Wednesday Season 2 Ending Explained: Thing’s Dark Past, Slurp’s True Identity & A Family Betrayal

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Major spoilers ahead!

Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 has finally dropped, bringing an intense conclusion to the story. While fans are not mighty impressed with the second part, the season did manage to tie a lot of loose ends, revealing shocking family secrets and opening up several questions for a possible third season. From an unexpected body swap that saw Wednesday wear pink and dance on BLACKPINK’s song to Thing’s backstory, the finale was packed with drama and revelations. Here’s a breakdown of what went down.

Wednesday Season 2’s final chapter picked up with our favourite goth girl waking from her coma. She is met by the deceased Principal Larissa Weems, who returns as her guardian spirit. Meanwhile, most of the outcast patients who escaped Willow Hill are hunted down, leaving only three survivors – Uncle Fester, Pugsley’s resurrected zombie friend Slurp and a female patient whom Wednesday rescued.

To refresh everyone’s memories, former Nevermore teacher Augustus Stonehearst was a chief physician at Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital, who launched a program to transfer the supernatural abilities of Outcasts to normies and faked the death of a lot of Outcasts for his experiment. This plot point forms a major part of the narrative.

Lady Gaga’s Debut and Body Swap

Wednesday continues to be haunted by visions of Enid’s death. Without her psychic powers, she feels helpless. Her grandmama Hester tells her that the late Nevermore professor Rosaline Rotwood may hold the key. Wednesday reads the inscription on her grave to temporarily regain second sight and the ritual summons Rotwood’s spirit, played by the iconic Lady Gaga. However, the ritual does not go as planned. When Wednesday’s friend Enid Sinclair interrupts her attempt, the ritual misfires, leading to an epic body swap. We get to see several comical moments, including Enid in Wednesday’s body wearing colourful dresses and dancing to BLACKPINK before the spell is reversed.

Wednesday

Enid’s Alpha Werewolf Phase

Enid learns that she is an Alpha werewolf. While Alphas can shift outside the full moon, it comes with a risk. Once they transform into a werewolf on a full moon night, they might not be able to come back to their human form.

Wednesday’s pursuit of truth brings her face-to-face with grim secrets. It is revealed that Pugsley’s pet zombie Slurp is a former Nevermore student, Isaac Night, who was once Gomez Addams’ roommate. He once built an outcast-reversal device to cure his sister Francoise’s Hyde condition. The device later falls into the hands of Augustus Stonehurst, who uses it for his experiment on outcasts. It is also revealed that Francoise is actually the patient that Wednesday had rescued from Willow Hill. Oh, and she also happens to be Tyler’s (Wednesday’s biggest adversary) mother!

Wednesday

Secrets of the Addams

Through her visions and flashbacks, Wednesday learns that Gomez and Isaac were once close friends during their time at the Nevermore Academy. Young Isaac requested Gomez to use his electrical powers to help cure Francoise. However, Isaac wanted to steal his power and didn’t mind almost killing him in the process. Morticia finds out and destroys Isaac’s machine and killing him in an explosion that follows. They bury Isaac beneath the Skull Tree and keep mum about the incident under pressure from Stonehurst. She also severed Isaac’s right hand, which gave birth to Thing!

I didn’t watch Part 2 yet but are you freaking telling me that the Thing was Slurp’s hand??? And Slurp is gonna be a love interest for Wednesday in Season 3?? WHAT pic.twitter.com/hAGcASVOJC

Isaac’s Plan and Enid Wolving Out
Now united with Francoise and Tyler, Isaac once again tries to cure his sister of her Hyde condition and abducts Wednesday’s brother, Pugsley, for it. But Francoise wants her son, Tyler, cured instead of her. Following hints, Wednesday reached the Skull Tree to confront Isaac and stop his experiment. He overpowers Wednesday with Tyler’s help and buries her alive. Enid, who had been confined in the Lupin cages to prevent herself from wolfing out, runs to Wednesday’s help and transforms herself into a wolf, knowing well that she cannot turn back. The finale ends with her running into the woods. Later, towards the end, Wednesday is seen reuniting with Uncle Fester to look for Enid, as per her promise to her friend.

Wednesday

With the help of her friends and allies, Wednesday succeeds in stopping Isaac and also frees Tyler, instead of killing him. Tyler and his mother, who are now both in their Hyde forms, battle it out. In an attempt to stop Tyler, Francoise falls to her death, leaving him alone once again. Thing, on the other hand, shows where his loyalties lie and rips Isaac’s clockwork heart from his chest, killing him. He then detaches himself from Isaac’s body and returns to the Addams family.

After Francoise’s death, Nevermore Academy’s music teacher, Isadora Capri, offers to help Tyler as she is setting up a support system for Hydes. She reveals that her father was also a Hyde, and she wants to create a community for Hydes where they will not need any masters to control them.

While it seemed that Wednesday was able to save Nevermore, her friends, her family and herself, the last scene delivered the final chill. Her aunt Ophelia, who was mentioned several times in the second season, was finally shown in a glimpse. Wednesday’s grandmother, Hester, actually had Ophelia in captivity all along. We see her sitting in a room with “Wednesday must die” written clearly on the wall, setting the stage for darker events and more complicated Addams Family secrets.

Part 2 of the second season gave Tyler his redemption arc, revealed Thing’s origins and unveiled more Nevermore secrets, but it also left us wondering about Enid’s fate, Aunt Ophelia’s true intentions and Nevermore’s future.

Dominic Arun’s Kalyani Priyadarshan-starrer Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra received praise for everything but one dialogue. Here’s what happened.

Dominic Arun’s Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen-starrer Lokah: Chapter 1—Chandra is receiving praise for everything except one dialogue line in the superhero film. After numerous Kannadigas took to social media to call out Dulquer Salmaan, the film’s producer, and the rest of the team, his production house, Wayfarer Films, issued an apology. The controversy explained. (Also Read: Lokah’s 2 post-credits scenes, star cameos in Kalyani Priyadarshan’s film explained: Here’s how the sequel is set up)

The dialogue from Lokah that offended Kannadigas

In Lokah, Sandy plays the antagonist, Inspector Nachiyappa Gowda, who is openly misogynistic toward everyone, from his mother to his female higher-up. In a scene when his mother asks him to marry a girl from Bengaluru, he refuses, calling Bengaluru girls a slang word for characterless. He says, “I am not saying I won’t get married. But I won’t marry a girl from this city because they’re all s***s.” After the film was released, Kannadigas took to X to criticise Lokah not just for the dialogue but also for the partying and drug usage scenes featuring Naslen’s character Sunny.

On Tuesday evening, Wayfarer Films issued a statement on social media, apologising for hurting the sentiments of Kannadigas. It read, “It has come to our attention that a dialogue delivered by one of the characters in our film Lokah: Chapter One has unintentionally hurt the sentiments of people from Karnataka. The Guest ending explained | What did Ria discover about Fran?

by jummy84 September 1, 2025
written by jummy84

A shocking event at the end of the first episode binds the two characters together, but Fran’s motivations remain unclear throughout. Until we get to the finale, when all is revealed.

But just what happened in that final episode? What did Ria uncover about Fran’s business? And where did we leave each of the central characters?

Read on for everything you need to know about the ending of The Guest.

What did Ria find out about Fran?

Gabrielle Creevy and Eve Myles in The Guest. BBC / Quay Street Productions / Simon Ridgway

Ria found out that she had been recruited as part of a scheme ran by Fran many times before. It involved finding young women, hiring them as cleaners, then promoting them to assistants.

Mike would also be used to bring them in, like he did with both Ria and her predecessor, Anna. His death had been caused simply because he had gone off script while on cocaine.

Once Fran gains the trust of the women and they become reliant on her, she uses them to launder drug money.

The business operated as follows; Fran’s husband Simon shipped in prescription drugs, Fran would sort them and then Richard would sell them to, as Fran said, “bored housewives” and “middle class office workers living for the weekend”. Fran would then send her assistants to Dubai with the cash, and there it would be converted into cryptocurrency.

Each of the assistants would only do it for a short time to earn some money, then move on. Fran saw this as her way of giving back, helping other women move up the economic and social ladder.

However, Fran said Anna had been stealing from them, and so she had been killed, presumably by Simon or Richard.

What did Fran do?

In the finale of The Guest, Ria woke up believing she had killed Fran’s husband, Simon. In actual fact, it later becomes clear that Fran had killed Simon herself.

Simon was abusive, so much so that Fran had to have her own room that she could lock herself in to escape his wrath and his violence. On the night he died, he had been hurting and threatening her when she hit him in self defence and killed him.

She had then drugged Ria and framed her by placing the murder weapon in her hand. Ria went on the run, and managed to find out the truth. However, just as she did so, she was intercepted by Richard, who wanted to stop her from exposing the operation.

She was taken to a secure location where she and Fran finally had it out and opened up to one another. As Ria broke down, Fran told her she saw herself in her. That’s why she gave her the job and the opportunity.

Richard tried to poison Ria, but Fran saved her at the last moment by hitting Richard over the head with a bowl. She freed Ria and allowed her to make a run for it.

Where did we leave Ria and Fran?

Two weeks after Ria escaped, a radio report revealed that Fran was on the run from the police, with their drug operation having been exposed and Fran being implicated in Simon’s murder.

Richard had been caught and was expected to go to jail for, as Sharla said, “the rest of his life”. Ria had been completely exonerated.

Meanwhile, Lee had got himself a job, and Ria was planning a backpacking trip abroad.

At the very end of the series, Ria received a letter containing a cryptocurrency drive that she had found in Richard’s lock-up, containing the proceeds of their operation.

She had taken Fran’s advice when she had said to take what she could. As Ria loaded the device, she saw the amount on the screen tick up into the high hundreds of thousands, and very likely the millions. She smiled, as she knew she had secured a new future for herself.

Is Fifth Harmony Reuniting After Their Jonas Brothers Concert Performance? The Rumors, Explained

by jummy84 September 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Say thank you to the Jonas Brothers, Harmonizers. On August 31, the band brought Fifth Harmony to perform together for the first time in seven years. Well, four out of five of them, at least.

Normani, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui reunited during the Jonas Brothers’ JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown tour concert in Dallas, performing two of their group’s biggest hits, “Work From Home” and “Worth It.” However, the girl group—which originally formed on The X Factor in 2012 and went on hiatus in 2018—was missing one member: Camila Cabello.

Now, many Fifth Harmony fans are convinced this was not a one-off surprise performance, but a hint that the group may be planning a Jonas Brothers-esque resurgence. After all, the siblings disbanded in 2013 due to creative differences before reuniting with their hit single “Sucker” in 2019.

So, why do fans think Fifth Harmony may be returning with or without Camila Cabello? Here’s what we know—and what the streets are saying about it.

Camila Cabello exited the band in 2016.

Prior to the band’s official split, Cabello exited the girl group in 2016. “I started distancing myself from the group vision, and it felt like, you know, they were still really passionate and into that and so, I was just like, ‘I’m not happy here anymore, it doesn’t feel aligned,’” Cabello told Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper in 2024. “I can remember waking up on tour and going to my hotel room at, like, 7 a.m. and going to my garage band and, like, writing songs, cause I didn’t want to do it while everybody was there and I had such a passion that turned into writing.”

The group continued performing without Cabello until 2018, when they announced they were taking a break to “pursue solo endeavors.”

His Chronic Venous Insufficiency Explained – Hollywood Life

by jummy84 August 31, 2025
written by jummy84

Donald Trump has insisted that his health is in good standing, but his physician revealed in July 2025 that he was living with a condition that affects his veins. The president, who had been experiencing swelling in his legs, received his diagnosis that month, and the White House disclosed the report. Now that it’s public knowledge, we have the breakdown of what chronic venous insufficiency is and what it means for Trump below.

What Was Donald Trump’s 2025 Health Diagnosis?

Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, according to a memo released by his physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, in July 2025.

The president underwent diagnostic vascular studies and an ultrasound after experiencing swelling in his legs. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters on July 17, 2025, that some bruising has been visible on the back of Trump’s hand, which she attributed to his “frequent handshaking” with people in addition to his use of aspirin.

“This is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen,” Leavitt insisted.

What Is Chronic Venous Insufficiency?

Chronic venous insufficiency is a health condition that occurs when a person’s veins in the legs struggle to let blood flow, which can be a result of damaged valves in the veins, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine. If left untreated, a patient can have pain, swelling, skin changes, varicose veins and other health issues.

The health condition affects about one in 20 adults.

How Is Trump’s Overall Health?

Dr. Barbarella wrote in the memo, “President Trump remains in excellent health.” So, it appears the president’s chronic venous insufficiency is the only glaring health condition he’s living with.

Elsewhere in the memo, Barbarella indicated, “Importantly, there was no evidence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or arterial disease” in the Republican and that Trump’s lab testing was all “within normal limits.”

There were also “no signs of heart failure, renal impairment, or systemic illness were identified” after Trump underwent an echocardiogram.

Vice President JD Vance, however, spoke with USA Today in August 2025 about Trump’s well being. The VP insisted that Trump is in “incredibly good health,” but he’s ready to step into the presidency “if God forbid, a terrible tragedy happens.”

“He’s got incredible energy, and while most of the people who work around the president of the United States are younger than he is, I think we find that he actually is the last person who goes to sleep, he’s the last person making phone calls at night, and he’s the first person who wakes up and the first person making phone calls in the morning,” Vance said about Trump. “Yes, terrible tragedies happen, but I feel very confident the president of the United States is in good shape, is going to serve out the remainder of his term and do great things for the American people.”

That month, false death rumors about the president circulated on social media, and they were quickly debunked.

How Old Is Trump? His Age Now

Trump is currently 79 years old. He will turn 80 on June 14, 2026.

My Life With the Walter Boys Finale: Jackie’s Big Confession, Explained

by jummy84 August 30, 2025
written by jummy84

[This story contains MAJOR spoilers from the season two finale of Netflix’s My Life with the Walter Boys.]

When Nikki Rodriguez read what happens in the final moments of season two of Netflix’s My Life with the Walter Boys, she recalls thinking, “I don’t know what comes after this!”

The 10-episode season that premiered on Aug. 28, ended with Rodriguez’s Jackie Howard confessing to Cole Walter (Noah LaLonde) that she loved him after spending most of the season trying to avoid him and deny her feelings. However, things continue to be complicated, as the confession is overheard by Alex Walter (Ashby Gentry), whom Jackie rekindled a relationship with and also told she loved.

“That scene is really, really tough. I don’t know what could possibly happen,” Rodriguez tells The Hollywood Reporter.

The series, which has been renewed and is already in production on season three, is sure to continue to heat up Jackie’s love triangle with the Walter brothers, which first ignited in the Netflix series’ season one finale when Rodriguez’s Jackie kissed Cole after a season full of lingering feelings. The only issue was that the kiss happened while Jackie was dating Cole’s brother Alex, who had also drunkenly confessed to loving her.

Returning to New York proved to be an escape for Jackie, but season two sees Jackie return to Silver Falls and the Walter family determined to make things right — that is, until her feelings and perfectionist tendencies make things, well, more complicated. Add in Jackie retuning to 2.0 versions of Alex and Cole — Alex a seemingly more confident guy with the ladies and Cole trying to commit to his education and explore a football coaching position — and she immediately wants to help Alex be his former self and support Cole on his new journey.

“She cares about them both so deeply,” Rodriguez says. “I think she does feel obligated, and she feels like she’s trying to make everything right and do right by everybody. She ends up making a ton of mistakes along the way.”

Jackie also spends the season trying to heal from the tragedy of losing her family and honor her idejntity as a Howard while finding her place in Silver Falls. With the second season now available to binge, Rodriguez spills to THR all about Jackie’s big return to Silver Falls, Jackie and Alex rekindling a relationship, and Jackie’s confused feelings about Cole, below.

***

Season two starts with Jackie returning to Silver Falls, but it’s clear that she is now more than ever trying to figure out who she is and her place within the family, with Alex/Cole and with school. What did you hope to explore with her this time around?

When Jackie comes back to Silver Falls, she’s making a conscious choice to confront her problems, especially the ones she ran away from. In season one, you see Jackie really push away all of her feelings. At the start of season two, you see her make that decision to come back, decide to confront things and try to be almost the perfect version of herself, because she feels guilty. That’s her only way to feel like she could make things right, a little bit. That’s the overall theme throughout the season. You see her deal with with things a little bit more head on with Alex and Cole and with her grief. It comes out in different ways than she expects. It’s about her growing and just taking a little bit more responsibility.

We also see Jackie try to confront and heal from her past tragedy more this season with Jackie still grieving her family and wanting to honor her identity as a Howard. What was it like further exploring that journey with Jackie and how would you say she evolved from the beginning of season two to the end?

In the beginning, right when she comes back, her only goal is to be the new perfect version of Jackie at whatever cost. Throughout the season, she’s torn, because she wants to be that version so much, but she is also this past version of herself and doesn’t want to forget who she was, where she came from, and she doesn’t have any anything in Colorado that ties her to that. It’s a bit like when you want to make everybody else happy, and forget to take care of yourself. It’s important for her to reconnect to that. Episode nine was one of my favorites. When I read that script, I cried. I was really looking forward to that, it’s one of my favorites. I wanted to do that episode justice.

Jackie also returns to a new Alex and Cole. Alex is projecting this seemingly more confident version of himself, and Cole is trying to do well in his studies and find a new way into his passion of football. What do you think Jackie felt as she watched both of them change? Do you feel like she felt obligated to help Alex go back to being like he was and then also support Cole in trying to continue on this path?

She does feel obligated to both, because she cares about both of them so much. When she comes back and sees this different version of Alex, she’s so taken back by that. I think she feels like it’s a little bit her fault. Of course he puts up those walls, and she wants to break them down because she feels so guilty and wants to make things right, but doesn’t want to make those same mistakes that she did in the previous season. So how do you do that, while also honoring everything that you want to do personally? It’s a tough situation.

I don’t know that that many people see Cole in the way that Jackie does, and so when he is struggling with his school and needs her later on, she feels like she she has to be there for him. She cares about them both so deeply. I think she does feel obligated, and she feels like she’s trying to make everything right and do right by everybody. She ends up making a ton of mistakes along the way. She’s trying to be so perfect.

As in season one, the love triangle between Jackie, Cole and Alex continues. It’s clear Jackie is still dealing with feelings for both of them, but acting more on her feelings for Alex and seemingly avoiding her feelings for Cole. Were you surprised Jackie and Alex gave it another go? Why do you think she was willing to pursue things with Alex again?

I was surprised, but it makes sense because Alex makes Jackie feel like she belongs [and] like she has a place. I think that’s really important to her, especially this season. She pushes Cole away because she isn’t ready. Cole makes her feel like she is a little bit out of control. And [because of] that perfectionist side of Jackie, that’s terrifying. I was surprised when I read it, but it also made sense, because I know what Alex is for Jackie and Jackie really, really cares for Alex.

When Alex and Jackie rekindle things, she’s adamant to keep it a secret because it’s complicated. Can you break down more of her thought process on deciding to do that? Why continue being with him if she didn’t want it revealed?

I think the secret is a little bit like the first season. She felt like being with either of them was going to just cause so many problems — and it did! That is probably the root of why she wanted to keep it a secret. She doesn’t want to cause any problems this season. She wants to be problem free, which she isn’t at all, but I think deep down, she knows that she also cares about Cole, and she’s confused and acting a little bit on emotion, as we all do, instead of talking things through.

Meanwhile, Cole is confused why Jackie would rekindle things with his brother and consistently pushed him away. Do you feel like Jackie was being fair to Cole or how did you see her and his relationship this season?

One of the biggest parts of it was the dance. They talk about that earlier in the season, where Jackie is like, “This is my one thing I have. The last time I attended a dance, this huge tragedy happened, and so I just want this to be a symbol of like a new beginning.” This is the only thing that she can control, because there’s so much of her life that she cannot control. She clings on to these things that she has, and it’s really important to her and she opens up to Cole and says that. Everything that happened at the dance? She blames Cole a little bit for taking that away from her when she was so open and honest about how much that meant. That was a turning point for her and almost an excuse to herself that maybe he isn’t totally right for me.

Jackie tells Alex she loves him but we also hear her admit she loves Cole in the finale. Do you think she’s truly in love with both of them?

I do, I really do. I do think that she does love both. I think it’s two different types of love and I think that it is so real and relatable. You feel different ways for different people, but they’re all valid. For Jackie, it’s like loving someone so much, and then not understanding why you’re so drawn to somebody else, and you have such passion for somebody else, but just wanting to both the best for both people. So I do think she does truly love both, just in a totally different way.

From left: Ellie O’Brien as Grace and Rodriguez.

Courtesy of Netflix

We also see Jackie reveal her love for Cole, only for Alex to hear that confession as well. Do you see Jackie and Cole being able to be in a happy relationship or do they both need still grow individually? Will Alex always make Jackie hesitant to pursue things with Cole?

That’s a tough one. That scene is really, really tough. I don’t know what could possibly happen, but I think that whatever happens, Jackie’s always going to want to make sure that everybody involved is happy and okay, because she puts everybody else first. When I read that, I was like, “I don’t know what comes after this!”

Season one ended with Jackie not choosing either one and leaving Silver Falls. This season ends with Jackie being in love with both Cole and Alex, having now confessed to both. For season three, do you envision Jackie being able to decide where her heart truly lies, or do you envision it continuing to be a struggle for her to do so and not choosing either one?

I genuinely have no idea. What’s most important for Jackie, I think, is to truly follow her heart and also never forget who she is and what’s important to her and never forget about her goals and ambitions. Whatever Jackie decides to do, I’m going to support.

I know you can’t reveal anything for season three, but was there anything you’re hoping to explore with Jackie?

I just want to watch her grow and handle her problems and figure out who she is. Growing up is complicated, so just exploring that to the best of her ability… I’m just excited to see where she goes!

The Thursday Murder Club ending explained: Who is the killer?

by jummy84 August 29, 2025
written by jummy84

Several characters soon fall under suspicion, including Tony’s shady former business partner Ian Ventham (David Tennant) and former employee Bogdan (Henry Lloyd-Hughes), and it doesn’t take long until the gang have infiltrated the investigation with help from junior cop Donna De Freitas (Naomi Ackie), much to the annoyance of her superior DCI Chris Hudson (Daniel Mays).

Various twists and turns ensue as the story unfolds and, while the film is mostly faithful to the book, there have been a few alterations including to the motives behind the murder.

Want to know more? Read on to have The Thursday Murder Club ending explained, along with full details of what’s been changed from the novel.

The Thursday Murder Club ending explained: Who killed the first victim, Tony Curran?

With the club already chasing several leads, things really take a turn at the protest against Ian Ventham’s continued developments and his plans to dig up the graveyard.

Ian is facing down the protestors when he suddenly collapses and is soon afterwards pronounced dead at the scene – with the probable cause of death given as an overdose of Fentanyl.

Shortly afterwards – with the gang realising they are all suspects – Elizabeth mentions the photo that was found at Tony’s murder scene, which saw him standing alongside a notorious criminal by the name of Bobby Tanner and a man who appears to be Jason Ritchie, Ron’s son (although she withholds this information from the others).

She explains that Tanner had been joint owner of Cooper’s Chase along with Tony and Ian – who are of course both now dead – and is therefore now the only surviving owner, with the gang agreeing to try and track him down.

When Elizabeth returns to her apartment, she finds that Bogdan (who she had previously introduced herself to as Marina, hoping to get information from him) is there playing chess with her husband Stephen – and that he has found out the truth about her identity. He also says he has something he wants to show her that night in the cemetery.

That night, Elizabeth meets Bogdan as promised and he shows her something very suspicious he’d found while digging up the graveyard: bones that had been placed on top of a coffin several years earlier, appearing to show evidence of someone trying to hide a body.

The Thursday Murder Club. Netflix

The following evening – after the remains have been dug up and Elizabeth and the gang get a dressing down from Chris for continuing to interfere in police matters – Elizabeth notices an intruder in her apartment who has mysteriously left flowers along with card that reads “back off”.

Then, the next morning, Donna tells her that the bones belonged to a man named Peter Mercer, which instantly prompts Elizabeth to take her to see former Thursday Murder Club member Penny (who is now in a coma) and her husband John.

Later, while Chris is questioning Jason – who has been arrested on suspicion of Terry’s murder – the gang (minus Elizabeth) arrive in his office to derail the interview, and Jason admits that the real reason he had been cagey was that he was with Ian’s wife at the time of the murder – and that they’d been having an affair. That rules him out as a suspect and he walks free.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth works out where the flowers she’d been sent had come from and is thus able to track down the sender: Bobby Tanner himself. She takes Donna with her to visit him at his florist business, and they question him – asking him directly if he’d had Tony and Ian murdered to get their shares at Cooper’s Chase. He denies it and says he is looking to sell the land as fast as he can.

During their discussion, one of Bobby’s workers come down and explains how he’s just picked up “another three Polish workers in Amsterdam” and had taken their passports.

Turns out, Tony and Bobby had been engaging in a practice of bringing in people to work illegally for their businesses and keeping their passports from them. This information appears to make things click for Elizabeth, who instructs all the rest of the gang – and the police – to rush back to her apartment as soon as possible.

All this time, Bogdan has been playing chess with Stephen again, with the latter beginning to question him about Tony’s murder – saying that he believes it was Bogdan himself who had committed the crime.

Bogdan calls him clever and reluctantly admits to his crime, saying it was an accident – that he had no intention of killing Tony and that he had merely been trying to get his passport back.

After this confession, Stephen succumbs to one of his bouts of memory loss, and Bogdan goes to make him a cup of tea, appearing to briefly toy with spiking it with some nearby medication. Elizabeth and co arrive back just after Stephen has taken a sip, and they stop Bogdan from escaping as he becomes aware of what is going on.

Thankfully, Joyce realises that Stephen hasn’t been poisoned, and furthermore that, since Stephen records all his chess games, Bogdan’s confession is on tape.

Faced with this knowledge, Bogdan reiterates that it was an accident, and that he had killed Tony in self-defence when the latter had lashed out after refusing to give his passport back. He also confirms that he didn’t poison Stephen, who he considers as a friend.

Who killed Ian Ventham and Peter Mercer in The Thursday Murder Club?

While that clarifies what had happened to Tony, it leaves things murky as to the murder of Ian – whose death now looks to be unconnected to Tony’s – and the remains of Peter Mercer.

While the rest of the gang are watching Jason competing on Dancing on Ice, Elizabeth decides to look back at previous files concerning the latter and comes across some very interesting information, which she then takes to her old friend John – who remains at Penny’s bedside.

She reveals that the file – which Penny had suspiciously never suggested as one of the cold cases during her days on the Thursday Murder Club – concerns a previous case in which Mercer’s girlfriend had been killed by a supposed masked intruder. Only, there had been no intruder – it was actually Peter himself who had killed her, and he had gotten away with it.

Looking at the photos, Elizabeth realised that, knowing Peter was guilty, Penny had taken matters into her own hands, killing him and hiding his body at the cemetery with John’s help. It was those bones that Bogdan had dug up all these years later.

John admits that Elizabeth’s theory is right, and also that he had killed Ian Ventham using a massive dose of Fentanyl to stop the grave from being dug up and exposing the crime, protecting his beloved wife.

What happens to John in The Thursday Murder Club?

Elizabeth admits that she’ll have to tell the police but agrees to give John a bit of time with Penny first, seeming to realise that John will use that time to apply both himself and his wife with a fatal dose of the remaining Fentanyl.

We then flash forward to Ibrahim delivering a eulogy at their funeral, saying: “Sometimes, good people do bad things. But what John did, he did for love. For the love of Penny. And their enduring love will span time and space, dancing into the stars together. We shall miss them, and we shall remember them always.”

How does the end of The Thursday Murder Club film differ from the book?

Although showing many of the same events, the film actually differs from the book in quite a lot of key ways – especially concerning the plot around the murder of Tony Curran.

There’s a whole plot involving Tony’s ties to drugs and organised crime – including a character named Turkish Gianni, the murder of a taxi driver, £100k in stolen cash and a trip to Cyprus – that is not featured in the film.

Meanwhile, although Bogdan was the killer in both the film and book, his role is significantly changed.

The whole passport scheme is a new plot line for the film, with the motive for murder in the book having been tied to the fact he had stolen £100k of Tony’s money many years ago after shooting Gianni in retribution for his own best friend being shot to cover up Tony’s murder of a taxi driver many years earlier.

He had been waiting for a chance to kill Tony ever since to complete his revenge, and does so while helping him install a new security system.

As for the plot involving Ian Ventham and Peter Mercer (named Peter Weber in the book), this is also altered, albeit less dramatically. Aspects of the story involving characters called Gordon and Karen Playfair and an increased role for Father Mackie are cut, making the version of the story in the film rather more streamlined.

Speaking about the changes to his original plot on The Rest Is Entertainment back in February, Osman explained: “There were certain people who part of their deal would be, ‘You will have complete creative control over the whole process, you can write it,’ which I didn’t want to do.

“With Amblin and Spielberg, when they came in, they said, ‘It’s definitely going to be in England, we’ll give you that assurance, but someone else is going to write it.'”

He added: “The plot, as I understand it, for The Thursday Murder Club movie is based on the first book but it’s not entirely the same, because you have to change things, is the truth,” he said.

“To have me looking over their shoulder every five seconds telling them that they couldn’t do this or they couldn’t do that I think would be hard.”

The Thursday Murder Club is now playing in select UK cinemas and will stream on Netflix from Thursday 28th August 2025. Discover a world of crime & mystery with Sky Essential TV for just £15 a month.

Travis Kelce’s American Eagle Collection: The Controversy (and Taylor Swift Theories), Explained

by jummy84 August 28, 2025
written by jummy84

Travis Kelce has some big news! He just dropped a new collab with American Eagle! Why, what did you think we were talking about? Kidding, kidding.

In all seriousness, though, Kelce and Taylor Swift’s engagement era is not the only big thing happening for the NFL player right now. Which is not to say we don’t see some of Swift’s influence in Kelce’s latest project.

American Eagle

On August 27, a day after the engagement announcement, AE announced the upcoming launch of AE x Tru Kolors by Travis Kelce. Tru Kolors is Kelce’s sportswear and lifestyle brand, which he first launched in 2019. The collaboration with American Eagle will be a limited-edition collection available until September 24. Said Kelce in the press release, “I want everyone to feel like there is something for them in the collection, something they can feel good in and make their own. I’m excited for it to finally be out in the world.” The campaign stars some of Kelce’s fellow elite athletes: Anna Frey, Azzi Fudd, Drew Allar, Jeremiah Smith, Kiyan Anthony, and Suni Lee.

Kelce also posted an ad for the collection on his personal Instagram. The video shows Kelce parking a fancy green sports car and walking into a gym while wearing a deep V-neck cable-knit sweater. Especially with the stripe accents, Kelce’s pullover in this ad looks remarkably similar to a certain chunky cable-knit cardigan that Swift wore in her “Cardigan” music video. It wouldn’t be the craziest thing in the world to imagine that Kelce got some sartorial inspiration from his fiancée.

‘Skate’ release date, gameplay, free to play, early access explained

by jummy84 August 27, 2025
written by jummy84

Skate finally has a release date, albeit in Early Access form. The game has had a long road to release, being announced during the pandemic and receiving a heap of player feedback during closed tests. But now the launch is finally upon us.

Here is a breakdown of everything you need to know about the Skate release date, its gameplay, and its business model.

‘Skate’ release date

Skate will release on September 16, 2025, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC. This will be an early access release, so the full scope of the game’s content won’t be available, and several key features won’t be added until post-launch seasonal updates.

This includes beloved features like Darksliders and Impossible tricks. Additionally, replay editor improvements will also arrive with Season 2 and Season 3, in addition to party voice chat.

‘Skate’ gameplay

Skate‘s gameplay was officially unveiled in the release date trailer. The game features the return of the Flick-It System, which has been rebuilt for the modern generation in Frostbite, with new tricks added in.

The Skatepedia also offers a one-stop guide to tricks, skills, and tips to help players get acquainted with the gameplay or revisit any tutorials they have missed.

What does Early Access mean for ‘Skate’?

Early Access for Skate means that the game is launching without its full range of features or finalised visuals. The plan is to continue building the game out with the community across the in-game seasons so EA and Full Circle can respond to feedback in an agile way and tackle the most important issues first.

This is an unusual release strategy for EA, which rarely ever utilises Early Access. However, it makes sense for the game as a full release is likely still at least a year or two away.

Will ‘Skate’ be free to play?

Skate will be completely free to play, so you can hop in for no upfront fee. The catch is that the game will have microtransactions, but these will all be cosmetic, and you won’t be able to buy power items or gear to make performing tricks easier.

Skate releases on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC on September 16, 2025.

His Frontotemporal Dementia Battle Explained – Hollywood Life

Bruce Willis is one of the most beloved and celebrated actors in film and television history. He got his start on the legendary 1980s comedy drama Moonlighting, before landing a breakthrough film role in 1988’s Die Hard. He showcased his comedy chops in the Look Who’s Talking series, and continued his rise as an action star with the first two Die Hard sequels. After a dip in his career, he returned to the public eye thanks to Pulp Fiction, as well as 12 Monkeys, The Fifth Element, Armageddon, and The Sixth Sense. In the 2000s and 2010s, he enjoyed success as an action star (The Expendables, Red) and as a dramatic/comedic actor (Looper, Moonrise Kingdom.) Sadly, in the 2020s, his health began to decline, and his career began to frazzle, with him appearing more frequently in lower-budget films.

Sadly, Bruce’s career came to a close in 2022 when his family made the heartbreaking announcement: he had been diagnosed with aphasia, a disorder affecting his cognitive abilities. “As a result of this and with much consideration, Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him,” read a statement shared by his family on social media: wife, Emma Heming Willis, ex-wife Demi Moore, and his daughters, Rumer Willis, Tallulah Willis, Scout Willis, Mabel Willis, and Evelyn Willis.

Sadly, a year after the first announcement, the family gave an update: Bruce had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. “Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis,” the family wrote.

Despite this news, Bruce continued to remain in good spirits. He celebrated his 68th birthday in 2023 with his family, a bittersweet moment to some knowing his struggles. As he continues to live his life to its fullest, here’s what we know about his condition.

Bruce Willis Diagnosed With Frontotemporal Dementia Diagnosis

Bruce Willis’ family first announced he was diagnosed with aphasia on Mar. 30, 2022, in a post that was shared amongst all their social media accounts. “To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family, we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities,” the statement read. “As a result of this and with much consideration, Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”

“This is a really challenging time for our family, and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion, and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him. As Bruce always says, ‘Live it up,’ and together we plan to do just that,” the statement concluded. It was signed by Bruce’s daughters – Rumer, Tallulah, Scout, Mabel, and Evelyn Willis – and his wife, Emma Hemming, and ex-wife, Demi Moore.

Aphasia is “a disorder that affects how you communicate,” per the Mayo Clinic. “It can impact your speech, as well as the way you write and understand both spoken and written language.” The disorder can be a side-effect of a stroke or a traumatic brain injury. It can also come on gradually due to a slow-growing brain tumor or a “disease that causes progressive, permanent damage (degenerative).”

The condition sees a person speak in short or incomplete sentences, substitute one for another or one sound for another, have difficulty finding words, and struggle to understand what they’ve read.

Bruce’s friends and peers paid tribute to him following this announcement. “Bruce and I became good friends when we shared 2 of our biggest hits together, Pulp Fiction and Look Who’s Talking,” wrote John Travolta. “Years later, he said to me, ‘John, I just want you to know that when something good happens to you, I feel like it’s happening to me.’ That’s how generous a soul he is. I love you, Bruce.”

“It’s been difficult to find the right words for someone I’ve always looked up to—first on the big screen, and then by some wild stroke of luck, in person,” wrote Haley Joel Osment, who starred alongside Bruce in The Sixth Sense. “He’s a true legend who has enriched all of our lives with a singular career that spans nearly half a century. I am so grateful for what I got to witness firsthand, and for the enormous body of work he built for us to enjoy for years and years to come. I just wanted to express the respect and deep admiration I have for Bruce and his family as they move forward with the courage and high spirits that have always defined them.”

Following the announcement, Bruce enjoyed his life with the occasional public sighting. However, in February 2023, his family announced that his condition had worsened.

“As a family, we wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for the outpouring of love and compassion for Bruce over the past ten months. Your generosity of spirit has been overwhelming, and we are tremendously grateful for it. For your kindness, and because we know you love Bruce as much as we do, we wanted to give you an update,” the family wrote in a statement published on the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration website.

“Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed, and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD),” the statement continued. “Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.”

“Bruce always believed in using his voice in the world to help others,” the statement read, “and to raise awareness about important issues both publicly and privately. We know in our hearts that – if he could today — he would want to respond by bringing global attention and a connectedness with those who are also dealing with this debilitating disease and how it impacts so many individuals and their families.”

“Bruce has always found joy in life – and has helped everyone he knows to do the same. It has meant the world to see that sense of care echoed back to him and to all of us. We have been so moved by the love you have all shared for our dear husband, father, and friend during this difficult time. Your continued compassion, understanding, and respect will enable us to help Bruce live as full a life as possible,” the statement concluded. It was signed by his family.

What Is Frontotemporal Dementia?

Frontotemporal dementia, according to the Mayo Clinic, is an “umbrella term for a group of brain disorders that primarily affect the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain.” Some of the side effects listed include “Increasing difficulty in using and understanding written and spoken language, such as having trouble finding the right word to use in speech or naming objects,” “no longer knowing word meanings,” and “no longer knowing word meanings.”

“FTD is a cruel disease that many of us have never heard of and can strike anyone,” Bruce’s family wrote in their 2023 statement. “For people under 60, FTD is the most common form of dementia, and because getting the diagnosis can take years, FTD is likely much more prevalent than we know. Today there are no treatments for the disease, a reality that we hope can change in the years ahead. As Bruce’s condition advances, we hope that any media attention can be focused on shining a light on this disease that needs far more awareness and research. ”

“Ours is just one family with a loved one who suffers from FTD, and we encourage others facing it to seek out the wealth of information and support available through AFTD (@theaftd, theaftd.org). And for those of you who have been fortunate enough to not have any personal experience with FTD, we hope that you will take the time to learn about it and support AFTD’s mission in whatever way you can.”

How Long Has Bruce Willis Been Sick?

In the case of Bruce, there were some suspicions that he was struggling with the condition years before the announcement. Mike Burns, director of Out of Death, wrote in an email about how Bruce’s role needed to be reduced. “We also need to abbreviate his dialogue a bit so that there are no monologues, etc,” he wrote, per the Los Angeles Times.

The Los Angeles Times also reported that “those who have worked with the elder Willis on his recent films, the actor has been exhibiting signs of decline in recent years. In interviews with The Times this month, nearly two dozen people who were on set with the actor expressed concern about Willis’ well-being.” The unnamed individuals “questioned whether the actor was fully aware of his surroundings on set,” how he “grappled with his loss of mental acuity,” and had an “inability to remember his dialogue.”

Lala Kent, who appeared in Hard Kill, recounted an incident. “I’m supposed to think my life is about to end, and then my dad steps in to save the day,” Kent told the Times. Bruce was supposed to deliver a line that cued Kent to duck before he fired his gun at a villain.

Bruce didn’t and fired the prop gun before saying the line. “Because my back was to him, I wasn’t aware of what was happening behind me. But the first time, it was like, ‘No big deal, let’s reset,’” she said. The same thing reportedly happened on a second and third take, per the Los Angeles Times (a crew member stressed that they always made sure everyone was safe and not in the line of fire.) Randall Emmett, Kent’s ex and producer on the film, denied this incident happened, as did the film’s armorer.

In a May 2023 essay for Vogue, Tallulah opened up about realizing her dad’s mental state had changed years before learning of his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis. When she was a teenager (she was 29 when she shared the personal essay), she noticed her dad seem uninterested in her and sometimes generally unresponsive to what was going on around him. She and her family originally blamed it on “Hollywood hearing loss.”

However, she began to take things to heart and figured the actor no longer cared about her since he started a new family with Emma. “Later, that unresponsiveness broadened, and I sometimes took it personally,” she recalled. “He had had two babies with my stepmother, Emma Heming Willis, and I thought he’d lost interest in me. Though this couldn’t have been further from the truth, my adolescent brain tortured itself with some faulty math: I’m not beautiful enough for my mother, I’m not interesting enough for my father.”

How Is Bruce Willis Doing Today?

On March 19, 2023, Bruce Willis turned 68. He did so while surrounded by his loved ones. In a video shared on Demi Moore’s Instagram, his family sang “Happy Birthday” to him. The Die Hard actor was all smiles while conducting this chorus. “Just like that,” he said. He even pulled a fake out when it came time to blow out his birthday candle.

“So today is my husband’s birthday. I have started the morning by crying, as you can see by my swollen eyes and snotty nose,” commented Bruce’s wife Emma in a video posted to her Instagram. “I just think it’s important that you see all sides of this. I always get this message, or people tell me, ‘Oh, you’re so strong, I don’t know how you do it.’ I’m not given a choice. I wish I was. But I’m also raising two kids in this, so sometimes in our lives, we have to put our big girl panties on and get to it, and that’s what I’m doing. But I do have times of sadness every day, grief every day, and I’m really feeling it today on his birthday.”

In November 2023, Moonlighting creator Glenn Gordon Caron claimed that Bruce is “not totally verbal” anymore during an interview with the New York Post.

“He used to be a voracious reader — he didn’t want anyone to know that — and he’s not reading now,” Glenn said. “All those language skills are no longer available to him, and yet he’s still Bruce.”

While Bruce navigates the tough diagnosis, his family has been extremely supportive and unwavering by his side. On Thanksgiving later that month, Scout shared a sweet video sitting next to her father while he held her hand. The rare social media appearance showed the deep love the Willis family has for one another.

In August 2025, Bruce and Emma are opening up about his health during an ABC special.
