Manoj Bajpayee Recounts How Amitabh Bachchan Nearly Gave Him Heart Attack At 85 Feet

by jummy84 November 17, 2025
written by jummy84

In a surprising confession on Kaun Banega Crorepati 17, actor Manoj Bajpayee revealed that Amitabh Bachchan once gave him a serious scare, “killed me,” in his words, while filming a stunt nearly 85 feet high. The anecdote has since sparked curiosity, laughter, and admiration for the veteran’s playful yet intense energy.

During the show, Manoj described how the stunt was supposed to be straightforward: they would be harnessed and suspended mid-air, replicating a fall. Because of his fear of heights, Manoj was already tense. The action director tried to calm him: “Close your eyes, I’ll be there, Amit ji will be holding your hand,” he recalled being told.

But once he reached around 80-85 feet, things took a turn. According to Manoj, Bachchan suddenly called out to him in a low voice: “Manoj, kuch ho jaye toh Jaya ko bol dena” — telling him to inform his wife Jaya Bachchan if anything went wrong. Hearing that, Manoj said he panicked even more. “I was already very scared,” he told Big B, according to the promo. “Aur phir aapne kaha, ‘Sach mein ghar pe mere khabar kar dena’.”

The tension in the moment was not just physical: Manoj joked that the whole sequence felt like a “planned mission” to terrify him. “The whole thing was planned — to take me up there, to prank me,” he said.

Bajpayee didn’t sugarcoat how intense the moment was. “Inhone meri jaan le li thi,” he said — “he took my life.” His raw honesty and humor won laughs from fellow guests Jaideep Ahlawat and Sharib Hashmi, but the underlying sentiment was serious.

The story is evocative of a deeper bond between the two actors, one that goes beyond admiration. For a man like Manoj, known for his grounded screen presence and credibility, this tale of physical fear and emotional vulnerability offers a rare, vulnerable glimpse into his dynamic with Big B — the superstar he respects deeply.

It is also a tribute to Bachchan’s larger-than-life persona, and his own penchant for playful theatrics. The prank was not malicious; it was, in Manoj’s recollection, a moment of powerful jest — and perhaps a reflection of the trust between them.

As the KBC episode rolls out, the story is resonating with audiences for its blend of warmth, shock, and nostalgia. Viewers are reminded that even the biggest stars among us have layers — and sometimes, a joke from Amitabh can rattle you in ways you didn’t expect.

Sabrina Carpenter Doesn’t Have Cold Feet About Breaking This Fall Fashion Rule

Sabrina Carpenter is keeping cozy girl fall going—even on a night out with Taylor Swift.

On November 7, the pop stars were seen out and about in New York City, both dressed for a night on the town with autumnal twists. Unshaken by their staggering height differences, Swift threw on a pair of burgundy Gucci platform loafer heels with a preppy Thome Brown polo sweater and asymmetrical pleated skirt, topping everything off with a sloping shoulder bag by The Row (which you can and should read more about here).

For her part, Carpenter opted to dress up a white chunky cable-knit turtleneck with a black miniskirt and sheer stockings, further elongating her legs by adding a trench coat. This is a perfect short girl styling trick as the mid-length coat highlights the ultra-short hemline of the skirt, drawing even more attention to the legs.

Switch to low heels: The chic, comfortable fashion trend your feet will thank you for

by jummy84 November 3, 2025
written by jummy84

There was a time when beauty meant pain and pain had a pointed toe and a five-inch stiletto. But thankfully, the era of limping stylishly through weddings and office parties is finally over. Fashion has officially fallen in love with comfort, and the comeback queen of the season? Low heels.

low heels trend(Pinterest)

Yes, you read that right! Low heels are having a major moment, and this time, it’s not your grandmother’s orthopedic pair. We’re talking kitten mules, block heels, flared sandals, and slingbacks that marry comfort with couture.

The fall of the Stiletto Heel

Stilettos had their reign. They strutted down red carpets, conquered boardrooms, and became a symbol of “power dressing”. But somewhere between post-pandemic practicality and the rise of all-day dressing, our feet collectively decided: enough is enough.

Low heels, once seen as “too sensible”, are now the smart girl’s answer to effortless glam. They bring the height without the hurt, the polish without the pinch, and they go from desk to dance floor without requiring a backup pair of flats in your tote bag.

The rise of the Kitten Heel:

The kitten heel has had one of the most stylish comebacks of the decade. Once reserved for Audrey Hepburn-esque elegance, it’s now the go-to for everyone who wants understated chic.

You’ll spot them in sleek slingbacks, metallic mules, and square-toe sandals, all of which pair beautifully with everything from tailored trousers to lehengas. The key is in the proportion: just enough lift to elongate your legs, but still stable enough to actually walk in.

Style tip: Pair pointed-toe kitten heels with straight-cut jeans or midi skirts. It adds a polished finish without screaming “formal.”

Block Heels: The new power pick:

For anyone who’s ever regretted wearing pencil-thin heels to a wedding, block heels are your redemption arc. They’re comfortable, balanced, and endlessly versatile. Be it a textured leather pair for work or a sequinned block sandal for a sangeet night, these are the shoes that go the distance.

Block heels also play well with Indian wear, they give you height without sinking into the ground during outdoor functions.

Style tip: Try a nude or metallic block heel with a saree or sharara for understated glam that won’t kill your feet halfway through the night.

The return of the Slingback:

The return of the Slingback:(Pinterest)

The slingback heel is proof that minimalism never really goes out of style. Chic, refined, and a little retro, it’s the perfect blend of sophistication and ease.

For wedding guests, they’re the perfect pairing with cocktail sarees or pre-draped ensembles. For everyday wear, they add just the right amount of elegance to a blazer-and-denim combo.

Style tip: Look for slingbacks with a slightly flared heel or embellished buckle — small details that make them feel modern and festive.

Why fashion loves comfort now

After years of restrictive dressing and towering footwear, we’re collectively choosing ease over ego. Designers have responded, too with collections that prove comfort can still be couture. From Dior’s low-heeled J’Adior pumps to Amina Muaddi’s signature flared heels, the industry’s most stylish names are all leaning (comfortably) into this change.

It’s empowerment that doesn’t require a limp the next morning.

How to style low heels for every occasion:

Low heels may be practical, but they’re far from plain. Here’s how to wear them like a trend insider:

For weddings: Swap stilettos for low block heels with shimmer detailing. They pair beautifully with lehengas and sarees while keeping you dance-ready.

For work: Opt for closed-toe kitten heels or classic slingbacks. Pair them with wide-leg trousers or midi dresses for an instant polish.

For brunch: Strappy low-heeled sandals in pastel shades; they add height, comfort, and that easy-breezy vibe.

For parties: Metallic mules with sculpted heels; festive, photogenic, and surprisingly foot-friendly.

Pro tip: If you’re unsure about heel height, 1.5 to 2 inches is the sweet spot, it gives lift without compromising comfort.

What’s refreshing about the low heel trend is that it doesn’t apologise for being practical. It redefines what feminine power dressing looks like in 2025 confident, grounded, and graceful.

Gone are the days when “sensible shoes” meant boring. Today’s low heels come with square toes, jewel embellishments, sculptural shapes, and luxurious materials, proof that comfort and style can happily co-exist.

Doctor-recommended: 8 walking essentials to protect your feet, joints, and overall well-being

by jummy84 November 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Do you know that improper footwear, poor posture and skipping warm-ups are just some of the things that can making walking worse instead of good for your health? Research shows that walking for just 30 minutes a day can lower the risk of heart disease, improve blood sugar control, strengthen bones, and support mental well-being by reducing stress and anxiety. But making walking mistakes will make the effort go in vain.

Walk your way to wellness, doctor-recommended essentials for smoother, pain-free walks.(Adobe)

Dr Supreet Bajwa, Consultant Hip & Knee Surgeon at Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai Central, emphasises that even small mistakes in posture or gear can lead to discomfort or strain. Let us highlight eight doctor-recommended essentials – from the right gear to proper alignment – that can make every step safer, more effective, and truly restorative for the body.

8 walking essentials to make every step count

Regular walking has been shown to lower blood pressure, resting heart rate and body fat, while improving cardiovascular fitness and physical functioning, as reported by the British Journal of Sports Medicine. Explore 8 essentials recommended by Dr Supreet Bajwa for a comfortable walk:

Supportive Footwear

Select light, flexible walking shoes that provide sufficient arch and heel support. Ensure the sole bends naturally at the ball of the foot, as suggested by Dr Supreet Bajwa.

Proper footwear absorbs shock, maintains alignment, and prevents issues such as blisters, plantar fasciitis, and knee strain. Good support reduces stress on joints, improving comfort and stability during regular walks, as reported by the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association.

Corrective Insoles:

Even with the right shoes, many people still experience discomfort due to flat feet, high arches, or uneven weight distribution. Orthopaedic or corrective insoles, which are specially designed inserts, can help position your foot correctly and absorb shock more effectively, as suggested by Dr Bajwa. They are especially recommended for individuals who walk for extended periods or experience recurring foot or knee pain, the expert tells Health Shots.

Comfortable, breathable socks

Choosing socks is also an essential part of any walking routine. Socks play a significant role in overall comfort and foot health. So, opt for pairs that wick sweat away from the skin to reduce blisters and odour, as suggested by Dr Supreet Bajwa. Seamless designs minimise friction, while cushioned soles provide added comfort—especially for those who walk long distances or on hard surfaces.

Joint support: Compression braces and sleeves

If you frequently experience joint pain, mild compression, knee or ankle braces or sleeves may provide relief, as suggested by Dr Bajwa. These support equipment may enhance blood flow and provide gentle stability to the joints. They are especially beneficial when walking on uneven surfaces, such as uphill paths, or during longer walks, as reported by the BMC Sports Science, Medicine and Rehabilitation. Compression also helps reduce swelling, ease discomfort, and minimise the risk of strain while keeping movement comfortable and controlled.

Importance of hydration

Dr Bajwa says staying hydrated is also essential for maintaining muscle elasticity, joint lubrication, and overall endurance during walks. Even mild dehydration can lead to fatigue, muscle cramps, and reduced performance, especially in warmer conditions.

You can lose fluid easily during a walk, so it’s essential to drink water before and after your session, or carry a refillable bottle for longer durations. Dr Bajwa suggests that if your walk exceeds an hour, combine hydration with a light snack, such as fruit or nuts, to help maintain steady energy levels and prevent dips in blood sugar.

Correct posture

Posture plays a significant role in how your body feels during and after a walk. Keep your shoulders relaxed, head up, and eyes looking forward rather than down at your phone. Avoid leaning too far forward, as this can place unnecessary stress on your neck and lower back, suggests the expert.

Maintaining good posture also involves engaging your core muscles throughout the walk. This supports the spine, improves balance, and reduces lower back fatigue. Proper alignment helps distribute body weight evenly, preventing tension buildup in the joints and muscles over time, as reported by ResearchGate.

Stretching and recovery

As suggested by Dr Supreet Bajwa, the recovery and stretching you do after a walk are almost as important as the walk itself. Stretching key muscle groups, such as the lower back, hamstrings, quadriceps, and calf muscles, helps relieve stiffness and reduce post-walk soreness.

Incorporating simple stretches into your post-walk routine can improve flexibility, enhance blood circulation, and support muscle recovery, according to Dr Bajwa. Regular stretching also promotes joint lubrication, helping to maintain mobility and lower the risk of future injuries.

Sun and skin protection

Walking offers many benefits, but it also exposes you to the sun and heat. According to Dr Bajwa, protecting your skin is essential, whether you do it early morning or late evening when UV rays are still present.

Apply sunscreen to exposed areas, wear a cap or visor, and opt for light, breathable clothing to stay comfortable. When walking in low light, reflective strips or bright colours help ensure visibility and safety.

Loading...

Loading...

Making every step count:

Walking delivers real health benefits to you only when done mindfully. The goal is consistency and comfort, not chasing speed or distance. If pain lingers in your knees, heels, or hips, it’s time to rethink; don’t ignore it. Timely orthopaedic evaluation can identify hidden alignment issues early, helping you walk stronger and pain-free for years.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional or orthopaedic specialist before choosing any product to ensure it suits your individual needs and health condition.

‘Ask Away’: Rosé on Crazy Rumors, Her Dog’s Feet, and Writing Songs About Mean Boys

Wondering where Rosé calls home these days? “I would say the plane, lately,” the New Zealand–born, Australia-raised singer-songwriter says with a laugh as she crosses the threshold of the Ned NoMad. She’s on set with Vogue to kick off a new video series called Ask Away, and lucky for us, she’s nothing if not game.

After ordering herself a chilled vodka shot with lime, Rosé digs into her favorite rumor she’s ever heard about herself, reveals her favorite smell (“My dog, Hank, and his feet”), and even enjoys a cozy call from none other than Paris Hilton, who discusses how much fun it was to present her friend with the MTV VMA for song of the year last month.

After a few more special guests show up at the hotel’s bar to lob Rosé some questions, the fun really gets started: we learn her favorite curse word (you’ll have to watch the video to hear her say it), how she’s tried to turn herself from a night owl into an early bird, and her extremely relatable songwriting inspiration: “Boys… mean boys!” If Rosé weren’t a global superstar, she’d probably be “a primary-school art teacher,” and while she’d undoubtedly be a dream in the classroom, aren’t we so lucky to have her music—and her sheer star power—in our lives? Watch the full video up above.

Both testers and experts adore this luxe foot balm that feels more like a treat to apply than a chore. From the sleek tube to the velvety texture, this quickly became a favorite in our routines. “Rich in shea butter, L’Occitane’s balm provides deep hydration and a more indulgent feel,” says Dr. Pourziaee. “It’s ideal for people who want their foot care to be both effective and pampering.”

Glamour contributor Mary Honkus didn’t realize the importance of a foot cream until she began incorporating this into her evening routine. “My feet take a beating. It’s not uncommon for me to walk 10 miles a day, and I constantly have blisters,” she says. “It never even crossed my mind to give my feet a little TLC, and this has made a major difference for me. The buttery texture of this cream instantly sinks into my skin, so there’s no greasiness or weird film left on my sheets when I go to bed. Even better than that, though, this has helped moisturize my soles and heal my many blisters. My feet haven’t looked or felt this good in years, and it’s all thanks to this cream.”

‘I Used To Sweep The Set of An Ad Under The Feet of Actors’, Kayoze Irani Opened Up On His Internship Struggles

by jummy84 September 5, 2025
written by jummy84

This year seems to be the debut year of Bollywood nepo kids after Ahaan Panday and Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. Now, actor Boman Irani’s son Kayoze Irani has also made his debut as a director with the film Sarzameen. But he has carved his niche in the film industry before this. Kayoze Irani attended an interview in which he said, ‘I think I am not a thinker, so I cannot make any big claim. But I think that when you make a film where you are sharing something from your life, then honesty comes into your film’.

Kayoze Irani

Kayoze further said, ‘When that honesty comes, the film itself becomes good. See where to put the camera of the film, how the craft should be, it can happen, but the story is king. Your script should be strong; otherwise, no one can save you.’ Talking about the hard work to get fame and success in the industry, Kayoze said, ‘You have to work very hard. I am the son of a big actor, but I started as an intern. In my first job, I had to sweep the set of an ad film. So I used to clean the set by getting under the actor’s feet.’

Kayoze Irani

Talking about the differences with his father, Bama Irani, Kayoze said, ‘There is a lot of love in my house. I get so much love from my mother, but I feel that a child wants to be like his father. We have different thoughts on some topics with Papa, but our friendship is very strong. Whenever we talk, everyone listens to each other, but when Papa gives his opinion, it is just an opinion; he does not say that this is how it should be. That means we have the freedom to express our views and follow them.’

Kayoze Irani

Talking about casting Kajol, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Ibrahim Ali Khan in his first directorial film ‘Sarzameen’, he says, ‘I never felt that I am working with such big stars like Kajol ma’am and Prithviraj sir. They have given me a lot of respect. They made it very easy for me to make this film. They helped me a lot. As far as today’s generation is concerned, we are in the era of social media.’
