The fashion show took place on Wednesday night (October 15) in New York, and marked just the second time in Victoria Secret’s Fashion Show’s long history that the fashion show has featured an all-women performance line-up.

Missy Elliott headlined the performances, playing a medley of her greatest hits. She kicked off her raucous set with ‘Minute Man’, before one of her biggest tracks ever, ‘Get Ur Freak On’. She then put things in reverse for ‘Work It’ and closed the night with ‘Lose Control’.

Prior to Missy Elliott’s set, Coachella 2026 headliner Karol G performed two songs that served as a powerful shout out to her Latin heritage, as she sang ‘Ivonny Bonita’ and ‘Latina Forever’. She also walked the runway towards the end of her set and earned a standing ovation.

Pop star Madison Beer also performed earlier in the show, where she performed ‘Bittersweet’ live for the first time, alongside hits like ‘Make You Mine’ and ‘Yes Baby’. K-pop group TWICE also performed, making them only the second K-pop act to perform at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show after BLACKPINK‘s Lisa last year.

Missy Elliott’s setlist was:
‘Minute Man’
‘Get Ur Freak On’
‘Work It’
‘Lose Control’

Karol G’s setlist was:
‘Ivonny Bonita’
‘Latina Forever’

Madison Beer’s setlist was:
‘Make You Mine’
‘Bittersweet’
‘Yes Baby’

2024’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show made its return for the first time in six years, and for the first time ever featured a performance line-up that was entirely made up of women – it featured a bombshell line-up that included BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Tyla and was headlined by the legendary Cher.

Performers at past Victoria’s Secret fashion shows include Mary J. Blige, Destiny’s Child, Spice Girls, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Sting, Seal, Taylor Swift, Fall Out Boy, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, Harry Styles, The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Rita Ora and more.

Shantanu & Nikhil celebrate women with latest collection ‘Velora’ at Lakme Fashion Week

New Delhi, Designer duo Shantanu & Nikhil showcased their latest collection “Velora”, which celebrated “modern elegance and timeless craftsmanship”, at the Lakme Fashion Week.

Shantanu & Nikhil celebrate women with latest collection ‘Velora’ at Lakme Fashion Week

The show was held at The Grand Hotel, New Delhi, on Saturday and was attended by several celebrities, including Alaya F, Diana Penty and Shibani Dandekar, who posed for the pictures with the designers.

Inspired by 1930s style, the collection captured the cinematic charm of the period that celebrated the red-carpet diva. The couturiers, who have been known for showcasing menswear, focused on bringing womenswear to the ramp with “Velora”.

The designers celebrated the women’s spirit with their designs, encapsulating both the essence of femininity and a commanding presence on the runway. The collection, which featured gowns adorned with shimmering details and corsets.

The details included pearl work with additions of metallic accessories and crystals, which complemented the outfits. Many attires had gloves, highlighting the essence of the collection.

The colour palette included colours such as black, red, gold and white.

Shantanu explained how the 1930s era served as a source of inspiration for the fashion duo.

“The only thing that came to her rescue was the cinematic allure. The whole red carpet siren was born in that era, and I think the 1930s have always been a big attraction to both Nikhil and me as a brand because that’s where the fierce, the unapologetic and the fearless woman arrived. I think that’s what we’ve always perceived our women to be,” he told PTI.

Nikhil added, “It was a 1930s flavour, we love telling stories, and this one was really about a glamorous, sophisticated woman stepping out in her full glory without the baggage of tradition. It was specifically for her own mood, experience and the kind of woman she is. If you look at the history of the era, the 1930s post the depression, there was really no escape for the women then.”

Lakme Fashion Week started on Wednesday and will conclude today with the finale showcase by the renowned designer Tarun Tahiliani.

12 Photos of a Young Diane Keaton, the Original Poster Girl for Vintage Fashion

by jummy84 October 11, 2025
written by jummy84

Said outfit, of course, echoed her on-screen style as Annie, whose “rueful, Chaplinesque, baggy-pants-and-vest look” struck a chord with an entire generation keen to leave behind the “rich hippy” feel of the late ’60s, as Vogue put it. The key to achieving the aesthetic? In a word: vintage.

“Even before the emergence of the Annie Hall style, the popularity of thrift shop clothes had hit the streets,” this magazine noted in an August 1978 interview with the film’s costume designer Ruth Morley. “Ethel Scull made the papers in New York a few years back when she appeared at a gathering of swells in a genuine ESSO workman’s coverall, and rock stars had popularized the slightly schizophrenic garb of cast-offs from other milieux. Lifestyles in general have grown less formal by quantum leaps, and individuality in clothing seems to be a badge for that by-now clichéd adage to ‘do your own thing.’ Women’s hard-won independence is reflected by their search for more personal and less dictatorial styles.”

For her part, Keaton had been a devotee of Goodwill since the early ’60s, calling its LA branches her “sanctuary” as a teenager. “Mom taught my sister Dorrie and me to rummage for the best and alter if needed,” she wrote in Fashion First. “Someone else’s junk was now our perfect treasure. Once home, we would put together outfits for the rest of the day, while discussing when we would go back to the Goodwill.” Before she had even left Santa Ana College for Manhattan, she had developed her distinctive taste—as evidenced by her request to wear a bowler hat to her prom. “My mother said, ‘Maybe another time, Diane.’”

Here, Vogue looks back at the star’s most memorable early fashion moments.
