First Sight Media expands team with key creative and commercial appointments

by jummy84 December 13, 2025
written by jummy84

(L to R) Tyrone Herbst and Noel Hoey

Event production and streaming specialist, First Sight Media, has announced the appointment of two key personnel: Tyrone Herbst joins as senior video editor, while Noel Hoey takes up the role of client engagement manager, signalling a strategic move to bolster both the company’s creative output and its dedicated client support,

Bringing a decade of experience to the post, Herbst joins the team as senior video editor. Originally from South Africa, where he successfully ran his own video production company, Herbst moved to the UK two years ago. With a background that merges technical editing precision with digital marketing strategy, he specialises in visual storytelling for promotional and corporate projects. His arrival is timely as the company continues to evolve and  innovate its content creation offering for events and for wider promotional films.

Herbst’s journey to First Sight Media is one of industry symmetry. While working as a digital content manager for an aviation company, he discovered First Sight Media’s work via YouTube while researching content from Event Tech Live (ETL). Impressed by the company’s scope—spanning live streaming, creative production, and graduation ceremonies—he applied. Fittingly, his first on-site project for First Sight Media was filming at Event Tech Live 2025.

Herbst said, “It’s a bit of a full-circle moment for me. I actually discovered First Sight Media via their YouTube content while scouting for promos we could use. The company’s reputation for going beyond standard video production to deliver complex live streaming and creative content appealed to me immediately. Having run my own business, I understand the importance of merging creativity with commercial goals, and I’m excited to bring my experience in visual storytelling to a team that is so passionate about capturing every moment.”

Strengthening the commercial side of the business, Noel Hoey joins as client engagement manager. Hoey will act as the driving force behind building long-lasting client relationships, ensuring customers remain at the heart of the production process. His role focuses on understanding client challenges and vision, translating them into meaningful solutions across live production and streaming.

Hoey said: “For me, business is about genuine partnerships, not just transactions. My goal is to be out in the world, listening to our clients and shaping their long-term content strategies with clarity and creativity. Since joining, the atmosphere here has been unreal: warm, collaborative, and endlessly supportive. It’s clear that kindness and integrity filter down from the top, and that energy allows us to do great work. I’m looking forward to turning initial conversations into trusted, long-term relationships where clients feel confident that we are the partner to bring their ideas to life.”

Rich Belcher, managing director of First Sight Media, commented, “These are two vital appointments for First Sight Media as we continue to grow. For us, recruitment isn’t just about skills on paper; it’s about finding people who instinctively get our values and our personality. Tyrone and Noel are fantastic additions who are not only highly skilled in their respective fields but are also completely in tune with our ethos. Whether it is Tyrone’s technical storytelling or Noel’s dedication to client collaboration, they both embody the energy and professionalism that our clients expect from us.”

Nuweb Group posts breakout quarter with record ticketing throughput, and expanding commercial momentum

by jummy84 November 18, 2025
written by jummy84

Nuweb Group delivered record ticketing throughput this quarter, accompanied by sustained commercial momentum.

The milestone, Nuweb executives said, reflects a multi-year investment in rebuilding Nuweb’s global architecture around resilience.

“Much of this industry is running on technology held together by decades of patchwork,” said José San Miguel, Managing Director, “We’re providing the modern technical base these platforms should have had years ago.”

That stance was underscored this quarter as the company processed its highest-ever ticketing throughput without any service disruption.

Performance bolstered by strong demand across major events including Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, Azahriah and Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Nuweb Group executives were quick to stress that headline throughput figures tell only part of the story.

“In major on-sales, platforms often strip back functionality simply to push buyers through faster. That isn’t good enough,” said José.

He added that Nuweb’s approach prioritises continuity of experience rather than tactical shortcuts. “Our throughput doesn’t come at the expense of the experience. If 85 per cent of buyers want to choose their own seats, we shouldn’t be turning that off, even under pressure.”

This comes at a time where ticketing platforms have recently made headlines for system crashes and user lockouts during major on sales, prompting renewed debate over platform resilience and consumer rights.

Nuweb’s leadership believes this environment favours new infrastructure providers that can evolve quickly.

“The market is moving faster than the systems currently supporting it,” says Jose, “Platforms need underlying technology that understands that reality”

The company, which supplies technology to ticketing operators, has gained traction among a growing need for platforms to rebuild or modernise their systems. The company is now expanding its footprint across North America, adding new roles to support rising demand and an expanding client base across the region.

Mariah Carey Christmas Commercial for Sephora Welcomes Holiday Season

by jummy84 November 2, 2025
written by jummy84

Mariah Carey‘s welcome to the Christmas season is here. The “All I Want for Christmas Is You” hitmaker made an official announcement to kick off the holidays in partnership with Sephora.

See latest videos, charts and news

“Halloween slayed,” Carey says in the Joseph Kahn-directed ad that dropped as Halloween (Oct. 31) came to a close. “But now … it’s time!”

There’s one problem: Someone’s rummaged through the pop diva’s Sephora bag and pilfered the new beauty goodies she snagged for the 2025 holidays.

In the lighthearted spot, Carey demands someone spill the tea on who stole her makeup so she can ring in the season of her modern Christmas carol, and — spoiler alert — it’s not the Grinch.

It’s Billy Eichner as an overworked elf advocating for better treatment at Christmastime.

“Bad news, Mariah Carey,” the comedian taunts. “The elves are striking this year. Elf revenge for putting us through holiday hell! Santa’s helper quit. I’m pawning this so I can afford elf therapy!”

“That’s my blush, elf boy,” Carey says.

“Your lipstick? I’m taking it. No bells. No cheer. No glam. Bye, sweetie,” Eichner throws back.

The Christmas commercial comes right after Carey dropped a collection of holiday merch, like a snow globe that plays “All I Want for Christmas Is You”; a Christmas sweater, earmuffs, socks, pajamas, robe and slippers; ornaments and stockings; holiday baking supplies and a large inflatable lawn decoration. Mariah might not “want a lot for Christmas,” but she’s given fans plenty to add to their Amazon wish lists.

Watch Carey’s “It’s Time!!!!!” announcement below to find out how she saves Christmas from being canceled. Oh, and go ahead and press play on her classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” the song that Christmas music lovers have listened to enough to make it Carey’s longest Hot 100 reign (with 18 total weeks at No. 1, four of which were just last year).

written by jummy84

Togather, the UK’s largest live events operator, has appointed former DICE UK Managing Director Amy Oldham to lead its commercial operations as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

Oldham has previously served as Commercial Director at KOKO Studios and Head of Festivals & Events at Global, bringing over fifteen years of experience in building creative partnerships in the live events industry.

Oldham will lead Togather’s Commercial team, which has already delivered major events including Gala Festival, Pride in London, The Royal International Air Tattoo, Windsor Great Park Illuminated and Brighton on the Beach.

Founded in 2018, Togather is known for connecting high-quality food and beverage suppliers across the UK to events — from large corporate gatherings to the country’s biggest cultural festivals.

A major part of Oldham’s role will involve developing Togather’s live event offering for clients, following the 2025 launch of Live 360, the industry’s first AI-driven supplier matching platform. Her focus will be on expanding Togather’s service — which raises F&B sales by an average of 30% per year — across a wider range of locations, including festivals, stadia, and cultural events.

“Togather is transforming how people create and experience live events –  making them better for everyone. I’ve admired the team’s growth for years, and to now be part of that mission is incredibly exciting,” said Oldham. “Our focus is on helping more organisers and partners unlock the full power of Togather’s platform and services — scaling our impact and bringing unforgettable experiences to even more people. I’ve been fortunate to be part of some of the most game-changing events companies in the country, and I’ve no doubt we’ll achieve the same at Togather.”

Togather CEO Digby Vollrath added:

“We’re thrilled to have Amy’s skills and experience on board. Her experience perfectly aligns with what we’re striving to achieve at Togather, and she has the infectious personality and drive for perfection that it takes to succeed in this industry.
