“Every single man here deserves the hope of becoming someone better.” An impressive festival trailer has debuted online for a documentary film titled Beyond, made by directors Asia Johnson & Michael Kleiman. This is premiering coming up this weekend at the 2025 DOC NYC Film Festival in the city. It’s a refreshing follow-up to the acclaimed, Oscar-nominated film Sing Sing from a few years ago, and it is also executive produced by Clarence Maclin, who starred in that film as “Divine Eye”. Beyond tells the story of a group of men at Sing Sing prison (in NY State), as they organize and prepare for a TED Talk-style event, featuring personal narratives & ideas for changing the prison system. Powerful, heartbreaking, ultimately uplifting, the doc follows a group of incarcerated men as they get ready for their event called “Beyond the Block” (watch all the videos here). From filmmakers Asia Johnson (who was previously incarcerated) and Michael Kleinman, this film Beyond is a very timely examination of the myriad issues within the American prison industrial complex & the ways in which progress is slowly being made from the inside out. This looks good.

Here’s the first look trailer for Asia Johnson & Michael Kleiman’s doc film Beyond, direct from YouTube:

Intro via DOC NYC: “The men behind the prison walls of Sing Sing Correctional Facility find a much-needed outlet in Beyond the Block, a TED-style public speaking symposium. Conceived and developed by an incarcerated planning committee, the event allows participants to explore their humanity in otherwise adverse circumstances. Beyond follows the presenters, from auditions to triumphant moments on stage, as they express their truths in front of an audience of policy-makers, prison officials, and loved ones.” Beyond is a documentary film produced and directed by filmmakers Asia Johnson (making her first feature film after many other shorts) & Michael Kleiman (director of The Last Survivor, Web previously). Executive produced by Clarence Maclin & JJ Velazquez. This is premiering at the 2025 DOC NYC Film Festival – for tickets to screenings, visit docnyc.net. Queen Naija Checks Trolls Over Clarence NYC Birthday Surprise

by jummy84 October 19, 2025
written by jummy84

Queen Naija isn’t here for none of the slick talk about Clarence NYC’s sweet gestures for her 30th birthday. The singer celebrated on Oct. 17, and Clarence went all out to make her day special. But of course, the trolls had plenty to say, questioning his romantic moves and bringing up, once again, why he still hasn’t put a ring on it.

Queen Naija Lived It Up For Her 30th Birthday, But Trolls Tried To Dim The Vibes

Even on her birthday, the internet couldn’t let Queen Naija and Clarence NYC catch a break. Queen dropped a video of her and Clarence on X (formerly Twitter) from her birthday celebration, and when one social media user tried to come for them writing, “So is he still stupid or what?” Queen immediately defend her man with, “cause he ain’t stupid TF.” She also told commenters that she didn’t even post the video herself, her team put it up. “I didn’t post that on here for yall ungrateful heffas…my label reposted from TikTok. Now shut up.”

Fans Come Through Defending Queen After Trolls Try To Shade Her

One social media user tried to come for Queen and Clarence, but over in The Shade Room Teens comment section, folks had her back. Plenty of Roomies called out the trolls for bullying Queen and pressuring her about not being married yet.

Instagram user @_naomi_carter wrote, “So everybody who telling her to get married is already married right🤔”

Instagram user @fancylion24 wrote, “She’s already a wife they live together have kids together she just doesn’t have the ring let her be ❤️”

While Instagram user @theywannabekaay2 wrote, “Y’all all better be happily married while y’all worried ab her.”

Then Instagram user @kyioncloud999 wrote, “y’all gone stop bullying queen.”

Another Instagram user @mermaidvibezz2 wrote, “I mean y’all be with the same man for centuries and putting up with cheating and you’re still not a wife. Relax.”

Instagram user @prettyykeira wrote, “Why y’all care so much about these people???? Do yall get paid to care im confused.”

While another Instagram user @ms_deabreu wrote, “Some people are so haters fr like let people live smh 😢”

Instagram user @misshirah_ wrote, “Imagine they eloped and just ain’t say nun 💀💀😂”

Finally, Instagram user @nxh.4 wrote, “What if they secretly eloped already???”

Clarence Is Queen’s Man & She’s Stickin’ Beside Him!

The internet might have opinions on Queen Naija and Clarence NYC’s relationship, but she’s not phased one bit. Recently, she teased some new music that will be dropping this month that looks like it’s going to be aimed at the trolls that stay talking. On X, Queen shared a video of herself riding around in a whip with the caption, “Them: “LEAVE HIM” Me:” which shows her singing some lyrics from an unreleased track.

bitchy | Prince Harry claps back on the Sun’s curious insider story of his Clarence House visit

by jummy84 September 28, 2025
written by jummy84

On September 10, Prince Harry traveled from his event at Imperial College London’s Centre for Blast Injury Studies to Clarence House. King Charles’s courtiers tipped off the press, and dozens of photographers and royal rota were waiting outside of Clarence House to catch a glimpse of Harry’s SUV being waved in. Harry met with his father for less than an hour. It was the first time Charles and Harry had been in the same room since February 2024. Harry has said very little about the meeting, and when he spoke to the Guardian in Ukraine, he spoke in generalities about wanting to visit the UK more often, especially over the next year.

Harry has kept up his end of the deal struck with Charles, the deal being “Harry can’t talk about Charles or the meeting, but Charles and his rancid courtiers can freely brief about it.” Add to all of this, Prince William has been having a nervous breakdown over Harry’s UK visit and Clarence House meeting ever since, and William and his courtiers can’t shut about it. There are at least two royal courts (Charles and William) doing the most to impose their narratives about Harry, his UK trip, the meeting and what it all means. Don’t forget about Camilla, spreading her rottweiler narratives as well. On Friday, the Sun dropped their big exclusive about “what happened at the meeting,” with sources claiming to have insider information from Harry’s side. Harry’s spokesperson furiously issued a statement within hours of the Sun’s publication, so the Sun basically had to rewrite their piece to include Harry’s denials. Some highlights:

Harry the official visitor: The reunion of Prince Harry and King Charles saw them swap presents and kisses on the cheek — but there were no plans made for the future, The Sun can reveal. After the 53-minute summit at Clarence House, wild rumours circulated that the pair had discussed Harry resuming some royal duties on a “half-in, half-out” basis. However, we can now reveal, the pair’s sit down earlier this month was “distinctly formal” and there is still no prospect of Harry returning to the family fold. Harry was surprised by the formalities of his recent reunion with the King — and even joked he felt more like an “official visitor” than a family member, we can reveal. He handed his father a framed photograph of their children Archie and Lilibet to mark their reunion – but Harry and Meghan were not in the family photo.

Harry’s spokesperson: “Recent reporting of the Duke’s view of the tone of the meeting is categorically false. The quotes attributed to him are pure invention fed, one can only assume, by sources intent on sabotaging any reconciliation between father and son. Presumably, those same sources have also chosen to disclose that gifts were exchanged. While we would have preferred such details to remain private, for the sake of clarity we can confirm that a framed photograph was handed over, however the image did not contain the Duke and Duchess.”

Charles gave Harry a birthday gift: In a touching return gesture the King, 76, gave his youngest son a birthday present, as he was to turn 41 just six days later. But the duke was understood to have described the meeting with his father as “very official, like an official visit”. Insiders said the awkward exchange was carried out in similar style to that of dignitaries and visitors at royal residences.

Charles wants to have tea with Harry again: The King’s door remains open for another private cup of tea next time Harry is back in London. Harry was whisked into Clarence House in the back of a Land Rover to see his father while on an “faux royal” tour earlier this month. The Sun can reveal they greeted each other warmly with kisses on the cheek, before swapping gifts and having tea privately. Harry’s visit was sandwiched between two other audiences for the King. He arrived at 5.21pm and left at 6.14pm for an Invictus Games reception. Charles’s face-to-face with Harry was the King’s shortest audience of the day, after flying down earlier from Balmoral for engagements.

But what about PEG?!!? Claims the meeting was part of concerted efforts to undermine Prince William’s relationship with his father have also been denied. Harry’s spokesman said: “Categorically not. Harry is not trying to drive a wedge between the Prince of Wales and the King.” A source close to William has branded reports that he and the King are at odds as “rubbish”.

[From The Sun & The Royalist]

This is why I’ve always believed it’s stupid for Harry to even try to adhere to Charles’s dumb “rules.” The rules being “Harry can’t say anything about Charles” and “Harry has to coordinate schedules so that he doesn’t overshadow Charles’s big events.” Harry is giving away his two biggest advantages – his ability to correct the record, and the ability to get attention no matter what, especially at the expense of the left-behinds. Clearly, Harry has no problem correcting the record and I appreciate how responsive Team Sussex was on this story. As Tom Sykes noted in his coverage, “By suggesting that the same individual who leaked the gift also spun a line about a stiff, diplomatic tone to the meeting, Harry draws a line straight back to the top tier of his father’s household..” Exactly. As much as we’ve correctly assumed that Prince William and his courtiers are largely responsible for the panicked, paranoid and enraged briefings in recent weeks, the truth is that Charles and his people have been behind several of these stories. Including this one.

bitchy | Prince Harry & King Charles met for tea at Clarence House for 55 minutes

by jummy84 September 12, 2025
written by jummy84

Honestly, I believed that Prince Harry and King Charles would meet at some point this week. I realized that it would happen when I noticed that Harry had not said one word (one way or the other) about meeting his father. If Charles had rejected him or shut down the request, Harry would have called him out publicly yet again. So, long story short, Harry went to Clarence House on Wednesday afternoon. Charles had flown back to London from Balmoral on Wednesday morning. Charles didn’t come back to London solely to meet Harry – Charles has been receiving cancer treatments mid-week in London for the past 18 months or so. That’s why Charles was back in London, but sure, he made a point of having a 55-minute meeting with Harry as well.

Prince Harry and King Charles have reunited. It marks the first time that the father and son have met in person since February 2024, days after King Charles, 76, revealed he was being treated for an undisclosed cancer.

Prince Harry, 40, was seen arriving by car at Clarence House, the King’s London residence, around 5:20 p.m. local time on Sept. 10. He was inside for about 55 minutes before departing.

Following the meeting, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the King had a private tea at Clarence House with the Duke of Sussex and said no further details would be shared. A spokesperson for Prince Harry echoed the same, reiterating that father and son met for tea and that there would be no additional comment.

The Duke of Sussex returned to the U.K. on Sept. 8 to support some of his key charities and causes. After arriving in his home country and paying tribute to Queen Elizabeth on the third anniversary of her death on Sept. 8, Harry attended the WellChild Awards. The following day, he traveled to Nottingham, England — about 130 miles north of London — to highlight the work being done for young people there.

The father and son were both in London on Wednesday. The Duke of Sussex visited Imperial College London’s Centre for Blast Injury Studies that day, greeting fans who were waiting outside as he left. Shaking hands and snapping selfies, he excused himself by saying, “I have to go, I’m so late… I’ve got to go, I’ve got to go. Nice to meet you guys,” according to the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, the King was spotted boarding a plane from Scotland, where he was spending time at Balmoral Castle in recent weeks, to the capital city.

[From People]

I could not believe the kind of mainstream coverage this got. The Wall Street Journal, WaPo, NBC News, the BBC, Sky News, and more, all providing breathless coverage like it was a 21st century Potsdam. CNN even had “breaking news” coverage with the banner and everything. Anyway, I’m glad they saw each other for the first time in a year and a half. On Harry’s side, I think he just wanted to see his father and be able to hold his only living parent for a brief moment. On Charles’s side, who even knows. I think it was mostly Charles acknowledging that he can’t continue to ignore this huge problem, which is the years-long Sussexit fallout and estrangement. Also: At Harry’s evening event for Invictus (more on that in another post), he was asked about his father by a reporter. Harry said: “Yes, he’s great, thank you.”

I said this on Twitter yesterday, but it’s worth repeating here: we’ve got at least two full weeks of Kensington Palace rage-briefing over this meeting. Plates are being smashed, pillows are being thrown, and there’s enough incandescent rage to power all of the lightbulbs in England.
