Meghan Markle Faces New Controversy Over Alleged Non-Returned $1,695 Designer Dress from 2022 Photoshoot

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has once again found herself in the center of a controversy, this time involving a high-end designer gown worn during a 2022 magazine photoshoot. The issue resurfaced after Meghan appeared in a promo for her upcoming Netflix holiday special, With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration, wearing what appears to be the same emerald green, galvanized gown from the 2022 shoot.

The dress, reportedly valued at $1,695 (approx. ₹1.5 lakh), was originally borrowed for the photoshoot, according to multiple entertainment reports. The resurfacing of the gown in recent promotional content triggered online debate and speculation regarding fashion loan protocols and whether Meghan had permission to retain the piece. According to several media outlets, journalist Vanessa Grigoriadis discussed these claims on a podcast, stating that Meghan allegedly kept clothing and jewelry from a high-profile photoshoot without returning them.

However, no official confirmation has been provided by Meghan Markle, her team, or the magazine involved. Reports caution that the situation might stem from a simple misunderstanding. Some sources even argue that the allegations may be exaggerated, noting that royals often archive significant garments as part of their public image records. Social media users quickly identified the green gown in Meghan’s Netflix holiday promo as the same dress from the 2022 photoshoot.

This observation revived rumors that emerged last year, suggesting Meghan may have taken items from shoots without notice, claims that remain unverified. Another report suggested that Meghan took the dress without asking, based on comments attributed to Grigoriadis on Andrew Gold’s Heretics podcast. She was quoted expressing surprise, questioning why someone of Meghan’s financial standing, living in a $15 million Montecito mansion and reportedly worth $100 million, would retain items she could easily purchase.

Dress Code: How Kelly Wearstler Chooses Party-ready Outfits That Tell a Story

by jummy84 November 8, 2025
written by jummy84

What’s your process for getting dressed? Do you make an effort even when you don’t have to go anywhere?

Getting dressed happens the morning of—it’s quick. I’m usually short on time after my workout and mornings with baby Crosby. I dress by mood; it’s all about energy. Some days, the look lands better than others. Once I’m dressed, there’s no time to change. I like to feel inspired, whether I’m in denim or a suit. My style is always evolving; it moves with me.

When you want to feel confident—what boxes does your outfit need to tick?

I reach for pieces that make a statement. In building an outfit, I’m usually drawn to things with structure and texture. I love the contrast between something sharp and something soft. Stepping back, a complete outfit should feel balanced, sculptural, and infused with my own aesthetic sensibility.

A breakfast event pops up for tomorrow. What’s a failsafe outfit for an early morning when you want to feel polished?

Something that has presence—structure, texture, and tension. I always love a wide shoulder; it gives power and proportion. When it all feels sculptural and balanced, that’s the sweet spot.

What type of dress code fills you with dread? And what’s your workaround for that?

None! A dress code is like a creative brief: it’s a chance to experiment and bend the rules.

A luncheon is on the calendar. How might you approach putting together a look?

I’d go for an unexpected material pairing or a statement piece that can subvert daytime dressing expectations. For lunch, I’d choose something that’s playful and off-beat. I love a mini skirt with flat shoes or a vintage t-shirt and platforms.

What are your thoughts on costume parties? All in with the DIY, or politely decline?

All in. Halloween is high-concept dressing. DIY forever: the magic is in the making.

The 5 p.m. slump has hit, but a dinner party is on the cards. What will energize you when shifting from day to night?

Music is my switch: it shifts my mood instantly. My playlists are beautifully chaotic! Tame Impala, Massive Attack, Kendrick, Glass Animals, Jamie xx. I like surprises—the sounds are always evolving, never on repeat.

Rashmika Mandanna travelled to Los Angeles to attend a star-studded event hosted by Swarovski. The luxury jewellery label showcased its iconic legacy with the ‘Masters of Light’ exhibit, celebrating 130 years of the brand.

Rashmika chose a dual-toned ensemble for the red-carpet event. It features a metallic silver corset styled with a black skirt. The blouse features a plunging V-neckline, a structured silhouette, corseted boning that hugs her curves, and a strapless design that showcases her decolletage.

Meanwhile, the solid black skirt hugs her curves like a second skin, and features a low-rise waistline, a slit on the back for ease of movement, and a floor-grazing hem length.

The blinding jewels

The jewels were the highlight of Rashmika’s look. She paired her metallic ensemble with jewellery from Swarovski, including a head-turning necklace adorned with emerald-shaped and oval droplet crystals. She completed the accessories with dangling earrings, Swarovski ear cuffs, multiple crystal-adorned rings, and a crystal-adorned waist chain.

Lastly, black Christian Louboutin pumps rounded off the look. For her hair, Rashmika styled them in a slicked-back, half-updo with a puff on the top.

As for the glam, the actor chose winged eyeliner, metallic smoky eyeshadow, darkened brows, kohl-lined eyes, mascara-adorned lashes, rouge-tinted cheeks, a glossy caramel pink lip shade, and a glowing highlighter.

Meanwhile, the exhibition highlights the brand’s link to music, cinema, and global pop culture, featuring iconic movie and performance costumes alongside standout jewels and stunning footwear.

On the work front, Rashmika was recently seen in Thamma, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan. The film also starred Ayushmann Khurrana.

Katseye Dress as Mariah Carey's Eras for Halloween Video: Watch

Katseye Dress as Mariah Carey’s Eras for Halloween Video: Watch

by jummy84 October 29, 2025
written by jummy84

During the MTV Video Music Awards back in September, Katseye was seemingly puzzled when asked to name a favorite Mariah Carey music video. Now, the girl group is using the viral red carpet moment as Halloween costume inspiration.

On Tuesday, Katseye shared a video of each member dressing in iconic looks from different eras of Carey’s music videos. “All I Want for Halloween is… Gabriela @billboard, does this answer your question of our favorite @mariahcarey music video?” the group wrote on Instagram.

The video opens with Bowen Yang playing a red carpet host who asks each of the girls what their favorite Carey video is. First up is Daniela, rolling in on rollerblades and channeling Carey’s “Fantasy” look. Next comes Lara, singing along to “Obsessed” and perfectly mirroring the Grammy winner’s outfit. Sophia follows in all-white, evoking the “Honey” era. After her, Manon appears in a wedding gown inspired by “We Belong Together.”

Finally, Yoonchae arrives in a festive Christmas look straight out of “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” as fake snow begins to fall. Megan closes out the lineup, dressed in an outfit channeling Carey’s “Heartbreaker” as Yang calls back to Carey’s alter-ego “Bianca” from the video, reminiscent of the “Gabriela” Katseye sings about in their song of the same name.

After showcasing each era, the girls break into a performance of “Gabriela,” while dressed in Rainbow-inspired outfits.

“This is too cute!” says Carey in a cameo at the end of the video. “This is Katseye!”

An off-camera voice asks: “Do you know them?” (Yes, it’s a J.Lo moment reference.)

“Of course, my daughter loves them. Hello?” Carey replies.

On Instagram, the girls also shared more clips with their outfits, including one in the Rainbow look using audio where someone is asked “What is your message to the gays?” before the girls exclaim: “We love the gays!”

Trending Stories

The new Halloween visual comes a few months after the group released their sophomore EP, Beautiful Chaos, which included “Gabriela,” “Gnarly,” and “Mean Girls.” They also dropped a remix of “Gabriela,” featuring Young Miko.

“It’s us stepping into our maturity,” Lara previously told Rolling Stone about the EP. “I feel like this era, we have been a lot more authentically ourselves. I don’t have to put on a facade of any kind when talking to anyone anymore. I think that’s a beautiful thing, and you can see that more within the album. You see more of our fire.”

Grandma Shoes Are the Winter 2025 Trend That’ll Dress Up Any Pair of Jeans

by jummy84 October 26, 2025
written by jummy84

Grandma shoes making a comeback in the trend cycle feels like a delicious irony. What once evoked bingo afternoons and hard candies has now become an object of desire for those who want that classic, quiet-luxury vibe.

In winter 2025, shoes typically associated with our beloved grannies—think square-toe silhouettes, short block heels, and discreet buckles—have resurfaced as an elegant footwear alternative. In a world saturated with casual sneakers and impossible-to-walk-in platforms, there’s something irresistible and exciting about returning to footwear that prioritizes comfort without sacrificing charm.

Far from being a nostalgic nod, this trend resurrects the kind of practical elegance that characterized generations past. These new “grandma shoes” combine polished materials and restrained proportions with a retro flair that works well with any type of jeans. From the neatest straight line to the baggiest baggy jeans, there’s just something about pairing a classic shoe style with contemporary pants that signals good taste. Grandma would be proud.

Ahead, the grandma shoe styles we’re shopping for fall and winter 2025.

This slim, slightly pointed-toe flat is the very definition of effortless elegance, as Kendall Jenner proves above. Its minimalist silhouette fits naturally under straight-leg jeans to create a clean line that elongates the figure. The contrast between the stiffness of the denim and the softness of the leather shoe makes for a beautiful visual harmony too. This look doesn’t seek attention, but it gets it through its refined simplicity. Ideal for fast-paced days at the office, this combo works best with button-down shirts, double-breasted blazers, and other pieces that walk the line between casual and polished.

Here’s Why Kim Kardashian’s 45th B-Day Dress Is So Historic

by jummy84 October 22, 2025
written by jummy84

Today, Kim Kardashian celebrated her 45th birthday with a dinner in Paris that turned into a full-blown fashion moment. She wore a dress from Givenchy’s spring/summer 1997 Haute Couture collection, which marked Alexander McQueen’s debut as the house’s creative director. His appointment to the French maison the year prior was highly controversial at the time. McQueen was only 27 years old and was known for his rebellious reputation and provocative designs, which clashed with founder Hubert de Givenchy’s polished, upper-crust aesthetic, meticulously honed over time with the help of Audrey Hepburn and Jacqueline Kennedy.

“It is, without doubt, the most unlikely appointment in fashion history,” The Guardian wrote in 1996 about McQueen’s ascension to the Givenchy throne. “Not only is he far from experienced, his ideology is a million miles from that of the moneyed and mannered couture customer for whom he will be catering.” Given Kardashian’s penchant for contentious fashion, it’s no surprise that she’d choose a look from this specific collection for her milestone birthday. Scroll down to see the dress in 2025 compared to its runway debut, worn by Naomi Campbell in 1997.
