Sherrone Moore is having a difficult month. Just hours after he was fired from the University of Michigan for allegedly having an “inappropriate relationship” with a team staff member, he was arrested and taken into police custody on December 10, 2025. His charges weren’t immediately disclosed, but he was still in custody the next morning.

Moore made headlines when the school fired him as its football coach. In a public statement, Michigan’s athletic director, Warde Manuel said, “U-M head football coach Sherrone Moore has been terminated, with cause, effective immediately. Following a university investigation, credible evidence was found that Coach Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. This conduct constitutes a clear violation of university policy, and U-M maintains zero tolerance for such behavior.”

So, why was Moore arrested? Here’s a breakdown of his legal situation and firing from Michigan.

What Did Sherrone Moore Do?

According to the University of Michigan, Moore engaged in an “inappropriate relationship with a staff member.” The school cited “credible evidence” to back its claim and did not identify the staff member in question.

Why Was Sherrone Moore Arrested?

Moore’s arrest came hours after he was fired by Michigan. He was taken into police custody at the Washtenaw County Jail in Michigan at around 8:30 p.m. ET on December 10, 2025, according to multiple outlets.

While Moore’s charges are still unclear, USA Today and CNN reported that Pittsfield Township police were investigating an “alleged assault” without naming the suspect. The incident took place just 30 minutes before the University of Michigan announced Moore’s firing.

Per a statement from the police department, an unidentified suspect was arrested amid an “ongoing” investigation.

“Given the nature of the allegations, the need to maintain the integrity of the investigation, and its current status at this time, we are prohibited from releasing additional details,” the statement from the Pittsfield Township police read, per CNN. “Further details regarding the incident will be released as soon as permissible.”

According to TMZ Sports and Fox News, 911 dispatch audio (seemingly from Moore’s alleged assault case) indicated,  “there’s a male at the location and the house attacking [a woman]” and added that the suspect had been “stalking her for months.” Moore’s name was not mentioned in the dispatch audio.

What Are the Charges Sherrone Moore Is Facing?

Moore’s charges were revealed during his arraignment on December 12, 2025. In court, he was told he was being charged with a felony — third-degree home invasion — in addition to one count of misdemeanor stalking and two counts of misdemeanor breaking and entering or entering without breaking, according to the Criminal Justice Information Center.

Moore was still booked into jail on the morning of December 11, 2025, according to multiple outlets.

Tom Bergeron was Dancing With the Stars’ original host. For 28 seasons, the television host was the face of the reality TV competition series. But that came to an end in July 2020 when Disney announced that Tom and his co-host, Erin Andrews, had been let go. Now that he’s returning to the ballroom for one night only on November 11, 2025, longtime fans are wondering why he left DWTS in the first place.

Below is everything we know about Tom’s departure from DWTS and his highly anticipated return for one season 34 episode.

Was Tom Bergeron Fired From Dancing With the Stars?

Yes, Tom was fired by Disney in 2020, he confirmed in an X post (formerly known as Twitter), at the time.

“Just informed @DancingABC will be continuing without me,” Tom tweeted. “It’s been an incredible 15-year run and the most unexpected gift of my career. I’m grateful for that and for the lifelong friendships made. That said, now what am I supposed to do with all of these glitter masks?”

Disney released a statement about Tom’s exit, citing their decision as a “new creative direction.”

“Tom Bergeron will forever be part of the Dancing with the Stars family,” the company stated. “As we embark on a new creative direction, he departs the show with our sincerest thanks and gratitude for his trademark wit and charm that helped make this show a success.”

Why Did Tom Bergeron Leave Dancing With the Stars?

Now-former DWTS executive producer Andrew Llinares said Tom was released because Disney wanted the show to “evolve” with the times.

“Any show like this that has been on for many, many seasons needs to continue to evolve,” Andrew explained in September 2020 at ABC’s fall press day, according to Entertainment Tonight. “So, I think changing that host is all about evolution.”

Tom said he knew he was being let go due to creative differences. During a September 2021 interview on the “Here For You” podcast, the ex-DWTS host said that the series was “not the show that [he] loved” by the time he had left.

“In all candor, the show that I left was not the show that I loved,” Tom said. “So, at the end of the season, that turned out to be my last season, I kind of knew. I took everything out of my dressing room that I really wanted. … It was kind of obvious that we were kind of butting heads [behind-the-scenes].”

Tom wasn’t shocked by Disney’s decision, he added. “Actually, I think Erin and I had more fun being fired than virtually anybody,” he joked during his interview.

However, Tom later revealed during an October 2023 appearance on the “Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans” podcast that he reached a boiling point with Disney when they cast former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer in season 28.

“I said, ‘Guys, this is exactly what we said we wouldn’t do. Don’t go there,’” Tom recalled telling the company, but a producer and the showrunner insisted on moving forward with Sean’s casting. So, Tom offered to take the season off, and they offered to release him from his contract.

“That’s how strongly they felt,” Tom explained.

Is Tom Bergeron Coming Back to Dancing With the Stars?

Yes, but only for one night. Tom is not stepping back into his former hosting role with DWTS; he is returning as a guest judge for the November 11, 2025, episode.

During a November 2025 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Tom said he “wouldn’t” have gone back to the series “if the previous regime was still in charge of the show.”

Dua Lipa Denies Firing Agent Over Attempt to Ban Kneecap from Glastonbury

Dua Lipa and her talent agency, William Morris Endeavor (WME), have responded to a report that she fired her European agent, David Levy, after he signed a leaked letter calling for pro-Palestinian rappers Kneecap to be banned from Glastonbury Festival.

Over the weekend, The Daily Mail reported that Levy was the first signatory among many Jewish music industry figures who sent a letter to Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis and his daughter Emily requesting Kneecap’s removal from this year’s festival.

“Dua made sure through her people that David Levy wasn’t working on her music any more. She is very openly pro-Palestine and that doesn’t align with David,” a source told the Daily Mail. “She views him as being a supporter of Israel’s war in Gaza, and the terrible treatment of the Palestinians and that was made very clear through the letter that he signed and sent to Michael Eavis.”

On Tuesday, September 23rd, Dua Lipa posted a statement on her Instagram Stories distancing herself from Levy while also clarifying the report. “I do not condone the actions of David Levy or other music executives toward an artist speaking their truth,” she wrote. “I also cannot ignore how this has been handled in the press. Not only was the story completely false, but the language used by The Daily Mail has been deliberately inflammatory, crafted purely for clickbait, clearly designed to fuel online division.”

The artist continued, “It is always Free Palestine but exploiting a global tragedy in order to sell newspapers is something I find deeply troubling.”

A spokesperson for WME also strongly rebuked the tabloid’s claims in a statement issued to NME: “Reports suggesting that Dua Lipa or her management dismissed one of our agents because of his political views are categorically false. David Levy played a role in Dua’s early career (2016-2019) and as is customary, is credited both internally and in industry journals as being a member of the team. When he moved out of London in 2019, he transitioned into an advisory role and has not been involved in Dua’s day-to-day business since. Levy fully removed himself from the project among others earlier this year.”

Dua Lipa has been open with her views about the Gaza conflict. In a 2024 interview with Rolling Stone, she called for a “humanitarian cease-fire” in Israel’s attack on the Palestinian people, adding that she “feel[s] so bad for every Israeli life lost and what happened on October 7th.”

“At the moment, what we have to look at is how many lives have been lost in Gaza, and the innocent civilians, and the lives that are just being lost,” she continued. “There are just not enough world leaders that are taking a stand and speaking up about the humanitarian crisis that’s happening, the humanitarian cease-fire that has to happen.”

Later that year, Dua Lipa reiterated her stance on Instagram after dozens of Palestinians were killed in attacks on Gaza displacement camps. “Burning children alive can never be justified,” she wrote. “The whole world is mobilising to stop the Israeli genocide. Please show your solidarity with Gaza.”

Kneecap’s Glastonbury appearance went on as planned, although their set was not livestreamed by the BBC. While the performance led to a criminal investigation, the case was dropped shortly after.

Since making pro-Palestine messaging central to their performance at Coachella 2025, Kneecap has faced a firestorm of backlash, including an investigation by UK authorities into resurfaced videos of the rap trio allegedly expressing support for Hamas and Hezbollah.

Although Kneecap issued a statement clarifying they “do not, and have never, supported Hamas or Hezbollah,” member Mo Chara was later charged with a terror offense for allegedly displaying a flag supporting Hezbollah. The case has been adjourned until later this month.

Most recently, the group was banned from Canada ahead of their scheduled October tour.

Gunshots were reported outside Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s residence in Civil Lines, Bareilly, late Thursday night, leaving the area shaken. As per police accounts, several rounds were fired around 4:30 a.m., including two aerial shots, though thankfully no injuries were reported.

 

Soon after the attack, a social media post emerged in which Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar’s gang claimed responsibility, placing the actress at the centre of a deeply unsettling incident.

Goldy Brar Gang Claims Responsibility for Firing Outside Disha Patani’s Home

The Hindi message, shared across social media, identified two men — Virendra Charan and Mahendra Saran — as those responsible for the attack. According to the note, the firing was described as a form of “punishment” directed at Disha Patani and her sister, Khushboo Patani, over alleged derogatory remarks against spiritual leaders Premanand Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya Maharaj. The statement also issued a broader warning to the film industry, cautioning that anyone who disrespects their religion or saints would face the same consequences. The post stated:

“Jai Shri Ram. Ram Ram to all brothers. I, Virendra Charan, Mahendra Saran (Delana). Brothers, today the firing that happened at Khushboo Patani/Disha Patani’s (Bollywood actress) house (Villa No. 40, Civil Lines, Bareilly, UP), we got it done. She insulted our revered saints (Premanand Ji Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya Ji Maharaj). She tried to demean our Sanatan Dharma. The insult of our deities will not be tolerated. This was just a trailer. Next time, if she or anyone else shows disrespect towards our religion, then no one in their house will be left alive.”

Police Action After Firing at Disha Patani’s Residence

Authorities confirmed that several shots were fired outside the actor’s home and stated that they are examining the authenticity of the social media post. Bareilly police officials added that they are tracking down the individuals mentioned in the message to determine whether the claim is directly connected to the incident. While Disha Patani has yet to release an official statement, her younger sister Khushboo Patani responded earlier, acknowledging the firing and describing it as “deeply disturbing.”

Unraveling the Dispute Behind the Firing at Disha Patani’s Residence

The incident is said to have stemmed from remarks made by Khushboo Patani. She had openly criticized spiritual leader Aniruddhacharya for his comments about women and live-in relationships. In his statement, Aniruddhacharya allegedly suggested that women who remain unmarried after 25 or choose live-in relationships are often of questionable character. Khushboo condemned these remarks, labeling them as misogynistic and damaging. She stated:

“He says girls who are above the age of 25 and stay in live-in relationships, woh 4 jagah mooh maar ke aati hai (they go from one person to another). If only he was around me, I would have made him understand the meaning of the words he has used against women. They are anti-national. You should never support b***** of the highest orders.”

Khusboo’s remarks were later twisted and spread online, with misleading claims alleging that they were directed at Premanand Maharaj. This false narrative seems to have sparked outrage among certain groups and is believed to have triggered the firing incident outside Disha’s residence. At present, police are investigating the origin of the social media post and working to track down those involved. Officials have also confirmed that security around Disha Patani’s home has been reinforced, assuring that the safety of her family remains a top priority.

The Neighbourhood Reunites After 2021 Hiatus, Drummer Firing

The Neighbourhood is back. On Friday, the band shared an Instagram Story post announcing that the group — including drummer Brandon Fried — reunited in November 2024 following a three-year hiatus. The members are now ready to share their “next chapter” with fans.

“In November 2021, after 10 years together, The Neighbourhood went on an indefinite hiatus,” the band wrote. “As we entered our early 30s, we were faced with life outside of the band for the first time in our adult lives. Breakups, family struggles, and personal challenges.”

The band — which originally comprised vocalist Jesse Rutherford, guitarists Zachary Abels and Jeremiah Freedman, bassist Michael Margott, and Fried — also added that the drummer will be returning to the band after he was kicked out for groping the Marías’ Maria Zardoya in late 2022.

At the time, Zardoya alleged that Fried had groped her under a table and called him a “complete creep.” The Neighbourhood acted swiftly and booted him from the band. Fried admitted to his actions and publicly apologized to Zardoya saying it was a “reflection of who I become while under the influence.” He promised to seek help.

“In November 2022, it became evident that Brandon’s struggles with substance abuse needed immediate attention, and we agreed it was best for him to step away and focus on his recovery,” the band wrote in their statement. “To those who spoke up and helped bring this to light, thank you. Your courage helped us get our friend the support he needed.”

The band added: “We are proud of Brandon, the changes he has made, and the progress he continues to make in his life. Being in each other’s lives for over 20 years, when one of us is going through something, it impacts all of us.”

The Neighbourhood also shared that the group had “reunited in the studio” in November 2024, and teased their official return. “Thank you to everyone who kept the music alive while we were away,” the band wrote. “We couldn’t feel more honored to do what we do and can’t wait to share this next chapter with you.”

The band’s last release before the hiatus was Chip Chrome & The Mono-Tones in September 2020. Since then, Rutherford released a pair of albums, 2023’s &ONE and 2024’s Jesse®.
