Against the backdrop of the historic 1985 Supreme Court ruling, HAQ tells the story of Shah Bano’s fight to establish her identity as an Indian as well as a Muslim woman who wants justice under the secular law. Yami Gautam gives a moving performance as a woman caught in between religion and justice, while Emraan Hashmi as Abbas personifies the onus of tradition and personal belief.

Coming from Martin’s popular The Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas, the show is 100 years prior to Game of Thrones and 100 years after House of the Dragon. The show tracks Ser Duncan the Tall — a simple, chivalrous, and somewhat innocent knight — and his improbable squire, a clever youth known as Egg, who has an unexpected secret.

Former Irish rugby player Peter Claffey plays the part of Ser Duncan, with Dexter Sol Ansell playing Egg. The show takes viewers back to a different time in Westeros, one where the Targaryen rule still holds, and the last dragon has not yet disappeared from living memory.

Unlike its predecessors, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms promises to be lighter. Described as having a “buddy comedy” feel, the show is notable for having more character interactions and personal quests than epic battles. Bugonia stars Emma Stone as Michelle, a powerful, self-assured corporate executive whose life is turned upside down when she is kidnapped by two eccentric men obsessed with conspiracy theories. But this isn’t a standard kidnapping — there’s no demand for ransom, no threats over money or power. Instead, her captors are convinced that Michelle is not a human being, but an alien sent to Earth as part of a plot to destroy it.

The trailer hints at an offbeat and chaotic ride, with Michelle desperately trying to reason with her abductors, only to realize that logic doesn’t work when you’re up against delusion. Netflix is set to release Romantics Anonymous, a new Japanese-Korean series that has been creating huge waves on the internet. Scheduled for October 16 release, the 8-episode show features well-known Japanese actor Oguri Shun and Korean Han Hyo Joo, and is adapted from the 2010 French-Belgian romantic comedy film of the same name.

The just-released trailer gives a peek into the bittersweet yet complex relationship between two vastly different people — both united by their shared love of chocolate. Han Hyo Joo plays Lee Ha Na, who is shy and tries not to make eye contact because of nervousness. Oguri Shun stars as Fujiwara Sosuke, a germaphobe chocolatier who has trouble with physical touch. Though they are not each other’s “type,” the couple repeatedly finds themselves thrown together in uncomfortable, witty, and poignant moments that push their limits — and slowly bring them closer.

The melodrama is not only about romance, but also explores emotional recovery and identity. Secondary characters also have an effect on the development of the central couple. Irene, who is both a doctor and therapist to Sosuke and Ha Na, assists the two in dealing with internal issues, although she herself struggles with alcoholism. Takada Hiroshi, an owner of a bar and Sosuke’s closest friend, happens to be an unsuspecting object of desire for Ha Na.

The cast also features Akanishi Jin, Nakamura Yuri, Narita Ryo, and Ito Ayumi, among others, to add richness and variety to the story.

The trailer for the much-awaited romantic drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat dropped on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, and social media buzzed with excitement. The film, directed by Milap Zaveri, features Sonam Bajwa and Harshvardhan Rane in the lead and will release on Diwali on October 21, 2025.

The film traces the steamy romance between Vikramaditya and Adaa Randhawa, played by Harshvardhan and Sonam, respectively. October brings with it the spooky season, and Netflix is leaning right into the chills with the release of the first full trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s highly anticipated Frankenstein. Fans finally get their first real look at Jacob Elordi as the iconic creature — a haunting presence that had, until now, remained shrouded in mystery. The trailer, featuring a chilling voiceover, offers a spine-tingling glimpse at Elordi’s monstrous transformation.

The movie features an all-star cast headed by Oscar Isaac, who portrays Victor Von Frankenstein, the brilliant scientist whose pursuit of bringing life into existence comes with catastrophic repercussions. Elizabeth Lavenza, Victor’s fiancée, is portrayed by Mia Goth, stuck in a maelstrom of love, ambition, and gothic horror.

Del Toro’s take on the classic guarantees a sweeping, visually lush retelling of Mary Shelley’s novel, remaining true to its motifs of identity, obsession, and isolation, and adding his trademark dark fantasy design on top.
