5 Actors Who Could Play Dev In Brahmāstra 2 ( Photo Credit – Facebook/YouTube)

After his last film, the Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR starrer action-thriller War 2, underperformed in theaters, filmmaker Ayan Mukerji’s recent social media post sparked speculation about the sequel to Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva. While the massively mounted 2022 film received mixed reviews from critics, it struck the right chord with a large segment of cinephiles, thanks to the lead pair of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt and world-class visual effects.

If the speculation turns out to be true, and the much-anticipated sequel Brahmāstra: Part Two – Dev is indeed happening, the big question is, who will play the titular role this time? Here are five Indian actors who could be a perfect fit to play Dev in Ayan Mukerji’s ambitious second installment of the planned trilogy.

1. Ranveer Singh

Ever since the release of the first Brahmāstra film, many fans have speculated that Ranveer Singh could play Dev, while Deepika Padukone might portray Amrita. The ever-energetic Gully Boy actor, who will next be seen in Aditya Dhar’s spy actioner Dhurandhar, is undoubtedly one of the most exciting choices to bring Dev’s intense and fiery character to life.

What an incredible transformation by Ranveer!

This is why he’s the greatest of this generation ,the actor who gives it his all for every single role. Phenomenal!
I can’t wait for the trailer that will drop on 12th November 2025.

2. Hrithik Roshan

While his last film, War 2, also directed by Ayan Mukerji, may not have performed at the box office as expected, one should never underestimate Hrithik Roshan’s star power, box office appeal, and acting prowess. He has the intensity and screen presence needed to portray the formidable Dev in Brahmāstra: Part Two – Dev. If that happens, fans will finally witness two powerhouse performers, Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor, sharing screen space for the very first time.

25 years in the industry and he still has the same aura, good looking and charisma. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥#HrithikRoshan #War2 pic.twitter.com/vmirN5sYUN

3. Ranbir Kapoor

There is a chance that Ranbir Kapoor himself may play the double role of Shiva and Dev in the sequel. Previously, the Animal actor had played the double role of a father and son in Karan Malhotra’s Shamshera. While the period action drama didn’t do well at the box office, Ranbir Kapoor can turn things around in Brahmāstra: Part Two – Dev. The immensely talented actor is gearing up for his next films: Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War and Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana Part One.

4. Prabhas

Casting the Baahubali star Prabhas in a big-ticket film like Brahmāstra: Part Two – Dev alongside Ranbir Kapoor would be a dream come true for fans. If it happens, Ayan Mukerji’s sequel could truly become a pan-Indian cinematic spectacle. The Rebel Star is next set to appear in the romantic horror-comedy The RajaSaab, followed by Hanu Raghavapudi’s next and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit.

On our REBEL Fans demand 🤗

5. Jr. NTR

The RRR star Jr. NTR is undoubtedly one of the most intense and talented actors in Indian cinema. His electrifying screen presence was on full display in his recent outing, War 2. Sharing the screen with Ranbir Kapoor could offer audiences a fresh and compelling male lead duo, creating a unique cinematic experience. Jr. NTR fans are also eagerly anticipating his next project with director Prashanth Neel.

I am seeing your love for #War2 and I love you back for it… Incredible to see the public support for our film which we made with a lot of passion. Let’s goooo!@ihrithik @advani_kiara #AyanMukerji @yrf #YRFSpyUniverse pic.twitter.com/fl0eEoO9hK

Daily Wire’s ‘Pendragon Cycle’ Fantasy Series Gets Trailer

by jummy84 October 17, 2025
written by jummy84

The Daily Wire has released a trailer for its first live-action scripted series, The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin.

The fantasy drama, based on a series of novels by Stephen R. Lawhead, is set to premiere Jan. 22 on DailyWire+, the conservative outlet’s SVOD platform. The show, created and executive produced by Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boreing (who also directed some of the series), is a retelling of Arthurian legend that’s set in the Roman-dominated land that will eventually become Britain during the fourth through sixth centuries.

Watch the trailer below.

In a statement, Boreing said The Pendragon Cycle is “the culmination of a 10-year vision to create culture, not just to criticize it. Lawhead’s novels present a visceral, masculine Christianity in a world of conflict and mystery. It isn’t saccharine or clean. In short, it is very much like our world. I’m so happy to share our adaptation, and the work of our remarkable cast and crew, with the Daily Wire audience.”

The Daily Wire has produced a number of feature films (both scripted and documentary) and a couple of animated series, but The Pendragon Cycle represents the biggest swing for the company, which Boreing founded with Ben Shapiro, in the TV arena.

Tom Sharp stars as Merlin in the series. The cast also includes Rose Reid, James Arden, Finney Cassidy, Myles Clohessy, Brett Cooper, Alex Laurence Phillips, Daniel Fathers and Emree Franklin.

Boreing executive produces with Shapiro, Daily Wire CEO Caleb Robinson Dallas Sonnier of Bonfire Legend, Daniel Kresmery of Hero Squared, and Ryan Whitaker for Tirian Films. Producers are Travis Mills, Jonathan Hay, Amanda Presmyk, Jonathan Halperyn, Jerilyn Esquibel, Augusto Pelliccia, Julius Nasso and Lawhead. Whitaker and Jesse V. Johnson also directed episodes of the series.

Sarah Jessica Parker thinks Victoria’s Secret is a ‘fantasy’

Sarah Jessica Parker sees Victoria’s Secret as a “fantasy”.

Sarah Jessica Parker attends the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

The 60-year-old actress was a guest at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Wednesday (15.10.25) and took a moment before the glitzy event to reflect on the impact the VS brand has had on her.

She told stylist Law Roach during the pre-show: “I probably have probably the same history with Victoria’s Secret that most civilians do which is it’s sort of this fantasy.

“And whether you fit in or not in reality kind of doesn’t matter.

“It’s a longtime brand that’s played a role in a lot of our lives for a really, really long time.”

The Sex And the City legend stepped out in a black Alexander Wang dress she bought “1,000 years ago”, pairing it with a Dolce and Gabbana jacket, and heels from her own shoe brand.

She joked she was “wearing nothing” for the event, describing her outfit as “pieces I’ve had in my closet forever”.

Sarah recently hinted she could still reprise her SATC character Carrie Bradshaw again in the future, despite seemingly saying farewell to her alter ego at the end of sequel series And Just Like That.

Asked about the decision to bring the series to a conclusion, Sarah told CBS Mornings: “I mean, I’m not certain I understand what that decision means, actually.

“Because I could just be on hiatus, you know.”

Sarah did not expand on what she meant with the “hiatus” suggestion but described the “difficult decision” she and showrunner Michael Patrick King made to finish And Just Like That… .

The Mars Attacks! star said: “Michael and I talked a lot about it, and I think it’s out of respect for this really singular professional experience that you have to consider what you want to do (and) have you done it.

“And sometimes it’s best to gracefully walk away when things feel really right and energetic, versus squeezing and exploiting people’s generosity and hospitality.”

Sex and sensuality were big themes on the spring 2026 runways, but if there’s one place where sexy is a mode of being rather than merely a trend it’s Victoria’s Secret. The lingerie behemoth returns this year with its famous Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, this time with the American designer Adam Selman as its Executive Creative Director. Selman has decades of experience under his belt, but is perhaps best known for his work at Savage X Fenty, the lingerie brand founded by Rihanna, whom he has also often dressed, most memorably in 2014, when she accepted the CFDA’s Fashion Icon Award in a floor-length sheer tank dress embellished with Swarovski crystals of his design.

Selman joins Nicole Phelps on The Run-Through this week to talk about his career trajectory, and the challenges of heading up an independent label—even one worn by one of the biggest stars in the world. “[When Rihanna wore my dress at the CFDAs] it was such a huge moment for me,” Selman recalls. “I was so poor, pouring everything into my brand, doing everything possible to keep it alive.” That night “my name was splashed everywhere across the world, and it was a surreal moment. And then the next morning I had a 5:30am call time to be a tailor on a Nike job because I had to pay my bill, and I had to keep my business going. That was what I was doing at the time to keep the lights on and to pay the people that were helping me make it happen.”

On the new episode, Selman also reveals his plans to modernize the Victoria’s Secret brand while keeping its roots. How exactly will the angels, the wings, the va-va-voom hair, and his vision of contemporary sex-appeal all come together? “Obviously I’m very inclusive. That’s part of my past and my history that I’m gonna bring forward,” he explains. “But it has to be authentic, right? I think people are sick of seeing brands sort of tick boxes. I think it has to be authentic, it has to be right—the right product for the right size… lingerie is illusion and solution.” You’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out how his ideas shape up on the runway, but in the meantime, listen to Adam Selman on The Run-Through below.

Martin Freeman Controls Time in Sentimental Fantasy

Given the pressures of modern existence, it’s clear why an adaptation of Michael Ende’s 1973 novel “Momo” would appear utterly relevant in 2025. More than ever, the hours in the day seem insufficient.

In writer-director Christian Ditter’s glossy take on the fantastical story about the preciousness of time, an enigmatic red-haired girl named Momo (Alexa Goodall) lives inside the amphitheater of an unnamed European city (perhaps closest in look to Rome). Locals take an interest in Momo given her special talent for listening to people. When someone confides in her, the speaker feels magically compelled to be truthful. They leave the exchange feeling relieved and acknowledged, a rarity in the attention-starved era of the internet. Strangely, instead of being integral to the narrative as a whole, Momo’s fit serves as the vehicle for her to learn the Grey corporation’s villainous plans.

Those who work for Grey are “time thieves,” otherworldly entities that rely on stealing hours from humans to live. Their ploy to do so is convincing the populace to wear bracelets that monitor when they use their time in a productive manner or when they “waste” it on enjoyment. All the time saved, they think, will accumulate for them to spend it with their loved ones or pursue their passions later in life. It’s a straightforward cautionary tale about how modern economic systems demand productivity and consumption, while robbing the masses of the energy and space to chase fulfilment during their all-too-finite lives. However, the way time is actually extracted or how it might be returned to the person saving it is left unexplained. For a film that also introduces other well-defined futuristic technology as not-so-distant threats, the lack of concrete mechanics for this core aspect feels disappointing.

Momo’s mysterious origin as a young girl who appeared without a family makes for an intriguing departure point. But once she accepts her mission to save everyone else from the time thieves, the heroine isn’t allowed any ambivalence or contemplation about her future or her past. And while that’s in line with the notion of living in the moment, one wonders if the character doesn’t long for a parent, or to go to school, or to experience life as other kids her age do. Does she not question why she was chosen or created? Momo comes across more like a concept than a person. Goodall’s charismatic performance should certainly further her nascent career, but within “Momo,” there are built-in limitations to what she can showcase emotionally beyond unwavering determination.

Aside from the amphitheater’s good-natured janitor Beppo (Kim Bodnia), Momo’s most meaningful relationship is her friendship with Gino (Araloyin Oshunremi), a teenager working multiple jobs to help his mother Liliana (Jennifer Amaka Pettersson) support his siblings. When Grey offers him a platform to realize his dream of building a fanbase, Gino becomes a digital star via high-tech contact lenses that people wear to watch content. As with most ideas in “Momo,” this nod to how social media warps our worldview and eats away our time is blatantly obvious, but only skin deep since the filmmaker won’t engage with the whys.

Partway through, Momo, aided by a tortoise whose shell displays glowing text to communicate, travels to an alternate reality to meet Master Hora (an amusing Martin Freeman), a generic benevolent magic man who discloses a bit more exposition in the form of narration throughout the adventure. Carefully deployed VFX enhance the whimsy in this realm where a giant pendulum over water represents the passage of time. There’s an atemporal quality to the film’s stylized alternate reality, which blends an old-world charm with signs of a technocratic dystopia, all contained to a few blocks in an imaginary town. The film’s impressive production values at least makes for an eye-catching watch.

“Momo” struggles to shape its derivative components into a cohesive whole, but as soon as one digs any deeper about the lore or the characters’ motivations or inner conflicts, the film reveals itself to be shallow. The commentary on how responsibilities take over our lives, forcing us to dismiss what’s truly valuable, never dares to substantially poke at the reasons why this occurs, such as economic inequality, lack of opportunities and corporate greed. In evolving the original text for current times, keeping the theme’s profundity to “time doesn’t exist in their watches but in their hearts” feels almost disingenuous, even if aimed at young audiences.

When Momo inevitably saves the day, after stopping time and facing off against the leader of the Grey antagonists (played by a stoic Claes Bang), it all seems to go back to normal. Everyone has presumably learned the value of time, but have their material conditions changed for them to actually be able to focus on the things they want to do? That much remains a mystery.

“Be the first one to find God, and you can rewrite your fate.” CMC Pictures in China has revealed the main official trailer for a big action fantasy sequel called A Writer’s Odyssey 2, the follow-up to the hit movie A Writer’s Odyssey from 2021. “Reality is being overwritten by fiction…” Can he stop it? The writer is back again for another epic story. “Before you step into the theater, make sure you’re not his next character. The story isn’t finished yet… but the NPCs are already off-script! Plot is spiraling out of control—return to reality while you still can.” Struggling novelist Lu Kongwen gives in to a powerful temptation, plunging himself and his fictional characters into an inescapable crisis. Through rediscovering his purpose, he joins forces with his creations to heroically resolve the dual-world catastrophe. The movie stars Deng Chao, Dong Zijian, Lei Jiayin, Wang Shengdi, and Ding Chengxin. Just like the first movie, this looks like a crazy action-packed, CGI-filled adventure with tons of creatures and characters and fights and everything else. Have fun.

Here’s the official trailer (+ posters) for Yang Lu’s action sequel A Writer’s Odyssey 2, from YouTube:
