Festive spirit takes over Punjab, Haryana on Diwali

by jummy84 October 20, 2025

Chandigarh, People in droves celebrated Diwali with gaiety and enthusiasm across Punjab and Haryana on Monday, with devotees queuing up in front of temples and gurdwaras, and citizens thronging market places for last-minute shopping across the two states and their twin capital Chandigarh.

Festive spirit takes over Punjab, Haryana on Diwali

Candles, ‘diyas’ and electric lights dotted houses as people exchanged sweets and gifts to ring in the festival of lights.

People thronged the market places for last-minute shopping as a festive spirit pervaded the two states and their joint capital Chandigarh.

Security was tightened across the region, especially in and around the vital installations, markets and places of worship, officials said.

Governors and chief ministers of Punjab and Haryana extended their warm greetings to the people on the occasion.

Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator, Gulab Chand Kataria, greeted people on Diwali, while Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also extended his warm wishes to the citizens.

Kataria said the festival of lights symbolises the victory of peace over conflict, good over evil, and light over darkness, and appealed to people to celebrate Diwali in an environment-friendly manner.

Haryana Governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh said, “I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Haryana and the nation as a whole. May this festival of lights illuminate everyone’s life with courage, vigour, sagacity and enduring good health!”

Ghosh also said that as the nation celebrates the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil, “let us work harder to drive India towards a future rooted in harmony, inclusiveness and compassion”.

The governor expressed hope that the festival would inspire citizens to strengthen the bonds of unity, fraternity and goodwill, and to contribute meaningfully to the progress and prosperity of the state and the nation.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said Diwali symbolises prosperity, harmony, and enlightenment, as he appealed to the citizens to celebrate Diwali in an eco-friendly manner, and fulfil their responsibility towards cleanliness.

Earlier in the day, Saini extended Diwali greetings to Governor Ghosh and his wife Mitra Ghosh, and exchanged sweets with them.

“It is a matter of great joy and pride that under the guidance of the Honourable Governor, the state is moving forward with new momentum and energy in its development,” Saini said in a post on X.

Haryana Police, meanwhile, took up the task of spreading happiness on Diwali, with many of its personnel visiting orphanages, old-age homes, slums, and the homeless.

Under a special initiative, police officers across the state selected areas in their respective jurisdictions, lit lamps with children and the elderly, and distributed sweets among them.

This Diwali is not just about lights, but also about human compassion and shared smiles, a statement issued by the police department said.

In Palwal, SP Varun Singla and his family celebrated Diwali with orphans and the destitute, lighting lamps, singing songs, and distributing sweets among the children.

“A true Diwali is when we can bring light into the lives of those in need. Sharing happiness with the underprivileged sections of society is the true meaning of this festival,” Singla said.

It is inarguably the best time to be a K-drama fan. Between chart-topping romantic dramas to gripping thrillers, there’s no dearth of entertaining Korean shows out there. Amidst the slew of titles coming in, we won’t blame you for missing out on a few gems every now and then. After all, how do you pick between Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee’s return to fighting evil in Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 and Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon’s unbearable cuteness in Lovely Runner? Luckily for us, we can always use the Diwali 2025 holiday weekend for some good old binge-watching. Bonus points if you add some laddus and chaklis to your catch-up sessions to make it festive.

While these have nothing to do with Diwali, here are some unmissable K-dramas to watch this holiday weekend:

No Gain, No Love
Lovely Runner
Gyeongseong Creature Season 2
Marry My Husband
Love Next Door
Spice Up Our Love
The Judge From Hell
Family By Choice

No Gain, No Love
Lovely Runner
Gyeongseong Creature Season 2
Marry My Husband
Love Next Door
Spice Up Our Love
The Judge From Hell
Family By Choice
Seoul Busters
Queen Woo

No Gain, No Love

Cast: Shin Min A, Kim Yong Dae, Han Ji Hyun, Lee Sang Yi, Joo Mingyung

Nobody, I repeat, nobody represents the modern girlboss like Shin Min A’s Son Hae Young. The romantic comedy No Gain, No Love sees the actress play a woman who hates losing out. She grew up thinking her mother prioritised the kids in their foster home over her and she carries that sense of missing out into her professional life. When she realises that married employees have better benefits in her company, she decides to fake a marriage in order to get ahead. However, do not be fooled by the comical plot. The show has some gut-wrenchingly emotional moments, and themes of loneliness and loss. Get ready to swoon over the romance and ugly cry within the span of the same episode.

Lovely Runner

Youtube 5kk0dYa8Ccc

Cast: Byeon Woo Seok, Kim Hye Yoon, Song Geon Hee, Lee Seung Hyub

Most K-drama fans did not expect Lovely Runner to turn into the success story it became. After several setbacks, the series arrived and climbed onto the No.1 spot on the charts within its premiere week. The show follows a K-pop fan who embarks on a quest to save her bias from his untimely death. The timeslip drama sees her go back to his high school days and decipher the truth behind his demise. But we wouldn’t get too caught up in the rules of time travel because very early on in the show, the narrative makes way for a heartfelt coming-of-age plot. Kim Hye Yoon and Byeon Woo Seok’s chemistry is top-notch and the warm, nostalgic setting only makes it better.

Gyeongseong Creature Season 2

Youtube YXf8jghqSuY

Cast: Park Seo Joon, Han So Hee, Wi Ha Joon, Claudia Kim

After the first season ended on a cliffhanger, Gyeongseong Creature returned for a second season. The show takes a time jump from 1945 Gyeongseong to 2024 Seoul. In the present day, Yoon Chae Ok, a survivor of the Spring of 1945 runs into Ho Jae, a man who looks exactly like Jang Tae Sang. The two go up against fresh horrors in a past-meets-present tale of destiny. While the show has its roots in the horror genre, the narrative includes politics, action and some thrilling subplots to make it an entertaining watch.

Marry My Husband

Youtube lfJGSxXf9Xg

Cast: Park Min Young, Na In Woo, Lee Yi Kyung, Song Ha Yoon, Lee Gi Kwang

We like to believe that What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim? star Park Min Young can do no wrong. And we’re almost always right. In the thoroughly entertaining Marry My Husband, the actress plays a woman who is diagnosed with cancer and discovers that her husband is cheating on her. Instead of dying, she finds herself transported 10 years into the past. She then goes on to get revenge along with her boss. The show has some great moments and some moments that fans of the original webtoon might find faults with. That being said, it remains an unmissable watch that’s worth your time.

Love Next Door

Youtube C3TpiZndAOo

Cast: Jung Hae In, Jung So Min, Kim Ji Eun, Yoon Ji On

There’s something endlessly endearing about watching childhood friends (or rivals) reunite in K-dramas. Love Next Door sees Jung Hae In and Jung So Min as the aforementioned childhood friends. The show revolves around a woman who leaves her seemingly perfect life abroad and returns to her hometown. Back home, her family will soon find out that she has quit her job and ended her engagement. Reuniting with her friend, now a successful architect, she sets out on a path of rediscovery. The leads’ easy chemistry when they’re fighting and bantering is palpable. And if you ask us, it carries the whole show.

Spice Up Our Love

Youtube 7_lIdB3tcpU

Cast: Han Ji Hyun, Lee Sang Yi, Lee Yoo Jin

If you couldn’t get enough of the supporting cast of No Gain, No Love, you’re in luck because the show has a spin-off. It follows a web novel writer who transforms into Seo Yeon Seo, a nutritionist who gets swept up in a swoon-worthy romance with Kang Ha Joon, a CEO. Between the meta moments and the fun romantic track, the show is a fun-filled ride. Spice Up Our Love is fan service at best and the makers know it.

The Judge From Hell

Youtube joZdiZ2W0zQ

Cast: Jae Young Kim, Park Shin Hye, Kyu Han Lee, Kim Ah Young

If you’re missing legal K-dramas, you might want to check out The Judge From Hell. The show serves up loads of courtroom drama along with some fantasy elements and solid character arcs. The show revolves around Kang Bit Na, a skilful judge with a dark secret – she isn’t human. She’s a demon tasked with bringing justice to the worst criminals and sending them to hell. Her mission is interrupted when she meets a detective and their stories get intertwined.

Family By Choice

Youtube hzd3USkqOjA

Cast: Hwang In Youp, Jung Chae Yeon, Bae Hyun Sung, Choi Won Young

Shows about found families will always be special. This one follows three friends who grew up together and developed a song bond. When they reunite years after high school, their past connections resurface. Amidst society’s judgement, they form an unconventional family unit as they decide to live together. The highlight? The whole plot is set against the backdrop of a charming beach town. Need we say more?

Seoul Busters

Youtube FTdVfEH0_RE

Cast: Lee Seung Woo, Kim Dong Wook, Park Se Wan, Park Ji Hwan

Seoul Busters is a rare comedic gem amidst all the rom-coms and thrillers. The show is an old-school comedy about oddball detectives from an underperforming precinct. Fed up with their incompetence, their boss moves them to a new office which doubles up as a play school for kids. Here they’re joined by the most accomplished detective in the country who in his quest for perfection wants to help them become the best police unit. The slapstick comedy and the loveable characters make this a light-hearted watch.

Queen Woo

Youtube x8ra5iPo0Qs

Cast: Jeon Jong Seo, Ji Chang Wook, Jeong Yu Mi, Lee Soo Hyuk

Any K-drama list is incomplete without a historical drama. Queen Woo follows the story of the Empress of Goguryeo. Upon her husband and King’s death, she becomes the target of princes and surrounding kingdoms amidst a succession war. However, Woo Hee isn’t one to back down from a fight. If you love watching historical war dramas and women in action, this one’s for you.

Received mithai and namkeen boxes as Diwali gifts? Things to know before your soan papdi, kaju katli binges

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Diwali 2025: Diwali is not complete without homes filled to the brim with staple mithai boxes, featuring classics like soan papdi, kaju katli, besan or motichoor ladoos. Likewise, namkeens, such as chakli, murukku, and mathri, also earned a spot in gift boxes. After Diwali, the namkeens and sweets are munched on for days and weeks, casually making up for snacks without a second thought. But it is important to maintain caution as the favourite festive treats come with serious health risks. To understand more about these risks of popular sweets, HT Lifestyle reached out to experts to learn about their nutritional drawbacks and what the labels may hide.

If you have mithai boxes like this, think twice before you scarf down their contents. (Picture credit: Gemini AI )

Unhealthy nutritional value

The popular sweets and namkeens are all laden with sugar, oil and sodium. (Picture credit: Gemini AI )

Dr Reshma Aleem, senior clinical dietitian at Rela Hospital, Chennai, told us that these sweets and namkeens should not be consumed in excess. Often, this is an instinct when one is presented with such a wide array of tasty snacks, but the dietician urged that control should be exercised.

“Popular festive sweets like soan papdi, kaju katli, ladoos, and namkeens often contain hidden sugars, fats, artificial flavourings, and preservatives. These can also be made using palm oil, which can harm your health when consumed in excess. Further, many traditional snacks that we usually bring home have high sodium, which can raise blood pressure, especially for seniors,” Dr Asleem said, shedding light on the harmful ingredients your favourite Diwali snacks are made of.

The dietician warned about health issues like sugar spikes, bloating, and indigestion. It is riskier for ailing people with diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol.

Healthier alternatives

You can mindfully enjoy snacks this festive season. The dietician reminded that moderation is the key that keeps all your consumption healthy.

Revealing some of the safe choices, Dr Aleem shared, “Choosing homemade or freshly prepared sweets with less or a moderate amount of sugar and better ingredients can reduce the risk. Eating baked snacks over fried snacks and keeping your body hydrated can support digestion.”

Not all sweets have the same quality; some may be made with low-quality ingredients. The dietician highlighted how one can spot the genuine ones, “ Pure milk solids (khoya), sweets are made with cheap, dangerous mixtures containing starch and detergents. In place of pure ghee, they may use vanaspati or even animal fats. Synthetic milk made with urea, caustic soda, and shampoo and silver foil used to decorate sweets, is replaced with a cheaper alternative made of aluminium.”

Avoid sweets like these with shiny, silver foil. (Picture credit: Gemini AI )

One of the reasons these snacks require caution is because of the presence of harmful ingredients and preservatives that can disrupt safe health parameters if eaten regularly.

Beware of labels

What about healthy sweets? Some sweets come with labels and tags that contain nutritious components. But how truthful are they?

Dr Saurabh Arora, PhD in Pharmaceutics, Managing Director at Auriga Research, revealed that often people don’t read labels and their choice is based on taste and value for money instead. He shared a big red flag that most of the seasonal, festive products lack proper nutritional labelling. Most importantly, gift packs flood the market this time, like Diwali, Bhai Dooj, so there’s a lack of verification regarding their content as well.

It is vital for people to exercise their discretion because ‘healthy sweets’ may contain incorrect labels. He said, “A challenge is that when so many new products and varieties are coming up, most of the companies are just blindly picking up, copying the nutritional value from someone else’s label. They are not even putting effort to get their own product tested and establish the nutritional value, or even analysing the recipe to come up with some rationale. They are just randomly publishing. I have seen the Jalebi product labelled as having 70% protein.”

This is why it is important not to trust flashy nutritional claims on seasonal sweet products during the festive season, as it may be more of a marketing hack than being actually nutritious.

How to read labels?

Dr Reshma Aleem revealed these two easy steps for checking labels:

  1. Look for FSSAI certification: Always check for proper FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) certification on packaged sweets.
  2. What to see: Check sugar levels, hydrogenated oils, calories, preservatives, and expiry dates.

Diwali 2025: A Look at Top Festive Scenes in Hollywood Films and TV Shows

by jummy84 October 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Diwali has always found its way into some of the most beloved Hollywood TV shows and films, featuring heartfelt moments to humorous misunderstandings. As the Festival of Lights continues to gain recognition around the world, these on-screen portrayals reflect a growing appreciation for South Asian culture. Here’s a look at how Diwali has been celebrated, or referenced, in popular Western media, from The Office to Never Have I Ever.

1. The Office – Diwali (Season 3, Episode 6)

This is the most iconic Diwali episode in American TV. Michael Scott (Steve Carell) and the Dunder Mifflin team attend a Diwali party hosted by Kelly Kapoor (Mindy Kaling). Michael mistakenly thinks it’s a costume party and arrives in costume but he eventually embraces the event’s true spirit and ends the night by proposing to his girlfriend, Carol. Elsewhere, Jim stays late at the office and gets involved in a drinking game with Andy. Pam later reaches out to connect with Jim, but he doesn’t respond.

2. Ms. Marvel – Episode 2

Diwali

While not entirely focused on Diwali, the show includes beautiful South Asian cultural representation, including festive attire, music and family gatherings that resemble Diwali celebrations. Kamala Khan continues to discover and test her new powers with the help of Bruno. She goes to a party with her friends and begins to uncover more about her family history through her great-grandmother’s mysterious bangle. Meanwhile, her friend Nakia decides to run for a position on the mosque board. Kamala also meets the charming Kamran, and later, he’s revealed to have a deeper connection to her story when he introduces her to his mother, who appears linked to the bangle. The episode ends with Kamala and Kamran bonding over their shared love of Bollywood, just before Kamran reveals that his mother has been wanting to meet Kamala.

3. Outsourced – Season 1, Episode 8

Diwali
Outsourced is a rom-com where a U.S. executive is sent to India and experiences cultural immersion, including a beautiful Diwali festival scene. In the episode, the American manager Todd immerses himself in the festival and gains a deeper understanding of its cultural importance. Wanting to support his team, he gives his employees time off to celebrate, choosing to handle work calls on his own. During this time, he ends up spending the night with his Australian colleague, Tonya.

4. Big Bang Theory – Occasional References

Diwali
While there’s no full Diwali episode, Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar) mentions Diwali multiple times and there’s at least one scene with the gang attending Indian festivities. They sing Bollywood songs like Munni Badnam and reference Indian culture humorously.

5. The Simpsons – Treehouse of Horror XXVIII

Diwali
A very short but colourful Diwali reference happens in one of the episodes of Simpsons. It is a glimpse in a montage-style moment. It is not a full scene, but worth a mention for including Diwali in a pop culture icon like The Simpsons.

6. Never Have I Ever – Season 2, Episode 4 (…Been a Perfect Girl)

Diwali
Devi attends a Ganesh Puja, which is similar in setting to Diwali with colourful outfits, family drama and cultural events. She attempts to befriend Aneesa, a new Indian student but things take a turn when she spreads a rumour. True but sensitive, the rumour is about Aneesa having an eating disorder. At the same time, Eleanor sneaks out with Devi and Aneesa to meet Malcolm. Meanwhile, Devi has an uncomfortable run-in with Ben, who makes it clear he’s still upset with her and that their friendship hasn’t been repaired.

7. The Resident (Medical Drama) – Season 2 Episode “00:42:30”

Diwali

The episode features a hospital-hosted Diwali celebration with Indian staff and patients taking part. It attempts to show diversity in medical settings with subtle but respectful Diwali representation.

Diwali 2025: Veterinarian doctor shares 5 tips to keep pets calm and safe from fireworks sounds

Happy Diwali 2025! Pet parents prepare in advance before Diwali evening to ensure your dogs and cats stay calm and stress-free.

Diwali 2025: The festival of light is a celebration for all of us, full of excitement and illumination, but when celebrated with crackers, many are excluded from joy. For many, bursting crackers are synonymous with Diwali celebrations. Besides the most immediate consequence, which is the emission of polluted gas, the loud sounds also overwhelmingly impact vulnerable groups, like elderly people and pets at home.

Dogs, anyway, have a heightened sense of hearing, so the sounds are intensely overstimulating for them. They become frightened, cowering in corners, trying to hide.

To address this concern of pet parents, HT Lifestyle spoke to Dr Deepak Saraswat, head vet at Zigly, who pointed out that noise sensitivity in pets can make Diwali stressful for them.

“Diwali brings bright sparkles and joy, but for dogs, the loud firecrackers can be quite stressful. Noise sensitivity in pets can make this festive time tough for our furry friends,” the vet shared.

The way forward is to ensure that pets feel comfortable and secure amid the celebrations. Typically, Diwali evening sees a series of explosions with people everywhere bursting crackers at the same time. There’s no breather space, but just constant explosive noises. This can be very disorienting and anxiety-inducing for dogs.

Veterinarian doctor Saraswat shared 5 tips for pet parents so that they can prepare beforehand and reduce their pet’s stress:

1. Make a quiet, safe place

  • Create a quiet space in your home, not near windows or doors. Put your dog’s favourite bed, blankets, and toys to make it warm and inviting.
  • Closing curtains and closing windows are good at muffling large noises and protecting from flashing lights. This may calm your dog when the celebrations get noisy.

2. Use soothing sounds

  • Play calming music or switch on the television in the background to drown out firework noises.
  • Soft tunes or pet playlists reduce anxiety and distract your dog from sudden booms.
  • This creates a more peaceful indoor environment and helps your pet relax during peak cracker hours.

3. Keep close and comfort your dog

  • Being in their presence does matter. Spend more time with them nearby, offer gentle cuddles, and console your dog if he/she seem to be tense.
  • Some dogs enjoy massages or snuggle sessions, monitor their reaction, and calm them down in a way that they like.
  • Please don’t leave them at home alone, especially on late nights when crackers are most potent.

4. Schedule early walks and limit time outdoors

  • Organise walks early morning or during quieter periods, far from cracker spurts.
  • Always keep your dog on a leash and avoid noisy, crowded areas.
  • For safety, it is best not to take your dog out when there are likely to be fireworks, and ensure home doors and gates are shut to avoid accidental release.

5. Use calming products if necessary

  • If your dog is excessively anxious, consider using calming products like anxiety vests, or pheromone diffusers that your vet recommends.
  • These provide soothing comfort through pressure or calming fragrances.
  • Be sure to consult your vet first before attempting new remedies, and have your pet’s water bowl full to help alleviate stress and dehydration.

His favourite crackers- “I think simple firecrackers like phuljhadi would be nice. So yeah, that is something you can do and yeah, phuljhdis are nice.”

His favourite Diwali mithai- “As far as the sweets are concerned, any sort of laddoos are nice. Besan ke laddoos, Moti chur ke laddoos. Just give me any laddoos. Or Modaks also maybe. I love Modaks. And Modaks, laddoos, they all are welcome.”

His favourite Diwali namkeen- “As far as namkeen is concerned, anything spicy, anything sweet or a mixture of both, anything is more than welcome.”

His favourite film to watch on Diwali- “Any nice, feel-good family movie would be nice to watch after puja, dinner, and all the cards that you’ve played. That’s what I’ve done. And it’s been a ritual with my mom and dad that I go for a movie with them every Diwali. It’s been, I don’t know, from as far as I remember, since I was like five or six maybe, every Diwali. We’ve gone for a movie on the day of Diwali, so that’s been a ritual. So I love the popcorn. I love watching the movie with my parents on the biggest screen possible in a theatre. That’s always been a ritual.”

His favourite game(s) to play with family or friends, or Diwali- “Of course, cards. I’m very big on that. I’m a Delhi kid, so I’ve played Teen Patti all my life, and I’m pretty good at it too. So, of course, this is a no-brainer. I play Teen Patti, which is a card game, on Diwali.”

But as we speak right now, I can hear the firecrackers being burst outside my house in my society. The kids are pretty big on that. So that is the best side because I love the society kids, and they are my good friends. And just to see them enjoying makes me feel happy. So I would say my society.”

Shaan R Grover is an actor and producer best known for his role as Mahesh Iyer in the 2025 hit film Saiyaara. After years of hard work in digital and OTT projects, he has finally achieved mainstream success.

Diwali 2025 | My Diwali is going to be quiet with home cooked food, says Vaani Kapoor

by jummy84 October 19, 2025
written by jummy84

While the Indian film industry is buzzing with Diwali shenanigans, actor Vaani Kapoor is looking forward to a peaceful Diwali today with her closed ones and home cooked food this year. “I have planned a quiet Diwali this year with a few close people, home cooked food, and no social calendar pressure. I think the best way to celebrate is to keep it warm, kind, and mindful. light diyas, share sweets and happiness with those who may not get to celebrate the same way,” she shared.

Vaani Kapoor loves gujiyas and motichoor laddoos.

Born and raised in Delhi, Vaani has a vivid memory of her childhood of celebrating Diwali. Sharing more, she said, ” I remember the chaos clearly, cousins everywhere, diyas half-lit, someone burning the chakri too close to their feet. Delhi Diwalis were colorful with dance, food and family coming together in the best way.”

Sharing further, Vaani revisited the festival rituals with her family, “We always start with a pooja that turns into a mini family roast. Someone’s forgotten the matchbox, someone’s complaining about the sweets ..it’s a full chaos,” she joked.

Vaani also tried her hands at home decor during the festivities whenever she was back home. “It’s diyas everywhere, fresh flowers and delectable food. I do try to make it home for Diwali , but there are times when work commitments have kept me away, so we at least FaceTime longer when apart,” she informed.

Diwali is the season of buying new things but Vaani feels the opposite. “I think Diwali feels more special when it’s less about new things and more about lighter, calmer energy and being around people who you love.” she added,

Besides the festival of lights, Diwali is widely known for its delicacies and Vaani, who has Punjabi genetics too is a big time foodie. “Gujiyas and motichoor laddoos are my favourite during Diwali,” said the 37-year-old actor.

But on the other side, Vaani isn’t a cook and doesn’t contribute much to the food table amid celebrations. “My contribution is usually lighting diyas. Also, I live alone, so I don’t really cook an elaborate Diwali meal, but I do try to make something that feels nostalgic, it’s my way of bringing a bit of home to wherever I am. It feels grounding. I think food carries so much of the emotion of Diwali, the comfort, the nostalgia, the love more than any firecracker ever could,” she concluded.

Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey threw one of the season’s most glamorous Diwali party, gathering popular television and film faces. The superstar-studded bash was abuzz with sparkle, laughter, and festive cheer, making it a night to cherish.

Among the numerous celebrities in attendance were Rithvik Dhanjani, Zakir Khan, Ayesha Khan, and Abhishek Kumar. But what really got the fans talking was the sighting of Udaariyaan co-stars and rumored exes, Ankit Gupta and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. Although they did not walk in together or take selfies, their appearance under one roof revived speculation on their relationship status. According to viral clips, Ankit was spotted walking in with Abhishek Kumar, while Priyanka confidently walked in alone, impressing the paparazzi with her elegance.

Both actors were slaying serious holiday fashion goals. Ankit wore a regal black Indo-Western sherwani with elaborate floral embroidery, a mandarin collar, and elaborately detailed sleeves. Priyanka stole the show in an elegant black and gold ensemble, complete with a strapless corset and golden leaf-patterned motifs and a black draped skirt. She wore a choker necklace and her hair tied back in a neat bun.

On the professional front, Ankit was last seen acting in Maati Se Bandhi Dor as Rannvijay Rana, opposite Rutuja Bagwe. Priyanka, who is best known for playing Tejo in Udaariyaan, rose further to fame after appearing in Bigg Boss 16.

The two friends on Udaariyaan and Bigg Boss 16 once had a firestorm of dating rumors. Even though both have maintained they are merely friends all along, gossip resurfaced early in 2025 when news came out that they had unfollowed one another on social media. Their latest public outing only fueled existing fan interest.
