was a lot of… cowardice in my party, through all of that, and I was not proud of that, and I also believed I had to tell the truth.”
