Kelly Clarkson Fired Back at Ex-Manager Who Told Her to Get a Boob Job

“People say that shit. They say it all the time to people in the industry,” said the singer in Las Vegas. “I’m like, ‘This is not normal. You’ve normalized crazy.'”

While performing during her Studio Sessions residency in Las Vegas, Kelly Clarkson recalled a time in her career when a former manager told her to get plastic surgery for her breasts — to which she rightly fired back at the time.

“I had some dick manager one time tell me to get a boob job,” Kelly told the crowd in a video shared by Entertainment News. “I was like, ‘Why don’t you get a dick job?’” she continued, eliciting cheers from the audience. “Like, what? I’m fine with my itty-bitty titties! Get out of here. Driving your big old car, making up for it.”

“But I just was like, ‘Who says that shit?’ People say that shit! They say it all the time to people in the industry,” Clarkson said. “They say the craziest shit, and I’m like, ‘This is not normal! You’ve normalized crazy!’ Everybody out here looking like they’re in the Capitol in Hunger Games.”

“Calm down, just get old,” she added. “Be glad — Not everybody gets to get old, you know what I’m saying?”

Clarkson announced her Vegas residency earlier this year and performed eight gigs at the Colosseum. The singer had to step away in early August after revealing that her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, was ill. Blackstock died on Aug. 7, with the cause later revealed to skin cancer.

She returned to the stage on Friday, marking her first full performance since his death, and previously announced a new set of summer 2026 dates.

Kelly Clarkson Adds More 2026 Dates to Las Vegas Residency

by jummy84 November 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Ahead of her return to Las Vegas this week, Kelly Clarkson has announced a new set of summer 2026 dates for her “Studio Sessions” residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Clarkson has added four new dates for next August to her calendar, to go along with the six 2026 shows she’d already announced. The run will start July 17 and end Aug. 15. Tickets for the newly added dates will go on sale Nov. 7 at 10 a.m. PT, with a presale scheduled to start Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. PT. A limited number of tickets for Clarkson’s previously announced concerts are on sale now.

Clarkson announced her Studio Sessions residency earlier this year but abruptly postponed the run’s first few shows hours before opening night, July 4. In an Instagram post, Clarkson said preparing for the shows had “taken a toll” on her voice, and that she needed to rest to prevent “doing serious damage.”

Clarkson did return the following weekend as planned and performed eight gigs at the Colosseum, but then had to step away again in early August after revealing that her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, was ill. Blackstock died on Aug. 7, with the cause later revealed to be melanoma, a type of skin cancer.

In the months after Blackstock’s death, Clarkson kept a low profile but has steadily returned to the public eye. In late September, she returned to her daytime talk show, opening the episode with a cover of the Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights.” She’s set to return to the stage later this week, Nov. 7, for the first of four previously scheduled Studio Sessions shows. The other gigs will take place Nov. 8, 14, and 15.

Drew Barrymore Wins in Upset Over Kelly Clarkson

by jummy84 October 18, 2025
written by jummy84

After five years of winning in at least one of her two categories, Kelly Clarkson was shut out at the 2025 Daytime Emmys. The awards were held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, Calif., on Friday (Oct. 17). Mario Lopez hosted the show.

Drew Barrymore won outstanding daytime talk series host for The Drew Barrymore Show. This is the second year in a row that Clarkson has been upset in this category (which she won the four years before that). She lost last year to Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, the married stars of the syndicated Live With Kelly and Mark.

This year, Live With Kelly and Mark won outstanding daytime talk series, ending (or at least interrupting) The Kelly Clarkson Show’s four-year hold on the category. This is the second top program award for the long-running Live franchise. Live! with Regis and Kelly (when Ripa teamed with talk show legend Regis Philbin) won outstanding talk show – entertainment in 2012.

Barrymore has had a multi-faceted career, starting as a child star in E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial. In 2018 she was the subject of Bryce Vine’s Billboard Hot 100 hit “Drew Barrymore.”

The Drew Barrymore Show also won best directing team and best hairstyling/makeup, for a total of three wins. The Kelly Clarkson Show won two – best lighting direction and best live sound mixing/sound editing.

General Hospital won seven awards, tops for the night, followed by The Drew Barrymore Show, The Secret Lives of Animals and Secret Lives of Orangutans (three awards each), and Black Barbie, Days of Our Lives, Delicious Miss Brown, Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade, Entertainment Tonight and The Kelly Clarkson Show (two awards each).

Entertainment Tonight won outstanding entertainment news series for the sixth consecutive year, while the host team (Cassie DiLaura, Denny Directo, Kevin Frazier, Rachel Smith and Nischelle Turner) won outstanding daytime personality – daily. But an ET-branded program remembering a TV legend, Bob Newhart: A Legacy of Laughter, An Entertainment Tonight Special, surprisingly lost outstanding daytime special to Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade.

Sir David Attenborough, 99, won outstanding daytime personality – non-daily for the Netflix program, Secret Lives of Orangutans. In so doing, he set a new record as the oldest person to win a Daytime Emmy, beating Dick Van Dyke’s record by one year. Van Dyke won outstanding guest performer in a drama series last year at 98 for his performance on Days of Our Lives.

Selena Gomez’s Food Network series Selena + Restaurant was nominated for outstanding culinary instructional series, but lost to Delicious Miss Brown on the Food Network. Gomez has now gone 0-3 at the Daytime Emmys, 0-5 at the Primetime Emmys and 0-1 at the Children’s and Family Emmys. (Bottom line: She is due for a win.)

Three top entertainment media brands – Billboard, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter – were recognized in the nominations (though none wound up winning). Billboard Presents was nominated for outstanding short form program. Variety Studio: Actors on Actors and Off Script With the Hollywood Reporter were both nominated for outstanding arts and popular culture program.

Billboard Presents are the video cover profiles that Billboard produces for some of its cover artists. The specific episode submitted for the series was the cover video with conductor Gustavo Dudamel. Other Billboard Presents segments include cover videos with A$AP Rocky, Tyler, The Creator and Charli XCX.

The In Memoriam segment included talk show pioneer Phil Donahue; game show hosts Chuck Woolery, Peter Marshall and Wink Martindale; fitness guru and personality Richard Simmons; televangelist Jimmy Swaggart; acting legend James Earl Jones; and Food Network star Anne Burrell.

The awards are presented annually by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. If it seems like more than a year has gone by since the last Daytime Emmys, you’re right. Last year’s Daytime Emmys were held on June 7, 2024 the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles.

Unlike the past five years, when the show aired on CBS, this year’s program streamed live on watch.theemmys.tv and on the Emmys app.

Veteran broadcast journalist Deborah Norville received a lifetime achievement honor.

Jeremy Clarkson “Frightened” to Voice Views After Charlie Kirk Death

by jummy84 September 11, 2025
written by jummy84

Jeremy Clarkson has said he feels scared to be a newspaper columnist following the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk, the influential right-wing activist.

In a comment shortly after Kirk’s death was confirmed, Clarkson wrote on X/Twitter: “For the first time in my life, I’m genuinely frightened about being a newspaper columnist.”

An X user implored the former Top Gear presenter to stick to writing about cars, to which Clarkson replied: “But what if someone disagrees with my view that, say, the new M5 is a bit dull. Everyone is so angry all the time these days.”

The Clarkson’s Farm star writes weekly op-eds for Rupert Murdoch’s The Sun and The Sunday Times newspapers, where he is known for being deliberately provocative.

After Clarkson’s remark about being frightened to voice his views, some people pointed out that the presenter has often turned to violent imagery in his own prose. Clarkson’s supporters have defended his darkly comic humor, but he has expressed regret about his language in the past.

Most notably, Clarkson apologized after he used a 2022 column in The Sun to imagine a Game of Thrones-inspired scenario in which Meghan Markle was paraded naked through British towns being pelted with excrement.

In 2011, Clarkson apologized after he appeared on BBC1’s The One Show and said that he would have striking public sector workers “shot.” He added: “I would take them outside and execute them in front of their families.”

Piers Morgan was among the other British media personalities to speak out after Kirk’s death on Wednesday in Utah. “An appalling assault on free speech and democracy. Charlie always welcomed debate, with anyone. This is disgusting, and heart-breaking,” Morgan said.

Morgan later added: “Seeing so many clips/posts of supposedly ‘kind tolerant’ liberals gleefully celebrating Charlie Kirk’s murder. They’re so utterly disgusting.”

The Turning Point USA founder was hailed by Donald Trump as being “loved and admired by all.” A manhunt is ongoing for Kirk’s killer.
