Hells Bells! Rock ‘n’ roll fans better get ready to be shook all night long, because one of the biggest acts on earth is returning to four Canadian cities in 2026.

AC/DC has announced more dates for its ongoing Power Up tour (named for the band’s album of the same name that came out in 2020) that includes stops at some of the biggest stadiums in North America.

In Canada, the Australian rock band will perform with The Pretty Reckless in Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal.

Their first stop will be in Edmonton at 56,400-seat Commonwealth Stadium on Aug. 9, 2026.

“We’re thrilled to host rock star legends AC/DC at Commonwealth Stadium, the largest venue of its kind in Canada,” said Heather Seutter, director of Commonwealth Stadium.

“Events like this draw in people from across the city, the province and beyond and demonstrates that Edmonton is a concert destination of choice for major artists.”

After shows south of the border, AC/DC will then head to Montreal for a show at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Sept. 12, 2026. The park on the Saint Lawrence River that can hold up to 65,000 people is set to also host Iron Maiden the week before AC/DC’s arrival.

Their last Canadian date is Sept. 16 at Rogers Stadium in downtown Toronto.

Tickets for all Canadian stops go on sale to the public on Friday at 10 a.m. local time on Ticketmaster.

AC/DC has been one of the leading rock and roll bands for over four decades, with more than 200 million albums sold worldwide.

One of the most influential rock bands in history, AC/DC played their first show on Dec. 31, 1973 at a nightclub in Sydney, Australia.

By 1980, the band was on a roll, known for its high-energy performances and predictably hard-charging songs. Their album Highway to Hell was certified gold in America and made it into the top 25 Billboard album charts.

The band was founded by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young; the latter died in 2017 at the age of 64 after suffering from dementia for several years. Angus remains the only continuous member of the band.

AC/DC was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.

‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ to Resume Airing on Sinclair’s ABC Stations, Ending Blackout in Dozens of Cities Boost

Sinclair Broadcast Group announced it will once again carry “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on its ABC-affiliated stations, lifting a blackout that kept the show off the air in dozens of U.S. cities.

The network had previously blacked out the show even after ABC reinstated it nationally, in response to controversial remarks made by Kimmel. Sinclair said its decision to resume airing comes after engaging with local community and advertiser feedback, and reaffirming its duty to balance national programming with local interests.

In an official statement, Sinclair emphasized: “Our objective throughout this process has been to ensure that programming remains accurate and engaging for the widest possible audience.” The company noted that it must juggle responsibilities to its communities while also honoring its network obligations.

The blackout had affected major markets, including Washington, D.C. and Seattle, spotlighting tensions around media, free speech, and affiliate control.

Garbage May Not Play in ‘Many of the Cities’ on Their Tour Again

by jummy84 August 21, 2025
written by jummy84

“Everything must change. All beautiful things come to an end,” the band wrote on Instagram

Garbage‘s forthcoming U.S. tour may be the last time the rock band performs in “many of the cities.” The group shared a post on Instagram confirming that they are “going out in style.”

“Yesterday saw the commencement of rehearsals for our last North American headline tour,” the band wrote. “We haven’t played an extensive headline tour like this one in the States for almost a decade. If the truth be told, it is unlikely we will play many of the cities on this tour ever again.”

They continued, “We are going out in style and we hope you will join us. That’s life my friends. Nothing stays the same forever. Everything must change.  All beautiful things come to an end. We love you.”

The tour kicks off on Sept. 3 in Orlando, with dates scheduled around the U.S. through November. The band will perform at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Nov. 5 before heading to Mexico City for Corona Capital on Nov. 14. The extensive run comes after the band were forced to cancel their 2024 dates last August when front woman Shirley Manson required “surgery and rehabilitation” after breaking her hip.

Trending Stories

“To be able to headline our own shows for the first time in nearly 10 years feels very special,” Manson told Rolling Stone earlier this year. “Because we are so much older, every time we get to go out and play together on a long tour, it feels like an enormous privilege, because you just never know when it’s going to come ’round again.”

Garbage’s latest LP, Let All That We Imagine Be the Light, arrived in May. Manson said the title was inspired by the film All That We Imagine as Light, which came out last year. “I have not even seen the movie, but that title lodged itself in my brain,” she told Rolling Stone. “When we were working on [‘Radical’], I’d already sung, ‘All you’ve got to do is save a life,’ and then I started singing ‘Let all that we imagine be the light’ in the second half of the chorus. It fitted in with the music perfectly. It just seemed like such a perfect encapsulation of where my mind was at the time.”
