Veronica Beard Spring 2026 Ready-to-Wear Collection

by jummy84 September 8, 2025
written by jummy84

Veronica Beard is willing to bet that the boho craze will be alive and well come spring 2026. Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard are all in on ’70s paisley prints, flouncy ruffled minidresses, dainty lace, and ultra-flared jeans.

The offering is a full 180 from last season’s American sportswear emphasis, and a departure from the brand’s structured tailoring. “It’s a change for us, certainly in the overt femininity,” Swanson Beard said. “We’ve always gone a little bit more power dressing, tailoring-heavy, strong shoulder. I think what’s really pretty is the ease and femininity in this collection from a silhouette perspective.” While it is a freer offering for the sisters-in-law, the brand’s DNA is still there: a rust brown and blue striped three-piece set is a particular standout, while a a pair of crisp trousers is cut in a delicate eyelet.

The most exciting component of the collection is a new roster of contributors: the team’s student interns. The brand partnered with the Council of Fashion Designers of America to create the Veronica Beard x CFDA Creative Futures Scholarship. Four college juniors spent the summer interning at the brand across departments (including knitwear, soft wovens, tailoring, and denim) and were each granted $50,000 to help fund their independent design careers. By summer’s end, the students were able to see their work evolve from a sketch to pieces in the spring 2026 collection, including a pair of embellished jeans and a peach cowl-neck slip.

For the Veronicas, it was a full-circle moment, and a reminder of how far they’ve come as a brand. “We were CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists at one point in our lives,” Miele Beard said. “To flip it around and be a brand that [students] could work toward was iconic.”

Orimi Tokyo Spring 2026 Collection

by jummy84 September 8, 2025
written by jummy84

Everybody knows how creative Tokyo street style can be (peek at the latest season here on Vogue Runway for proof). The kids here wear the most outlandish and boundary-pushing outfits you’ve ever seen. But what happens to those kids when they grow up? Some of them, like Kenta Orimi, go into fashion. The 36-year-old, who was born in Hiroshima and later moved to Tokyo, spent his teenage years collecting vintage clothes and getting street-snapped on the pedestrian catwalks of Harajuku. Opening his own store, The Elephant, Orimi would remake vintage items for his customers, and taught himself how to design by taking apart jeans and reassembling them. He eventually had enough success to transform The Elephant into a well-regarded select shop that now has two outposts: one in Osaka, one in Tokyo. Then, in 2020 during the pandemic, he founded his own brand, Orimi. Which just about brings us up to date.

On Saturday night, in what would be the closing show of this season’s Tokyo Fashion Week, he held his first on-schedule show for Orimi, with a selection of morbidly elegant, neo-gothic tailoring that showed off his skills as both a designer and a buyer. Everything was curiously twisted: hoodies were made from linen and had plunging necklines, tailored trousers had deeply dropped crotches or asymmetrical fastenings, while suits had fabric-covered buttons or were cropped with huge power shoulders.

The speakers thrummed with dark techno remixed with church organ music. Whether Nosferatu or Edward Cullen (some models’ skin sparkled silver with glitter), surely there was a subtle vampire reference going on here. “Vampires?!” laughed Orimi backstage afterwards. “I wasn’t conscious of doing that, but my collections do tend to be mostly monochrome and I always have a gothic element in my work.” He credits the moodiness to Sonic Summer, the Tokyo music festival that he lived nearby growing up. “I was exposed to a lot of rock music from high school,” he said.

Bloodsucking or not, the collection had plenty of bite, and the strange but convincing tailored looks made this a solid debut for Orimi. Sure, it drew on his past in Harajuku, but it was resolutely forward-looking and ambitious. The audience was also full of Orimi-clad boys for whom his work clearly resonates. “For me, Harajuku represents my roots and where I come from,” he said. “With my brand, I want to take that essence and elevate it to an international level, sharing the things I feel and experience, not just within Japan, but with the world.”

Baaghi 4 box office collection day 3: Tiger Shroff’s massy actioner has not seen a spike in the ticket counters during the first weekend.

Baaghi 4 box office collection day 3: Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 arrived with a lot of expectations, given the previous entries of the action-packed franchise have proved to be successful. However, now that the film has seen its release, the first few days of collections are not as massive as expected, given that the Sajid Nadiadwala production has received a lukewarm response so far. Baaghi 4 released in theatres on September 5. (Also read: Baaghi 4 Twitter review: ‘Desi Stallone’ Tiger Shroff can’t save this ‘cringe violent mess with no story’, say viewers)

Baaghi 4 box office collection day 3: Tiger Shroff’s film received mixed reviews.

Baaghi 4 has no growth

The latest box office update on Sacnilk points out that Baaghi did not show any improvement from its opening day collections. The film did business of ₹12 crore on Friday, and saw a dip on Saturday, collecting ₹9.25 crore. On Sunday, the film went on to collect ₹10 crore as per early estimates. The total collections of the film now stand at ₹31.25 crore, as of 10 PM.

Baaghi 4 had an overall Hindi occupancy of 24.84% on Sunday. Morning shows were lacklustre, registering 8.75% occupancy, whereas afternoon shows were at 28.81%, and evening shows showed some momentum at 36.95%. The film is facing competition from the Hollywood release The Conjuring Last Rites. The horror film is on a spectacular run at the box office, collecting ₹15.5 crore on Sunday to take its three-day total to ₹50.50 crore.

About Baaghi 4

Apart from Tiger and Sanjay Dutt, the film also stars Shreyas Talpade, Saurabh Sachdeva, Upendra Limaye, and Sonam Bajwa in prominent roles. It also marks the acting debut of former Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu.

The movie is produced by Sajid Nadiawala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The film is the fourth instalment in Tiger’s Baaghi franchise, which started with 2016’s Baaghi, followed by Baaghi 2 (2018) and Baaghi 3 (2020).

Baaghi 4 box office collection day 2: Tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt’s violent actioner showed a shocking downward spiral on its second day of release.

Baaghi 4 box office collection day 2: Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, and Harnaaz Sandhu-starrer Baaghi 4 released in theatres on Friday to mixed reviews from critics. The fourth film in the Baaghi franchise, expectations were riding high on its performance at the box office. It seems that there has been a lukewarm response to the film so far, as the film showed a downward spiral on its second day of release. Baaghi 4 box office collection day 2: Tiger Shroff stars in this action thriller.

Baaghi 4 shows drop in collections

As per the latest update on Sacnilk, Baaghi 4 collected ₹9 crore as per early estimates. This is lower than its opening day numbers, which stood at ₹12 crore. The total collection after two days of release now stands at ₹ 21 crore.

The downward spiral is a worrying sigh for Baaghi 4. It is just the second day of the film’s release, and given that it is a weekend, the film was expected to build on the momentum. Can the film pick up pace over the next few days? That will decide the film’s fate at the box office.

Sanjay Gupta’s sharp call out

Meanwhile, amid the film’s lukewarm response, filmmaker Sanjay Gupta expressed his disappointment with Bollywood films sticking to franchises and same old rules. He said, “Franchise films without original directors are tanking. Is there a lesson to learn for the producers???” He also noted, “Me in my 20’s/30’s could never imagine an English film outperforming a Hindi film. Today’s reality – An English horror film does double the business of a main stream Hindi action film. What changed???” He referred to the better box office collection of the horror film The Conjuring Last Rites, indicating that viewers preferred watching a Hollywood film over a Hindi release.

Baaghi 4 is the fourth instalment in the franchise, which began in 2016 with Baaghi, starring Tiger and Shraddha Kapoor. The sequel saw Tiger reprising his role, with Disha Patani and Manoj Bajpayee alongside him. Baaghi 3 brought back Shraddha Kapoor and also starred Riteish Deshmukh. Unlike the first two films, this wasn’t a box office success, as it suffered due to theatre closures amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Baaghi 4’s story and screenplay have been penned by Sajid Nadiadwala. It is directed by A. Harsha and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Raj Kundra made his acting debut with the Bollywood film UT69, which was based on his experiences during his time in jail. Now, he is gearing up for his second film appearance and will be making his Punjabi film debut with Mehar. The movie is scheduled to release on September 5, 2025. On Thursday, September 4, Raj Kundra took to Instagram to share a video, sharing that the first day collection of Mehar will go to the victims of the Punjab Floods.

Raj Kundra Will Donate Mehar’s Opening Collection To Punjab Flood Victims

In the video, Raj announced that the first-day worldwide collection of Mehar will be donated to the victims of the Punjab floods. He captioned the video as, “Tomorrow MEHAR hits cinemas worldwide! But this isn’t just a release… it’s relief. Day 1 worldwide collections are ALL for Punjab flood support. Be part of sewa, be part of history (sic).”

About Punjab Floods

Punjab is currently grappling with one of its worst floods in decades, with at least 37 lives lost and vast areas of farmland destroyed. The floods have caused widespread devastation, severely impacting countless families and damaging large swathes of agricultural land.

About Mehar

Directed by Rakesh Mehta, Mehar stars Geeta Basra in the lead. This marks Kundra’s second acting project after his Bollywood debut, UT69, which drew inspiration from his time in prison. In August, the makers released the trailer for Mehar, which received a positive response. The actress is making her acting comeback after a long hiatus.

Raj Kundra portrays the role of Karamjeet Singh, a Sikh man, in Mehar. The film also features a talented cast, including Master Agamveer Singh, Deep Mandeep, Ashish Duggal, Baninder Bunny, Savita Bhatti, Rupinder Rupi, Hobby Dhaliwal, Tarsem Paul, and Kulvir Sony.

Lokah Chapter 1 box office collection day 8: Dominic Arun’s superhero film released in theatres on 28 August and made ₹46 crore in one week.

Lokah Chapter 1 box office collection day 8: Dominic Arun’s superhero film Lokah: Chapter 1—Chandra has crossed the ₹50 crore mark in domestic collections. The film, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, Naslen, and Sandy as leads, was released in theatres on 28 August and saw collections pick up after good word-of-mouth reviews. Here’s how the film is faring.

Lokah Chapter 1 box office collection day 8: Kalyani Priyadarshan plays the lead in the Dominic Arun film.

Lokah Chapter 1 box office collection

According to Sacnilk, Lokah collected an estimated ₹6.54 crore net in India on Thursday, taking its total domestic eight-day collection to ₹52.89 crore. The film ended its seven-day run by bringing in ₹46.35 crore in India and ₹100 crore worldwide. It had a decent ₹2.7 crore opening on Thursday, but collections spiked on Friday, and it brought in ₹4 crore. Collections continued to spike on its first weekend, with ₹7.6 crore and ₹10.1 crore hauls. Interestingly, during the week, Lokah managed to collect more than ₹7 crore per day despite the weekdays, showing moderate to no dips.

Dulquer Salmaan on Lokah’s success

Dulquer Salmaan produced Lokah Chapter 1 – Chandra under his production house, Wayfarer Films. In a success meet held in Hyderabad on Wednesday, the actor reflected how none of the films he had acted in received the kind of response Lokah got.

He said, “We are still trying to process what is happening. For us, Lokah was something always very intimate; it almost felt like a very expensive indie film. We had to get Jakes (Bejoy) to commercialise it. But the way it’s just blown up and everywhere in the country, I have done 40 plus movies, and I have not experienced this as a hero for any of my films. Thank you to the audiences for accepting Lokah”

Lokah tells the story of a mysterious Chandra (Kalyani) who is summoned back to India by the leader she follows, Moothon (voiced by Mammootty). Naslen plays her love interest and neighbour, Sunny, while Sandy plays the antagonist, Inspector Nachiyappa.

H&M Studio Fall 2025 Ready-to-Wear Collection

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

One way to understand H&M Studio’s fall collection is as an extension—and a celebration—of the Swedish brand’s expansion into Brazil with a first store in São Paolo. Inspired by the “melting pot” culture of the country, the team attempted to create a bridge between the Brazilian and Swedish capitals: hot versus cold, the rawness of brutalism versus the polish of minimalism…. This concept was more convincing on paper than in practice, although exposed zippers, raw wedges, a dry wool coat with permanent creases, and “a concrete feeling [that] comes through the colors in the gray tones,” as as Ann-Sofie Johansson put it on a call, did touch on the idea of Brutalism.

In São Paolo, Johannson noted, you “can really see the uber feminine women, which you don’t really find in Stockholm.” Their allure encouraged the design team to soften hard and rough edges. Witness lovely lingerie pieces with inset “lace” panels, a pink peplum sweater, a vintage wallpaper print, and floral jewelry, elements that are iconically—or stereotypically—feminine that stood in contrast to the collection’s more “masculine” tailoring, which included a double-breasted coat dress, a square-shouldered, stand collar blazer, and a number of pant suits. The his/her vibe is typical of all H&M Studio collections, but this season it especially emphasized the contrasts between “strictness and softness…rawness and sweetness.”

Ancellm Tokyo Spring 2026 Collection

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

If you want a broad yet accurate window into what a lot of Japanese menswear looks like right now, this debut show from Ancellm provides it. The brand’s first runway show in Tokyo marks five years since the brand’s inception; it unfolded in front of an audience just shy of 1,000 people, in the vast and glassy Triangle Plaza of the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building.

Based in founder Kazuya Yamachika’s hometown of Okayama—an area near Hiroshima known for its wealth of factories and manufacturers—the brand produces much of its clothing locally. Known for crafty and innovative distressing techniques, Ancellm bleaches, sands, and smatters with paint everything from denim jeans to leather jackets, giving its collections a worn-in feel that is uniformly soft to the touch.

Oversized linen tailoring with raw hems, rough-collared button-ups, faded workwear jackets, distressed knits, and floaty pants made up the bulk of the offering, with a consistent note of boho-chic throughout. There was also a ton of dark brown (seemingly ubiquitous in menswear at the moment) that speaks to the slow, earthy mood of the brand and the obviously tactile fabrics it plays with.

Speaking backstage following the show, Yamachika explained that the collection was something of a study in color (he develops his hues from scratch). We went from the aforementioned brown through mustard yellow, deep reds, blanched denim blues, khakis, and intentionally dirtied whites (plus an excellent quilted Barbour-style jacket in an iridescent navy). “There wasn’t a particular theme this time, but I wanted people to see the gradations all the way to the end,” he said.

At 40 looks, however, the collection lost momentum by the halfway point. The problem with presenting lots of clothes with no obvious through-line or cultural reference points is that eventually it ossifies into plain old product. This is all well and fine (Ancellm is reportedly selling very well in Japan and abroad), but going forwards the proposition on the runway would benefit from less stuff and more bite.

Mukcyen Tokyo Spring 2026 Collection

by jummy84 September 2, 2025
written by jummy84

The buzziest womenswear debut on Tokyo Fashion Week’s slimmed down schedule this season is Yuka Kimura, a 27-year-old Yohji Yamamoto alum who started her own brand, Mukcyen (pronounced muh-shan), in 2023. Kimura is the winner of the JFW Next Brand Award 2026, and thus kicked off a week of shows with her first outing for the brand.

The show unfolded in a Dune-like palette of skintight dresses, while the thick leather harnesses, corset jerkins, and chainmail detailing lent a medieval-vampire dark fantasy vibe. Layered cupro dresses, tops, and leggings clung and hung from the body like bandages. Appropriately these looks were part of what the designer is calling the “second skin series,” and had been infused with oil, which Kimura said increases the skin’s moisture content. Clothing meets skincare—handy.

There were deconstructed pink velour tracksuits too, and some of the models nursed small beaten-up teddy bears on their sleeves, but any softness was neutralized by the dangerous-looking silver claws from Tokyo-based jewelry designer Fangophilia. Kimura, who has bleached hair and eyebrows and wears a lot of body-con black, said of her aesthetic: “I like to look serious rather than fun.”

As well as a designer, Kimura is an influencer who has built a 200k-strong social following, her feed populated with the same dystopian techno-goth vibes as her runway. And while it would be easy to write her off as another fashion Instagrammer starting their own vanity brand, the fashion talent and potential was clear at this first outing. You could certainly see those second skin dresses on Tokyo’s edgiest club kids. “The ideal person I’m envisioning is someone who is assertive and unyielding,” she said. “It’s about more than just being popular; I want the women who wear my clothes to feel self-assured.”
