What To Know

  • The cast and creators of It: Welcome to Derry break down key moments in the latest episode.
  • “Now You See It” features a major cameo, a flashback, and a trip to Pennywise’s lair.
  • Plus, the new Losers Club hatch a new plan to prove there’s something supernatural terrorizing the kids in town.

[Warning: The following post contains MAJOR spoilers for It: Welcome to Derry Episode 3, “Now You See It.”]

There’s a familiar face that ushers us all into the twisty world of It: Welcome to Derry‘s latest episode. Andy Muschietti, cocreator of the series, cameos as a carnival pianist in a flashback to a 1908 town fair.

Muschietti told TV Insider that he did so at the request of the episode’s director, Andrew Bernstein — “He twisted my arm into playing that role, and I begrudgingly did it,” he joked. (He also teased that fans will see him again in Episode 8.)

Also present for the scene is a kid version of Francis Shaw, who takes in the oddities before exchanging his slingshot for a bottle of water from a young Rose. The two become fast friends and play in the woods together before things take a dark turn; he goes too far and comes face to face with a one-eyed demon and has to use the slingshot to take out the creature’s other eye and escape.

They’re soon parted when Francis’ father is stationed elsewhere, and she gives him the slingshot back as a token of remembrance — even though she knows he’ll forget her once he leaves Derry. It takes 50 years, but remember, he does, and the very grown-up Francis (James Remar) and Rose (Kimberly Guerrero) have a very warm reunion at her store.

He’s there to ask for her help with his mission after finding a car from the Bradley Gang massacre with the help of Dick Hallorann (Chris Chalk), but he lies and says he wants her to help him avoid sacred lands in a military dig.

“That’s classified,” James Remar explained of Francis’ decision not to tell Rose the truth, even after their shared childhood experiences. “We’ve got to get it done, but it’s still a military secret. In my mind, it’s protective of her. I’m not going to say, ‘We’re looking for some entity, and we’re going to take over the world.’ It’s clandestine. It’s a military secret. And military secrets at that time, things that were highly classified, was just a matter of course. I mean, it was the Cold War, Strategic Air Command, Khrushchev, the Soviets. It wasn’t personal. I don’t feel like I was lying as such to my friend Rose.”

Thanks to that encounter, Rose convinces her fellow tribe members to take a wait-and-see approach about what Shaw and his team are doing, and they’re able to embark on a new mission — this time, with Leroy (Jovan Adepo) piloting a helicopter as Dick plays human compass with the slingshot providing him new insight into It. Dick goes into a trance and mentally visits Pennywise’s sewer lair, where his grandmother appears to tell him to leave, and It senses him as he almost jumps out of the back of the bird, with Leroy stopping him just in time.

HBO

Later, the two debrief after dinner with Charlotte (Taylour Paige), and Leroy says he knows Dick was there snooping around in his mind during the masked attack in his bunk. Dick says, based on what he saw, he wouldn’t ever want to cross Leroy again.

“I think when Dick looks into Leroy’s head, there’s a respect for what he has endured,” Chris Chalk told us about the scene. “But also there’s something nice about being seen, almost… Dick gets caught, and it’s like, ‘Oh, will you be my friend?’ It’s like, ‘I can tell you things now because, you know I can do things.’” Chalk added, “I think, for Dick, the first time, going, ‘Is this an ally? Is this person a person I might actually depend on?’ And then, as you watch the show, you find out if it happens or not, if they become allies or not.”

The other storyline of the episode is that of Lilly (Clara Stack), upon returning from Juniper Hill, committing to helping Ronnie (Amanda Christine) exonerate her father, Hank (Stephen Rider), whose alibi has now been contradicted. They decide that they need proof beyond Lilly’s account, so they work with Will (Blake Cameron James) and Rich (Arian S. Cartaya), after the latter says he knows of a ritual they can use in the graveyard.

Though his prayer for the dead was bogus, they were still greeted by the ghosts of Teddy, Phil, and Suzie as the cemetery began to erupt in an earthquake, as the kids tried to get away on their bikes while taking photos of the spirits on the way out. Once they developed the film, they saw that they’d captured the specters perfectly — along with a clown.

Bad Company’s Rock Hall Performance Features Chris Robinson, Bryan Adams, Joe Perry, Nancy Wilson

Bad Company were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame by Mick Fleetwood on Saturday night at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

After Fleetwood sang the praises of the band during his speech, founding Bad Company drummer Simon Kirke was joined onstage by the Black Crowes’ Chris Robinson, Heart’s Nancy Wilson, and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry for a performance of “Feel Like Makin’ Love” that started out with a little technical glitch.

Bryan Adams then took over the mic for “Can’t Get Enough,” and while Robinson and Adams both gave it their all, it’s hard to match the powerhouse vocals of legendary Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers.

Unfortunately, Rodgers had to bow out of the ceremony a week ago due to health reasons, stating, “My hope was to be at the Rock & Rock Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and to perform for the fans, but at this time I have to prioritize my health. I have no problem singing, it’s the stress of everything else.”

Following the performance, Kirke accepted the honor from Fleetwood, and immediately acknowledged Rodgers, calling him one of the greatest singers of all time. The drummer also paid tribute to late member Mick Ralphs, who died earlier this year, and Boz Burrell, who passed away in 2006.

A video message from Rodgers followed, who dedicated the honor to the band’s fans, ending with, “My prayer for us is that we all choose love.

The 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony aired live on Disney+ on Saturday, November 8th, and will be available to stream on-demand following the ceremony. Find our full coverage here.

Who Was Janina Garraway?

According to her apparent official Instagram account, Janina Garraway was a professional dancer and real estate agent.

According to A GoFundMe campaign linked via her Instagram account, Garraway gave birth to a baby boy in January 2024. However, in March of that year, she was diagnosed with stage four colorectal adenocarcinoma. She reportedly began chemotherapy “right away.” But was unable to continue working. In August 2024, she took to the campaign to share that she underwent liver surgery and had three out of seven tumors removed. Then, in October of that year, she reportedly completed 12 chemotherapy sessions, which left her “reduced by 50 percent,” and her liver tumors lessened. In November, she underwent a “lengthy surgery” and was given a colostomy bag. However, by February, doctors discovered two more tumors in her liver.

“I share to encourage you to not allow the woes of life to get you down. God knows what he is doing and I know this is only a set up for a miracle. I no longer say I am still ‘fighting’ because I have surrendered all and I trust the process. I will continue to stay strong for my baby boy,” she wrote at the time.

Then, in April, it was shared that Garraway’s cancer had returned.

“I just have to keep on going and implement some chemo and radiation to systematically fight as well… I am very hopeful that I am doing the right things to eliminate the disease and be around for a long time for my son,” her last message on the platform reads.

5 Things to Know About Chris Evans’ Wife – Hollywood Life

Alba Baptista stole Chris Evans’ heart. The Portuguese actress and the Knives Out star reportedly got married during the second weekend of September 2023, having had a secret wedding at a private Cape Cod estate. Two years later, the couple quietly welcomed their first child together in October 2025. Since they have yet to break their silence on the private matter, details of Chris and Alba’s newborn baby are still unclear.

From the beginning, Alba and Chris have been notoriously private about their romance. This marks the first marriage for the couple. Fans, of course, know plenty about Chris, but who is Alba? Scroll down for all the key information about the love of Chris’ life!

Alba Is a Netflix Star

Alba got her start in acting at age 16 in Simão Cayatte‘s short film Miami. The role earned her the Best Actress Award at the Festival Ibérico de Ciné. Alba starred in more Portuguese films like Caminhos Magnétykos, Equinócio, and Patrick, as well as the TV shows Jardins Proibidos, A Impostora, A Criação, and Jogo Duplo. Her big break came in Netflix’s hit series Warrior Nun, based on the comic book character Warrior Nun Areala.

Alba plays Ava Silva, a quadriplegic orphan who discovers she now has supernatural powers that force her to join an ancient order of warrior nuns. Warrior Nun served as her first English-language debut. Warrior Nun premiered its first season in July 2020, and season 2 was filmed during the summer and fall of 2021 in Spain, which is where Alba may have met Chris.

Alba Started Dating Chris in 2022

While the dating rumors started in early 2022, Chris and Alba didn’t confirm their romance until Jan. 2023. He posted an adorable video compilation on his Instagram Story of the couple trying to jump-scare each other. “A look back at 2022,” Chris wrote at the top of the video alongside three red heart emojis. While this was Chris’ first-ever confirmation of the relationship, it was reported less than two months earlier that they had been seeing each other for more than a year.

Days after Chris was named People’s 2022 “Sexiest Man Alive,” a source for the outlet claimed their relationship was “serious.” The source added, “They are in love and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her.”

Eagle-eyed fans had previously speculated they might be an item in Jan. 2022, as both their social media posts around the time appeared to be in Alba’s native Lisbon. Plus, Chris and Alba’s social media activity made it appear that they were at least talking during the summer of 2021, as that is when Alba followed Chris back on Instagram.

Chris is not the first actor that Alba has been romantically linked to. She was previously rumored to be dating Emily in Paris star Lucas Bravo. Apparently, the pair were spotted on vacation together in May 2021, which sparked dating rumors. However, fans pointed out that they very well may just be friends, especially since they were co-stars in the 2022 comedy/drama Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris.

Alba Is From Portugal

Alba was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1997. Her mother is Portuguese, while her father is Brazilian and from Rio de Janeiro. The couple reportedly met while Alba’s mother was working as a translator in Brazil.

Alba is from Portugal, so she can obviously speak Portuguese, but that’s not all. The talented star also speaks Spanish, French, English, and German, according to a July 2020 interview with Universo Online. That means Alba can speak 5 (!) different languages. That’s certainly helpful as she travels around the world for her acting career.

Alba Has Dabbled in Modeling

Alba has modeled for one of the biggest names in fashion: Vogue. She made her Vogue Portugal debut in 2019 via a video meant to look like it was shot on film. She has also appeared on the cover of GQ and ACTIVA.

Alba & Chris Have a 16-Year Age Gap

Alba and Chris have an age gap of about 16 years. She was born on July 10, 1997, and he was born on June 13, 1981.

Chris Evans and Alba Baptista welcome their first child

by jummy84 October 28, 2025

28 October 2025

Chris Evans has become a dad for the first time.

Chris Evans and Alba Baptista have welcomed their first child

The 44-year-old actor and his wife, Alba Baptista, have welcomed their first child together, TMZ reports.

Alba – who married the Hollywood star in 2023 – gave birth to their baby on Friday (24.10.25) in Massachusetts.

Chris and Alba have always made a concerted effort to keep their relationship out of the spotlight and neither of them have made any public comments since the birth of their first child.

However, the Captain America star previously revealed that he had a long-term ambition to start a family.

Chris – who was first linked to Alba in 2022 – told People: “That’s absolutely something I want: wife, kids, building a family.

“When you read about most of the best artists, whether it’s actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn’t the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships; the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared.”

Despite this, Chris admitted that he was always likely to keep personal news to himself.

He explained: “Some things you want just for you, or just for my family and my friends.”

The movie star also explained that he was ready to take a step back from Hollywood and focus on other things in his life.

He said: “The most enjoyable aspect of my career right now is feeling secure enough to take my foot off the gas. I feel like I have a bit more freedom to take time away from the industry and still find projects that will satisfy my creative appetite when I return.”

Meanwhile, Chris was named People’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2022, and he previously admitted that it was a strange accolade to receive.

The movie star told the magazine: “My mom will be so happy. She’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about.”

Chris actually struggled to discuss his own good looks with the magazine.

He said: “This whole thing is tough to be interviewed about. It feels like a weird form of humble bragging.”

Shelby Oaks Director Chris Stuckmann on Its Ending, YouTube Origins

Shelby Oaks Director Chris Stuckmann on Its Ending, YouTube Origins

by jummy84 October 25, 2025
written by jummy84

SPOILER ALERT: This article contains spoilers for the ending of “Shelby Oaks,” now playing in theaters.

So, who took Riley Brennan?

Director Chris Stuckmann makes his directorial debut with Neon’s horror “Shelby Oaks,” which follows the disappearance of a YouTuber and amateur ghost hunter Riley Brennan (Sarah Durn). Having started his career as a film critic and essayist on YouTube, Stuckmann makes the transition to director with a horror movie that expertly blends media and feels at times like a mockumentary ripped right from the video platform.

Camille Sullivan stars as Mia Brennan, who has been searching for her younger sister Riley after she vanished 12 years ago in the remote town of Shelby Oaks with her YouTube group, the Paranormal Paranoids. The film starts out like a fictional documentary on Riley’s disappearance, but then transforms into a supernatural horror that uses found footage and scripted scares unlike any recent studio movie. It’s like “Blair Witch Project” for the YouTube generation, and Stuckmann uses his years of experience on the platform to maximum effect.

With Variety, the director discusses his YouTube origins, shooting on old-school camcorders and that shocking ending.

Courtesy Everett Collection

Why was “Shelby Oaks” the story you wanted to tell with your directorial debut?

I didn’t want to give any producers that I met a chance to turn me down, so I wrote probably like six or seven spec scripts and I went to film festivals and met so many different filmmakers and spent a lot of time trying to meet people and network and get to a place where I could make a connection with someone. It finally helped me get a movie off the ground, because I had been trying for so long. I didn’t want to go into these situations with one script and pitch. So I went into a lot of these film festivals hoping to meet producers with a lot of scripts and pitches. When I bumped into Aaron Koontz at Fantastic Fest in 2019, I had two or three different things I could have pitched him at the time, and “Shelby Oaks” was the one that caught his attention. From there, it became a process of developing it.

I’m from the Midwest, but I’d never heard of Darke County in Ohio before. How did you choose that as your setting?

I was trying to think of a general area in Ohio to set it in. Obviously Shelby Oaks is fictional, but as soon as I discovered the name “Darke” and it has an E, which makes it feel more artsy and it’s farm country, it’s literally exactly what I want. I’ve taken a bit of a “Castle Rock” approach because a lot of my spec scripts take place in Darke County, this little mini cinematic universe that may or may not happen one day.

How did you blend the mix of mockumentary footage, YouTube found footage and scripted horror?

Being on YouTube since 2009, there is a phenomena that I have witnessed over the years: People like to watch people watch things. Reacting videos are a very, very popular trend. There is something very inviting about the idea of seeing a person take in information. There’s this sequence with Mia where she watches the tape, and you’re kind of there with her feeling her emotions. She’s your conduit for these emotions. I really love the idea of mixing media, because I feel like that’s how we all live now. We all pop on TikTok, YouTube, TV, movies, audio books, physical books, there’s no set thing for all of us. We all experience media in different ways.

Was there ever a version of this that was a full mockumentary version?

It started out completely mockumentary. The very first pitch that we ever had was that, out of necessity. My first idea for this movie was that I would self-finance it for like $20,000 and put it on YouTube, because I was tired of waiting. Eventually the ideas kept evolving and kept coming. As I was writing, I couldn’t stop it. It was this whole thing, and now I had to figure out where this goes. The way it came to me was that every time you watch a mockumentary that’s fictional, you know it’s fictional. You’re in on the joke. I understand that most of them are made out of a budgetary necessity, but since we’re all in on the joke, why can’t we have some fun with this? We have cameras that the actors are aware of, why can’t we also have cameras they’re not aware of and just play in that world?

Some of the found-footage jump scares feel like throwbacks to the early days of scary YouTube videos, like the “Relaxing Car Drive” video that I’m sure many people have stumbled upon. How did you make these retro, proto-internet scares?

I do think it does have something to do with YouTube, the internet and the creepypasta generation. We all look for ways to describe how art makes us feel through past pieces of art. We always try to find a way to connect. But we’re in this generational shift now where filmmakers are starting to come out of the early YouTube years. Not all the inspiration is coming from film or TV anymore. A lot of it is coming from the internet. Like you mentioned that relaxing car video, I remember watching that back in the day and the thing pops up at the end and I’m falling back in my seat. We weren’t used to being scared by the internet yet. The internet was still kind of a remotely safe place. There wasn’t social media yet. When things on the internet started to scare us, it’s a whole new world of potential horror that can be mined. The mixed media element was very important to me to present different types of scares. The found-footage scare is very different from the traditional narrative scare, not just in visual presentation, but in sound. In the traditional narrative portion of the film, we really opened up the sound channels and explored so many more possibilities of what we could do with sound. In the the earlier portions of the movie, we tried to restrict ourselves a little bit more to the types of sounds that would come from an old-school camcorder. In those Paranormal Paranoids episodes, I shot all those myself with gear from pre-2008. The camcorder was from 2006. The microphone we used was from 2007. We didn’t allow ourselves to have things they wouldn’t have had.

Did you always imagine the ending as a bleak punch to the gut? How much of it did you want to leave open to interpretation for fans?

Yes, there was never any question for me. All of my favorite horror films tend to have an ending that sticks with you. Obviously, when you’re trying to get your script seen, there are going to be people who make requests, especially some of the less risk-taking producers. I was always very adamant that this has got to be the way it is. When I think about all my favorite horrors, they’re very rarely warm and fuzzy at the end.

If you want to look at just the emotion of it, when something happens to you when you’re younger that leaves a scar or some kind of trauma that it sticks with you, you could view that literally as a crack in a window. If you don’t fix it or get and try to better your life, you just let it sit there and fester and grow and spider-web into something worse, eventually it will probably eat you alive. That’s been the emotional idea behind this thing that has always been looming in the background of Riley and Mia’s life that is also literally represented by this window in the conclusion of the movie. It’s all in there, and there’s a lot of hidden stuff too in various shots.

There are so many filmmakers, like Danny and Michael Philippou and Curry Barker, who are getting Hollywood deals after starting out on YouTube. How does it feel to see them grow after starting out online?

I think it’s absolutely wonderful. I’ve talked with Danny and Mike, and I had Danny and Curry on my podcast. When I started my YouTube channel in 2009, it took about six years before I even was able to get press tickets to movies at advanced screenings. That’s because at that time, YouTube as a platform was not taken seriously by Hollywood. If you said you were a YouTube film critic, they’d be like, ‘Cool. Have a nice day.’ Now, when you go to a premiere, what do you see everywhere? YouTubers and TikTokers. Hollywood has had to take the platforms seriously. I think it’s the same with film. There is a new generation of people in their 30s or late 20s who are coming up and started on Vine, TikTok and YouTube. Now they’re getting a chance to make movies, because that is the progression of time that we’re in. If YouTube existed in the ’70s or ’80s, I guarantee Scorsese, Spielberg, Robert Rodriguez, all those guys, would have been uploading.

Are JoJo Siwa & Chris Hughes Still Together? Dating Update – Hollywood Life

JoJo Siwa surprised fans by stepping into the spotlight with her co-star Chris Hughes after their time together on Celebrity Big Brother UK this spring. The duo officially became a couple in June 2025, following weeks of chemistry and speculation. In October, they made their red-carpet debut at the Dancers Against Cancer Gala of the Stars, confidently confirming their status—so yes, the rumors were true.

From platonic housemates to public power couple, Hollywood Life has compiled everything we know about the nature of JoJo and Chris’ relationship here.

How Did JoJo Siwa & Chris Hughes Meet?

The former Dance Moms child star and Chris met on season 24 of Celebrity Big Brother UK, and it was very clear to viewers that they had chemistry. At the time, JoJo was still in a relationship with now-former partner Kath Ebbs, who said in an April 2025 Instagram video that JoJo had dumped them at an after-party following the Celebrity Big Brother season 24 finale.

“I flew here [to London], and I went to the live show to show up for my partner and support them in their experience and, obviously, I wanted to address my feelings of hurt and work through them like all relationships do,” Kath said in the clip. “But before I could even get back to the hotel, I went to the after-party with my, I guess now ex, and was dumped at the party. I was told there were ‘confused feelings’ there, do with that what you will, and that they had realized in the house that I wasn’t the person they wanted to spend their foreseeable future with.”

JoJo addressed their breakup during a subsequent interview on This Morning. She noted, “Initially, I was told that the wrap party was something they [Kath] didn’t want to attend, and then about an hour into the wrap party, they decided they wanted to. And I was genuinely just going to have a conversation before and … they straight up asked me if I was happy and I said, ‘No.’”

Yes! The pair have officially confirmed their romance.

Initially, after filming Celebrity Big Brother UK in April 2025, JoJo described their relationship as “platonic” during a joint appearance on This Morning. Bryson Tiller Gifts Chris Brown a Lamborghini to Celebrate Stadium Tour Success

Bryson Tiller just gifted Chris Brown a brand-new Lamborghini — and he made sure to remind fans that it wasn’t just from him.

Tiller shared a video of the sleek black Lambo with the caption:

“Thank you Chris Brown. Know you didn’t need another Lambo but I’ll forever be thankful for you bringing me on your first ever Stadium Tour! Breezy Bowl Complete ”

He went on to thank Team Breezy for making the moment possible, adding:

“I just wanna reiterate to TEAM BREEZY that this gift wouldn’t be possible without y’all! So it’s not just from me, it’s from us .”

The gift marks the end of Chris Brown’s sold-out Breezy Bowl Stadium Tour, which featured Tiller as one of the special guests. The two artists have collaborated and supported each other for years, and this gesture was Tiller’s way of showing gratitude for being part of one of Brown’s biggest career moments
