written by jummy84

  • Acquisition details. Cvent announces the acquisition of Goldcast to add AI-powered video capabilities to its event marketing portfolio.
  • Platform integration. The combined offering links event execution with automated video creation, distribution and analytics.
  • Operational implications. The deal reflects growing demand for tools that extend the value of events across digital marketing and sales channels.

Cvent is betting that the future of event marketing lies in automated video content creation. The company announced Dec. 15 its acquisition of Goldcast, a video content platform for B2B webinars and events. The deal combines Cvent’s approximately 30,000-customer base with Goldcast’s AI-powered video creation tools, enabling marketers to transform live events into video content for multiple channels.

The integrated platform will allow marketing teams to execute webinars and events, then immediately repurpose footage for web, email, social and sales activation. The acquisition addresses growing pressure on marketers to extend event value as buying journeys become increasingly digital and video-led, according to company officials.

Video Marketing Means Personalised Conversions

By combining Cvent’s trusted enterprise platform with Goldcast’s AI-powered video innovation, we’re creating a future-ready solution for marketers. Together we’ll put same‑day, on‑brand video in more marketers’ hands — so they can publish, personalise and enable sales faster, and keep winning the mindshare of their audiences.

A Human-Led, AI-Powered Vision for Event-Led Growth

At Cvent CONNECT Europe in October, CEO and Founder Reggie Aggarwal outlined a future for events that blends human connection with AI-powered scale, positioning marketing-led events as a core growth engine for modern organisations.

Speaking to thousands of industry professionals, Aggarwal framed events as one of the few remaining places where brands can create durable relationships and measurable business impact. In a digital-first environment shaped by economic uncertainty and geopolitical pressure, he emphasised that in-person and hybrid events continue to deliver strong ROI precisely because they foster trust, community and shared experience.

Artificial intelligence featured prominently in Aggarwal’s vision, which he described as a productivity force multiplier rather than a replacement for human creativity. He introduced CventIQ™, a collection of intelligence capabilities embedded across the platform, designed to automate operational tasks while preserving the strategic and relational work that defines successful events. New capabilities include live session transcription and insights, AI-assisted hotel RFP responses and generative 3D event design tools.

Aggarwal also highlighted the rise of Event-Led Growth (ELG), a go-to-market approach that places events at the center of customer acquisition, engagement and revenue. To support this shift, Cvent has expanded offerings such as Cvent Essentials for repeatable, small-format events and continued enhancements to its webinar platform to better engage video-first audiences. Together, these investments reflect a broader strategy to help marketers turn events into scalable, omnichannel growth assets.

Goldcast Sharpens Its Agentic Video Strategy for 2026

In a December product update, Goldcast outlined a clear shift from AI-assisted video production to fully agentic workflows, positioning video as a scalable growth engine rather than a tactical content channel.

The company’s 2025 roadmap centers on outcome-driven creation, where marketers define intent and AI agents execute multi-step editing, packaging and distribution. New capabilities emphasise turning video libraries into “editorial brains” that proactively surface, bundle and adapt content across channels, reducing the need for manual production and coordination.

Measurement is equally central to the strategy. Goldcast is doubling down on account-level video intelligence, tying consumption signals directly to CRM systems so sales and marketing teams can connect video engagement to pipeline impact. Together, these updates signal Goldcast’s ambition to help lean teams orchestrate video-led growth at scale as buying journeys become more selective and video-driven.

AI Integration Changes Marketing Operations

Organisations are embedding AI-powered analytics and automation into marketing operations at scale, fundamentally changing how companies pursue effectiveness and efficiency.

Sixty percent of marketers now use AI daily, with nearly one in five departments allocating 40% or more of their budgets to AI initiatives. Organisations deploying AI-powered analytics reported up to 25% increases in customer satisfaction alongside significant cost reductions.

More recently, 21% of organisations using generative AI have fundamentally redesigned at least some workflows to accommodate these capabilities.

Strategic Capabilities Driving Adoption

Dynamic Personalisation and Engagement

AI enables real-time content adaptation based on individual behavior, moving beyond static segmentation. AI agents integrated with marketing automation can adjust campaigns faster and optimise content strategies based on performance trends.

Scalable Customer Journey Orchestration

Organisations are extending automation beyond basic triggered messages to comprehensive customer journey management. The combination of automation’s consistency with AI’s dynamic capabilities enables live, in-journey updates based on real-time data.

Enhanced Decision-Making Velocity

AI-driven analytics reduce uncertainty in campaign optimisation through A/B testing insights and real-time performance tracking.

Implementation Challenges Persist

Despite significant investment, less than 1% of organisations have reached AI maturity. The primary obstacle is choice overload — marketers face dosens of potential entry points across content generation, personalisation engines, analytics platforms and automation tools.

Most vendors now support API-first approaches to accommodate headless and composable architectures, enabling AI capabilities to integrate across marketing technology stacks.

Over 50% of marketers plan to increase AI spending, suggesting continued momentum. Success increasingly depends on strategic sequencing rather than tool proliferation.

Cvent and enviricard® Partner to Cut Event Badge Carbon Emissions by 57%

by jummy84 October 18, 2025
written by jummy84

Cvent, a market-leading meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider, has announced a new sustainability-focused partnership with enviricard®, expanding its suite of environmentally responsible event solutions. The collaboration, available to customers using Cvent OnArrival 360, empowers event organisers to reduce badge waste and align their programmes with corporate sustainability goals. The eco-badge solution will be showcased this week at Cvent CONNECT Europe, the company’s annual customer conference taking place in London and online.

Through the Cvent and enviricard partnership, each badge is produced from Invercote® paperboard, sourced from responsibly managed Nordic forests and manufactured at Holmen Iggesund’s EcoVadis Platinum-rated mill. The paperboard is FSC-certified, biodegradable, compostable, and fully recyclable.

Badges are printed using Ricoh’s sustainable European digital print network, which enables full-colour, high-quality printing while minimising energy use and waste. Together, these practices deliver a 57% reduction in overall carbon emissions compared to traditional PVC cards.

Sustainability: A Growing Expectation for Events

The Amex GBT 2026 Global Meetings & Events Forecast found that 40% of event attendees expect visible sustainability measures, while “improving sustainability initiatives” ranks among top priorities for meeting planners in 2026. In the report, Amex GBT Meetings & Events Head of Sustainability, Eloísa Urrutia, notes:

“Sustainability is a business and social imperative, but it is also personal. It’s emotive, drives loyalty, and inspires. Post-event surveys consistently show that well-executed sustainability ranks among the top drivers of attendee engagement.”

While event technology has already helped reduce the carbon footprint of meetings and travel programmes, badge waste has remained a persistent challenge. This partnership directly addresses that issue with a plastic-free, paper-based alternative.

“Our customers are increasingly focused on delivering sustainable events that reflect their brand values, and these partnerships offer a simple, tangible way to achieve sustainability goals,” said Andreas Heckmann, Cvent Chief Customer Officer. “Whether it’s using recyclable materials or keeping badge waste out of landfills, we’re helping our customers take meaningful steps toward their corporate responsibility goals without adding complexity to their planning.”

Availability

The new eco-badge offering is available now and complements Cvent’s existing sustainable badging options, including just-in-time badge printing, biodegradable vinyl holders and lanyards made from 100% recycled PET plastic.

Availability and production methods may vary by region, based on local printing and recycling infrastructure.

Cvent CEO Shares Vision for a Human-led, AI-Powered and Marketing-Driven Future of Events at Cvent CONNECT Europe

by jummy84 October 15, 2025
written by jummy84

Reggie Aggarwal, CEO and Founder of Cvent, opened Cvent CONNECT Europe, the company’s annual user and industry conference, with a forward-looking keynote outlining three key priorities shaping the future of the meetings and events industry: navigating uncertainty amid global economic pressures, the transformative potential of artificial intelligence, and unlocking the full value of event-led growth to drive measurable business outcomes. Highlighting the enduring value of face-to-face experiences, Aggarwal emphasised that events are where relationships are forged, communities are strengthened, and brands come to life. “In a digital-first world, human connection isn’t just a nice-to-have—it’s our industry’s greatest advantage.”

In his address, Aggarwal also reflected on Cvent’s continued global growth, which now includes more than 5,000 employees and 25,000 customers worldwide. He highlighted the importance of celebrating milestones, both professional and personal, sharing a candid story about his oldest daughter’s acceptance into her top choice university. Drawing a connection between life’s memorable moments and those created through events, he said: “Seeing my daughter achieve her dream was a powerful reminder that effort, resilience, and support make all the difference. Success comes from persistence, innovation, and the communities we build at events like this.”

Aggarwal concluded his introduction by reaffirming Cvent’s commitment to empowering event professionals through innovation, education, and connection. “The future may be digital-first,” he said, “but it will always be human-led.”

Reggie’s Three Key Industry Priorities

1. Navigating Uncertainty

Aggarwal acknowledged that inflation, shifting tariffs and geopolitical conflicts have created a complex environment for planners and hospitality professionals. Despite these challenges, optimism in the industry is at a five-year high, with in-person events continuing to deliver measurable ROI and human connection remaining central to business success. “Our industry has proven to be incredibly resilient,” said Aggarwal. “Real progress comes from looking beyond the headlines and focusing on what truly matters: building relationships, creating impact and maintaining a long-term vision.”

2. Embracing AI

A central focus of Aggarwal’s keynote was the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence, which he described as “a monumental shift on a scale unlike anything we’ve seen before.” Leveraging its global scale and continued investment in cutting-edge technologies, Cvent is accelerating its AI journey to shape the future of events and deliver even greater value to its customers. He introduced CventIQ™, a collection of powerful intelligence capabilities embedded across the Cvent platform. CventIQ goes beyond AI, incorporating Cvent’s robust industry expertise, proprietary insights & analytics, smart platform and intelligent infrastructure to deliver practical, easy-to-use AI-powered solutions.

Aggarwal highlighted several new tools including:

  • Session Snapshots: delivering live transcripts, audio snippets and slide captures directly to attendees.
  • Session Insights: providing automated summaries of session feedback for actionable takeaways.
  • AI Response Assistant: enabling hotels to respond to RFPs faster while improving conversion rates.
  • AI 3D Event Designer: allowing planners to instantly generate interactive, to-scale venue layouts and lighting simulations.

“AI is about redefining productivity, not replacing creativity,” Aggarwal emphasised. “It is a force multiplier, helping deliver exponential outcomes while enabling industry professionals to focus on the critical strategic and human-led aspects of their work.”

3. Unlocking the Marketing and the Event-Led Growth Opportunity

Aggarwal concluded by highlighting the rise of Event-Led Growth (ELG), a go-to-market strategy positioning events as a central driver of customer engagement, acquisition, retention and revenue.

To support this, Cvent developed Cvent Essentials, a streamlined solution enabling teams to manage small, repeatable events such as VIP dinners, executive roundtables and regional networking sessions at scale. With minimal training, teams can set up events in minutes, turning in-person gatherings into measurable growth engines.

In addition, Cvent continues to enhance its webinar platform, empowering marketers to engage video-first audiences, such as Gen Z and Millennials, in a more impactful way. These solutions, together with recent acquisitions and product innovations, give marketing teams the tools to run integrated, omnichannel event programmes that deliver measurable results.

Industry professionals can still register to attend Cvent CONNECT Europe virtually, which offers conference content both live and on-demand 30-days post-event, including Aggarwal’s opening keynote. To register, please visit the Cvent CONNECT Europe website.

Cvent and BeCause integration brings sustainability data to the forefront for event planners and hoteliers

by jummy84 September 29, 2025
written by jummy84

Pictured L-R – Jim Abramson, Vice President of Product Management at Cvent & Jahanzeeb Ahmed, CCO at BeCause

Cvent, a market-leading meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider, and BeCause, the sustainability data hub for the travel and tourism industry, have announced an integration to enhance how hotels present sustainability information on the Cvent Supplier Network (CSN), one of the world’s largest venue-sourcing platforms. The integration allows hotels to automatically integrate verified sustainability information from BeCause’s live data hub – the largest database of verified hotel sustainability data in the industry containing more than 2 million data points across 10,000 metrics – into their CSN profiles, addressing the growing demand from event planners for easily accessible sustainability data when sourcing and booking venues. More than 12,000 hotels and venues are already sharing sustainability data and publishing it on CSN through this integration.

“Sustainability has evolved into a critical component of corporate and event strategy, prompting organisations to demand greater transparency from their supply chain, including meetings and events,” said Jahanzeeb Ahmed, CCO at BeCause. “This shift means hotels are under pressure to collect, organise and share this data when competing for group business – but that process is often highly manual. With this integration, hotels can now effortlessly provide, verified sustainability information that event planners are actively seeking, thereby improving their visibility and competitiveness in the group business market.”

“Event planners are increasingly prioritising sustainability in their decision-making process, and our collaboration with BeCause is a direct result of our commitment to listening to and acting on planner and hotelier feedback,” said Jim Abramson, Vice President of Product Management at Cvent. “We’re proud to work with BeCause to empower hotels to meet planners’ demands at scale, ensuring they remain at the forefront of a fast-evolving market that values environmental responsibility.”

The two companies plan to expand their product collaboration in the future by automating the publication of hotel sustainability data from the BeCause Data Hub into a hotel’s Cvent requests for proposals (RFP) process. This will help hotel sales teams quickly address extensive RFP sustainability questions while removing friction for event planners during the sourcing process.
