Tate McRae Announces Deluxe Edition of ‘So Close to What’

SO CLOSE TO WHAT??? (deluxe) is out Nov. 21 and includes the singer’s latest hit, “Tit for Tat”

Tate McRae has had a busy weekend. On Friday, the pop star earned her first Grammy nomination, for “Just Keep Watching” from the F1 soundtrack. On Saturday, she wrapped her massive tour in Los Angeles — and announced the deluxe edition of So Close to What, out Nov. 21 via RCA.

SO CLOSE TO WHAT??? (deluxe) will feature several new tracks, including McRae’s recent hit “Tit For Tat,” which debuted at Number Three on the Billboard Hot 100. “We had a few more songs that I wanted to share with y’all to close out the SC2W era,” McRae wrote on Instagram. “I can’t wait for you to hear.”

McRae’s Miss Possessive Tour spanned 83 dates, including three nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden (two shows in September, and a third in October). At the MTV VMAs earlier this year, she performed a medley of the So Close to What cuts “Sports Car” and “Revolving Door.”

McRae released So Close to What, her third album, in Feb. 2025, and it debuted at Number One on the Billboard Hot 100 — her first LP to do so. In an interview with Rolling Stone, McRae said the title stems from “the idea of not being present at times, feeling like you’re trying to control everything, feeling perceived by so many people, feeling like I’m 21 and the oldest I’ve ever felt but also so young.”

She added: “In the moment, I’m [asking] ‘What do I want out of life? What do I want to do with my music? How do I want to change things?’ If people have an opinion on that, that’s their choice. If I can sleep well at night thinking about what I’m putting out there, then their opinions don’t matter.”

Oasis: (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? (30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) Album Review

by jummy84 November 1, 2025
written by jummy84

You might have heard, but Britpop’s greatest group returned this year in a blaze of summer-dominating, triumphal glory. Plus, easily missed, Oasis got back together, too.

Odd as it is to say now, Live ’25 wasn’t a nailed-on success. Questions swirled: Would the irascible brothers keep their egos and fratricidal instincts in check? Could they swerve notoriety for playing so slowly that the life drains out of even the most committed loyalist? Any chance the setlist might show proof of their existence past 2002? (Yes, yes, no.) Demand for the tour was insane, some 14 million trying for the UK dates alone, a nearly 600 percent leap on 1996’s immortalised pair of Knebworth shows.

Once the ticker tape from the opener in Cardiff confirmed that they were not just in decent form, but had actually exceeded all expectations, a funny kind of tremor swept Anglophiles the world over, like the aftershock of a bliss nuke. With tabloids and legacy music media fixated on tracking the brothers’ every move, even a brief pat on the back sent people doollally. Out went strappy tops and cigs, in came bucket hats and more cigs, as Planet Gallagher blotted out the sun. And lo, just in case you thought they hadn’t raked in enough cash already, here arrives the 30th anniversary edition of (What’s the Story?) Morning Glory, a reissue of a reissue of a reissue. You may not like it, but this is what Peak Oasis looks like.

As the world’s most ardent proponents of Lennonism, the only comparison Liam and Noel will brook these days is against their idols. So let’s begin there. Socially, in 2025, Oasis are bigger than the Beatles. Chalk it up to heavy competition in the ’60s, or a total collapse of aesthetic progression since the ’90s, but you can only tackle the void in front of you, and Oasis did so with brutal efficiency. If you cup your ear today to the ballad of the pub man, you won’t find gents in collarless grey suits harmonizing “Day Tripper” at closing time. What you will find, however, is middle-aged men greying around the temples and young lovers with live forever inked in cursive on their calves, arm in arm, belting one of modern rock’n’roll’s universal standards: “Champagne Supernova,” “Wonderwall,” “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” or, plausibly, all of the above.

Rocky Horror Picture Show Deluxe Vinyl: Buy Online

“The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is getting the golden treatment.

To celebrate the cult classic’s 50th anniversary, Ode Records has reissued the original movie soundtrack as a deluxe edition 180g red-in-gold vinyl, housed in a heavyweight gold-foil jacket. The collector’s release includes a newly designed inner sleeve, never-before-seen production photos and diary excerpts from producer Richard Hartley — offering fans a rare glimpse behind the curtain of one of cinema’s most subversive creations.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) – 50th Anniversary Red/Gold Vinyl

The reissue arrives amid a full-blown cultural revival for “Rocky Horror.” Over the past month, Los Angeles has hosted a string of celebratory events and a 4K HDR restoration hit theaters.

Adapted from Richard O’Brien’s 1973 stage musical, the 1975 film shattered conventions with its flamboyant characters, gender-bending performances, and anthemic rock soundtrack. Its interactive midnight screenings — complete with shadow casts, costumes and audience call-backs — transformed moviegoing into performance art and secured its status as the longest-running theatrical release in history.

“When it opened on Broadway a quarter-century ago, Variety succinctly and colorfully described ‘The Rocky Horror Show’ as ‘a garish, ear-assaulting musical put-on of pseudo-science and ambi-sex porno entertainment.’ Sounds fun, no?’” Variety film critic Charles Isherwood recalled in his review of the 2000 film adaptation. “Twenty-five years on, Christopher Ashley’s revival of O’Brien’s garish, ear-assaulting musical put-on of pseudo-science and ambi-sex porno entertainment is still quite a lot of fun — but it’s not likely to send Mayor Rudolph Giuliani into a tizzy. Today, the musical nearly qualifies as wholesome family entertainment.”

Miley Cyrus Shares ‘Something Beautiful’ Deluxe Edition

Miley Cyrus is back with more of Something Beautiful.

As promised in a social post earlier in the week, the veteran pop singer has dropped the deluxe edition, featuring the original LP’s 13 songs, plus two new tracks featuring rock icons.

The first of those fresh cuts is a number Cyrus has been teasing for several weeks, “Secrets,” a sweeping ballad featuring former Fleetwood Mac bandmates drummer Mick Fleetwood and guitarist/singer Lindsey Buckingham.

The now 15-track expanded LP closes with a collaboration featuring David Byrne, called “Lockdown.”

It’s not the first time Cyrus and Byrne have made music together. The “Wrecking Ball” singer swung onto the stage with the Talking Heads legend in 2022 for her NBC New Year’s Eve special, when they performed hit a duet on David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” as well as Byrne’s “Everybody’s Coming To My House.”

Cyrus’ ninth studio album, Something Beautiful arrived in May and includes collaborations with members of the bands Alvvays, Model/Actriz, the War on Drugs, as well as Danielle Haim, Flea, model Naomi Campbell and Brittany Howard. The album was accompanied by a musical film written and co-directed by Cyrus that premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and then played in theaters for one-night-only in June before moving to streaming on Hulu.

Something Beautiful peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, and is one of Cyrus’ 15 top 10 appearances on the albums chart, a tally that includes five leaders. She has led the Billboard Hot 100 on two occasions, with 2013’s “Wrecking Ball” (for three weeks) and 2023’s “Flowers” (for eight weeks).

The album release was followed with the short film of the same name. After its Tribeca premiere, Something Beautiful was shown as a one-night-only screening across North American theaters on June 12 and internationally on June 27.

Cyrus attended a listening event for fans in Los Angeles earlier this year, where she remarked: “I love making music with everybody on this carpet – I don’t do stages now,” a nod to news that she has no desire to tour again.
