Sharp Suits and More Sheer Dresses: Demi Moore’s Press Tour Wardrobe Is So Back

by jummy84 November 12, 2025
written by jummy84

The look was very much in keeping with the Demi Moore and Goreski style playbook, and the rest of her press tour wardrobe so far has equally followed…suit. Moore turned up to Stephen Colbert wearing a sharp white Tom Ford blazer and flared trouser combo, an electric purple shirt, and a set of sunglasses that channeled Ford himself, toting a black envelope clutch and her teeny, micro chihuahua Pilaf. (One of Moore’s most beloved accessories). She also wore a more casual—but no less refined—Khaite and Jacquemus look with a blue, red, and cream argyle knit sweater and red leather pants. Stepping out again in NYC for a press day, Moore swathed herself in full Brandon Maxwell leathers from the designer’s fall 2025 collection, with a fringed skirt and the covetable new Maxwell bag.

Switching things up ever so slightly (while still relying on her Gucci ambassadorship), Moore wore a pre-fall 2025 purple, blue, and red bouclé jacket and matching mini dress with calf-length heeled boots and a cream horsebit bag. It was a sweet, and as always, sophisticated styled offering. Overall? So far, so Demi.

Season two of Landman sees Moore return to her role as Texas socialite Cami Miller, alongside Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, and Andy Garcia. Her part in the first season of the gritty oil industry drama was relatively low-key, but it’s been promised that Moore will step more into the fore this time.

It’s been a big week for Demi, who also celebrated her 63rd birthday. As great a time as ever to luxuriate in her signature style codes.

Julia Fox dresses as blood-stained Jacqueline Kennedy for Halloween

Julia Fox dressed as a blood-stained Jacqueline Kennedy for Halloween

The 35-year-old actress and model attended The Cursed Amulet’s Halloween party wearing a costume inspired by the iconic pink suit worn by the former First Lady on 22 November 1963 – the day her husband was shot and killed while riding in a motorcade.

Julia wore a pink suit and matching pillbox hat, mirroring Jackie’s double-breasted wool ensemble.

She paired the look with white gloves, a short black wig, and a black handbag.

The outfit appeared splattered with fake blood.

The Uncut Gems star later shared images of her costume on her Instagram Stories.

Jackie’s original pink suit became one of the most recognisable images of the tragic day JFK was gunned down.

According to The New York Times, her suit, shoes, handbag and stockings were “blood-covered and folded in a towel” after the shooting.

The blood-stained items were never cleaned and remain preserved at the National Archives and Records Administration facility in Maryland.

The Los Angeles Times reported Jackie’s maid, Providencia Paredes, placed the outfit in a bag and sent it to the archives sometime before July 1964.

In the hours after the assassination, Jackie was photographed wearing the same suit while standing beside Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson as he was sworn in as president aboard Air Force One.

Historian Steve Gillon told People magazine in November 2022: “They actually had another dress laid out for her to put on and she refused. She went out in her blood-stained suit and stood next to Lyndon Johnson.

“Despite these horrible circumstances, she was willing to stand for a photo because she understood what it meant for the nation to have continuity in government. She understood that she had a role to play in helping the nation transition to a new president.”

Jackie had worn the two-piece suit on at least six previous occasions before her husband’s assassination, according to The New York Times.

The suit itself was a Chanel-approved copy made by the New York fashion house Chez Ninon.

The assassination of John F. Kennedy, who was 46, remains one of the most defining events of the 20th century.

In her diary, Lady Bird Johnson – the wife of Lyndon B. Johnson – described the moment she saw Jackie cradling her husband’s body in the motorcade.

She wrote: “As we ground to a halt – we were still the third car… I cast one last look over my shoulder and saw in the President’s car a bundle of pink, just like a drift of blossoms, lying in the back seat. It was Mrs. Kennedy lying over the President’s body.

“Mrs. Kennedy’s dress was stained with blood.

“One leg was almost entirely covered with it and her right glove was caked, it was caked with blood — her husband’s blood.”

Julia’s Halloween costume came just weeks before the 62nd anniversary of Kennedy’s death and has seen her face a huge backlash online over the outfit choice.

One of her many critics said online: “So tasteless. Tragedy is not a costume.”

Dakota Johnson ‘really doesn’t care’ what people think of her ‘naked’ dresses

Dakota Johnson “really doesn’t care” what people think of her so-called “naked” dresses.

Dakota Johnson ‘really doesn’t care’ what people think of her so-called ‘naked’ dresses.

The 36-year-old actress and director spoke openly about her bold fashion choices in a new Vogue Germany cover story, explaining she plans to keep wearing the daring looks that have become her signature.

Dakota said she felt empowered rather than exposed by her sartorial decisions, which have frequently made headlines at major events.

In the interview, the Verity star was asked whether she ever worries “about whether a naked dress might be ‘too sexy’.”

She replied candidly: “I really don’t care.”

Dakota then added: “I’ve been able to wear some of the most beautiful dresses, and I feel beautiful in them, so I wear them.”

She continued: “Sometimes those dresses look good on me. But there are also some we’ve tried on that didn’t look good at all. It depends on the shape, the finish, the colour, and everything else. So if I find a beautiful dress that I feel comfortable in, of course I want to wear it! And it’s fun to wear a sexy dress.”

According to Vogue Germany, Dakota – who is the daughter of actress Melanie Griffith and Miami Vice star Don Johnson – credited her mother for instilling a sense of confidence in her from a young age.

She said: “My mom was just very open about the topic of bodies.

“She taught us how to take care of our bodies and love them, and that our bodies are beautiful.

“And I think that’s something really important for a young girl because we’re constantly told that we’re not good enough.”

She continued: “And if you’re not told from a young age by the woman you look up to the most that you’re perfect and smart and special and strong and brave, it can really break you. It’s hard to re-teach yourself that love later on. That was a huge gift she gave me.”

One of Dakota’s most talked-about “naked” looks was a sheer black lace Gucci gown worn at the Kering Foundation’s Caring for Women dinner in New York City on 11 September, where the long-sleeved design featured intricate floral embroidery over a black balconette bra and underwear.

Her hair was styled in a loose up-do, accentuating the gown’s high neckline, and she accessorised with emerald earrings, a matching necklace and black open-toed heels.

Later that month, on 25 September, Dakota appeared at the Zurich Film Festival in another sheer look – a long-sleeved indigo lace gown with a tulle skirt that began below the hips.

Unlike the Gucci design, the Daddio and Materialists actress opted not to wear visible undergarments beneath the ensemble.

22 Chic Skirts and Dresses for Fall 2025

by jummy84 October 21, 2025
written by jummy84

Ever since I was a little girl, my mom dressed me in skirts and dresses, and I’ve never strayed from that. I still remember the first school picture day in first grade—while most kids were in casual outfits, I was fully overdressed in a white satin dress with white tights and little open-toe white heels. In fact, many of my closest friends have joked that they’ve never seen me wear pants or jeans. Up until recently, that was because I literally didn’t own a pair. (Recently, I finally ordered a pair of Levi’s 501 ’90s Jeans.)

There’s just something about dresses and skirts that makes me feel the most “me.” Whether I’m pairing them with tights in the fall and winter or wearing them on their own in the spring and summer, they always feel right and are what I feel most comfortable in. Here are the ones that are on my wish list.

36 Best Little Black Dresses 2025, Curated by Fashion Insiders

by jummy84 October 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Among the list of true closet essentials, the best little black dresses are perennial standouts. No matter the occasion, LBDs are capsule-wardrobe staples that never lose their fashion-forward appeal. Whether a cocktail-attire invite has you scrambling for a party dress or you’re looking for something to freshen up your weekly workwear edit, little black dresses have the power to fill in the blanks with just the right amount of polished versatility and easy elegance.

I often find myself reaching for an LBD when faced with the nagging question of what to wear. As a New Yorker, my closet is literally stocked with them. Work event? I’m most likely reaching for my trusty black midi to go from day to night with ease; I usually add a leather jacket and boots for extra edge. Fall wedding? A lace-trimmed slip dress is my forever go-to, instantly upping the chic factor—just add strappy heels and sleek earrings. (Rewear it to work or brunch under a white button-down shirt and ballet flats.)

The best part about investing in little black dresses is that they act as styling centerpieces with the ability to be reworked over and over, usually with a simple swap of accessories. From classic minis to bold maxis and every hemline, shape, and material in between, shop my favorite LBDs to bring your wardrobe together.

1. Best black minidresses

There is nothing else quite like a little black minidress, a seasonless staple that can be worn year-round. Whether you like the fit and feel of a bodycon dress or prefer the A-line silhouette of a shift or sheath, rely on these favorites to guide the way. You’ll find Staud’s Wells dress, a longtime bestseller among Glamour readers with the subtlest seamed corset, high on the list. Reformation’s sleeveless, knitted take, meanwhile, is the perfect transitional shape to wear with knee-high boots and a leather jacket in the fall, then a sleek, kitten-heel sandal come summer.

2. Best black midi-dresses

Black midi-dresses run the gamut of shape and vibe, and so do their many styling possibilities. You’ll find both cocktail-appropriate attire and everyday mainstays within this category. Evenings out call for Norma Kamali’s ruched Diana dress, a go-to for decades now, while J.Crew’s pleated taffeta number works for all those dressy fall events on your calendar. Simple jersey options from Quince, Old Navy, and Hill House make for versatile workhorses—pair them with a blazer and your favorite sneakers, ballet flats, or boots for everyday wear.

3. Best black maxidresses

If you’re looking for length, a black maxidress offers a polished problem-solver—there’s no extra styling required. Choose from simple styles that feel like your favorite tank top or T-shirt, like Cotton Citizen’s tank dress or Free People’s long-sleeved maxi—the perfect accompaniments to those new suede boots. For occasion dressing, special details, like Amanda Uprichard’s serious slit skirts and Zara’s festive frock in crepe, are the way to go.

4. Best black dresses with sleeves

A little black dress with long sleeves is fail-proof in the colder months, offering just the right balance of coverage and sophistication. Go for something on the casual side with Another Tomorrow’s short-sleeve dress. Or perhaps a sweater dress is more your speed; both Éterne’s turtleneck number and Dôen’s ruffled take pair perfectly with knee-high boots and a wool coat for everyday outings. For evening, Helsa’s open-back gown in deep noir is the winter wedding-guest dress worth investing in for all those upcoming black-tie affairs.

5. Best black dresses with embellishments

Although a little black dress can be worn for any occasion, it really comes alive at night. Don’t be afraid to load up on options with plenty of extra-special design details to make your picks really stand out. From Mango’s strapless dress with a structured fit and jeweled buttons to Kika Vargas’s voluminous minidress with bow straps, little touches make all the difference. Silhouettes and shapes can also be impactful, like Max Mara’s striking cutout dress and Reformation’s backless gown. Heads will surely turn for these, whatever room you find yourself in.

6. Best black dresses on Amazon

If you need a little guidance on where to begin in a sea of black dresses, our vetted favorites from Amazon are a good place to start. Find versatility with effortless black slip dresses from Alice & Olivia and City Chic (a great plus-size option), which are flexible enough for laid-back moments with a simple jacket and flats or polished looks with strappy heels. Contemporary designer steals like Staud’s cap-sleeve dress and Norma Kamali’s Maria dress are top priorities on my wish list as well.

Miu Miu’s Spring/Summer 2026 Show Says Apron Dresses Are Hot

by jummy84 October 7, 2025
written by jummy84

With the S/S 26 Miu Miu show, Miuccia Prada wanted to remind everyone of the reality of life. Specifically, she wanted to call to mind the actuality that hard work is necessary for anything, even beauty, glamour, and fashion. Before seeing the collection or reading the show notes, guests were greeted to a transformed Palais d’léna made to look like the dining facility of a factory with long Formica tables and pink rubberized floors. Aptly, the show notes were titled Work, and the collection was described as “a consideration of the work of women—their challenges, adversity, experience. Its invisibility is confronted and addressed, recognized, and valorized.”

An Ever-Expanding Miu Miu Fan Club

Miu Miu fans have been around since 1993, when Prada created the brand, but sine the viral Miu Miu micro mini there are more tastemakers and celebrities and editors than ever vying for a coveted spot in the brand’s fan club. The Spring 2026 guests included Alexa Chung, Petra Collins, Emma Corrin, Nina Dobrev, Paloma Elsesser, Wonyoung Jang and more.

The Miu Miu Girl Wears Apron Dresses Now

The theme of ‘work’ in the collection came across instantly, as soon as the first model walked down the runway wearing a canvas blue apron. She was followed by models in protective leather aprons and drill pinafores. Sometimes these aprons were accessorized with leather belts with D-rings meant for fastening equipment. It was as if the models were just passing by guests on their way to clock in at a factory.

Later on in the show was a parade of a different kind of apron. They were more domestic and less industrial, with floral patterns and lace details more akin to those preferred by homemakers. They felt familiar, like something you perhaps grew up watching your mom or grandmother or great grandmother wear while she juggled tens of tasks at once and still managed to make you feel loved.

While the apron is often something only seen within the walls of a home or a workshop, Prada saw it as something that deserved to be platformed and considered beautiful. “The apron, as a universal symbol of work, is afforded a nobility and respect,” she wrote. “Cultural meanings of this garment can shift radically according to changes in materialization and form—from domicilary to clinical to industrial, physical labor to care-giving, primary and tertiary industries and the domestic sphere. A single garment containing multitiudes.” And now it’ll likely have it’s next multitude as an ‘It’ item that’s sure to be trending by 2026.

Only Miuccia.Prada Can Bring Back a Statement Necklace and Bandana

Aside from the D-leather belts, the apron dresses were often accessorized with chunky necklaces and bold printed bandanas. The latter are another unofficial part of the factory worker uniform, but when styled with necklaces they were reminiscent of the statement necklace craze of the mid 2010s. They’re often looked back at as a moment of classic millennial twee cringe but if anyone can bring them back, it would be Prada. Plus, twee is set for a comeback any day now, so get your whimsy—and chunky neckwear—ready.

The Reality of Clothes for a Working Life

Something that’s so special about Miu Miu is that Mrs. Prada is able to make the mundane feel worthy of adoration. She transforms items you’ve seen so many times over and thought nothing of and makes them something you suddenly desire. A couple of seasons ago she did this with bags overstuffed with a change of clothing, meant to represent the busy life so many of us live where we’re expected to be many people at once.

That overstuffed bag was maybe once something you’d feel ashamed of wearing but Mrs. P made it something cool; something to be imitated, intentionally. She is always showing us that a busy life is a beautiful one. And Spring 2026 felt like a doubling down on that narrative. Why hide the fact that you work hard instead of quite literally wearing it on your sleeve?
