Small Yet Significant Details That You Need to Know Before Your Next Rewatch

Guillermo del Toro‘s Frankenstein had been a passion project of his long before Netflix came on board. The filmmaker had dreamed of reimagining Mary Shelley’s classic tale for years, blending his signature gothic style with the emotional depth and moral complexity that defined his work.

Starring Oscar Isaac as Dr. Victor Frankenstein, Jacob Elordi as The Creature, and Mia Goth as Lady Elizabeth Harlander, the epic period piece is being hailed as a masterclass in filmmaking, with del Toro crafting each scene in painstaking detail to bring his haunting vision to life.

For casual viewers, it might have come across as a blur of elaborate sets and stunning costumes meant to prop up the story. But for those familiar with del Toro and his body of work, there was always a deeper layer, as every costume choice and set detail added a new dimension to the story.

Below are a few we found. Please enjoy.

When Gavin Met Stacey details how a party brought about the finale

by jummy84 November 11, 2025
written by jummy84

This month’s Radio Times Book Club, sponsored by Dr. Oetker Ristorante, pick tells the story of one of Britain’s best-loved comedies, in a series of conversations between its co-creators James Corden (Smithy) and Ruth Jones (Nessa).

In this excerpt, they discuss how last Christmas’s finale – watched by more than 20 million people — came to be…

James: I’d always thought we should do another one. By the end of series three we had ten million viewers. And it just felt like the show wasn’t going away. People would keep saying, “Go on, do another one”.

Ruth: It was Mexico that clinched it.

James: It was my 40th [in 2018] and my wife, Jules, organised a birthday weekend in Mexico. She flew in my oldest school friend, Sheddy, and she had friends from all over the world fly in. But it was all a massive surprise.

Ruth: Julia messaged me and asked, “Would you consider coming to Mexico for it?” And it was strange, because you and I hadn’t really been massively in touch. In fact, I think the last time we’d seen each other was the previous Christmas, when you came over from LA and were staying in a hotel in London, and I remember going there to see you, and being very polite in front of you. Because at that stage you’d so gone into the stratosphere, fame-wise.

And I think that disparity is difficult for people sometimes. So Mexico was really key, because then we spent time talking about what a new Gavin & Stacey episode would be. [Before that] I just didn’t want to go back there at all. And I think you did. Then in Mexico we all had to hide away. We knew that you were going to be inside this villa thing, and we all had to gather outside and put sombreros on. One by one, people had to go in.

James: Yes, suddenly this mariachi band strikes up, and all these people come in. John Bishop’s there, and all these people I know are marching in wearing sombreros. Then someone opens my laptop, and Tom Cruise is on it, telling me that my mate Sheddy is here, and then he walks in, and then Jules goes, “There’s one more person here…” And you walked in, and I was unbelievably happy to see you.

When Gavin Met Stacey.

Ruth: It was so emotional. And it’s really weird, because I don’t think I always appreciate how much you love me. And partly I was thinking, “Surely he’ll be more excited about seeing John Bishop, or someone?” But I walked in and you literally burst into tears. I was kind of shocked that it meant so much to you.

James: It was amazing. We had the best weekend. And because we’d always laughed about the fact that you had sung Wild Thing at your own wedding, we went to this restaurant and there was a band, and you got up and sang Wild Thing.

Ruth: It was just something I decided to do on the spot. I knew the only way I would get away with it was to absolutely, completely give it my all. And not think about the fact that there were professional singers there. I mean, Harry Styles was there, for God’s sake – he looked a bit in shock. I don’t know if it was in a good way or bad.

James: Yeah, it was an amazing time. And at some point during that birthday weekend, I said to you, “Do you want to think about doing more Gavin & Stacey? You know, I think it might be time.”

Ruth: Yeah, we had that conversation sitting by the pool during the day. It wasn’t like a drunken sudden decision or anything. It had been mentioned over the years so many times and while I said I wasn’t keen to do it, there were times when I did think about it, because I remember I used to make notes and write down my thoughts about what could happen if we did do a new episode.

And we used to text each other ideas and things like that as well. So it just felt, because now we’d finally come together after this period of not really being in touch, maybe that made it feel more concrete. I came away from the Mexico trip thinking, “Right let’s do this…”

Mia Goth Explains Hidden Details In Frankenstein

by jummy84 November 11, 2025
written by jummy84

The newest adaptation of Mary Shelley’s timeless novel Frankenstein has captivated audiences, with director Guillermo del Toro’s film being praised for being mostly faithful to the source material. Starring Australia’s own Jacob Elordi as The Creature and Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein, somehow it’s Mia Goth, as Elizabeth Lavenza, who steals the show — adorned by Tiffany & Co. jewels and 19th Century gowns. Her extensive wardrobe for Frankenstein came from the mind of Emmy Award-nominated costume designer Kate Hawley, who has worked on projects such as The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and Crimson Peak. Goth’s character Elizabeth has an interest in entomology and botany, so Hawley included nods to beetles and other insects through patterns and garment shapes. Along with wasp-waisted tight corsets, certain fabrics were also chosen to mimic paper-thin beetle wings.

RIIZE have revealed the details of their comeback – find out more below.

  • READ MORE: RIIZE are charting a rapid ascension in the K-pop industry – and they aren’t slowing down

Yesterday (November 2), the SM Entertainment group took to social media to release the cinematic trailer for ‘Fame’. Watch the trailer below.

‘Fame’ is due for release on November 24, with more details set to be revealed in the coming days. It is currently unclear what other songs will make up the K-pop boyband’s ‘Fame’ single album.

RIIZE most recently released the album ‘Odyssey’ in mid-May. It included tracks like ‘Fly Up’, ‘Midnight Mirage’, ‘Inside My Love’, ‘Another Life’, ‘Ember To Solar’ and more.

The album is RIIZE’s first release since founding member Seunghan left the group in October last year. His departure occurred only two days after Seunghan and SM Entertainment faced backlash after the latter announced his return to RIIZE following a year-long hiatus.

Shortly after, a number of K-pop retailers across the globe halted restocks of RIIZE merchandise “out of respect for our customers, fans, and the artist”. Although the label did not heed fans’ requests to add Seunghan back to the band, they announced he would debut as a soloist sometime this year. His debut solo album ‘Waste No Time’ arrived on July 31.

Will ‘The Beast in Me’ Return for Season 2? Cast, Details, More Updates

by jummy84 November 2, 2025
written by jummy84

What To Know

  • The Beast in Me is a Netflix thriller about an author investigating her enigmatic neighbor, a suspect in his wife’s disappearance.
  • Starring Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys, the series is billed as a limited series with no official renewal for Season 2.
  • All eight episodes of the first season will be released on Netflix on November 13.

Something tells us we’re going to want to see more from Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys‘ cat-and-mouse game in the new Netflix thriller, The Beast in Me, after the first season, which premieres in November.

Danes’ Aggie is an author who begins looking into Rhys’ Nile for her next book — he’s been accused of being behind his wife’s disappearance. Both are “the best at what they do,” showrunner and executive producer Howard Gordon previously told TV Insider. “They recognize in each other a kind of excellence, and it’s a kind of excellence that is a lonely excellence, really. …They’re both clever. They’re both alone. And the fact that they find each other in this improbable situation, I think, is what really gives it an extra dimension — aside from the sort of plot machinations and the cat and mouse of it all.” Doesn’t that sound like something you’d like to see across multiple seasons?

But will there be a Beast in Me Season 2? Read on for everything we know.

Is The Beast in Me renewed for Season 2?

No. The Beast in Me is billed as a limited series, which would suggest it won’t be back for a second season. However, other shows have been billed as such — including Untamed, also on Netflix — and returned for more.

When TV Insider asked Gordon about the possibility of another season, he told us, “The short answer is I would say, sure. … I think there probably is a story there.”

When is The Beast in Me premiere date?

All eight episodes of The Beast in Me Season 1 will be available to stream on Thursday, November 13, on Netflix.

Who’s in The Beast in Me cast?

In addition to Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys, the series stars Brittany Snow and Natalie Morales. Guest stars include Jonathan Banks, David Lyons, Tim Guinee, Hettienne Park, Deirdre O’Connell, Aleyse Shannon, Will Brill, Kate Burton, Bill Irwin, Amir Arison, and Julie Ann Emery.

Howard Gordon is showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Gabe Rotter is creator, writer, and executive producer. Also serving as executive producers are Danes; Antonio Campos (who is also the director); Daniel Pearle; Conan O’Brien, Jeff Ross, and David Kissinger for Conaco; Caroline Baron; and Jodie Foster. The series is written by Gabe Rotter (101 and 102), Erika Sheffer (103), C.A. Johnson (104), Daniel Pearle (101, 105, 108), Ali Liebegott (106), Mike Skerrett (107), and Howard Gordon (108).

What is The Beast in Me about?

According to Netflix, “Since the tragic death of her young son, acclaimed author Aggie Wiggs (Claire Danes) has receded from public life, unable to write, a ghost of her former self. But she finds an unlikely subject for a new book when the house next door is bought by Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys), a famed and formidable real estate mogul who was once the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance. At once horrified and fascinated by this man, Aggie finds herself compulsively hunting for the truth – chasing his demons while fleeing her own – in a game of cat and mouse that might turn deadly.”

Becky G Details Selena Gomez Friendship

by jummy84 October 31, 2025
written by jummy84

Becky G is grateful for this rare gem of a friendship.

The Encuentros singer gushed over her bond with Selena Gomez and the comforting lesson she’s learned from her.

“She’s been so authentic throughout her journey,” Becky, 28, exclusively told E! News at the TIME100 Next Gala on Oct. 30, where she was honored as a rising star. “We live in a time, especially when you’ve existed in an industry since a young age, where a lot of people try to tell you who you are. And that journey of finding your voice and becoming who you’ve always been on the inside is not an easy one.”

Indeed, the Revival singer, 33, has been vocal about finding her identity—both as a singer and a mental health advocate—over the last decade of her career. And for Becky (real name Rebbeca Marie Gomez), seeing Selena embrace that level of her self-love journey is inspiring.

“She’s been very courageous with that, and that’s something that I admire so much about her,” she continued. “She’s such a beautiful person inside and out.”

Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb in
TV & Streaming

Books, Cast, Premiere Date, Trailer, More Details

by jummy84 October 29, 2025
written by jummy84

Slow Horses just dropped its Season 5 finale, and the Apple TV adaptation of Mick Herron’s Slough House book series will be back for two more seasons.

The sixth season of Slow Horses has already been filmed, and based on the pattern of previous seasons, chances are it could be released in the fall of 2026.

The drama starring Gary Oldman has gotten early renewals from the start, with, for example, the Season 5 pickup coming just days after the Season 3 finale began streaming. Now that all of Season 5 is streaming, below, we’re taking a look at everything we know so far about Slow Horses Season 6, including the book on which it will be based, a premiere date, and more.

When was Slow Horses renewed for Season 6?

Apple TV announced that Slow Horses will be back for a sixth season in October 2024, less than a week after the fourth season’s finale began streaming. It will consist of six episodes.

“Audiences around the world have fallen in love with the Slow Horses, and I’m delighted that Gary Oldman will be leading this star-studded cast on another acerbic and action-packed adventure,” said Jay Hunt, creative director, Europe, Apple TV+, in a statement at the time.

When will Slow Horses Season 6 premiere?

It’s too soon to tell. Season 1 was released in April 2022, Season 2 in December 2022, Season 3 in November and December 2023, Season 4 in September and October 2024, and now Season 5 is set for September and October 2025. Season 6 has already been filmed, so it should be released sometime in 2026, likely in the fall.

On which book is Slow Horses Season 6 based?

Season 6 will actually cover two books, the sixth and seventh in Mick Herron’s series, Joe Country and Slough House.

The Joe Country synopsis reads as follows: “In Slough House, the London outpost for disgraced MI5 spies, memories are stirring, all of them bad. Catherine Standish is buying booze again, Louisa Guy is raking over the ashes of lost love, and new recruit Lech Wicinski, whose sins make him an outcast even among the slow horses, is determined to discover who destroyed his career, even if he tears his life apart in the process. Meanwhile, in Regent’s Park, Diana Taverner’s tenure as First Desk is running into difficulties. If she’s going to make the Service fit for purpose, she might have to make deals with a familiar old devil… And with winter taking its grip, Jackson Lamb would sooner be left brooding in peace, but even he can’t ignore the dried blood on his carpets. So when the man responsible for killing a slow horse breaks cover at last, Lamb sends the slow horses out to even the score.”

And the Slough House synopsis is: “At Slough House — MI5’s London depository for demoted spies — Brexit has taken a toll. The “slow horses” have been pushed further into the cold, Slough House has been erased from official records, and its members are dying in unusual circumstances, at an unusual clip. No wonder Jackson Lamb’s crew is feeling paranoid. But are they actually targets? With a new populist movement taking hold of London’s streets and the old order ensuring that everything’s for sale to the highest bidder, the world’s a dangerous place for those deemed surplus. Jackson Lamb and the slow horses are in a fight for their lives as they navigate dizzying layers of lies, power, and death.”

What is Slow Horses Season 6 about?

According to Apple TV, it “sees the Slow Horses on the run as Diana Taverner embroils them all in a fatally high-stakes game of retaliation and revenge.”

Who’s in the Slow Horses Season 6 cast?

The Season 5 cast consists of Gary Oldman (Jackson Lamb), Kristin Scott Thomas (Diana Taverner), Jack Lowden (River Cartwright), Saskia Reeves (Catherine Standish), Rosalind Eleazar (Louisa Guy), Christopher Chung as (Roddy Ho), Aimee-Ffion Edwards (Shirley Dander), Ruth Bradley (Emma Flyte), James Callis (Claude Whelan), Tom Brooke (J.K. Coe), and Jonathan Pryce (David Cartwright). Chances are we’ll see almost all, if not all, back; Whelan is no longer First Desk, but this is not the end of him in the books.

Is there a Slow Horses Season 6 trailer?

Not yet.

Jesse Williams Returning to ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 22: All the Details

by jummy84 October 24, 2025
written by jummy84

What To Know

  • Jesse Williams is returning as Jackson Avery in the fourth episode of Grey’s Anatomy Season 22, airing October 30 on ABC.
  • Jackson’s return follows a teaser showing him receiving a warm welcome at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital and coincides with a complex medical case involving Meredith Grey.
  • Williams, a longtime series regular who left in Season 17, has made several guest appearances since, with his character now living in Boston with April and their daughter.

Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) is back in the building at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital on Grey’s Anatomy‘s next episode.

Following the events of Season 22’s third episode, “Between Two Lungs,” a teaser revealed Jesse Williams’ beloved plastics guru alter ego is returning to the halls of the hospital once again.

In the teaser, Jackson walks alongside newly minted chief resident Ben Warren (Jason George) for a warm welcome with what seems to be the entire hospital staff.

Williams will appear in the fourth episode of the season, “Goodbye Horses,” the description for which tells us, “The interns juggle a bizarre trauma, while a complex breast reconstruction forces Meredith [Ellen Pompeo] into a tense partnership.” The episode airs on Thursday, October 30, at 10/9c on ABC.

Jesse Williams, who most recently starred in Prime Video’s new series Hotel Costiera, first joined Grey’s Anatomy early in the series’ sixth season, as one of the merging residents at Mercy West, and became a series regular in Season 7. He remained a key component of the medical drama, with Jackson experiencing love, unthinkable heartbreak, and personal and professional growth, until the actor left the show in Season 17.

He has since returned to the show several times, including in Season 18’s finale, which revealed that he and ex-wife April Kepner (Sarah Drew) had reunited romantically after they decided to move to Boston together for his professional dreams. Williams also appeared as Jackson in Season 19, when his character entertained a visit from Meredith Grey while she was in the city on business. He once again returned to Seattle for the events of the Season 21 premiere to intervene in the ongoing feud between Meredith and his mom, Catherine Fox (Debbie Allen), over the former’s research for a cure to Alzheimer’s disease.

Williams is the second major former Grey’s star to make a cameo on Season 22 so far. Previously, Kelly McCreary reprised her role as Maggie Pierce to help sister-ish Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) deal with the aftermath of the deadly OR wing explosion.

At last check-in, Jackson and April were happily together again, living with their shared daughter, Harriet, in Boston, as Jackson pursued his dreams of running the Catherine Fox Foundation with an eye on an equitable future for the organization. We’ll have to wait and find out whether there have been any major life status changes when next week’s episode airs on Thursday, October 30.
