Benson Boone Cancels England Concert an Hour Before Showtime

“I cannot give you the show I’d like to be able to give you with the condition of my throat right now,” singer writes on social media

Benson Boone canceled his Birmingham, England concert an hour before it was scheduled to start on Saturday due to him suffering vocal and throat issues. He was supposed to perform at Utilita Arena during his tour in support of American Heart.

In a statement posted on a since-expired Instagram Story, the singer apologized to fans and added that he was working with his team to reschedule the concert for another time.

“Birmingham I am so so sorry but I will not be able to perform tonight,” he wrote. “I have tried everything I can to revive my voice, but I cannot give you the show I’d like to be able to give you with the condition of my throat right now.”

The singer added: “This is genuinely the crappiest feeling, I am so sorry. I promise you I will do everything in my power to make it up to you. I’ll update you guys as soon as I can. Thank you for everything you do. I love you guys so much.”

Utilita Arena confirmed the cancellation to the BBC, saying in a statement that it was “working through all possible options to reschedule.” The venue added: “We understand how disappointing this is and sincerely apologise for the extremely short notice and inconvenience caused.”

It’s unclear whether Boone will return to the stage for his three scheduled consecutive dates at London’s O2 Arena, which kick-off on Monday. Boone’s international leg of his tour is currently set for European stops through November, including shows in Paris, Amsterdam, and Stockholm.

During Boone’s North American tour run, which wrapped in October, his set list included a cover song at every show. In September at his Nashville stop, Boone delivered his rendition of Jason Isbell’s “Cover Me Up.”

Forestry England has launched ticket sales for this year’s Forest Live concert series, once again powered by Nuweb Group, its official ticketing technology partner.

Forest Live is a long-running outdoor music event that brings major artists to woodland venues across England.

Northern Irish rock band Snow Patrol will return to the Forest Live stage, joining UB40 as the first confirmed headliners for 2026.

Celebrating its 25 year anniversary next year, the outdoor concert series has welcomed more than two million people since their launch.

The proceeds from the events directly support conservation, reforestation, and wildlife projects.

“By attending a concert, you are also investing in the future of these incredible spaces, as the funds raised go towards preserving the nation’s forests for generations to come,” said Rhodri Jones, Forestry England’s National Events Programme Manager.

Tickets for Forest Live 2026 are available through the dedicated platform at tickets.forestryengland.uk, powered by Nuweb Group.

Since 2024, Forestry England has partnered with Nuweb Group to manage ticketing across its national programme.

The platform supports sales for both large-scale concerts and everyday forest admissions, which welcomed 285mn visits in the 2023/24 period.

Forestry England and Nuweb Group continue to deliver one of the UK’s most sustainable event experiences – where every ticket sold helps keep the nation’s forests growing.

bitchy | Princess Kate didn’t go to the women’s Rugby World Cup final & England won

For the past month, the Women’s Rugby World Cup has been played across stadiums in England. The Princess of Wales, patron of England’s men’s and women’s national rugby teams, has only been to one match during the month-long tournament. Her husband, who is patron of the Welsh national rugby teams, has also only been to one match this month. They went to separate matches on the same day so they wouldn’t have to attend another event together. While the Welsh women didn’t do so great in the World Cup, England’s Red Roses battled their way to the final. And guess what? They WON! Another English women’s team winning a major championship! You would expect their royal patron to be there, at the World Cup-winning match, right? Well, Kate couldn’t be bothered. She sent them a good-luck tweet before the final

Good luck England! 🌹🤠 Wishing the very best of luck to the @RedRosesRugby in their Women’s Rugby World Cup Final at Twickenham today. We’re so proud of you! C pic.twitter.com/AqoVN1FUKP

And that was it. This match was in LONDON, at the Allianz Stadium. The final got historic crowds for women’s rugby. There’s a huge boom for women’s rugby right now following some amazing matches at last year’s Paris Olympics. Meaning, there’s never been more interest in the sport, and it would have been amazing for England’s Red Roses to have their royal patron there, cheering them on AT HOME. Like, Prince William was lazy as hell and sexist as hell for not flying to Australia to support the Lionesses in the Women’s World Cup final in 2023, but at least you could say “well, it would have taken a lot of time and effort to fly to Australia last-minute.” William still should have done it, don’t get me wrong. But it’s absolutely insane that Kate was too f–king lazy to go to London for this major moment in women’s rugby, women’s sports and English sports. Kate literally had ONE day of work last week. This happened on a Saturday too, there was no school run to divide her precious attention. But hey, she tweeted her congratulations after the match. She didn’t sign it “-C” so the message was done by staff.

Congratulations to @RedRosesRugby, the new Women’s Rugby World Cup Champions! 🏆🏉

Well done to Canada – you had an outstanding tournament. Both teams should be so proud! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🇨🇦 https://t.co/O0Wg2rdUUb
