Actress Chitrangda Singh recently gave fans a reassuring health update from her hospital bed. Taking to Instagram, the actress posted a photo of herself resting with a medical drip, accompanied by the caption, “Hoping to be back running like a hare soon!” Though she didn’t disclose the reason for her hospitalisation, she appeared in good spirits and promised a speedy return to full health.
On the work front, Chitrangda was last seen in Housefull 5, the latest installment in the hit comedy franchise. The film boasts a massive ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and several other familiar faces. The story revolves around imposters competing for a billionaire’s inheritance aboard a luxury cruise, continuing the slapstick style that made the series a box office favourite since its 2010 debut.
Looking ahead, Chitrangda will appear alongside Salman Khan in Battle of Galwan, a military drama based on real events. Speaking about the film, she shared, “It’s a story of bravery and courage… very personal to me, especially with my army background.” She described the project as “meaningful, rooted, and real.”
Chitrangda made her acting debut in 2005 with the critically acclaimed Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, earning praise for her performance. Over the years, she has starred in notable films like Yeh Saali Zindagi, Desi Boyz, Baazaar, Bob Biswas, and Gaslight. She also turned producer with the sports biopic Soorma in 2018.
In addition to her film career, she has appeared in streaming series such as Modern Love Mumbai and Khakee: The Bengal Chapter. Chitrangda was previously married to golfer Jyoti Randhawa, with whom she shares a son.
