written by jummy84

#GilbertArenas had a little jokey joke to get off his chest following the arrests of #ChaunceyBillups and #TerryRozier.

Playing into online chatter suggesting he might’ve had something to do with the FBI probe that broke the internet today, the retired #NBA player wrote, “Got that Informant Lunch special this morning.” If you recall, Arenas was arrested over the summer for allegedly running an illegal gambling operation out of his Los Angeles home.

This morning (Oct. 23), Portland #TrailBlazers head coach Chauncey Billups and #MiamiHeat guard Terry Rozier were among more than 30 individuals arrested in a sweeping federal investigation into illegal sports-betting and poker-rigging schemes.

Is it too soon for Arenas to be playing around?

Miami Heat’s Terry Rozier & Portland Trail Blazers Head Coach Chauncey Billups Among Those Arrested In Connection w/ Federal Gambling Probe

The #NBA isn’t playing around this morning (Oct. 23).

Portland Trail Blazers head coach #ChaunceyBillups and Miami Heat guard #TerryRozier were arrested in connection with a federal investigation into illegal gambling. Rozier was taken into custody at an Orlando hotel after Miami’s game against the Magic; he didn’t play in the matchup due to a coach’s decision.

Billups, now in his fifth season leading Portland, was arrested in Oregon in what ABC News described as a “separate but related” illegal betting operation. Former NBA player #DamonJones was also taken into custody. It’s reported that more than 30 people were arrested as part of a yearslong investigation covering 11 states. The Eastern District of New York and FBI Director Kash Patel will hold a news conference later today to outline the allegations. The story is developing.

“He believed it was okay for a coach to love his players.” In doing so, he changed leadership in professional sports and left a legacy that continues to resonate with NFL generations even today. Blue Harbor Ent. has revealed an official trailer for the documentary film titled Luv Ya Bum!, which is actually a sports history film about Texas football in the 1970s. With narration from actor Dennis Quaid. In the ’70s, the struggling Houston Oilers turned to Bum Phillips, an unconventional cowboy-hat-wearing coach who built a family-first team of misfits and stars such as Earl Campbell. Together they ignited the “Luv Ya Blue!” phenomenon, challenged the Steelers dynasty, and captured a city’s heart. Featuring rare, archival footage and impactful interviews with football legends, including Earl Campbell, Dan Pastorini, Peyton Manning, Sean McVay, Terry Bradshaw, Jerry Jones, J.J. Watt, Von Miller, DeMarcus Ware, and Bum’s own son & grandson, NFL coaches Wade and Wes Phillips. This premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival and won the Documentary Spotlight Audience Award. Looks like a fun one to watch even if you aren’t familiar with Coach Bum already.

Here’s the official trailer for Douglas & Harstein & Miller’s sports doc Luv Ya Bum!, from YouTube:

Luv Ya Bum! is co-directed by filmmakers Sam Wainwright Douglas (Honky Tonk Heaven: Legend of the Broken Spoke, Through the Repellent Fence, Hot Grease) & David Hartstein & Andrew Alden Miller – all of three them worked on the Faders Up: The John Aielli Experience doc film previously. Ranbir Kapoor’s fitness coach shares how AI can transform the fitness industry: Personalised coaching, feedback and more

by jummy84 October 19, 2025
written by jummy84

Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the fitness industry, making coaching more personalised, data-driven, and responsive. By analysing real-time feedback and individual patterns, AI is helping people train smarter, prevent injuries, and achieve sustainable results.

According to Shivohaam, AI can transform the fitness industry’s approach to coaching.(Unsplash)

Celebrity fitness coach Shivohaam Bhatt, who has worked with prominent figures like Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Aamir Khan, shared with HT Lifestyle how the fitness and wellness industry is being revolutionised by the impact of AI.

He highlights, “The global wellness and fitness industry is experiencing a fundamental transformation. What once relied on generic workout plans, calorie charts, and manual coaching has rapidly evolved into a hyper-personalised, data-driven ecosystem powered by Artificial Intelligence.”

According to Shivohaam, combining AI with fitness can revolutionise how humans approach health, performance, and long-term wellbeing. He says, “This shift is not merely technological. It is also biological, psychological, and behavioural. AI is helping millions bypass trial-and-error, eliminate guesswork, prevent injuries, and achieve sustainable results – faster and more intelligently than ever before.”

Precision wellness powered by AI

According to Shivohaam, AI can provide personalised diet plans and workout charts tailored to the unique needs of an individual. He explains, “Traditional fitness and diet plans often assume that what works for one person should work for all. AI has proven why this approach fails. Human bodies function uniquely based on genetics, hormones, training history, stress levels, and environmental influences.”

AI enables a new level of hyper-personalisation in fitness by analysing multi-dimensional data based on real-time biofeedback, much like how an expert coach would adjust a routine after observing a client’s progress. Fitness-focused AI can analyse the following parameters:

  • Body composition, training history, and movement patterns
  • Sleep quality and heart rate variability (HRV)
  • Recovery rate, stress levels, and nervous system readiness
  • Gut feedback and nutrient tolerance
  • Emotional consistency, mindset patterns, and lifestyle constraints

Real-time coaching

The fitness coach explains, “This is a breakthrough for people training alone or remotely. AI bridges the gap between guidance and execution by merging coaching intelligence with in-the-moment performance analysis.”

AI can transform fitness with real-time coaching powered by motion sensors, wearable tech, and computer vision. These advanced platforms can correct your form to prevent injuries, detect asymmetry to spot weak points, adjust load or tempo based on fatigue, and analyse muscle engagement for more effective training.

Consistency fueled by AI

According to Shivohaam, “The largest problem in fitness isn’t lack of information – it’s lack of consistency. AI understands human fluctuation. It doesn’t rely on motivation; it builds systems that drive predictable results.”

AI integrates behavioural science to help build sustainable fitness habits. It uses smart reminders to encourage consistency, adaptive schedules that align with natural energy peaks, and motivation tracking to reduce dropout rates. By setting micro-goals to maintain momentum and incorporating accountability protocols for structured adherence, AI makes long-term fitness progress more achievable and personalised.

AI as a coaching assistant

According to Shivohaam, AI has the potential to enhance coaching, not replace it. He explains, “Contrary to fear-driven myths, AI is not replacing human coaches – it is elevating them. AI automates repetitive tasks like progress tracking, calorie adjustments, and performance evaluation, allowing coaches to focus on what truly matters: strategy, emotional support, and mindset transformation.”

He highlights that with AI integration,

  • Coaches can deliver personalisation at scale
  • Client progress becomes measurable and transparent
  • Data enables deep decision-making for long-term transformations
  • Time-consuming manual tracking is eliminated

He concludes, “AI in wellness is not a shortcut. It is a strategic partner that empowers deeper human potential by combining science, data, and intelligent adaptation. The future of fitness will belong to those who embrace this powerful fusion of precision and personalisation, where transformation is not a trend – but a lifelong evolution.”

Weight loss coach shares 5 carbs for easy fat loss, saying, ‘Carbs are not the enemy…’

by jummy84 October 9, 2025
written by jummy84

Carbs often take up a fair share of the blame for weight gain. Carbs, despite being an essential macronutrient, are usually villainised to the point of being completely eliminated from the diet. But the reality is much more nuanced, and you don’t need to impose a blanket ban on carbs.

You can lose weight with carbs too! Find out how. (Representative Image: Pexel)

ALSO READ: Fitness coach shares why carbs are important for women to reduce belly fat, suggests 20 meal ideas

Melissa, a weight loss coach, shared in a September 9 post, debunking the misconception of carbs being the enemy. She explained, “Carbs are not the enemy. I have a client who’s 75 lbs down and eats carbs daily because she’s in a calorie deficit.”

She drew attention to complex carbs’ ability to keep you full for a long time, reducing the chances of derailing calorie-deficit plans by giving in to hunger pangs.

Melissa shared these 6 carbs which help you with weight loss:

1. Oats

First up is oats. The weight loss coach highlighted it’s a good source of soluble fibre, which in turn slows digestion and keeps you full for longer. This also helps to lower hunger pangs, control appetite and reduce snacking urges.

Melissa too, has this carb in her diet. She added, “I make overnight oats or add protein powder to my quick oatmeal in the morning!”

2. Whole-grain bread

Bread is a common source of carbs, but which one you have makes a big difference. Melissa recommended whole-grain bread as it is high in fibre and contains vitamins, iron, magnesium and antioxidants. Often, other types of breads may not have these nutrients. The weight loss coach shared that she often included whole-grain bread in her diet, either as toast with eggs or in her lunch sandwich

3. Non-starchy vegetables

Veggies may not often pop up in mind when you think of calories, but vegetables also contain carbs. According to Melissa, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, kale, zucchini, bell peppers, and asparagus are some of the options which are low in calories but high in fibre and water. She added, “They fill you up! Also, helps regulate blood sugar and reduce cravings.” For the weight loss coach, half of the plate is occupied by non-starchy veggies.

4. Fruit

Fruits also contain carbs. Melissa revealed that they are naturally sweet, rich in fibre and contain antioxidants. She eats fruit as a snack or with nut butter or Greek yoghurt.

5. Sweet potatoes

The sweeter counterpart of potatoes is on this list, as Melissa highlighted its high fibre content, which keeps hunger at bay. She called it versatile, as it can easily fit in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

6. Brown, basmati or jasmine rice

Brown rice is a healthier alternative.(Picture credit: Freepik)

Instead of cutting out rice completely, the weight loss coach recommended healthier alternatives like brown, basmati, or jasmine rice, as they are gluten-free and provide a steady source of glucose. For meal planning, she shared that she often mixes rice with cauliflower to create a satisfying, filling meal.

written by jummy84

As much as I’d love someone to stop me on the street with a mini mic and ask for my outfit details, I know my daily style is far too simple for that. I prefer unfussy and comfortable pieces that still make me feel cool and well-dressed while remaining true to my personal style. So, when it came to shopping the latest fall arrivals, I found myself gravitating towards knitwear, denim, footwear, and handbags. I want to wear cardigans with corduroy pants and suede sneakers, merlot and butter-yellow dresses with Tory Burch mules, and a striped barn jacket with virtually everything I’ve shopped out below. There are so many great new pieces out there, so shop 33 of this week’s arrivals below. I can’t wait to wear these all over NYC this season.

Fitness coach explains what to do if you want to live past age 90: ‘Train your legs like your life depends on it’

by jummy84 September 28, 2025

Having strong legs is crucial for overall health. But did you know your leg strength can help increase life expectancy? In a September 27 Instagram video, fitness coach Dan Go spoke about the crucial connection between leg strength and longevity, explaining that developing leg muscles is the single most important action for extending lifespan and preserving brain health. Also read | Start your day with these 5 yoga asanas for strong legs

Fitness coach Dan Go highlighted the importance of leg strength for longevity and overall health. (Representative picture: Shutterstock)

Why strong legs matter

According to Dan, the thigh muscle mass inversely correlates with mortality, meaning that greater muscle in the legs substantially reduces the risk of early death. In the video he posted, Dan said: “The stronger your legs are, the longer you live. The single most important thing you can do to preserve your brain health, extend lifespan, and improve the quality of your life is strengthening and also adding muscle to your legs. While most people think the secret to living longer is in fancy supplements or fancy treatments or some futuristic breakthrough, it’s actually about not skipping leg day.”

Dan shared that strong legs function as the body’s foundation, supporting balance, preventing falls, and maintaining healthy brain and cardiovascular systems through regular movement. He said, “Your thigh muscle mass inversely correlates with mortality. This means the more muscle you carry in your legs, the lower your risk of dying early. People with stronger, larger leg muscles live longer and maintain higher levels of independence, especially as they age. This makes absolute sense because your legs are the foundation for your entire body. Strong legs don’t just help you walk, sprint, run, and jump. They help you maintain balance, prevent falls, and keeps your brain and cardiovascular systems healthy through movement.”

Simple exercises for building leg strength

Dan encouraged people to focus on consistency in simple exercises like squats and lunges, rather than complex training regimens, as the key to a longer, more independent life. According to Dan, “You don’t need to train like a powerlifter or bodybuilder or a professional athlete. Getting stronger in simple movements like the squat, the step up, the lunge, Romanian deadlifts, or even just like walking uphill make a massive difference over time. The absolute key is just inconsistency. So if you care about living longer, keeping your brain healthy, and living a life of energy and independence, especially as you get older. Never skip leg day.”

He wrote in his caption, “Want to live past 90? Train your legs like your life depends on it. Because it does. Research shows that thigh muscle mass inversely correlates with dying early. Stronger legs mean a longer life. Weaker legs predict nursing homes, falls, and dependence. My 70-year-old clients who squat regularly outperform sedentary 40-year-olds. You don’t need fancy equipment. Just squats, lunges, step-ups. Even walking uphill builds the muscle that keeps you independent. Strong legs support your brain, heart, and balance. They’re your insurance policy against ageing. Never skip leg day. Your 80-year-old self is counting on it.”

Travis Kelce insists he ‘loves’ Kansas City Chiefs head coach

by jummy84 September 27, 2025
written by jummy84

27 September 2025

Travis Kelce enjoys being challenged by Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.

Travis Kelce has played down talk of a rift

The 35-year-old NFL star has recently come under fire after an on-field confrontation with Reid, but Travis insists that they’re aren’t lingering problems between them.

He told the Kansas City Star: “I love that guy, man. There’s nothing outside of this building that’s going to make me feel any different way. We know exactly each other’s intentions.”

Travis suggested that coach Reid “challenges” him during games to ensure he produces his best possible form. The sports star – who is engaged to pop singer Taylor Swift – actually believes that Reid’s approach has helped to take his own game “to another level”.

He said: “I think what coach Reid does best is he challenges guys to be at their best, and I love that about him. It definitely helped me take my game to another level that game.”

Earlier this year, Travis insisted that he still has “a lot more to prove” in the NFL.

The sports star briefly contemplated retirement after losing the 2025 Super Bowl, but Travis still feels motivated and ambitious.

He told reporters: “It wasn’t a very tough [decision] for me.

“I know I’m getting older, but at the same time I still feel like I got a lot that I can prove in this league. It really wasn’t that hard of a decision for me.”

Travis felt hurt after losing the Super Bowl earlier this year, but his passion for the sport remains as strong as ever.

He said: “I love football. I don’t think I really thought about it that much. My friends and family and the team and the guys and women in this building, I love coming into work every single day.”

Despite this, Travis took his time before deciding to commit himself to another season with the Kansas City Chiefs.

He explained: “You want to let the emotions die down [after the end of the season].

“That was the biggest thing — you don’t want to make decisions off initial emotions. But for the most part, once they died down, I still felt like I had that fire in my chest to be able to keep coming in and building and be better and chase another Super Bowl.”

Weight loss coach reveals 5 things to do immediately after waking up for women to lose their belly fat

by jummy84 September 27, 2025
written by jummy84

Belly fat is one hardest regions to lose weight and slim down. But sometimes, the process of dropping belly fat can become easier based on what you do after waking up. Small morning habits support your system, regulate your hormones and improve metabolism for the rest of the day. Weight loss coach Akanni Salako shared in a September 26 Instagram post on 5 things women can do after waking up to ease up belly weight loss process.

Morning habits play a role in slimming down your belly fat. (Freepik)

ALSO READ: Weight loss coach shares 5 breakfast options for women above 40 to lose hormonal belly fat

Here are the 5 habits he suggested:

1. Drinking water with psyllium husk

First up, he suggested ‘restoring gut health’ early in the morning. Akanni shared, “Every morning, 8 ounces of water, some psyllium husk and apple cider vinegar. This helps reduce bloating and support digestion before food hits your system.” A healthy gut is essential in kickstarting your metabolism for the day.

2. Eat a GLP-1 boosting breakfast

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day, making it crucial to eat foods that help with satiety, suppress appetite, and regulate blood sugar, to avoid crashes later in the day.

He suggested, “This can look like eggs, avocados and berries in the morning. This keeps you full longer and then supports the hormones that regulate your appetite and your blood sugar.”

3. Avoid high insulin foods

Deciding what to eat for breakfast is vital as it sets the mood and energy for the day. The weight loss coach cautioned against foods that may spike insulin, such as the classic breakfast staples, such as cereals, toast, and sugary lattes.

4. Don’t drink coffee immediately

The idea of bed tea or bed coffee may seem tempting, a cosy way to sip and begin the day in bed, but the weight loss coach instead emphasised delaying the coffee in the morning.

Rather, according to him, the correct order should be, “I need you to have water first, then your protein and then have your coffee. This balances your cortisol levels so we don’t have stress spikes right away.”

5. Walk for a while

Morning routine may seem hectic, grabbing some coffee and commuting to work and then sitting down to remain immobile and inactive in a chair for long hours. Akanni instead urged to walk for a minimum of 10 minutes to get some sunlight. As per him, it benefits the internal body’s clock. He said, “This boosts your mood, increases your metabolism and helps regulate your circadian rhythm, which is what is going to help you sleep better at night.” So how you begin your day impacts how you end it!

Boredom and irritation often creep into long-term relationships – but relationship coach Javal Bhatt reveals 3 super easy ways to keep the spark alive.

Being in a long-term relationship isn’t always as effortless as the honeymoon phase makes it seem. Over time, many couples find themselves feeling bored, irritable, or even disconnected from their partners – small issues that, if left unchecked, can snowball into bigger relationship problems.

Relationship coach Javal Bhatt has shared 3 simple tips you can follow to prevent boredom in a relationship.(Unsplash)

Javal Bhatt, a relationship coach, motivator, and writer, shared three simple tips to keep the spark alive in your relationship. In an Instagram video posted on November 26, 2022, he explained how to prevent boredom from creeping in, even after you’re fully committed. His advice focuses on building small but meaningful habits that keep love, curiosity, and excitement intact over time.

Don’t stop flirting

According to Javal, it’s important to keep the spark of flirting alive, not just in the early stages of dating, but even after committing to a relationship or marriage. He explains, “Flirting keeps the romantic relationship alive and helps you prevent taking your partner or relationship for granted.”

Avoid talking all day

Javal points out that talking to your partner 24×7 means you are always updated about each other. This takes away the curiosity and excitement of sharing things when you finally meet or talk at the end of the day. Jawal’s advice? “Decide the mutual timings of the day when you both are available and fully free to invest the quality time.”

Laugh together

The relationship coach recommends sharing memes, watching comedy movies together, and teasing each other in a playful way. He further elaborates, “I’m not saying you laugh all the time but research shows that a couple who often laughs together is a couple who stays together in a long lasting relationship.”
