Sophia Bush took home around $3,000 per episode for One Tree Hill.

Sophia Bush reveals how much she earned per episode on One Tree Hill

The 43-year-old actress appeared as Brooke Davis, one of the main characters in The WB/ CW drama series, from 2003 to 2012, but she admitted the difference in pay between actors was “wild”.

Speaking at a Tech Futures panel, she said: “Everybody was coming from something.

“I had been the philanthropy chair of my sorority at USC.

“So, the difference in pay scale was wild.

“Once I paid 10 per cent to my managers, 10 per cent to my agents, five per cent to my lawyers, a publicist fee, my taxes, and the $3,000-a-month that my two-bedroom apartment in Wilmington cost me, I was taking home about $3,000 per episode.”

In July, Sophia admitted she wasn’t “really given the opportunity” to negotiate her salary during the series.

When asked on The Burnouts podcast if she ever got a chance to discuss her earnings with show bosses, she said: “We weren’t really given the opportunity to do that.

“They would always tell us we were on the verge of getting cancelled so that we wouldn’t try.”

However, ahead of season four, her legal team stepped in and stood up for her.

She said: “They just said, ‘Listen, we know none of the girls are making what the boys are making.

“‘But you cannot pay her a third of what the woman making the least amount of money on the show is making.’

“They really went to bat for me.”

Despite her pay rise, Sophia was still earning “under 20 per cent” of what her male co-stars – who included her ex-husband Chad Michael Murray – were making.

She said: “I was finally being paid equally to the second-lowest paid woman on the cast.

“So, under 20 percent of what my male co-star was making on the show.

“Part of the reason they like to make teen television is because they don’t really have to pay young people very much money.

“Because I had been an added character – even though I’d be a series regular. I was essentially told, ‘This is all we can afford to pay you. Take it or leave it. It’s never going to get any better than this.’

“It was a baptism by fire in the financial space. You want to work so you say yes, but when you make money, 10 per cent goes to your agent and 10 per cent goes to your manager and five percent goes to your lawyer. Then you have to buy into your union and you have to figure out how to incorporate a business.”

In November 2024, Donald Trump nominated Scott Bessent as his pick for Secretary of the Treasury. In his announcement, Trump praised Bessent—a financial advisor and major donor to his 2024 campaign—as “widely respected as one of the world’s foremost international investors and geopolitical and economic strategists.”

Trump described 63-year-old Bessent’s rise as “the American dream” and emphasized his strong support for the America First agenda. On the eve of the United States’ 250th anniversary, Trump said Bessent would help usher in a new era, strengthening the country’s global economic standing and preserving the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency.

Concluding his remarks, Trump declared that together, he and Bessent would “make America rich again, prosperous again, affordable again, and, most importantly, great again.”

Bessent was confirmed by the Senate on January 27, 2025, in a 68–29 vote and was sworn in shortly after as the 79th Secretary of the Treasury.

Find out more about Bessent’s financial standing and career below.

What Is Scott Bessent’s Net Worth?

As of 2025, estimates of Bessent’s net worth vary significantly. According to Celebrity Net Worth, he is worth around $700 million. Forbes places the figure closer to $600 million. Meanwhile, a financial disclosure filed with the United States Office of Government Ethics on December 28, 2024, listed his minimum net worth at $521 million.

How Did Scott Bessent Make His Money?

Bessent is the founder of the macro investment firm Key Square Group.

A native of South Carolina, Bessent earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Yale University in 1984 before beginning his career in finance. In 1991, he joined Soros Fund Management (SFM), where he became a partner throughout the 1990s and later served as head of the London office. Bessent gained widespread recognition for betting against the British pound, a move that earned SFM $1 billion. (He repeated this success in 2013 by betting against the Japanese yen, bringing in additional profits.)

After resigning from SFM in 2000, Bessent founded a $1 billion hedge fund, which closed in 2005. He then served as a senior investment advisor at Protégé Partners, a fund-of-funds firm. Bessent returned to SFM in 2011 as chief investment officer, a role he held until 2015. He left in 2015 to establish his own firm, Key Square Group. Bessent announced that he would sever ties with the group as Treasury Secretary.

Is Scott Bessent Married?

Bessent is married to former NYC prosecutor John Freeman, and the two have two children together.

He is the first openly gay Secretary of the Treasury and the second openly gay Cabinet Secretary, following Pete Buttigieg.

Rod Wave Arrested on Fir*arm & Dr#g Charges in Atlanta the Same Day He Earned His 1st Grammy Nod

Rod Wave was arrested in Georgia on dr*g and weapon charges on the same day he received his first-ever Grammy nomination, according to Fulton County jail records and a statement from his attorneys. The 27-year-old rapper, whose real name is Rodarius Green, was taken into custody in Atlanta on Nov. 7, 2025, and booked into the Fulton County Jail. He was released the following day after posting an $8,000 bond.

Jail records show Green is facing four charges: possession of a fire#rm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit a felony, reckless driving, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance — one listed as Schedule II and one as Schedule V.

In a statement to multiple outlets, Green’s legal team criticized the circumstances of the arrest, saying the rapper “was unjustly profiled and unlawfully arrested in Atlanta.” They alleged the arresting officer is part of the Atlanta Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit, which they described as “a group known for its aggressive tactics and emphasis on high arrest numbers rather than genuine public safety.” The attorneys further called the arrest “a quota-driven approach” and said they intend to challenge it.

The arrest came just hours after Rod Wave earned his first Grammy nomination — in the category Best Song Written for Visual Media for the track “Sinners,” from the 2025 film of the same name. Despite his legal issues, he is still scheduled to launch “The Redemption Experience Tour” in December, beginning in Los Angeles.

This is the rapper’s third arrest in Georgia in 2025, following earlier incidents in May and June, though his attorneys have previously maintained his innocence in those cases.

Cam’ron Says His Male-Enhancement Supplement ‘Pink Horse Power’ Earned Him Nearly $10 Million in Four Years

Rapper and entrepreneur Cam’ron says his Pink Horse Power male-enhancement supplement has been a lucrative business — and his viral TV moments helped make it a hit.

In a new interview with The Breakfast Club, Cam’ron brought along samples of the product, explaining that it’s made with natural African ingredients sourced directly from Senegal. He said he ensures the potency of the ingredients by keeping someone on-site to monitor production.

“When it’s on the boat, they water it down,” Cam said. “I keep a n—a on a boat for two months to watch our stocks so that we make sure we have the highest potency of it.”

Cam described the supplement as “potent and effective,” saying it works fast — within 10 minutes when, as he put it, “it’s time to go in.” He added,

“We’ve been doing this for four years [and] probably made close to $10 million on it.”

According to the Harlem native, the company was born during the pandemic because, in his words,

“Nobody was doing s—t but f—king at home.”

He credited several of his media appearances for boosting sales, including his spots on Drink Champs and Gillie Da Kid’s podcast. But he says the biggest push came from his viral CNN interview in 2024, when anchor Abby Phillip pressed him about footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie.

Cam’ron said he reluctantly answered a few questions before turning the moment into an impromptu marketing move:

“I said I’ll do one or two Puff questions, but you kept forcing the issue. Alright, bet. Let’s do it — Pink Horse commercial, the whole s—t.”

During the now-infamous clip, Cam took a shot of his Pink Horse Power drink live on-air and joked that he was going to “get some cheeks” after the interview — a moment that quickly went viral and, according to him, supercharged sales.

Henry Winkler was “so excited” when his old friend Ron Howard earned his first Emmy nomination for acting.

Henry Winkler was ‘so excited’ when his old friend Ron Howard earned his first Emmy nomination for acting

The 79-year-old actor shows to fame along with Ron, 71, when they co-starred in beloved US comedy Happy Days, and he has now spoken to People magazine to reveal his pride in Ron’s acting success.

Recalling his immediate reaction to Ron’s Emmy nomination for his role in Apple TV+’s Hollywood satire series The Studio, Henry said: “I called (Run) immediately. He was so excited. He is limitless.”

Henry added Ron had spoken to him before filming his scenes for The Studio, which saw him have a furious bust-up with the bumbling head of a movie studio played by Seth Rogen.

He said: “He loved it. He said to me, ‘I’m doing it and I’m going full-tilt.’”

Henry added about how he would love a part in The Studio: “I would do it immediately. It’s a great show.”

Ron received his first-ever acting Emmy nomination in July for his performance as himself in the satire, which takes aim at the Hollywood studio system.

Speaking to People days after the announcement, he said: “I play an a****** version of myself. Apparently, it went over.

“I have many noms and even some wins on the producing and directing side, but first nom as an actor, which is kind of funny. I’m getting a kick out of it.”

It marked Ron’s 14th Emmy nomination.

The Studio stars Seth Rogen as Matt Remick, the new head of embattled movie company Continental Studios.

Ron appeared in the third episode of the first season, which aired in April.

In the episode, his director character – and exaggerated version of his real-life self – cries when he receives critical feedback from Seth’s character and angrily throws his trademark baseball cap at him.

The first season of The Studio also featured guest appearances from Martin Scorsese, Anthony Mackie, Zoë Kravitz and Dave Franco, all of whom also played versions of themselves.

Bryan Cranston also earned an Emmy nomination for a guest role in the series, though he portrayed a fictional character.

Henry and Ron worked together on sitcom Happy Days, which ran for 11 seasons on ABC, between 1974 and 1984.

Ron starred as Richie Cunningham, while Henry played Arthur ‘Fonzie’ Fonzarelli – initially a recurring role before he became a series regular.

The pair reunited briefly on stage at the 2024 Emmys.

Henry said: “I was with him for 45 seconds on the Emmys last year. It was like we had just been on the set a minute ago.

“Oh my God, I love him very much.”
