The video had an overlay text that read, “If I could give you one piece of advice, it’s to not attend the Madhuri Dixit tour… save your money.”

The event, meant to kick off at 7:30 PM, was said to have begun at about 10 PM, leading to frustration and disappointment from the audience. Many disappointed guests aired their grievances online, complaining that the event was “chaotic,” “ill-organized,” and that it was such “a waste of time.” A disgruntled audience member felt so strongly and wrote, “This was the worst show ever. So unorganised. Advertisement didn’t say she was just going to chat and dance 2 seconds of each song. Very poorly organized by the promoters. So many people walked out. People were yelling for refunds.”

Of course, not everyone was against Madhuri. Some fans even rose to her defense, noting she seemed to be performing as graciously as ever and the problem might be at the level of production or management. “She seems to be performing as graciously as always! It may be a production or management coordination issue,” one fan said. Another fan wrote, “Madhuri Dixit is amazing. Real fans would appreciate any glimpse of her. It’s not her fault if it was not organized correctly. To be in her presence is something else.”

It has stirred up a debate among fans and critics, with some asking for a refund while others praised the performance of Madhuri even with the delayed start. Suspects Arrested After Theft Of Crown Jewels

French officials have announced the arrest of two suspects in connection with the theft of crown jewels from the Louvre museum. The update comes a week after the heist that stunned the world, inspired endless social media content and sparked a massive manhunt.

One Suspect Arrested While Trying To Flee Country

On Sunday (October 26), the Paris prosecutor said that investigators made arrests Saturday evening. Prosecutor Laure Beccuau did not confirm the number of arrests and did not say whether any of the Louvre jewels had been recovered. However, French media BFM TV and Le Parisien newspaper earlier reported that police officials detained two suspects. Beccuau also said investigators from a special police unit in charge of armed robberies, serious burglaries and art thefts made the arrests.

Also, a police official—who was not authorized to speak publicly about the case—told The Associated Press that the two men were in their 30s and known to police. He said one suspect was arrested as he attempted to board a plane bound for Algeria from the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.

Additionally, cops identified one of the suspects through DNA traces. Prosecutor Beccuau said earlier this week that forensics experts were analyzing 150 samples at the scene.

Prosecutor Calls Out Early Leak Of Arrests

In her statement, Prosecutor Laure Beccuau rued the premature leak of information. She said it could hinder the work of over 100 investigators “mobilized to recover the stolen jewels and apprehend all of the perpetrators.”

“I deeply regret the hasty disclosure of this information by informed individuals, without consideration of the investigation,” Beccuau said on Sunday night, per ABC News.

Beccuau said officials will reveal further details after the suspects’ custody period ends. As of Saturday evening, police had up to 96 hours to hold the alleged suspects in their custody before needing to release or charge them. It’s unclear whether these suspects were still in custody on Tuesday.

French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez praised “the investigators who have worked tirelessly, just as I asked them to, and who have always had my full confidence.”

Recap Of What Thieves Stole During Louvre Heist

Thieves took less than eight minutes on October 19 to steal jewels from the world’s most-visited museum. The stolen goods are valued at 88 million euros ($102 million). French officials described how the intruders used a basket lift to scale the Louvre’s façade, forced open a window, smashed display cases and fled. The museum’s director called the incident a “terrible failure.” 

The thieves escaped with a total of eight objects. The list includes a sapphire diadem, necklace and single earring from a set linked to 19th-century queens Marie-Amélie and Hortense. They also took an emerald necklace and earrings tied to Empress Marie-Louise, Napoleon Bonaparte’s second wife, and a reliquary brooch. Empress Eugénie’s diamond diadem and her large corsage-bow brooch were also part of the loot. Officials later found one piece, the Eugénie’s emerald-set imperial crown with more than 1,300 diamonds. It was outside the museum, damaged but repairable.

The Louvre reopened last week after one of the highest-profile museum thefts of the century. Meanwhile, the world is still gagged by the audacity and scale of the heist that’s now even inspired Halloween costumes.

Project “Scooter King Rebrand” continues unabated. As many pointed out, all of the “Meghan is rebranding” stories are projections, straight from Kensington Palace. Something really broke in Prince William last month, during and after Prince Harry’s visit to the UK and Ukraine. It sounded like William had a nervous breakdown over all of it. But Jason Knauf dusted William off and they put together some kind of plan. An awkward appearance on The Reluctant Traveler, performative tears in a Kensington Palace production, and a treasury of public events to compete with his brother and sister-in-law. They even slapped an old hairpiece onto the back of Kate’s head and made her leave the house too.

On Wednesday, Prince William and Kate welcomed Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein and his wife Rajwa. William and Kate attended their wedding in Jordan in 2023, which is the only time Kate traveled out of the UK for “work” in the past three years. Kate repeated a camel-colored Roland Mouret pantsuit for the photo-op at Windsor Castle. Rajwa and Kate then went… somewhere, and probably not together, all while their husbands headed off to RAF Benson. William was especially smiley and animated at the RAF base. He seems to like Prince Hussein, who is 12 years younger than William. Oh, I just saw the Mail’s coverage – after Kate did the photocall at Windsor, she went home (I guess) while Rajwa had an event with Princess Eugenie. They highlighted the work of a mental health charity, which sounds like something Kate should have done. Alas, you’re forgetting about the school run!!

This is such blink-and-you-miss-it soft diplomacy from Kate. I’m stunned but not surprised that she couldn’t be bothered to entertain Princess Rajwa for a few hours while their husbands had an event at an RAF base.

Excel London now America’s number one event destination in Europe following $340M investment in city’s new ‘Crown Jewel’

London has become the destination of choice in Europe for the US convention and congress sector according to new data released by Excel London.

Announced during the opening day of IMEX America in Las Vegas – the leading event for the MICE industry – events booked by US companies now account for more than half (60%) of all conventions and congresses, with that trend expected to continue over the coming years.

Global US brands including Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Salesforce and Gartner are just some of the firms favouring London for their landmark European conferences, drawn by the city’s culture, connectivity and universal appeal. That’s in addition to major association congresses, with US based organisers such as the Linux Foundation (KubeCon) and the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference® also opting for London.

In addition, Excel’s newly opened $340m state-of-the-art expansion, adding a further 270,000 sqft (25,000 sqm), has been a key factor to London’s draw and aligns with the city’s wider 10-year growth plan to further solidify it as a world-leading destination.

Dubbed London’s new ‘crown jewel’, the expansion now sees Excel total 1.3 million sqft (125,000 sqm) making it the largest fully integrated convention and exhibition venue in Europe and amongst the top 10 largest venues in America.

James Rees, Executive Director at Excel London, commented: “London is a world-class, tierone city with a magnetic pull as an event destination. The city’s appeal has further intensified over the past few years demonstrating market confidence and resulting in record bookings here at Excel, in particular from the US.

The PI claims the surveillance was arranged by Top5 himself—to keep leverage on Pete “in case he switched sides or stopped repping the mandem.”

EXCLUSIVE: Caroline Aherne, the beloved British comedy star behind The Royle Family and The Mrs Merton Show, is to be the subject of a feature film.

Andy Harries, producer of The Crown and Left Bank Pictures‘ executive chairman, is collaborating with Oscar-nominated Philomena writer Jeff Pope on the project, which remains in its infancy.

Harries told Deadline that Pope has written a script that chronicles Aherne’s “peak creative years,” from her stand-up work in the early nineties to writing and starring in The Royle Family, the iconic comedy series about a TV-obsessed Manchester family.

Harries had front-row seats to Aherne’s talents, having executive-produced The Royle Family and Mrs Merton for the BBC. Pope also worked closely with Aherne on The Fattest Man in Britain, starring Timothy Spall, and comedy The Security Men.

Harries is on the hunt for a director for the picture, while a cast has yet to be attached. He said the script is “sad, funny, and very emotional.” As for the role of Aherne, “it’s a really challenging part for an actress in her early to mid-30s,” Harries added.

Craig Cash, the co-creator of The Royle Family, is involved as a consultant and executive producer. Cash is best known nowadays as the narrator of Gogglebox, a job he inherited from Aherne after she died from cancer in 2016. She was just 52.

Pope said: “I loved Caroline and I still think about her, or some funny line she came up with, almost every day. She was a true original, a working-class woman from Manchester who broke all the rules — every single one of them. I want more people to understand what a genius she was, and what drove her.”

Pope spoke movingly about her death in 2016, telling The Guardian that she “suffered appallingly” with depression, but that her interest in people was a hallmark of her writing. Aherne won four BAFTA Awards during her career, while her other work included appearing as a regular on sketch series The Fast Show.
