Event Buyers Live 2025: Everything you need to know – what to expect and how to apply

by jummy84 October 31, 2025
written by jummy84

There are just three days to go until the application window to attend Event Buyers Live (EBL) closes on October 31.

The hosted buyer event returns to Carden Park, Cheshire, from November 10-12 with a packed programme of unrivalled networking, relatable content, and productive pre-arranged supplier meetings.

EBL25 will be the place to do business, focus, and plan for 2026 and beyond. But if you’re still wondering whether EBL is for you, here’s our rundown on what you can expect.

  • EBL will welcome only 100 of the live event industry’s most influential organisers and 48 respected event suppliers for pre-arranged face-to-face meetings. Business sits at the heart of the event.
  • If you want to expand your contacts and network, the following organisers are just a handful of those who have signed up to attend: Far and Beyond, A.S.O UK, LS Events, Euro 2028, Live Nation, Imagination, Hyve Group, Superstruct, RunThrough, CarFest, TFI Lodestar, The Jockey Club, MainStage, The Great Run Company, and RG Live.
  • If you’re in charge of budgets, you like benchmarking different services and products, and you want to forge genuine relationships with other event professionals, EBL is for you.
  • The organising team is supported by a team of industry ambassadors who are there to help you. Don’t feel daunted walking into a room full of strangers. We’ll introduce you to a “buddy” and help you to familiarise yourself with the venue.
  • Discuss procurement and project requirements in pre-arranged one-on-one meetings with event suppliers. Nail your supply chain before Christmas.
  • EBL is not an exhibition. The format is intense yet informal. Experience it once and you’ll know exactly what we mean.
  • This year’s event features some new content sessions. The “How” sessions demonstrate what can be achieved when you collaborate with a supplier or freelancer. For example, learn how Victorious Festival shaved almost £30,000 off its fuel bill this year by working with its power provider.
  • Sustainability, site management, accessibility, Zone Ex, and adverse weather planning are just some of the topics being discussed in dedicated roundtables.
  • When you’re on site, how often do you say that it’s important to look out for others? Well, now you can with our special training and development programme. We have sessions dedicated to harm reduction and welfare, event control and the role you play, and neurodivergence.
  • Take part in CPR and defibrillator training with the British Heart Foundation.
  • Our content takes place in a small-group setting. Expertly hosted. All sessions are designed for you to openly share experiences and take home key advice.
  • EBL is working with EventWell to provide a supervised and fully-functioning mental wellness hub and quiet room.
  • Have some fun and do some good. Bid for some great prizes in our live auction and help us to raise vital funds for British Heart Foundation.
  • Don’t worry about a post-lunch carb coma – join one of our NetWalks. Meet someone new whilst getting some steps in.
  • What do you want to get out of attending EBL? Apply now, tell us your preferences and we’ll create a personalised itinerary just for you. An entire schedule based on the things you tell us – the people you want to meet and the content you don’t want to miss.

Still unsure? Neil Fagg, founder of EBL, explains why you should attend EBL: “There’s a lot of excitement for EBL25. The networking is genuine, the pre-arranged meetings are authentic, the conversations are frank, and the content sessions are open. We do have a couple of surprises up our sleeve that are designed to give all our guests something to talk about. So if you would like to find out what they are, apply now. You’ve got until Friday to join our #100club.”

Exclusive: Sonja Weißer Reveals What to Expect From Maxton Hall Season 2, Teases Season 3

by jummy84 October 23, 2025
written by jummy84

After the breakout success of the first season, the elite boarding school drama Maxton Hall: The World Between Us is returning with its much-anticipated second season. Ahead of its release, we caught up with Sonja Weißer, who plays Lydia Beaufort, the ambitious twin sister of the lead character, James Beaufort (Damian Hardung). This season, Lydia continues to navigate personal struggles while chasing her ambitions and fighting to be taken seriously in a world that often dismisses her dreams.
Played with quiet strength, Sonja’s Lydia emerged in Season 1 as more than a side character, ending the season in turmoil after her affair with teacher Mr Sutton and an unexpected pregnancy came to light. As season 2 expands her storyline, we asked Sonja whether she drew on any personal experience to portray Lydia’s evolution.

She answers, “I can relate to it as a woman in this society. I can see myself in Lydia in moments where she has to adapt to patriarchal structures and has to try to break out of them. I can identify with that, and I think almost every woman can. She’s evolving, she’s getting braver, she’s trying to have her own way and to break out of the structures that she was brought up in.”

The German show is based on the 2018 novel titled Save Me by Mona Kasten and follows the collision between Ruby Bell (Harriet Herbig-Matten), a hardworking scholarship student with dreams of getting into Oxford, and James Beaufort, the arrogant heir to a wealthy family empire. When Ruby accidentally uncovers Lydia’s affair with their teacher Graham Sutton, she is thrust into the ruthless world of privilege, secrets, and manipulation.

Sonja continues, “Lydia is a great character, she is a great woman. I’m very pleased to play her because I think she has a lot of nuances to her. She has such a fierce personality, but at the same time, she’s very loyal and also passionate and creative. What I’m also excited about is the friendship that she’s building up with Ruby, Lin (Andrea Guo) and Ember (Runa Greiner). And that was very fun to play as well because we haven’t seen her with any friends yet. And she was always quite alone or with her brother. So, to explore this new formation for Lydia was very exciting, and I’m very pleased for everybody to see that.”

Sonja

Talking about some of her memorable moments from the sets, she continues, “A great day we had was when we shot a scene with the girls where he released sky lanterns. That was Harriet’s birthday as well. We were outside on a summer day, and there was a great energy. I loved filming with those girls because before I was just filming with boys, which was fine too. But that was a nice energy we had together.”

As the new season builds toward bigger emotional stakes and deeper character arcs, Lydia finds herself at the centre of key turning points that will shape what comes next.

When asked about the possibility of a third season, she answers, “I wish I could tell you, but I think you will be satisfied with watching the whole of season two and everything that’s coming up with it. And for season three, we can say that it’s going to happen. When it’s going to happen, I sadly cannot tell. I don’t know, but I can be excited for it.”
She also told the audience what to expect from season 2. “You can expect a lot of dark emotions, a lot of drama, a lot of trust that is getting broken, grieving, but new friendships, new spotlight on other characters, and just exploring the conflicts and the different protagonists even deeper.”

Maxton Hall season 2 will return on Prime Video starting November 7.

‘Didn’t Expect This’: Diljit Dosanjh Faces Backlash For ‘Cheap’ ‘Kufar’ Moves; Singer Responds

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Diljit Dosanjh, the global music icon and beloved actor, has found himself at the center of an unexpected controversy. Fresh off the monumental success of his album Ghost, the artist is facing a wave of sharp criticism for his latest music video, “Kufar,” which co-stars former Miss World, Manushi Chhillar. While the song is climbing the charts, a significant portion of his fanbase has taken to social media to “troll” the star, labeling the video’s dance steps as “vulgar,” “cheap,” and “obscene.”

The song, a standout track from the Ghost album, dropped recently and immediately garnered massive attention, not only for its catchy tune but also for the sizzling chemistry between Dosanjh and Chhillar. The video features the two in a stylish, intimate setting, engaging in choreography that is a departure from Diljit’s more conservative public persona. Almost immediately, the comment sections on YouTube and Instagram became a battleground, splitting his audience into two distinct camps.

On one side, thousands of fans are celebrating the song, praising its international “vibe” and addictive quality. Comments like, “Song on loop,” “What a vibe,” and “Their chemistry is just wow,” flooded the release. Manushi Chhillar’s glamorous appearance also received widespread appreciation. For this segment of the audience, “Kufar” is another successful experiment from an artist who is fearlessly blending his Punjabi roots with global music trends, similar to his acclaimed performances at Coachella.

However, a vocal and seemingly betrayed segment of his audience has expressed profound disappointment. These viewers, many of whom have followed Diljit since his early days, feel the video’s intimate choreography crosses a line. The backlash is pointed, with users deploying strong language to voice their disapproval. “This is too vulgar,” one user commented, while another stated, “Very cheap… so much vulgarity.”

The criticism appears to stem from a perceived clash with the “humble” and “decent” image that Diljit Dosanjh has carefully cultivated over the years. Fans felt the video was a step too far, with one writing, “Diljit paaji, didn’t expect this from you.” Another user lamented what they see as a decline in his content quality, commenting, “He’s lost his mind… He used to be so humble…” This sentiment suggests a feeling of betrayal, as if their idol has “sold out” his wholesome image for mainstream, edgy success.

This controversy highlights the precarious tightrope Diljit Dosanjh walks. As his stardom has exploded internationally, his artistic expression has evolved. Yet, his core fanbase, which fell in love with his down-to-earth personality and more traditional portrayals, expects a certain code of conduct. The “Kufar” video seems to have directly challenged those expectations.

The timing of the video’s release is also significant. Dosanjh and Chhillar are set to star opposite each other in the highly anticipated upcoming Punjabi film, Jatt & Juliet 3. The “Kufar” video was likely intended to build hype and showcase their on-screen chemistry ahead of the film’s release. While it has certainly generated buzz, it has also sparked a debate about the star’s evolving brand.

As Diljit Dosanjh continues to conquer new global arenas, from The Tonight Show to mainstream Bollywood, “Kufar” serves as a stark reminder of the cultural and personal expectations tied to his fame. The song is undeniably a musical hit, but the debate it has ignited proves that for his fans, Diljit is more than just a musician — he’s a cultural icon, and they are holding him accountable for the image he projects.

Red Carpet Predictions: Glamour We Expect at 70th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2025 With Gujarat Tourism

by jummy84 October 5, 2025
written by jummy84

The countdown to the 70th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2025 With Gujarat Tourism begins. It is scheduled to take place at the EKA Arena in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on October 11, 2025. Now, the excitement isn’t just about who will take home the coveted trophies but also what fashion statements will dominate the red carpet. Like every year, one can expect a tapestry of fashionable looks. But this is Filmfare we are talking about! So, we can anticipate a blend of tradition and trendsetting glamour. Of course, this year promises to be no different, with designers and celebrities gearing up to set new fashion benchmarks.

Fashion expectations

In 2025, we have seen a revival of Y2K fashion. Futuristic, metallic and bright aesthetics with bold, hyper-feminine elements have come to greet us once again. But can we expect the same at the Filmfare red carpet this year? Definitely. We have seen some stunning looks at the recent Filmfare Glamour & Style Awards 2025 as well. If we are to take them as examples, one can expect a blend of elegance with drama. Ananya Panday’s glittering body-hugging gown with intricate side cut-out detailing had taken the red carpet by storm. Tamannaah Bhatia had worn an interesting wine-coloured A-line dress. We can expect all of this and more from the stars!

With the youth fixating on woke culture, we are also expecting to witness an increased emphasis on sustainable fashion as more celebrities embrace eco-friendly fabric and ethical craftsmanship. Traditional silhouettes will be reimagined with contemporary cuts, bold colour palettes and innovative draping techniques. Interestingly, one cannot forget the rich sarees and traditional ensembles that can be expected at the Filmfare Awards. From the yesteryear actresses like Sharmila Tagore, Jaya Bachchan, Rekha and more to the newer generation, including Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt, rich brocades and intricate hand-embroidery to sleek, tailored sarees have always stolen the spotlight. Think of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s regal red saree for Filmfare Awards 2024, or her sparkling silver saree for Filmfare OTT Awards 2024. Alia Bhatt’s contemporary saree from Anamika Khanna, which she donned at Filmfare Awards 2024 was nothing short of beautiful.

Filmfare

Celebrity-designer pairings

A major highlight will be the much-anticipated collaborations between leading Bollywood stars and their favourite designers. Much like Shah Rukh Khan and Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s surprise MET Gala 2025 collaboration, one can expect Bollywood’s finest to turn up in ensembles from their favourite designers at the Filmfare Awards 2025 too.

Iconic looks to watch

The performers, including Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Kriti Sanon are set to dazzle in stylish avatars. The hosts, including Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Maniesh Paul are also expected to be dapper and fashionable. This year, the spotlight could also be on statement accessories like oversized earrings, embellished clutches and bold footwear. One can expect red carpet staples like sequins and velvet to make a comeback but with unexpected twists. Overall, the 70th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2025 With Gujarat Tourism will be a celebration of creativity and style. Watch out for the glamour and more!

What to Expect Based on Last Year

by jummy84 October 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Data can be incredibly helpful, especially when you’re planning the ultimate October Prime Day 2025 beauty haul.

Fortunately, we dug through the E! archives to find some of the hottest beauty and skincare products that were on sale during last year’s event. And while we can’t say for certain that these exact items will be discounted again next week, we definitely hope they will be!

In 2024, fan-favorite products including COSRX Snail Mucin, Laneige Lip Sleeping Masks, ColorWow hair care, Clinique lipstick, GrandeLASH serum, and so much more were majorly discounted during Amazon’s fall deals event.

The markdowns were real—and the shopping was so worth it. And because we think this year will be just as good we rounded up a bunch of those past deals to give you a refresher on what to look out for this time around.

Plus, many of these beloved products are already on sale ahead of Prime Day. So, why wait? With beauty deals this good popping up early, now’s the perfect time to start adding to cart.

Taylor Swift Wore the Last Manicure We’d Expect for ‘Showgirl’ Release Day

by jummy84 October 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Still, something about this manicure feels very…un-Taylor? As a longtime Swiftie, I can’t recall ever seeing her in classic French tips before—and definitely never in this thick, high-contrast, early-aughts style. Granted, this is the first time that she’s taken her ring on a media circuit, so from a color standpoint, it makes sense that she’d want to give her new hardware the spotlight. And with the gaudy Showgirl era and her real-life fiancée era happening simultaneously, Swift seems to be keeping us on our toes.

In another appearance on UK radio show Heart Breakfast, Swift shared the full story of her engagement ring. According to Swift, she mentioned jewelry designer Kindred Lubeck to Kelce a full year-and-a-half before their engagement. “When I saw the ring, I was like, ‘I know who made that!’” She said. “I didn’t know what I would want, but he did, somehow.”

Emmys 2025: What to Expect From Television’s Biggest Night
Hollywood

Emmys 2025: What to Expect From Television’s Biggest Night

by jummy84 September 13, 2025
written by jummy84

The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards are just around the corner, set to take place on September 14, 2025, and Hollywood is buzzing with excitement. Television’s biggest night is not only about celebrating outstanding performances and groundbreaking shows, but also about setting the tone for where the industry is heading next. With new rules in place and a wave of fresh nominees, the Emmys this year promise to be one of the most unpredictable ceremonies in recent memory.

One of the biggest storylines leading up to the show has been the rule changes implemented by the Television Academy. Directors can now submit multiple episodes for consideration as long as they are from different programs, a shift designed to acknowledge the growing demand for multi-genre talent. Another key update is the clarification around guest performance eligibility. Actors nominated in lead or supporting categories for a series can no longer be re-submitted as “guests” in the same show, a move that aims to make the playing field more fair. These adjustments reflect the evolving nature of television in an era dominated by streaming, short-form series, and anthology storytelling.

As for the nominees, the field is as diverse and competitive as ever. Streaming platforms continue to dominate, with Netflix, HBO, and Apple TV+ each securing a heavy slate of nominations. Fan-favorite dramas like Succession and The Crown are once again in the spotlight, while breakout newcomers such as The Last of Us and Shōgun are making strong cases for the big wins. On the comedy side, Abbott Elementary and Ted Lasso are expected to face off once again, while fresh contenders like Only Murders in the Building keep things interesting.

The acting categories are equally stacked, with seasoned icons competing against rising stars. Expect emotional acceptance speeches, especially in categories where longtime performers are finally getting their due recognition. The red carpet will also be a highlight, as the Emmys have become a fashion moment almost as big as the Oscars. Designers are already teasing bold, futuristic looks that blend Hollywood glam with the playful spirit of television.

Another major talking point is the role of artificial intelligence in television. SAG-AFTRA’s recent leadership shift, with Sean Astin as the new president, has put the spotlight on how the industry will navigate AI’s growing presence. While the Emmys are about celebration, the underlying conversations in Hollywood this season are very much about the future of storytelling, fairness, and creativity in an age of rapid technological change.

Above all, the Emmys remain a night where television fans can come together to celebrate the stories and characters that have defined the year. Whether you are rooting for a high-stakes drama, a feel-good comedy, or a limited series that left you speechless, the 2025 ceremony is shaping up to deliver unforgettable moments both on stage and off.

With big stars, fresh rules, and an unpredictable mix of nominees, the Emmys 2025 could mark a turning point in how we celebrate television. One thing is certain: this year, all eyes will be on the small screen’s biggest night.

'Blue Bloods' Cast On Whether Fans Can Expect Visits From The Reagans

‘Blue Bloods’ Cast On Whether Fans Can Expect Visits From The Reagans

by jummy84 September 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Just how much will family visit the prodigal son Danny Reagan in Boston Blue?

The producers of the Blue Bloods spinoff handled the question diplomatically Thursday during the show’s first press conference with reporters. While talking about what to expect from the new cop series from Brandon Sonnier and Brandon Margolis, the question was inevitably asked about when or if fans can expect visits from the Reagans.

“We are a continuation of the Blue Bloods universe, which truly means we live in the same universe,” explained Sonnier. “You know … Boston and New York is only a three-hour drive. So it’s well within reason that folks from the city could make an appearance from time to time. That’s something we’re having fun playing with.”

He added later that it’s a three-hour drive “with sirens.”

As Deadline already reported in July, Bridget Moynahan will be the first Blue Bloods main cast member to make an appearance alongside Donnie Wahlberg. She will reprise her role as Erin Reagan in the premiere episode of the new series, which will air October 17.

“We landed on Bridget because in the story we were telling, it made the most sense that it would be Erin,” explained Sonnier on Thursday. “They had this relationship throughout Blue Bloods of butting heads, but she was always looking out for Danny, right? So it felt like, in this moment, who would drop everything and show up to look out for her brother but Erin? Then they can poke a little fun at each other. It’s all heart, and it’s all family.”

In addition to guest starring, Moynahan will also direct an episode of the freshman drama this season.

Boston Blue follows NYPD’s Danny Reagan (Wahlberg) as he takes a new position as a detective with the Boston PD. Once in Boston, he is paired with Detective Lena Silver (Sonequa Martin-Green), the eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family. In addition to Wahlberg, Martin-Green and Amonsen, the Boston Blue cast includes Maggie Lawson as Sarah Silver, Marcus Scribner as Jonah Silver, Gloria Reuben as Mae Silver and Ernie Hudson as Reverend Peters.

Boston Blue, which will air in Blue Bloods‘ Friday 10 p.m. time period, is produced by CBS Studios in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television. Brandon Sonnier & Brandon Margolis showrun and executive produce. Jerry Bruckheimer, KristieAnne Reed and Wahlberg also serve as executive producers. The series will be distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
