SZA Speaks on Environmental Disaster, Al, & Human Suffering: “My Government Doesn’t Give a F* If I Live or Die”

SZA is voicing her frustration with the state of the world — from politics and the environment to social issues — in a passionate message that quickly went viral.

In a lengthy post shared online, the Grammy-winning artist expressed deep concern over a wide range of global crises, from oil drilling in Alaska’s wildlife preserve and child marriage laws to mass layoffs affecting Black women and environmental collapse.

She highlighted topics including toxic waste dumping, the coral reef’s decline, and humanitarian crises in Sudan and the Congo, writing that people seem more focused on distractions than real issues.

“People starving and dying in Sudan + Congo but nobody cares cause they’re Black + everyone wants the new iPhone,” SZA wrote.

The “Kill Bill” singer also warned against AI misuse, mass pollution, and online propaganda, saying the constant cycle of negativity is mentally exhausting:

“I feel crazy tryna sell anything, drop anything, think anything, be anything but stressed the f*** out… but we persist I guess chile. Y’all okay? Imma get off the net lol.”

SZA’s candid message sparked wide discussion across social media, with many fans praising her for articulating the anxiety and disillusionment many people feel amid today’s chaos.

Bigg Boss 19 Weekend Ka Vaar: Malti Chahar’s ‘Kapde Pehen’ Jibe On Nehal Chudasama Doesn’t Sit Well With Salman Khan! | Glamsham.com

The anticipation is sky-high for this week’s Weekend Ka Vaar on Bigg Boss 19, as viewers are eagerly waiting for Salman Khan to address the housemates’ explosive behaviour—especially Malti Chahar’s controversial comment targeting Nehal Chudasama.

In a recently released promo, Salman Khan is seen confronting Malti for her insensitive remark. The issue began earlier this week during an argument over suji halwa, where Malti told Nehal, “Next time kapde pehen ke baat karna” (Talk to me next time with your clothes on). Nehal, who was fully dressed, was visibly offended and lashed out at Malti.

In the promo, Salman questions Malti about her statement. Attempting to explain, she said the room temperature was too cold and she merely suggested Nehal wear more clothes. However, her justification didn’t sit well with Salman or the rest of the house. Visibly unimpressed, Salman asked the housemates, “Kitno ko lagta hai ki ye ekdum bakwas tha?” (How many of you think this was total nonsense?), prompting unanimous agreement.

Salman didn’t hold back, saying, “Kuch bolne ke baad, maidaan chor ke bhaag jaati ho. Dose de rahi ho toh return dose lena bhi seekho” (You run away after making hurtful comments. If you can attack, learn to take one too).

The comment had earlier sparked a house-wide outrage. Baseer and Kunickaa stood up for Nehal, with Baseer shouting, “Are you from a little cottage in Agra? I’ll throw you out of this house!” Despite the backlash, Malti was later seen laughing with Tanya, which further angered Kunickaa.

As tensions rise, fans are eagerly waiting for the full Weekend Ka Vaar episode to see how Salman’s scolding will impact the house dynamics.

Bigg Boss 19 airs on Colors TV and streams on JioCinema.

Riot Women star on potential season 2: ‘It doesn’t feel final’

by jummy84 October 14, 2025
written by jummy84

The BBC has yet to announce what the future holds for Riot Women, Sally Wainwright’s life-affirming new drama about a group of menopausal women who form a punk rock band. But the series is certainly poised to continue following an eventful finale that leaves the door wide open.

“Oh, it definitely doesn’t feel final,” Craig told RadioTimes.com. “And I know that there’s a great will to have another season. I’m certainly not done with Kitty, so I’d like to have another go at that.”

After Kitty narrowly avoided a third stint behind bars – when the criminal damage case against her collapsed – she was free to join her bandmates on stage at the Hebden Bridge festival, which was an utter triumph. And for once in Kitty’s life, everything appeared to be on an even keel.

But just after she stepped off stage, she received a call from her dad.

Read more:

He’d done some digging and uncovered the names of the three men who raped her when she was 12, resulting in her pregnancy with Tom.

One had died, but two were still alive – one of whom, according to Kitty’s dad, was an undercover police officer who had infiltrated the gang and gone on to become a detective chief superintendent before retiring.

“I’ve got an address. What you gonna do to then, love?” he asked her. “Have you decided?”

In an earlier scene, Kitty had confided in Holly that rather than go to the police, she might take matters into her own hands. “I might want to deal with it myself,” she said.

But will she succumb to her rage and risk blowing up her own life in the process? Or will she choose herself, her son Tom, Beth, and the rest of the Riot Women?

Sadly, tradition dictates that she’ll probably do the former…

“She’s often lied to, she’s often kicked about in life, and I think that she picks herself up in her own unique way – and that is exactly how you find her [at the beginning of the series]: smashing up cars and taking her revenge in only the way that she will,” said Craig.

But after beginning the slow process of reclaiming her voice and rebuilding her life, perhaps, just perhaps, she’ll surprise everyone.

“She’ll always find a way to solve things – but they just might be in a really, really unexpected way,” she added.

“There’s absolutely a second, third, fourth chance,” said Craig of how the drama champions new beginnings, redemption, or simply showing the world who you really are. “You can reinvent yourself. You can start again.”

We’re all rooting for you, Kitty.

Riot Women airs on BBC One and iPlayer.

Deepika Padukone Doesn’t Like Instagram Wishes? Farah Khan Reveals The Truth Behind Their Unconventional Friendship | Glamsham.com

by jummy84 October 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Director Farah Khan is making headlines once again, but this time, it is not due to her films. It is because of her entertaining and endearing cooking vlogs with her cook Dilip. The web can’t have enough of the two’s real chemistry and sense of humour as they jump from one celebrity house to the next, mixing up meals and giggles in equal proportions. Their latest trip to actor Rohit Saraf’s house, who plays the lead role in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, was no exception until a harmless joke raised unexpected controversy.

In the episode, Farah jokingly made a mention of Deepika Padukone’s oft-discussed 8-hour working day preference, which supposedly had the actress walking out of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s movie Spirit. After the going-viral video, speculations started doing rounds that Farah had dropped Deepika and her husband Ranveer Singh from her social media following list, fuelling the gossip.

Farah has now cleared the controversy in an interview with Pinkvilla, putting things in place. “To start with, we were not following each other earlier, too!” she clarified. As per her, at the time of shooting Happy New Year in 2014, she and Deepika had a mutual decision to not use Instagram for communication. “We had made a pact… we don’t even give birthday wishes on Insta because Deepika doesn’t like it,” she stated.

Regarding the controversial 8-hour remark, Farah asserted it was just a joke. “It was not a jibe; it was to get Dilip to speak and say that he will work 8 hours now when actually he works only for 2 hours!” she chuckled. She also divulged that she was among the earliest to drop by Deepika’s place after the arrival of her daughter, Dua, and added, “Not everything is Instagram-and-pap done.”

Farah also responded to another social media-driven rumour between her and Karan Johar supposedly snubbing Aayush Sharma at the premiere of Homebound. She denied the rumor, clarifying that they had already met Aayush prior to walking the red carpet. “It can actually create issues between people,” she stated regarding such online rumors. “Fortunately, I take up the phone and call them before it escalates further!”

Though Farah Khan is perhaps famous for her hit movies, her down-to-earth attitude towards relationships—and her viral kitchen exploits keep winning hearts online and offline.

bitchy | Edward Enninful won’t work with Duchess Meghan again, doesn’t want to ‘repeat myself’

by jummy84 September 23, 2025
written by jummy84

Edward Enninful is trying to rebuild his career or do something new. Two years ago, he left British Vogue after a six-year stint as editor-in-chief which revolutionized the magazine. Before Enninful, British Vogue was pretty staid and not inclusive in the least. Enninful put women of color on the cover, he brought in the Duchess of Sussex to guest-edit the magazine (in what would become the highest-selling issue in the mag’s history), and he prioritized global fashion and more international models. It’s widely believed that Enninful left British Vogue after he made a play to replace Anna Wintour and he got outmaneuvered. Whatever happened, Enninful is only hinting at it these days. He’s launched his own media company, EE72, and he’s launched a new quarterly magazine, 72 (his birth year is 1972). To promote the new venture, Enninful gave a lengthy interview to the Times of London, and it’s worth talking about some of these quotes.

He doesn’t blame Anna Wintour for his departure from Conde Nast. “I feel I really changed Vogue, and my work was pretty much done. I’ll have fond memories but I was never going to do a lifetime’s service. I couldn’t have done what Anna has done.”

He swears he hasn’t fallen out with Wintour. “I text a bit. I had a great run at Vogue. I’m different; I don’t have rules. I have boundaries, but I allow creative freedom. I have no forbidden colours, though I don’t embrace colour myself. I prefer to hide and get on with the job.” What about British Vogue’s new head of editorial content, Chioma Nnadi? “She’s very competent,” he says, as icy as Wintour suddenly.

He isn’t focused on class: “I love King Charles and Queen Camilla — I went to the coronation with Katy Perry. I am happy to have them in the magazine. They care about the same things I do.”

The rise of sexism: “Women constantly need to be vigilant, and I am there for the fight. There is the manosphere, but that is not my world or reality — Andrew Tate is not my thing. But I think we must meet the young on their platforms to counter him, give them something else, more optimism. Gen Z are very interesting. They care about issues; they are curious. They need to be protected as they navigate this new online world and I want to do it with them.”

His comments about the Duchess of Sussex: That is what Enninful does so adeptly: he loves gossip, rarely falling out with celebrities in the highly fraught fashion world — the Duchess of Sussex is rumoured to be one of the few exceptions after she guest-edited the September 2019 edition of Vogue. He pauses. “Meghan and I had a great moment with the issue we did, but I feel like I have done it and I wouldn’t necessarily repeat myself.”

[From The Times]

Leaving the EIC position after six years because he felt his work was “done”?? Bizarre. Whatever happened – and we still don’t know – it feels less Game of Thrones and more like The Office, you know? Just petty office politics rather than a larger falling out. As for what he says about Meghan… curious wording from the Times and curious wording from Enninful. Earlier this year, there were some really odd stories about Enninful and Meghan falling out in 2022 because he wouldn’t give her a British Vogue cover or something. The nonsensical stories felt like they were coming from Enninful’s camp or they were happening with his approval. I strongly suspect that Enninful asked Meghan for a favor (something like, “will you appear on the cover, it would really help me out”) and she said no. I suspect that because he’s behaving like HE got jilted. Honestly, his public insistence that he doesn’t want Meghan for a cover shows that he’s a bad editor too, right? Like… why would you not want one of the most famous women in the world on the cover of your start-up magazine?

‘Jab tak aap kisi ko loot nahi rahe…’: Akshay Kumar says he doesn’t care about being labelled as money-minded

Updated on: Sept 21, 2025 07:26 pm IST

Akshay Kumar dismissed the money-minded tag put on him and said that money is an important factor in life and one needs to be practical.

Actor and producer Akshay Kumar is one of the highest-tax-paying celebrities in India. The actor, who has been busy promoting his latest film, Jolly LLB 3, recently appeared on Aap ki Adalat, where he commented on the accusation that he is money-minded.

Akshay Kumar talked about the importance of earning money.

What Akshay said

During the conversation, Akshay said, “Agar paisa kamaya hai toh loot ke nahi kanaya. Maine kaam karke kamaya hai. 8 saal se I have been the highest taxpayer (I have earned money but not by stealing from someone. For the last 8 years I have been the highest tax-payer) Toh, it cannot be that I am money-minded or anything. Money is an important aspect in life, you have be practical.”

‘Paisa kamata hu, tax deta hu’

He added, “Paisa kamata hu, tax deta hu, aur un paiso se kaafi seva karta hoo. Ye mera dharam he. Baki chahe kuch bhi kahe main kuch biswas nahi karta… agar ap ko pheete katne se paisa milta hai toh kya problem hain? Woh paisa dene ko taiyaar he? Jab tak aap kisi se chori nahi kar rahe, jab tak aap kisi ko loot nahi rahe ho, jab tak ap mehnat kar rahe hain tab tak koi problem nahi he (I earn money, I pay the tax, and I serve. That is my religion. Rest, many will say a lot of things I do not care. If someone wants to pay you for attending an event, then why not take it? What is the problem with that? Unless you are stealing from someone and earning it by sheer hard work it is completely okay). I don’t care if they have to say money-minded…”

Akshay also added that many years ago, he had to invest his own money to finish a film due to the producer’s financial issues.

Akshay’s Jolly LLB 3 released in theatres last Friday. The film also stars Arshad Warsi and Saurabh Shukla in pivotal roles. It has crossed ₹45 crore at the box office so far.

bitchy | Royalist: King Charles ‘doesn’t spend a lot of time thinking about the whole Harry thing’

by jummy84 September 7, 2025
written by jummy84

My guess is that Prince Harry will fly into the UK at some point this weekend. We don’t know any details about his schedule other than the WellChild Awards are scheduled for Monday. I have no doubt that Harry has shared some or all of his schedule with Buckingham Palace, just as I’m sure that any information given by Harry probably travels through four layers of palace bureaucracy before it gets to King Charles. All of which to say, if Charles and Harry do have any kind of meeting, there are probably a dozen palace busybodies involved with coordinating it, all of those busybodies have direct lines to most of the royal rota. Speaking of, Tom Sykes at the Daily Beast/Royalist Substack has a new exclusive about the Meeting Which Will Probably Not Happen. As it happens, it feels like Sykes’ sources are less “backstabbing courtiers to the king” and more “Prince William’s vile associates” and “Camilla’s handymen.”

Prince Harry has not spoken to his father, brother or stepmother since he gave a BBC interview four months ago, accusing palace insiders of wanting him dead and his father of not caring about his security, The Daily Beast can exclusively reveal. Harry and Charles’s office both did not comment to The Royalist, but three separate friends of the King, the Queen, and a friend William who used to also be close to Harry, told The Royalist there has been zero contact between Harry and the royals since Harry’s blistering BBC interview of 2 May this year in which Harry said of his father, “He won’t speak to me.”

While news of the ongoing froideur does not definitively rule out the prospect that there could be a quiet rapprochement between father and son when Harry is in the U.K. on Monday for the WellChild Awards, it does not bode well.

A friend of the King bluntly told The Royalist: “Charles doesn’t spend a lot of time thinking about the whole Harry thing. He is focused on the job, his duty and his wife. Just yesterday, he was at a cancer hospital, talking to patients, so I think that gives a good sense of his priorities. The King’s position is clear. He was hugely saddened and hurt by what Harry said, as any father would be, but he loves both his sons. The situation is simply that nothing has changed.”

Asked if the King being willing to restore relations with Harry was contingent on Harry apologizing, the source snapped: “Any suggestion that an apology is being demanded is completely false.”

A friend of Queen Camilla conceded, however, that an apology from Harry would help, saying: “Camilla would like nothing more than for it to be happy families, but the fault is not with her husband. The King has wished Harry and Meghan well, publicly and privately. But he has been put in an invidious position by Harry saying, on television interviews and in books, that Camilla was prepared to leave ‘bodies in the street’ to become Queen. It is completely untrue, as Camilla never, ever wanted to be Queen, it was Charles who wanted it so badly. Charles just can’t sit down for a cup of tea with someone who has said something that disgusting about his wife. If Harry would really like to see his father, he has to say the hardest word. It may stick in his throat but he has to say it. Harry talks a lot about accountability. How about some accountability on Harry’s part for the damage he’s caused?”

The friend added that Harry was naïve if he had expected his relationship with his father to survive his attacks on Camilla, saying, “Charles has made it very clear Camilla is the most important thing in his life.”

This sense that Camilla is “the most important thing in Charles’s life” is one you often hear from their friends.

[From The Royalist]

To think, I actually had high hopes that both sides were turning the page after Tobyn Andreae met with the Sussexes’ reps in London. I was like… well, it’s happening slowly, but eventually something will come of it. If this is the way it really is over there, I hope Harry is well aware and prepared for the waves of bullsh-t coming his way. It would be funny as hell if Harry ended up issuing yet another statement about how his dogsh-t father refuses to see him. Like… I get that seemingly everything these people do is for an audience of one (Harry) but they continue to look batsh-t insane to everyone else. Proudly stating that “Charles doesn’t spend a lot of time thinking about the whole Harry thing.” That quote should go in the Dogsh-t Father Hall of Fame. And all of the stuff about “Harry needs to apologize for what he said about Camilla” – LMAO. That old rottweiler is still FURIOUS that the redheaded stepchild called her out so thoroughly.

Recent Travel & New Job

The courtroom drama around Cardi B’s civil assault trial continues.
——————————-
Psychiatrist James Rosenberg testified as a defense witness and told jurors he doesn’t believe the plaintiff, Emani Ellis, suffers from PTSD.
——————————-
Ellis, a former security guard, claims Cardi scratched her face with a long fingernail during a February 2018 dispute at a medical facility where Cardi was for a pregnancy checkup.
——————————-
Rosenberg explained that after evaluating Ellis for about six hours in 2023, he found “no significant evidence” that she sustained an emotional injury.
——————————-
He noted that Ellis reported traveling to Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Mexico, and also taking on a more demanding job since the alleged incident. According to his testimony, those activities are inconsistent with the symptoms of severe PTSD, which often include withdrawing from others, avoiding social interaction, and struggling to maintain employment.
——————————-
Ellis is suing Cardi B for $24 million in damages. Jurors will return to Los Angeles County Superior Court in Alhambra, California, next week to hear closing arguments. *If you’ve been following the trial, which way do you think it’s leaning?* ?

After the Hunt review: Julia Roberts academia drama doesn’t make the grade

by jummy84 August 29, 2025
written by jummy84

At the outset, she and her husband Fredrik (Michael Stuhlbarg) are hosting drinks. Maggie, who is gay and in a relationship, is escorted home by Hank. But before long, she is back on Alma’s doorstep, sobbing. She explains: Hank came up for a drink, while Maggie’s partner was absent. They kissed, but it went further than she wanted. “He assaulted me,” she says. But did he?

When Alma confronts Hank, he claims it all stems from a discovery he made about Maggie, that she plagiarised her dissertation. With her parents billionaire donors to the university, Maggie comes from a background of wealth and entitlement. That she is also Black adds to the complex dynamic, with Maggie operating in a world largely dominated by straight white cis men.

As tempers flare, Maggie decides to press charges against Hank, while Alma tries to steer clear, fearful of her own position. Scripted by actress Nora Garrett, making her debut as a screenwriter here, what follows is a battle of wills. Suffering from an illness that’s causing her to vomit, Alma starts to unravel as relations between her and Maggie morphs into something more pernicious.

Directing this is Luca Guadagnino, the Italian filmmaker behind the more plainly enjoyable Call Me by Your Name (which featured Stuhlbarg) and Challengers. But After the Hunt feels like a muddled film that gets away from him, too often filled with characters mired in academic debates about morals and ethics that will likely go over most viewers’ heads, unless you happen to be a philosophy graduate.

Bizarrely, the film also starts exactly like a Woody Allen film: the jazzy score, over black-and-white titles, with the cast listed in alphabetical order, a tradition that Allen employed for years across his canon. Is it an homage to Allen? Or a subtle nod to the personal issues that have blighted his life in later years? According to Guadagnino, it could be a bit of both.

It’s not the only time the director borrows from other, better works. Todd Field’s cancel culture tale Tár, set in the similarly cloistered world of classical music, tackled the subject with much greater complexity. And then, Justine Triet’s Oscar-winning Anatomy of a Fall, with its prickly use of loud music interrupting a conversation, gets a nod, in a grating dinner scene involving Maggie, Fredrik and Alma.

With a whiny score by the usually on-point Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, at least it has Julia Roberts in full swing. The actress relishes shouldering such a wannabe watercooler film, and there’s something pleasurable in watching her character gradually lose it (including her shocking abuse of Maggie’s non-binary partner). But this isn’t an easy film to digest, perhaps because it’s filled with “privileged, coddled hypocrites”, as one person says. Still, as a portrait set on the frontlines of ‘woke-dom’, it gives a hornets’ nest a real kicking.

After the Hunt arrives in UK cinemas on 20th October 2025.
