bitchy | Sarah Ferguson is ‘working with fixers’ & making a plan to launch a comeback

Despite the palace’s briefings that they’re treating Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson harshly, nothing could be further from the truth. Andrew will likely move into a palatial “cottage” on the Sandringham estate and enjoy a well-funded retirement in Norfolk. Sarah is being cut loose, but she’s been given two months to basically figure out her next moves. Sarah’s team has already briefed outlets on her plans to move forward independently and no longer live with her ex-husband. So what’s Sarah’s plan? The Sun claims that Fergie has hired a new team to put together a comeback plan. Which sounds like… something Sarah would absolutely do.

The former Duchess of York is plotting her comeback and is set to finally separate from ex-husband Andrew — 30 years after they divorced. Sarah Ferguson has held talks with an expensive “brand rescue team” after being stripped of her title and kicked out of Royal Lodge.

Fergie lost a string of patronages after The Sun on Sunday revealed she had emailed Jeffrey Epstein calling him a “supreme friend” and apologising for saying he was a paedophile. She was also axed from ITV daytime telly show Loose Women.

Sarah, 66, is expected to be forced to shed most of her staff and flunkeys after Andrew was finally forced out of his 30-room Windsor mansion. Sarah and Andrew married in 1986 and divorced in 1996. She moved into his Royal Lodge home in 2008.

Now, for the first time in 17 years, Fergie is set to fend for herself. Her daughters — Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie — are said to be encouraging their mum to embark on a rebrand. It is understood she is working with fixers who operate with some of the biggest brands. And Sarah has told her team of experts she wants to be a leader in the “female positivity world”. The one-time duchess wants to embark on a number of branding and commercial opportunities as a mother and philanthropist.

A source said yesterday: “Sarah has always been a grafter and a hard worker and always finds ways of making money and getting out of a hole. She has expensive tastes and massive outgoings but always found a way to make ends meet. Calls from brands may go unanswered right now but she is still Sarah Ferguson and still a big name.”

Meanwhile, a friend insisted Sarah was “taking stock” after a stressful few months and hoped to “let the dust settle” before moving on.

[From The Sun]

As we’ve discussed a lot in the past month, Sarah has made and lost several fortunes already. I have no idea where all of the money has gone – she obviously lives large and has no idea how to budget or save, but still. It’s insane that she’s a woman in her 60s and she should have a retirement nest egg worth millions, but apparently the money is all gone and she’s planning to launch another dumb comeback. This comeback will fail as well – after everything that’s happened, no one wants it, no one will pay her for anything.

bitchy | Sarah Ferguson will ‘move forward independently’ without the late queen’s corgis

The knives are really out for Sarah Ferguson, and they’ve been out for some time. While I believe that Fergie is a terrible person who (somewhat hilariously) conned $2 million out of Jeffrey Epstein, I’m also sort of uncomfortable with the fact that Fergie is, in many ways, getting worse treatment than Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. Andrew will be set up for the rest of his life in what will probably be a six-bedroom “cottage” with extensive grounds, horses, shooting parties and a lifetime “pension” courtesy of the crown. Meanwhile, Fergie is being cut adrift completely, and not only that, but the palace seems to be gleefully painting her as “demanding” a royal home and money. Well, sources close to Fergie tried to push back to People Magazine:

Sarah Ferguson is set to move into a home of her own as her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, has been told to surrender the lease to their longtime residence, Royal Lodge, following the unprecedented decision to strip him of his royal titles.

“She is going to be moving out and into a separate home,” a source who knows Ferguson tells PEOPLE.

“Contrary to reports, she has never asked for a property or any provision for herself,” the source adds. “She will continue to forge an independent life.”

A separate source close to Ferguson confirms that she will find her own place and is “going to move forward independently.”

A palace source adds that it is unlikely Ferguson will relocate to Sandringham.

PEOPLE understands that Andrew, 65, will relocate to a property on the Sandringham estate and any future accommodation will be privately funded by King Charles. Formal notice was served on Oct. 30 for him to surrender the lease, and the move is expected to take place as soon as practicable.

[From People]

Charles has apparently given Sarah and Andrew two months or more to get out of Royal Lodge, mostly because he wants them to NOT be in Norfolk for Christmas. So, Sarah does have time to figure things out, and apparently it’s going to take a while for Sarah and Andrew to move all of their crap out of RL as well. The Mail claims that “there are rooms full of [Amazon] boxes that haven’t even been opened. It will take weeks, if not months to shift all their s*** out.” The Mail also says that Sarah might finally move out of the UK: “She’s always rather lived on the hoof and aside from her children and grandchildren, there’s not a lot to keep her here. Put it this way, the invitations have dried up overnight.”

One of the craziest postscripts to this situation is about the dogs. So, in QEII’s final years, she tried to tell people that she didn’t want any more dogs. But after Prince Philip died, Andrew got his mother two corgi puppies to cheer her up. One puppy died unexpectedly, so Andrew got his mother another puppy in the final year of her life. When QEII died, Andrew and Fergie took custody of the corgis, and Fergie made a meal out of “taking care of the late queen’s dogs,” like it was the most important responsibility ever. Well, guess who’s lost custody of the dogs? The dogs, it seems, are going to Norfolk with Andrew. Buckingham Palace actually confirmed that, saying that “the corgis will remain with the family.” Bonkers.

bitchy | Mail: Sarah Ferguson ‘has nowhere to go and no one to go with’

by jummy84 October 29, 2025
written by jummy84

I’m not surprised that Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson seem willing to move into separate homes. After their divorce, they continued to reside in the same home(s) off-and-on for decades. Sarah moved into Royal Lodge a few years after Andrew took on the lease, and they reportedly live in separate wings of the mansion, but maintain some kind of close relationship/friendship. But it’s a lot, and I can totally see why Fergie and Andrew are currently negotiating separate residences for themselves. Reportedly, Andrew now wants Frogmore Cottage, while Fergie wants to move into Adelaide Cottage, both homes on the Windsor estate and both homes in the “ring of steel” security perimeter around the castle. Well, now Becky English at the Daily Mail has a sympathetic story about how Fergie is begging for mercy from King Charles:

Sarah Ferguson ‘has nowhere to go – or anyone else to go with’, friends said last night as negotiations rumble on over her and Prince Andrew’s future. The former Duchess of York is said to be ‘on the edge’ as it is claimed she and her ex-husband have demanded royal officials provide two homes at Windsor – one for each of them – if they are to move out of Royal Lodge, the mansion they have shared since 2008.

In the latest twist to the saga it has been suggested that they may finally go their separate ways – with Andrew taking Harry and Meghan’s old home Frogmore Cottage, while his ex-wife is demanding Adelaide Cottage, currently being vacated by the Prince and Princess of Wales. Sources close to the couple, who have been divorced for almost 20 years, have reacted angrily, however, to such a suggestion, insisting the offer is ‘misrepresentative of the truth’ and it has, in fact, ‘been on the table for months’.

‘It was an option put forward by the “other side” and at an early stage [in negotiations],’ they claimed. ‘Whether it is still on the table, I don’t know. But the suggestion that they have been demanding a new home each is misrepresentative of the truth. No demands have been made. People have been trying to come up with solutions.’

While Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the claims, insiders say they simply ‘do not recognise’ this version of events, however.

Now it has been claimed that Andrew and his ex-wife may finally be willing to go their separate ways, albeit in houses barely a few miles’ drive from each other. That has sparked surprise among some in royal circles who point out that the King has no legal responsibility whatsoever towards Sarah, who has, in effect, been a ‘lodger’ at her former husband’s home for almost two decades. Others, however, point out that the monarch may consider it prudent to keep Sarah ‘in the fold’, rather than her consider another tell-all book. She has already brought out a memoir in 1996, the year she divorced Andrew, and then an autobiography in 2011.

The King has also treated his former sister-in-law kindly in recent years given her personal battles after being diagnosed with both breast and skin cancers. Sources with knowledge of Sarah’s situation have described her as ‘absolutely bereft’ and ‘completely on the edge’. She is said to be hugely ’embarrassed’ by the scandal which has also come home to roost for her personally after the publication of a ‘cringeworthy’ email she wrote to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, apologising profusely for disassociating herself from him publicly following his child sex conviction in 2008.

‘She is contrite and embarrassed but also fears the scandal has fatally damaged her own business interests, including a number of new fictional books that are due to come out,’ a source said. ‘People don’t want to be associated with her any more.’ The friend added: ‘The honest truth is that she has nowhere to go and no one to go with [if Andrew loses Royal Lodge]. Her future is hanging in the balance.’ Another source added: ‘The King is a kind man but his patience has been pushed to the limit. However, the last thing he also wants is another “Spare” [the vitriolic memoir brought out by his own son, Prince Harry, in 2023].’

Five-bedroom Frogmore Cottage, although ‘lovely’, according to one who has visited it, will be considered a step down by Andrew from Royal Lodge, which has been described as ‘terribly grand’.

[From The Daily Mail]

This reads like… Buckingham Palace has completely bungled these negotiations and misread the situation at every level. It was clear that BP leaked the story about Andrew and Fergie “demanding” two homes, but I actually believe English’s York-sources who insist that these weren’t Andrew and Fergie’s demands, that they were actually offered these two homes at some point. I also think Fergie just expected to move in with Andrew again, wherever he lands next – if they ended up in Frogmore, she would have expected to take up a room there too. Which is weird, right? Fergie’s Calamity Jane act is typical – she has absolutely no backup plan, and she’s earned and lost a dozen fortunes already. She should have plenty of money to set herself up in a nice home away from all of this, but apparently she does not. She literally just sold a Belgravia townhouse at a loss – where is that money?

I also wonder why everyone involved is so insistent on “Andrew and Fergie must stay in Windsor.” Apparently, that’s what Andrew wants, but it’s such a dumb idea. It would be so much easier to hide Fergie and Andrew away in Sandringham, and there would be less outcry because Sandringham isn’t operated by the Crown Estates.

bitchy | Emails show Jeffrey Epstein ‘secretly bankrolled’ Sarah Ferguson for 15 years

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Over the summer, when royal biographer Andrew Lownie was promoting his book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, he made some interesting claims specifically about Sarah Ferguson and Jeffrey Epstein. According to Lownie’s research and sources, Epstein had given Fergie close to $2 million all told, across many years. When Fergie publicly apologized in 2011 for “borrowing $15K” from Epstein, many felt it was just the tip of the iceberg when it came to how much money she actually conned out of Epstein. Well, now that more of the Epstein files/emails are coming out, it looks like Lownie had it right. And it was probably much, much worse than Lownie knew. According to this Daily Mail exclusive, Epstein “secretly bankrolled” Fergie for 15 years. Some highlights from the Mail:

Jeffrey Epstein secretly bankrolled Sarah Ferguson for 15 years, astonishing new emails claim. The convicted paedophile complained to friends about the disgraced duchess’s scrounging ways in messages that suggest his financial support went far beyond the £15,000 she admitted taking from him.

In the previously unseen emails, Epstein reveals Fergie was so desperate to cosy up to him that ‘she was the first to celebrate’ his release from jail ‘with her two daughters in tow’. Princess Beatrice would have been 20 at the time and Eugenie 19, the same age as many of his victims.

The shocking claims are contained in a huge tranche of documents under review by the US Congress. They are set to be released once they have been redacted to protect the identity of hundreds of young girls Epstein raped and sexually abused. The sordid nature of Fergie’s relationship with the paedophile and the chummy tone of their correspondence makes sickening reading that will repulse the sex offender’s many victims.

Emails seen by The Mail on Sunday show: Fergie begged to borrow $50,000 to $100,000 to help with ‘small bills’; She asked to visit Epstein’s private island, joking whether her financial woes made it ‘unavailable to bankrupts?’; Epstein paid off debts the duchess owed a former employee but became angry when she failed to pay him back as promised; While disavowing Epstein in public, Fergie kept up contact and let him help set up a charity for her; Epstein brazenly gave Fergie ‘talking points’ before she was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey.

Tonight a well-placed source said: ‘Sarah and Prince Andrew have always maintained they distanced themselves from Epstein after his conviction for child prostitution. In fact, it was Epstein who ended up dumping them. He got sick and tired of Sarah constantly asking him for money. She borrowed far more money off him than has ever come out. In public she said one thing but in private she was always holding out the begging bowl.’

Earlier emails show how close the pair were, despite Epstein having admitted to soliciting a minor for prostitution in a ‘sweetheart deal’ that led to 13 months in a low-security jail with day release. He was let out in July 2009 and remained under house arrest until July 21, 2010. He exchanged a number of emails with Fergie in that time. In June 2010, Sarah told Epstein: ‘I will never forget your kindness and friendship at this time’ to which he replied: ‘A-team or no team. It’s your line.’

On January 16, 2010, Sarah wrote: ‘Is there any chance I could borrow 50 or 100,000 US dollars to help get through the small bills that are pushing me over? Had to ask.’ Epstein was having his bank accounts monitored at the time and said he couldn’t help. Undeterred, Sarah told him to ‘ask Giuseppe… I would be so grateful.’ Epstein replied: ‘I could but it would be impolite. You need to address these issues. You are great.’ It is thought this is a reference to New York restaurant owner Giuseppe Cipriani, an old friend of the duchess. Tonight his representative declined to say whether Mr Cipriani gave Fergie money.

A source said tonight: ‘Andrew and Sarah were in it up to their necks with Epstein. It was always about the money. This was always going to be their downfall.’

[From The Daily Mail]

Re: Fergie borrowing/taking all of that money, I’ll admit to finding it morbidly and horrifically funny in a way. Fergie was and is such an unrepentant grifter that she was conning a convicted sex trafficker out of millions, millions he “earned” through blackmailing public figures with what he knew of their criminal predilections. Fergie didn’t care about any of that – she thought she had found the golden goose, the mark of her dreams. As for connecting Beatrice and Eugenie to this, and Fergie taking her daughters to see Epstein after he got out of prison… YIKES. Holy sh-t. Whatever deal struck by Prince Andrew and King Charles, it included a hands-off approach to Bea and Eugenie – as in, Charles wouldn’t touch their titles. I wonder if we’re going to find the princesses’ names in more emails. What a mess.

“Your guilt must fall below the 92% threshold or you will be executed in precisely 90 minutes.” Lionsgate has revealed the official trailer for a sci-fi movie called Mercy, one of many upcoming artificial intelligence thrillers being made by Hollywood. This one is about an “A.I. Judge”, very similar in many ways to Minority Report but with a different spin on our tech future. Mercy (not to be confused with Just Mercy from a few years ago) is directed by sci-fi / Screenlife filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov, his latest feature directed for Hollywood since making Profile in 2018. 90 minutes to prove your innocence or face execution. Chris Pratt & Rebecca Ferguson star in this cautionary tech tale. In the near future, a detective stands on trial accused of murdering his wife. He now has 90 minutes to prove his innocence to the advanced A.I. Judge he once championed, before it determines his fate. Starring Chris Pratt, with Rebecca Ferguson as A.I. Judge Maddox, Kali Reis, Annabelle Wallis, Chris Sullivan, and Kylie Rogers. Yep it looks like a January movie! Opens in IMAX and 3D at the end of January 2026 if anyone wants to find out if he’s guilty or not?

Here’s the first official trailer (+ poster) for Timur Bekmambetov’s sci-fi movie Mercy, from YouTube:

Jesse Tyler Ferguson on Pressure He Felt With ‘Modern Family’ Gay Role

Jesse Tyler Ferguson is getting candid about the “responsibility” he felt to the LGBTQ community to “get it right” with his portrayal of gay lawyer Mitchell Pritchett in Modern Family.

The actor, who played the character for 11 seasons from 2009 to 2020, recently shared on his Dinner’s on Me podcast that he believed there was “no way to please” everyone when it came to his role on the ABC sitcom.

“I was in the trenches fighting for marriage equality, and I felt so lucky to be part of a pop culture touchstone that was also part of that same issue,” Ferguson recalled, before later admitting he also “felt a responsibility from the [LGBTQ] community when I was given a role like the one I had on Modern Family to get it right and to do it with care and precision.”

He added, “It was tricky for me because I had to tune out that noise of a community wanting me to do it correctly and preciously and, you know, my desire to do it with nuance and levels and layers and also poignancy. I just felt like there was no way to please both camps.”

Now, 15 years after first deputing Mitchell on the small screen, Ferguson said he’s finally letting go of the pressure he once felt regarding the role.

“I’m 1756148762 in a place where I’m, as an actor, being given a role where I’m attracted to the messiness of that character,” he said. “I’m attracted to their flaws. Like, that’s what makes it interesting. And, honestly, that’s what makes the audience interested in watching me.”

Ferguson added, “No one wants to see perfect people. No one wants a sitcom or a movie where it’s like everything just happens neatly. And yet, I felt like, you know, at least in the first few seasons of Modern Family, being put on a pedestal in a way as far as like, OK, this is the gay couple that’s on network television on a huge show. They better get this right.”

Modern Family follows three different, but related, families as they face trials and tribulations in their own uniquely comedic ways. As for Ferguson’s character Mitchell in the series, he and his partner Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) raised their adopted daughter Lily (Frances Anderson).
