Shiloh Hendrix Reacts To Charges For Racial Slur At Autistic Child

A Minnesota mom is now in legal trouble. This, after a viral video showed her making a racial slur at a Black child with autism at a playground. Shiloh Hendrix reportedly faces three misdemeanor charges in the midst of reportedly raising over $800,000 through a fundraiser. Through the campaign, she urged people to donate to help “protect” her family. Here’s what has happened since the video became a nationwide trending topic and how she’s reacted to her recent charges…

Minnesota Woman Hit With Charges, She Reacts

On Tuesday, August 26, Rochester prosecutors charged Shiloh with three counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct. The complaint alleges she “wrongfully and unlawfully engaged in offensive, obscene, abusive, boisterous, or noisy conduct” that could “arouse alarm, anger or resentment in others” during an April incident at a city playground.

Each charge reportedly carries up to 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. This, with her Zoom arraignment set to occur on October 29, per NBC News. Meanwhile, the Rochester City Attorney’s Office cited a lengthy investigation, involving extensive evidence and talks with the victim’s family, for the months-long delay in filing charges.

Additionally, the Mayor of Rochester, Kim Norton, gave a statement shortly after the charges were filed, acknowledging the widespread outrage the video sparked over Shiloh’s misconduct.

”This was a situation that deeply affected many people, especially our communities of color, and caused real turmoil in our community,” her statement read, per WCVB. ”We acknowledge the lasting impact this incident has had, not only on those directly involved and across our community, but also in the broader conversations happening at the state and national level.”

Per KTTC News, Shiloh has since reacted to the charges with an online statement. She reportedly wrote that she will not be “backing down” from the “charges.” Additionally, she reportedly revealed that the donation money she’s received has helped her buy a new home in an area with “excellent demographics.”

Viral Video Sparks Online Firestorm

For those who missed it, the incident went down on April 28 at Soldiers Field Memorial Park in Rochester. Sharmake Omar‘s TikTok video shows Shiloh being confronted for allegedly calling a young autistic boy the N-word. As reported by The Shade Room, in the clip, Sharmake asks if she used the slur, and Shiloh seems unfazed, responding, “Yeah,” before repeating it and flipping off the camera.

She claimed the boy stole an applesauce pouch from her son’s diaper bag, stating, “If he acts like one, I’ll call him one.” Sharmake told NBC News the child appeared upset afterward. Meanwhile, the Rochester Police commenced their extensive investigation and passed all their findings to prosecutors, leading to Shiloh’s charges.

The $800K Fundraiser That Fueled Outrage

Here’s where things took an interesting turn, though. After the video went viral, Shiloh launched a GiveSendGo fundraiser titled “Help Me Protect My Family,” claiming doxxers exposed her address and Social Security number, resulting in threats against her loved ones.

She launched the fundraiser with a $20,000 goal and then reportedly raised it to $1 million, pulling in over $800,000, including donations after her charges. As of writing, the fundraiser is still open, with people continuing to donate. In a June update, Shuloh said she and her family were doing “GREAT” as she teased upcoming “life-changing events” for her family.

“Hello, everyone!” She wrote. “It’s been quite some time since I’ve given you all an update about my family and myself! We are doing GREAT. Big things are happening regarding our future. Life-changing events.”

Meanwhile, the Rochester NAACP started a GoFundMe for the boy’s family, pulling in $341,504 before closing at their request. The NAACP slammed Shiloh, saying her actions were “an intentional, racist, threatening, hateful, and verbal attack against a child.” See the full statement HERE!

Kendra Robinson Recalls Learning About Yung Joc Fathering A Child

In an exclusive interview with Carlos King, Kendra Robinson kept it real about the moment she found out that Yung Joc had a baby on the way. She explained that it all went down while they had put things on pause for about “two to three” months. “I was devastated. I was like, ‘you are reckless.’ I just couldn’t get over how reckless he had to be to just do that,” Kendra said.

From there, Kendra called out Yung Joc, saying he should’ve had more respect and self-control.

“You have some self-control, so as to not go out and create another broken household with a family of color or bring back a loathsome disease,” she continued.

She also mentioned that in order for them to fix things, he had to step up and take responsibility for his actions. “You will take accountability or this ain’t gonna work. I don’t have nothing to do with that,” Kendra added.

More About Joc & Kendra’s Marriage

Fans got to see parts of Yung Joc and Kendra Robinson’s relationship play out on ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.’ Then in 2021, the couple said their “I Do’s” alongside some Love & Hip Hop castmates, including Erica Mena and Safaree. Joc popped the big question back in 2019, but according to Page Six, they had to delay their nuptials due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Kendra and Joc don’t have any children together, but according to reports he is allegedly a father to eight children.

Leanna even spilled that she had a dream on February 28 that their first child would be a boy.

The footage also showed Leanna’s growing baby bump and clips of them patiently waiting for their son’s arrival in the hospital. When he finally arrived, the baby’s cries could be heard as Travis hilariously reacted, “That baby look just like me!”

On November 29, 2022, the actor spoke to People about working on the movie which also starred Macaulay Culkin. “I remember Macaulay as being a really sweet kid and, even at his age, very professional,” he told the outlet. “I intentionally limited my interactions with him to preserve the dynamic between his character, Kevin, and my character Harry.”

Joe’s daughter, Tiffany, was reportedly born in 1992, per Buzz Nigeria. According to the outlet,the legendary actor and his ex split the same year that their daughter was born. Sophie Turner is worried about the impact social media has on young actors

The 29-year-old actress was just 13 when she was cast in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones and admits that she is concerned about performers who are thrust into the spotlight at an early age because of the cruel nature of the online sites.

Sophie told Flaunt magazine: “I look at the kids who are about to be in the new Harry Potter and I just want to give them a hug and say, ‘Look, it’s going to be okay but don’t go anywhere near (social media).’

“Stay friends with your home friends, keep living at home with your family, make sure your parents are your chaperones – it’s so important to have that grounding adjacent to the big, crazy stuff that you do.”

Sophie recalled how her confidence dropped as social media became increasingly prominent after Game of Thrones started airing in 2011.

She said: “I think social media was just really becoming a big thing after I started on Game of Thrones, so I got a couple of years of peace and quiet and then I had to adjust. It had such a profound impact on my mental health, like more than I could tell you.

“It almost destroyed me on numerous occasions.”

Sophie even stated that she will refuse to allow her own children – daughters Willa, five, and Delphine, three, from her marriage to former husband Joe Jonas – to act until they have grown up.

The Trust star said: “Oh God, they’re not acting! Not until they’re at least 25!”

Turner appears alongside Game of Thrones co-star Kit Harington in her upcoming movie The Dreadful and is determined to work on projects that generate discussion.

She explained: “I do like to make things that people can walk away from and they feel able to change something about themselves or feel inspired to do something.

“I want to do more unusual stories – I want to do more A24-type projects where they’re super unique and very niche.”

Sophie and Kit play lovers in The Dreadful and the former admits that it was a strange dynamic alongside a person she describes as “like a brother in real life”.

She said: “We suddenly went, ‘Oh s***! Why have we committed to playing a couple?’ It was really weird.”

However, the pair got on with it and had a “great time” together.

Sophie said: “As ever, he’s the biggest, most uplifting big brother I could ask for, bar my own two real-life brothers.”

Who Is Erik’s Wife?

Erik Menendez has been married to his wife, Tammi Saccoman, since 1999.

Tammi was first married to Chuck Saccoman, and they lived with her teenage daughter from a previous relationship when she began watching the Menendez brothers’ trial on TV in 1993. With her husband’s consent, she started writing letters to Erik, and the two slowly developed a friendship.

In 1996, Tammi discovered that Chuck was allegedly raping her teenage daughter, beginning when she was 15 years old. Chuck turned himself in to the police and died by suicide two days later. At the time of his death, Tammi and her then-husband shared a 9-month-old daughter, Talia.

After Chuck’s death, Tammi and Erik’s correspondence became more serious. They met for the first time in August 1997. Tammi then moved to Sacramento to be closer to Erik and visited him four times a week. The couple got engaged the following year and married in 1999.

Who Is Talia?

Tammi’s daughter, Talia, is now in her 20s and prefers to keep her personal life private. However, she is active on social media, particularly through her Instagram account, @seterikmenendezfree, where she raises awareness about Erik’s case and advocates for his release from prison.

On her Instagram account, Talia occasionally shares glimpses of her life with Erik, alongside her focus on the case.

Like her mother, Talia and Erik bonded through letter writing, with Erik offering comfort after the death of her biological father. Today, she refers to Erik as “Dad.”

In 2020, Talia posted a photo of herself with Erik, captioning it: “My dad was more of a dad than most out in the real world.”

Millie Bobby Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi are now parents.

The Stranger Things star, 21, and Bongiovi, 23, the son of Jon Bon Jovi, announced that they had adopted a daughter on Thursday.

“This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the pair said in a joint Instagram statement.

“We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter.”

The Enola Holmes actor and Bongiovi first crossed paths on social media and were friends for a while before becoming a couple, she told Wired in 2022.

They became engaged in April 2023 and were married in May 2024.

In a March appearance on the Smartless podcast, Brown said she was looking forward to becoming a mother one day.

“My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And it’s been my thing since before I met Jake … since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me,” she said.

“And my nan, my grandmother, was a huge part of my life… Jake knows how important it is to me and, of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me personally.

“It’s a huge thing. Jake was like, ‘We cannot do that until we get married.’ So that was his thing.”

She hinted that adoption was in the cards and having a large family was important to her and her husband.

“I really want a big family. I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So, it is definitely in our future, but, for me, I don’t see having your own child as really any different as in adopting,” she said.
