Happy New Music Friday! The weekend is here, which means more streaming, new playlists and the best that music has to offer — and ET has you covered for everything in between.

Coachella kicks off today with headliners Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, Karol G, and Anyma. Fans can tune in via Coachella’s YouTube Channel to see seven stages featuring a lineup that includes Addison Rae, BIGBANG, BINI, Clipse, David Guetta, FKA twigs, Jack White, Kaskade, KATSEYE, Major Lazer, Laufey, The Strokes, Teddy Swims and more. The livestream will begin at 4pm PT each night.

CBS and Dick Clark Productions announced that Queen Latifah will host the 52nd American Music Awards on May 25. This will mark 30 years since her AMAs hosting debut when she was a co-host in 1995. She shared, “I am so excited to return to the American Music Awards stage to host this year. It’s been an incredible year for music and there is no better place to celebrate than in Vegas.”

Women lead nominations for the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards. Megan Moroney leads with 9 nominations, followed by Miranda Lambert with 8, Ella Langley with 7, Lainey Wilson with 7, Chris Stapleton with 6, Zach Top with 5 and Cody Johnson with 4. More performers have also been announced — Kacey Musgraves, Little Big Town and Miranda Lambert will join previously announced performers Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson and Riley Green. The awards will stream live on May 17 on Prime Video.

The Latin Recording Academy announced that Daddy Yankee will be the 2026 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year. He will be honored for his nearly three-decade career as a singer, songwriter and performer within the urban genre, as well as for his humanitarian efforts. Daddy Yankee shared, “This recognition from The Latin Recording Academy is a dream come true. It means a lot because it represents more than just a successful career; it’s recognition of years of discipline, struggle, faith and commitment to our culture.” He will be celebrated at a private gala on November 11 in Las Vegas, as part of Latin GRAMMY Week.

Lady Gaga and Doechii released their new song “Runway,” the first piece of music from The Devil Wears Prada 2. The song was written by Bruno Mars, Jaylah Hickmon, Lady Gaga, Andrew Watt, Henry Walter, Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II and Jayda Love, and produced by Bruno Mars, Andrew Watt, Cirkut and D’Mile. The song marks the first collaboration between Gaga and Doechii.

Hilary Duff has released “Come Clean (Mine),” a re-recorded version of her 2003 hit single. The track will be featured in “The Reunion: Laguna Beach” which premieres April 10 on The Roku Channel. The song will also be included on Hilary Duff – (Mine), a brand new collection of newly re-recorded renditions of Hilary’s great hits, out on April 18 exclusively for Record Store Day 2026.

16 year old country singer Maddox Batson is currently on his Live Worldwide Tour 2026 and made a stop at The Wiltern in Los Angeles this week, which was his 100th show.

Simone Ashley has released her debut EP, Songs I Wrote In New York. Best known for her starring roles in “Bridgerton” and “Sex Education” and upcoming films “The Devil Wears Prada 2” and “Peaked,” Ashley reconnects with her early foundations in music. Before acting, music and performing were her earliest forms of creative expression. Simone shared, “I’ve found a confidence in knowing what kind of women and artist I want to be – that feeling really kept me company whilst in the studio writing and recording these songs.”

Bruno Mars was honored today with a parade down the Las Vegas Strip to celebrate the launch of his new tour, The Romantic Tour. Park Avenue was officially renamed Bruno Mars Drive, which is a rare and distinguished honor reserved for only a select few whose influence has changed the Entertainment Capital of the World. Bruno was also honored with a special proclamation from Clark County Commissioner Jim Gibson and and ceremonial state flag from Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo, acknowledging Bruno’s significant cultural and entertainment contributions. Bruno also made a charitable donation to a local nonprofit.

Lucy & The Ghoul are teaming up to take on greater threats this time. The new season will pick up in the aftermath of Season One’s epic finale and take audiences along for a journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas. The series stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, Moisés Arias, Kyle MacLachlan, Sarita Choudhury, Michael Emerson, Leslie Uggams, Frances Turner. Also featuring Dave Register, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, Rodrigo Luzzi, Annabel O’Hagan, and Xelia Mendes-Jones. And a doggie known as CX404 (played by a Belgian Malinois named Lana5). The new season will pick up in the aftermath of Season One’s epic finale and take audiences along for a journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas. Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, highly violent universe waiting for them. Fallout is a series created & written & showrun by TV creators / writers Geneva Robertson-Dworet & Graham Wagner. With eps from Season 2 directed by Frederick E.O. Toye, also of “Lost in Space”, “The Terminal List”, “See”, “Shogun”, “The Boys”. Produced by Kilter Films. Based on the video game series created by Bethesda Softworks; the very first Fallout game launched back in 1997. It’s executive produced by James Altman, Todd Howard, Lisa Joy, Jonathan Nolan, Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Graham Wagner, Athena Wickham. Amazon drops Fallout Season 2 streaming on Prime Video worldwide starting on December 17th, 2025 later this year. Who’s in?

Sydney Sweeney anticipates 'bittersweet' end to Euphoria filming

Ella Halikas says Christy flopped ‘because Sydney Sweeney wasn’t half naked’

by jummy84 November 13, 2025
written by jummy84

13 November 2025

Ella Halikas thinks Sydney Sweeney’s Christy flopped at the box office because she wasn’t “half naked”.

Sydney Sweeney plays a boxer in her new movie

The 28-year-old actress plays a former professional boxer in Christy, the new biographical sports drama film, but Ella thinks the film has flopped because Sydney doesn’t look “hot and beautiful” in the movie.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model told TMZ: “All I will say is that I think that she had branded herself, and people know of her, in a lot of her roles for showing skin, showing the ta-tas, feeling hot and beautiful.

“And I feel like when you’re more covered, and you’re not in that role, they’re kind of like, ‘We don’t know what to make of it’ right?’”

Ella observed that Sydney’s fans see her as a “beautiful woman on screen where they’re gonna see that body”.

She added: “If they don’t, and it’s kind of a different role for her, I feel like maybe you miss the crowd or audience that way.”

Earlier this week, Sydney insisted that she doesn’t “just make art for numbers”.

Alongside a carousel of photos from the film, Sydney – who also co-produced the David Michod-directed movie – wrote on Instagram: “i am so deeply proud of this movie.

“proud of the film david made. proud of the story we told. proud to represent someone as strong and resilient as Christy Martin. this experience has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

“this film stands for survival, courage, and hope. through our campaigns, we’ve helped raise awareness for so many affected by domestic violence. we all signed on to this film with the belief that christy’s story could save lives.

“thank you to everyone who saw, felt, and believed and will believe in this story for years to come. if christy gave even one woman the courage to take her first step toward safety, then we will have succeeded. so yes I’m proud. why? because we don’t always just make art for numbers, we make it for impact. and christy has been the most impactful project of my life. thank you christy. i love you. “Any last minute advice?” 20th Century has revealed a second trailer for Ella McCay, a new half political / half family comedy arriving to watch in theaters in December later this year. This is the first film directed by James L. Brooks since he made How Do You Know way back in 2010 (which we covered for its release!). As long as he can still make us laugh. In Ella McCay, Emma Mackey stars as an idealistic young woman who juggles her family and work life. A comedy about the people you love and how to survive them. She’s taking over the job of her mentor, the state’s longtime incumbent governor, and now starting a whole new life (in politics). The full ensemble cast features Emma Mackey as the titular Ella McCay, along with Jamie Lee Curtis, Jack Lowden, Kumail Nanjiani, Ayo Edebiri, Spike Fearn, Rebecca Hall, Julie Kavner, Joey Brooks, Becky Ann Baker, with Albert Brooks and Woody Harrelson. This is a better trailer than the first one, but still not sure this is going to be a big surprise this year. It looks light and charming and funny – which is more than most movies and enough to make me want to watch it anyway. Check it out.

Here’s the second official trailer (+ new poster) for James L. Brooks’ comedy Ella McCay, from YouTube:

You can rewatch the first official trailer for James L Brooks’ Ella McCay movie right here for more footage.

An idealistic young politician (starring Emma Mackey) juggles familial issues and a challenging work life while preparing to take over the job of her mentor, the state’s longtime incumbent governor. Ella McCay is both written and directed by iconic American comedian / producer / writer / filmmaker James L. Brooks, director of the hit movies Terms of Endearment, Broadcast News, I’ll Do Anything, As Good as It Gets, Spanglish, and How Do You Know, and a writer on many others (including “The Simpsons”). Produced by James L. Brooks, Richard Sakai, Julie Ansell, Jennifer Simchowitz. This hasn’t premiered at any festivals or elsewhere, as far as we know. 20th Century Studios debuts James L. Brooks’ Ella McCay movie in theaters nationwide starting December 12th, 2025 right at the end of this year. So who wants to watch this film?

‘Monster’ Season 4 Starts Filming With Charlie Hunnam, Ella Beatty

by jummy84 October 9, 2025
written by jummy84

No rest for the wicked, or Charlie Hunnam when it comes to Monster.

With the third season of Monster: The Ed Gein Story currently streaming atop the Netflix charts, season four of the true-crime anthology from Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan has gone into production in Los Angeles.

The fourth season of the Emmy-winning Netflix hit stars season three star Hunnam along with Ella Beatty (Feud: Capote vs. The Swans, If I Had Legs I’d Kick You) and will tell the story of the series’ first female “monster” Lizzie Borden, who will be played by Beatty.

Borden was famously tried and acquitted of the 1892 ax murders of her father and stepmother in Fall River, Massachusetts. Her murder trial has been the subject of many retellings on film and TV, including the 1975 TV movie The Legend of Lizzie Borden, Lifetime’s 2014 Lizzie Borden Took an Ax and 2018’s Lizzie starring Chloë Sevigny and Kristen Stewart.

Hunnam will play Andrew Borden, with Vicky Krieps (Phantom Thread, Corsage) as Bridget Sullivan, Rebecca Hall (Christine, Passing) as Abby Borden, Billie Lourd (American Horror Story, The Last Showgirl) as Emma Borden and Jessica Barden (The End of the F***ing World, Dune: Prophecy) as Nance O’Neill.

Max Winkler (Monster: The Ed Gein Story, Flower) will direct the first episode. Additional casting and production details will be revealed at a later date.

Monster: The Ed Gein Story released all episodes on Oct. 3 and quickly broke into Netflix’s Top 10 with 12.2 million views globally in its first three days.

The third season centers on Ed Gein, a murderer known to kill women, wear their skin and faces, and dig up graves. The Ed Gein season follows previous seasons, Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story and Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. Each of those seasons sparked conversations around sensational portrayals of murder victims, and Ed Gein has also been stirring up some debate.

Before the show released, Hunnam told The Hollywood Reporter, “I never felt like we were sensationalizing it. I never felt on set that we did anything gratuitous or for shock impact. It was all in order to try to tell this story as honestly as we could. … What I would hope and feel really confident in is that it was a very sincere exploration of the human condition and why this boy did what he did.”

The fourth installment of Monster is the latest addition to a growing list of Netflix shows and movies being filmed in Los Angeles, including Monster: The Ed Gein Story, as well as upcoming Nobody Wants This season two, Beef season two, Lincoln Lawyer season four, Nemesis, Worst Ex Ever season two, and films The Rip and Animals.
