Neighbours icon will be missing from final ever episodes, boss confirms

For the second time in just a few years, Neighbours is preparing for what looks set to be the beloved Australian soap’s final ever episode – but one of the show’s most iconic characters sadly won’t be involved.

According to boss Jason Herbison, Toadie Rebecchi star Ryan Moloney – who departed the soap after 30 years earlier this year – was unavailable to reprise his role in the finale, which was filmed back in July.

“We asked Ryan [Moloney] to return as Toadie,” he explained in an interview with TV Week. “He was unavailable sadly, but he does of course get a mention.”

Although Toadie will be absent, a number of familiar faces from the show’s past are expected to appear as soap draws to a close.

Some of the characters confirmed to return to Ramsay Street for one last hurrah include Shane Ramsay (Peter O’Brien), Melanie Pearson (Lucinda Cowden), Jimmy Williams (Darcy Tadich), Ned Willis (Ben Hall) and Roxy Canning (Zima Anderson) – and there could be an extra surprise or two in store, too.

Herbison also teased that the episode will include “a few Easter eggs for the fans” and explained why he felt the need to end the show in a very different way from the previous finale in 2022, before the show had been rescued by Amazon.

“I couldn’t end it the same way as I did last time,” he said. “I knew we were losing the Nunawading Studios and backlot imminently, which was different to the last time.

“With so much love for the show I felt I should craft an ending that would give the show a chance to come back in different ways that didn’t rely on the studios. This is what the finale sets out to do.”

It was confirmed back in February that the soap was to be axed again after Amazon opted against renewing it beyond their original 460-episode commission, with the final episode set to air on Thursday 11th December.

When filming concluded in July, Herbison said: “Neighbours is a special show and it’s been a privilege to make the recent seasons for our loyal viewers around the world. We have added 460 episodes to our legacy of over 9,000 episodes, something we all feel proud of.

“Once again, we will be resting the residents of Ramsay Street on a hopeful note, with some tantalising possibilities for a future chapter.”

According to #Forbes, the reality star and entrepreneur is now worth an estimated $1.9 billion, following a new $225 million funding round for her apparel brand, SKIMS, which boosted the company’s valuation to $5 billion. The milestone cements SKIMS as one of the most valuable celebrity-founded fashion brands in the world.

Founded in 2019, #SKIMS has evolved from a shapewear line into a full lifestyle and apparel brand. The company announced that the new investment “reflects continued confidence in our long-term vision and positions SKIMS to unlock its next phase of growth.” It’s expected to surpass $1 billion in net sales this year, fueled by international expansion and new product categories.

Tanya Maniktala has been working in the industry for seven years now, but interestingly, the actor had been living in Delhi all this while and commuting back-and-forth for work. Now, seven years later, the actor finally decided to shift to Mumbai just before Diwali, and is currently busy in her shifting phase.

“I just thought that it’s time to get out of my comfort zone. Delhi is home but Mumbai has also given me so much warmth and welcomed me with open arms, so I thought it’s time to embrace it now and make the move,” she says. While the actor admits that being in Delhi never hampered her work prospects much, she did miss out on some last minute events and appearances: “Being in Delhi in the comfort of my home, I was getting a little more passive to these things, and I would let things slide. But now I am very actively a part of everything that’s happening. I feel I am a lot more hands-on now.”

Getting to be in her own home and living independently for the first time, makes Tanya Maniktala feel ecstatic yet nervous. She says, “There are a lot of firsts happening and I’m so excited. They come with a lot of joy and excitement and also have their nervous moments. But I think I am in the company of good people and I’ve kind of got my foot in the door now,” adding, “I like having to look after myself now because it also gives me a purpose, but I also miss being taken care of. Things like food were always ready at my disposal, so having to learn all of these things from scratch, I’m enjoying the process but at the same time, also missing the convenience.”

On the work front, Tanya is rumoured to be pairing up with actor Rajkummar Rao for a film, and talking to us, she confirms it, “Even though the project with Raj sir is not announced, the information has gotten out already. So that is currently under works. It’s not surreal, but at the same time, I think I did not allow myself to imagine and accept that these kind of things could happen to me. So now that it’s working out, I am thankful to my lucky stars, although I also worked pretty hard towards it. One day, it had to happen. So I’m just glad that I’m prepared for this opportunity that has come my way now.”

She also to the reports of her replacing actor Ananya Panday in the Amrita Sher-Gil biopic, as she says, “I have no idea where this piece of information has come from. We have no idea about the Amrita Sher-Gil project. So, I don’t think I can comment on that.”

Blueface Says He’s Home In New Video

Within one hour, the rapper’s comment section was flooded with over 11,000 reactions. The clip Blue shared shows him shirtless, wearing a diamond chain and white cap. He vowed to put his Instagram account on private within 24 hours, teasing a “secret society” vibe. “Blueface home,” he said with a lil’ laugh. The clip marks the first time fans are seeing and hearing from Blue directly since he got home from prison.

As previously reported, Blueface turned himself into police in January 2024. He had violated his probation in connection to a 2021 assault conviction, and a judge ultimately sentenced him to four years last August. He served 21 months before his release, per XXL.

In mid-October Mama Blueface assured his fans that they’d be seeing the rapper in “days.” She spoke to TMZ about her son’s physical transformation, which includes gaining 70 pounds behind bars. She also told the outlet Blue was “doing well,” pouring into his fitness and “preparing to come home.” Karlissa also spoke about how she and Blue’s dad Jonathan Sr., will hold him “accountable” for his actions. However, she said, how the rapper moves once free will be in his hands.

As far as welcoming Blueface home, Saffold teased a party that she’s allegedly been planning for a hot minute. Ahead of the rapper confirming his release, his mother got fans riled up with a video of Blueface’s son looking at a man asleep in bed. She had also taken to IG Story to write, “Thank you God.”

Red Dwarf confirms exciting new release after new special was scrapped

Red Dwarf fans haven’t had the best time of it recently, with a planned special being unceremoniously scrapped by UKTV – but there’s a silver lining to this cloud, as fans will soon be able to relive the show’s best moments.

The original TV soundtrack collections for the classic sci-fi comedy are set to be released as BBC audiobooks.

The audiobooks, Red Dwarf: Series I to IV and V to VIII: The BBC TV Soundtracks, will be available from 20th November – so watch this space!

The news comes after Doug Naylor, co-creator of Red Dwarf, revealed that the new episode fans had been looking forward to was scrapped by UKTV last year.

A spokesperson for UKTV told RadioTimes.com at the time: “UKTV has no current plans to commission further episodes of Red Dwarf.

“It’s been a privilege to work with Doug Naylor and the cast in a relationship that began with the Back to Earth specials, which premiered to 4 million viewers, and has subsequently produced three full series, a retrospective and Red Dwarf’s first ever feature length, The Promised Land.”

However, Naylor has since shared with RadioTimes.com that there’s “absolutely” a chance of the episode, which was set to see Craig Charles’s Lister meeting his younger self, being shopped around to other channels.

“Absolutely, yeah, there’s always that possibility,” he said. “It’s public knowledge now this week, because I’ve announced it, and so now we will go out. The [cast] are really keen to do more.

“I’ve also done two thirds of a movie called Out of the Red where the guys play fictitious versions of themselves, and there’s real interest in that as well, both from a distributor and from a production company.

“In fact, I had a meeting about that this morning, so there’s that possibility as well. So it’s not dead, Dave – yet!”

So, as the wait for more Red Dwarf continues, it’s time to relive the best moments in audio form! Fingers crossed we’ll see the gang back on screen soon.

The new BBC audiobooks, Red Dwarf: Series I to IV and V to VIII: The BBC TV Soundtracks will be available from 20th November. Red Dwarf is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

Last night, Mahesh Babu kicked off the fun on social media by tagging SS Rajamouli on X, writing, “November is here.” Rajamouli quickly replied, teasing, “Yes… you’re expecting a review of this film this month?” Mahesh then fired back with a playful jab, “Your always-in-the-making Mahabharata, sir… First things first. You promised us something in November. Keep your word.”

For your information, our Desi Girl has been posting about every street in Hyderabad since January.” With that, he tagged Priyanka Chopra, and fans instantly caught the hint! Soon after, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran jumped into the conversation, playfully confirming their involvement. Rajamouli, realizing the surprise had been spoiled, jokingly expressed mock anger at Mahesh Babu.

He wrote that Mahesh would be punished by delaying the reveal of his first look from the film! The hilarious exchange quickly went viral, sending fans into a frenzy. About Suhana’s first big screen film

On Sunday, the first look and poster of the upcoming film, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, were unveiled. Set to release in 2026, it is directed by Siddharth Anand. The announcement was made along with the title reveal video, featuring Shah Rukh in a new avatar sporting a silver hairdo. It also had glimpses of him performing the action sequences.

Katy Perry seemingly confirmed her romance with Justin Trudeau during a concert this week.

Katy Perry turned down a fan’s proposal

The Teenage Dream singer has been linked with the former Canadian Prime Minister for several months and during her show in Prague on Thursday (30.10.25), she made reference to her current relationship status when she spotted a sign from a fan asking her to marry them.

In a video shared on TikTok, Katy could be heard telling the crowd: “This guy is trying to get me to marry him and he has a ring in his hand.

“No! I am dating someone else for crying out f****** loud.”

This isn’t the first marriage proposal Katy has received on her Lifetimes tour.

During a show at The O2 Arena in London last month, audience member Darren Trenchard was invited onto the stage and took the opportunity to pop the question to the 41-year-old pop star – who has five year old daughter Daisy with ex-fiance Orlando Bloom and was previously married to Russell Brand – but she turned him down.

She laughed: “I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago.

“London, England, you’re like this on a Monday night after a whole day at work and a whole day at school?

“No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time… but not anymore.”

Last weekend, Katy and Justin made their first public appearance as a couple when they paid a visit to the Crazy Horse Paris to celebrate her 41st birthday at the cabaret show.

Pictures obtained by TMZ showed the couple walking out of the French venue holding hands and smiling at one another, with Katy wearing a vivid red dress and the 53-year-old politician in an all-black outfit.

The pair were first romantically linked over the summer, when they were spotted on a date in Montreal, Canada, shortly after the Dark Horse singer split from fiance Orlando Bloom in June.

They were next photographed together last month, kissing on a yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara.

Last month, it was reported the pair are “quite taken with each other”.

A source explained to People magazine: “They have stayed in touch since the middle of summer but haven’t been able to spend that much time together, due mainly to her schedule.

“Justin is also busy and both have family obligations. They have interests in common. Both are taking dating as it comes. But they are definitely into each other – and have been.”

The insider noted the pair’s romance has been allowed to develop slowly and “in addition to the attraction, they are both smart and love to talk about serious issues”.

The source added: “Justin thinks she is terrific. It has had time to develop on a friend and intellectual level as well as supersized attraction. The romance has merit.”

April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) has become further entwined in Celia Daniels’s (Jaye Griffiths) sickening county lines plot in Emmerdale.

In yesterday’s episode, she was sent out to meet yet another ‘client’, who had paid Celia and her son Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) a sum of cash in exchange for sex with the 16-year-old.

April voiced her worries to the paedophile Callum (Max Lohan), who seemed to take a sympathetic approach towards her. He reassured her that she could leave at any time, but as he’d booked her for the whole night he wanted to get what he paid for.

She was horrified, and after some drinks, decided against sleeping with him. But Callum wouldn’t take no for an answer and launched himself towards her. In a panic, April grabbed a bottle of vodka and whacked it across his head, killing him instantly.

In today’s instalment she feared for her future and had nobody she could contact for help. Boyfriend Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) has seemingly disappeared after a run-in with Ray, and there was no way she could explain the situation to dad Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) or grandfather Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw).

With nowhere left to turn, she summoned Celia and Ray. She was on a date with Bob and made her excuses to attend a ‘farm emergency’.

April explained that she had no choice to attack him, and Celia was furious that she’d caused yet another issue with a client. The youngster begged her groomers for help, and Ray headed off to deal with the grizzly crime scene.

Callum was very much dead – still lay lifeless on the bed. Ray ordered someone to come to his house and get rid of his body, while Celia instructed April to take her clothes off so they could get rid of the evidence.

There was no way this was coming back onto her – and as a result, April was off the hook. Ray made it clear that should she think about telling the police, he’d be first to dob her in.

Later, after the mess was ‘cleared up’, Celia told April that her debt still hadn’t been paid off. If she thought about causing another issue, she’d play her version of ‘Snog, Marry, Avoid’ with the three most important men in her life – Bob, Marlon and Dylan.

Her version? ‘Burn, Stab, Drown.’

Will April find the courage to come clean to Marlon in next week’s special episode?

As always, the session was filled with his signature wit, charm, and humorous answers, much to the delight of his massive following. The interaction quickly trended, proving once again that the superstar’s social media presence is just as engaging as his on-screen roles.

 

One question, however, stood out and quickly became a talking point, as it touched upon a beloved annual tradition. With his birthday on November 2 approaching, a fan directly asked the star about his plans to continue his iconic yearly ritual. The fan asked, “Sir is baar Mannat pe fans ko greet karne aaoge?” This question refers to the much-anticipated moment when SRK steps out onto the balcony of Mannat to wave and acknowledge the sea of fans gathered below.

Every year, thousands of well-wishers and fans travel from across the country, and even the world, to stand outside his home, hoping to catch a glimpse of the superstar on his special day. It is an event that has become synonymous with the actor’s birthday celebrations, with the streets outside Mannat turning into a festive zone every November 2.

 

Never one to disappoint, especially when it comes to a humorous response, Shah Rukh Khan confirmed he would be continuing the tradition, but not without adding a funny disclaimer. He replied to the fan with a short, witty line that instantly went viral: “Of course but may have to wear a hard hat!!” The hilarious response confirmed that he’ll be in Mumbai to greet his fans after reports of him celebrating his 60th birthday in Alibaug went viral earlier today. The actor’s clever response was to hint at the ongoing construction at Mannat.

 

For decades, the Mannat greeting has been a symbol of the unique bond Shah Rukh Khan shares with his fans. The sight of SRK standing on his balcony, arms stretched out wide in his famous pose, remains an iconic image of his superstardom.

 

On the work front, Shah Rukh was last seen in his son Aryan Khan’s series Ba***ds of Bollywood, and will be seen next in the upcoming movie, King, directed by Siddharth Anand and starring his daughter Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone in key roles.
