Taylor Swift’s Favorite Fall Boots Go Best With a Tight Little Skirt

by jummy84 November 16, 2025

We love boots, in all their versions. And Taylor Swift clearly does, too. However, if the singer had to choose just one style, there’s no doubt which one would be her favorite: stiletto boots.

The shoes are totally in line with Swift’s style, which often deftly toes the line between classic and trendy. In her latest public appearances—well, except for her most recent outing with Sabrina Carpenter, in which she opted for a pair of sky-high loafers—Taylor Swift has worn boots with a spiky stiletto heel. A classic shoe, with a little bit of a daring touch.

And Swift seems to especially love combining this type of boot with miniskirts (or as she might call it, “a tight little skirt”). Case in point: her most recent date in New York City with fiancé, Travis Kelce. The singer opted for an all-black look that included a knitted sweater, matching miniskirt, lace tights, and black stiletto boots.

Pope Leo XIV Reveals Favorite Movies Ahead of Vatican Event

by jummy84 November 11, 2025
written by jummy84

If you were hoping Pope Leo XIV was partial to movies like The Conclave or The Exorcist, sorry to disappoint. Ahead of a Hollywood gathering at the Vatican, the pontiff has revealed his four favorite films, which are all, unsurprisingly, extremely safe.

In a video posted by Variety, the pope listed 1946’s It’s a Wonderful Life starring Jimmy Stewart, 1965’s The Sound of Music featuring Julie Andrews, 1980’s Ordinary People starring Donald Sutherland and Mary Tyler Moore, and 1997’s Life Is Beautiful (La Vita è Bella) with Roberto Benigni.

Of those four films, three won Oscars, and the fourth was a nominee whose loss is considered one of the Academy’s worst snubs. The Sound of Music and Ordinary People each won Best Picture and Best Director, while Life Is Beautiful received an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Actor for Benigni. It’s a Wonderful Life was nominated for five Oscars, including Best Picture, but lost that award to The Best Years of Our Lives in 1946.

Perhaps we’ll get a special Criterion Closet episode with deeper cuts next?

As reported by Variety, Pope Leo is set to host a Vatican event on Saturday, November 15th, which will be attended by Hollywood stars including Cate Blanchett, Chris Pine, Viggo Mortensen, Alison Brie, Dave Franco, and Monica Bellucci.

Filmmakers Spike Lee, Gus Van Sant, George Miller, and Giuseppe Tornatore are also expected to attend. The gathering was organized by the Vatican’s culture office as part of the Catholic Church’s Holy Year celebrations.

In a statement, the Vatican said the pope aims “to deepen dialogue with the World of Cinema” while “exploring the possibilities that artistic creativity offers to the mission of the Church and the promotion of human values.”

It’s a clear move to deepen ties with Hollywood compared to his predecessor. While the late Pope Francis hosted late night hosts Conan O’Brien, Stephen Colbert, and Jimmy Fallon in June 2024, Pope Leo seems to be intent on courting Hollywood A-list stars.

Pope Leo has been meeting with several movie stars as of late, including Al Pacino in June and Robert De Niro last week. Last month, he denounced clickbait during a private meeting with media members and urged companies to be proactive in addressing AI.

Why Seth Rogen Turned Down Favorite Directors for The Studio Cameos

by jummy84 November 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Seth Rogen has been having to make some tough decisions.

The star and co-creator of the Emmy-winning series The Studio recently told GQ that he had to “turn down” some of his favorite directors who have asked for cameos in the show’s second season.

“It does feel like I’m running a fake movie studio at times,” Rogen admitted. “I’m having directors’ agents call me to pitch their clients to be the directors of fake movies on our show, which is very weird and very meta. And I’m having to actually turn down directors I’m a big fan of because the movie, the fake movie, maybe isn’t quite right for the fake package we have in our heads. So yeah, it’s gotten very strange.”

The Studio‘s debut season, which ended up being a critically acclaimed success, featured quite a few famous guest stars. The series centered on a fictional Hollywood movie studio, Continental Studios, working to survive in a world where it is increasingly difficult for art and business to live together. Rogen stars as Matt Remick, a movie executive who gets promoted to president of the studio.

Though season one was packed with some iconic cameos, the Platonic actor still had plenty of people decline to make an appearance. However, some have since regretted that decision.

“I had a few people come up to me at the Emmys saying they regret it, which was very meaningful to me,” he said. “That’s all I want — for people to regret not working with me.”

In addition to all the cameos, Rogen has previously admitted that some of the characters and episodes in The Studio have been inspired by real Hollywood people or situations.

“Yes, I’ve been yelled at three times in the last week,” the Good Fortune star told Stephen Colbert earlier this year when asked about how people reacted when they eventually realized it was based on them. “Some of them are pleased, some of them are not pleased, I will say.”

Katy Perry’s ‘Bandaids’ Voted Favorite New Music This Week

by jummy84 November 10, 2025
written by jummy84

“Bandaids,” the new single from Katy Perry, tops this week’s fan-voted music poll.

Music fans voted in a poll published Friday (Nov. 7) on Billboard, choosing Perry’s latest track as their favorite new release.

“Bandaids” made its arrival during a week that also saw new music releases from Rosalía, Hilary Duff, Kehlani and more, and brought in 44% of the vote.

The song about moving on following the end of a longterm relationship — Perry’s first since splitting with actor Orlando Bloom — has the pop star singing, “Got so used to you letting me down/ No use tryna send flowers now/ Telling myself you’ll change, you don’t/ Bandaids over a broken heart/ Tried all the medications/ Lowered my expectations/ Made every justification/ Bleeding out, bleeding out, bleeding out slow/ Bandaids over a broken heart.”

“tbh I struggled for months with the idea of putting this song out… even after all these years it can be scary to be vulnerable… but hopefully the lyrics of this song resonate with someone going through what I have been through and maybe they won’t feel so alone and will find the strength to keep going like I have,” she wrote to fans on Instagram.

Perry’s been on the road with her Lifetimes Tour since April, and is currently finishing up the European leg of the trek before making her way to China later this month.

Her last full-length studio album, 143, was released in 2024 and debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Among the new releases trailing behind “Bandaids” are Rosalía’s Lux, with 37% of the vote; Hilary Duff’s “Mature,” with 9% of the vote, and Kehlani’s “Out the Window,” with 2% of the vote.

Dakota Johnson Just Revealed Her Favorite Jeans That ‘Always Look Good’

by jummy84 October 27, 2025
written by jummy84

Dakota Johnson just revealed her favorite jeans (and you know she’s got a great eye for denim).

“I don’t feel like I’m aware of what looks good on me,” Johnson said in her recent Vogue Germany cover interview—a sentence you may not expect to hear from this particular source. We’re talking about Dakota Johnson, who can certainly be described as a contemporary style icon. She regularly wows photographers and journalists with her glamorous red carpet appearances, and her mostly casual yet stylish off-duty looks serve as a styling template for more than just her fans. There are now accounts on Instagram that analyze the actress’ outfits in detail and present the exact pieces of her styling in no time at all. One of the most famous of these, @dakotajohnsonscloset, currently has over 71,000 followers.

Understandably, the everyday basics that Dakota Johnson wears are of great interest to all those who want to recreate her looks. After all, apart from the film industry, there are only a few people who regularly need gowns for red carpets and events.

And so, in the aforementioned cover interview with Dakota Johnson, Vogue made sure to ask about her current favorite jeans.

Dakota Johnson’s favorite jeans are from Levi’s and a Californian brand

During her Vogue interview, Dakota Johnson talked about a major closet clean-out she had recently completed: “There are things from all over the world, pieces from my mother or that I’ve accumulated myself,” she revealed. “It’s crazy because you often end up wearing only jeans. Even right now, I’m wearing jeans and a sweater, but I always choose these pieces very carefully.”

When asked about her current preferred choice when it comes to jeans, the actor subsequently revealed: “Always vintage Levi’s. If you find a good pair—real ones, not altered ones!—they’re the classic that always looks good. And I really like Agolde jeans.”

In fact, the Hollywood star has already been spotted in public wearing Agolde jeans. In September 2024, for example, Dakota Johnson showed off a stunning look in New York’s Tribeca district. It consisted of a red polo sweater and light blue, wide-legged jeans, which Dakota Johnson paired with square-toe slingback flats. The Agolde jeans impressed with a “casual (but not too conspicuous) baggy silhouette and extra-long, straight-cut legs,” as Vogue Germany writer Katharina Fuchs described at the time.

LE SSERAFIM, J-Hope’s ‘Spaghetti’ Voted This Week’s Favorite New Music

by jummy84 October 27, 2025
written by jummy84

LE SSERAFIM’s new collaboration with BTS’ j-hope has topped this week’s new music poll.

In a poll published Friday (Oct. 24) by Billboard, music fans chose the powerhouse team-up’s “Spaghetti” as their favorite new release of the week.

“Spaghetti” earned 77% of the vote, beating out new projects from Demi Lovato (It’s Not That Deep), Megan Thee Stallion (“LOVER GIRL”), Bruce Springsteen (Nebraska ’82), Daniel Caesar (Son of Spergy), Leon Thomas (Pholks), and more.

The track serves as the lead single from LE SSERAFIM’s eight-track HYBE compilation of the same name and marks j-hope’s first-ever feature on a K-pop girl group song.

Earlier in the week, the song was teased through a YouTube video titled “The Kick,” featuring j-hope in a Matrix-inspired outfit and shades, surrounded by flashing strobe lights. The clip ends with a snippet of LE SSERAFIM members — KIM CHAEWON, SAKURA, HUH YUNJIN, KAZUHA, and HONG EUNCHAE — delivering the line “eat it up.”

Speaking with Billboard Philippines, LE SSERAFIM shared insights into the making of “Spaghetti.” The song “expresses LE SSERAFIM’s charm that you just can’t get away from, like spaghetti that’s stuck in your teeth,” SAKURA said. “The part where we sing ‘eat it up’ over and over is the highlight, and since each of us members delivers it in our own styles, it adds even more playfulness to the song.”

LE SSERAFIM have been on a hot streak this year. In March, the group’s album HOT debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, marking their fifth top 10 entry and second chart-topper after 2024’s Crazy.

Placing second in this week’s poll was Lovato’s new album, It’s Not That Deep, which secured 7% of the vote.

Olivia Dean Is Your Next Favorite Pop Star

Olivia Dean Is Your Next Favorite Pop Star

by jummy84 October 18, 2025
written by jummy84

Though the 26-year-old’s songwriting feels very now, she’s not imitating pop-music trends like the heavy-handed satire of Sabrina Carpenter or the very-online language of Taylor Swift. She’s cheery but not trite, earnest but not saccharine. A situationship might be a modern conceit, but “Nice to Each Other” sounds as though it could have been published in any decade between 1950 and the 2020s. Dean captures the messiness of a dalliance with an expiration date for what it is—a push and pull between romance and convenience that is not really modern at all.

Dean’s rich sound and blend of genres—pop, neo-soul, R&B, with a kiss of Motown and the singer-songwriters (Joni Mitchell, Carol King) and vocalists (Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston) that inspire her—also make her an outlier among her peers. Fans have likened her to Norah Jones and Amy Winehouse for the warm and soulful sound that she appears to deliver effortlessly; the most apt comparison, in my opinion, remains Adele, a fellow graduate of London’s Brit School, where Dean says she learned to let go of her fear of putting her art in front of a judgy audience.

“That’s where I met my band and my best friends and like-minded people,” she says of the renowned arts school. “I was able to just really commit to myself and not be ashamed about my love of music and feel like it was embarrassing or over-the-top.”

Dean is affable but a little reserved during our call, which took place the week between her performances on weekends one and two of the Austin City Limits Festival. She recalls that she was a shy kid, and I wonder if that foreshadowed her tendency toward privacy as she’s entered the spotlight. We chat casually about Cameron Winter, the artist she’s been listening to lately; her curly-hair routine (she’s on a less-is-more, embrace-the-volume kick right now); and her current TV diet, a combination of Sex and the City, Friends, and The Great British Bake Off. She’s quick to laugh, her British accent carrying the same satisfying huskiness she possesses in her singing voice.

Vicky Kaushal’s Favorite Directors: Guess Who’s Not On The List? | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 October 16, 2025
written by jummy84

Actor Vicky Kaushal has spoken about the ongoing buzz around his strained relationship with director Anurag Kashyap, days after the director spoke candidly about their current lack of interaction.

In a conversation at the Yuvaa Conclave, the Masaan actor, all set to become a father soon, spoke about the directors with whom he is close. Vicky openly tagged directors such as Anand Tiwari, Meghna Gulzar, and Laxman Utekar, highlighting the importance of long-term creative partnerships based on respect and trust to him. Interestingly, there was no mention of Anurag Kashyap’s name in the list — something that did not escape the fans, particularly in the wake of Kashyap’s recent comments.

This comes after the director’s open interview with The Lallantop, where he spoke about Vicky Kaushal’s new movie Chhaava, which was released on February 14, 2025. Anurag shared that he screened the movie just to watch actor Viineet Kumar Singh perform and confessed that he didn’t particularly care for it.

More importantly, he also opened up about his equation at a personal level with Kaushal. “I have very little interaction with him now. I don’t judge him, because everyone has their own reasons… I don’t repeat myself. What I wanted to say, I said,” said Kashyap, clearly stating there has been distance between them.

For those who do not know their background, Vicky Kaushal’s first major role was in Kashyap’s 2015 film Masaan, and that remains a milestone in his career. Kashyap, an acclaimed director with a reputation for providing new talent with their initial major opportunity, had frequently boasted about Kaushal’s ascension in Bollywood. Nevertheless, with time, their professional journeys went different ways.

Vicky’s recent remarks indicate a subtle but strong effort to clear the air without taking things out of hand. By not mentioning Kashyap as one of his closest collaborators, the actor of Uri appeared to indirectly confirm increasing distance between them while accentuating the individuals who are still a part of his creative process.

Meanwhile, Kashyap’s comments also suggested no ill will merely a natural drift in all these years as both established their own careers.

Although no reason for the estrangement has been openly expressed by either side, this public acknowledgement on both their parts has placed their once-strong relationship in sharp relief, and the fans wonder now if ever the two will again work together in the future.

Esau Ortiz’s ‘Discontrol’ Album Wins Favorite New Latin Music Poll

by jummy84 October 13, 2025
written by jummy84

Esaú Ortiz’s Discontrol has topped Billboard’s latest new Latin music poll, published on Friday, Oct. 10.

In support of the weekly New Music Latin roundup and playlist, curated by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors, music fans voted for the Mexican artist’s new album as their favorite music release of the week. Ortiz came in first place with 60% of the votes for Discontrol. In second place, with nearly 40 percent of the vote, was La Nueva Ola de la Cumbia’s “Lucha Libre.”

Released via Esaú Ortiz Azuara and distributed by Sony Music Latin, the 14-track LP cements Ortiz as a rising force in música mexicana, opening with the title track that is a bona fide party anthem, fusing disco-tinged beats with regional Mexican instrumentation — showcasing the singer-songwriter’s versatility from the get-go. “Discontrol” sets the tone for Ortiz’s experimental essence in the album, dabbling in hip-hop, pop, cumbia and electronica.

The album also includes his global viral hit “Triple Lavada,” which landed in Billboard‘s Best Songs of 2025 (So Far). The song’s remix, featuring Mexican heavy hitters Luis R Conriquez, Oscar Maydon, Alemán and Victor Mendivil, closes Discontrol.

In April, Ortiz signed with Sony Music Latin and said in a statement, “I have the best team to take my music to the next level and to the ears of everyone.” He added, ” I believe we will do great things together, which makes me very happy.”

The poll also included new releases by Nathy Peluso, who teamed up with Rawayana for “Malportada,” Santa Fe Klan’s “Wuare” and Shakira’s “Zoo” for Zootopia 2.

Editor’s Note: The weekly New Music Latin poll results are posted if the poll generates more than 1,000 votes.
