Wild Cherry soundtrack | What songs feature in the BBC drama?

If you’re making your way through BBC One’s latest drama, Wild Cherry, chances are that you’ve been toe-tapping your way through each episode.

As well as taking us on quite the twisted journey through wealthy ‘island’ Richford Lake, the series centres on a scandal that rips through the local girls’ school and plummets teenage best friends Grace (Imogen Faires) and Allegra (Amelia May) into the spotlight.

But along with all the drama and backstabbing also comes a catchy soundtrack that is packed full of songs, ranging from artists like Jordan Rakei, Dave and Lykke Li. The title song itself is an original one that was crafted by the show’s creator and writer Nicôle Lecky, who also showed off her musical talents in previous series Mood.

She told RadioTimes.com in an exclusive chat for Pass the Mic: “It was always my intention, actually, I should say, to do the title music. I thought that was quite fun. Rotem and I got into a studio and we created the song – and that became the title track.”

But what other songs feature in Wild Cherry? Read on to find out.

Do Cherry and Daniel End Up Together? All the Twists, Explained

by jummy84 September 11, 2025

[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for The Girlfriend.]

When Olivia Cooke said The Girlfriend was “for the freaks,” she wasn’t lying. The psychological erotic thriller features a sort of love triangle, but not in the traditional sense. Laura (Robin Wright) has an overprotective, borderline creepy relationship with her son, Daniel (Laurie Davidson), which gets put on the backburner when he falls in love with Cherry (Olivia Cooke).

Disturbing premise aside, Prime Video’s latest limited series isn’t without romance, though its authenticity is up for interpretation. As the show flits back and forth between the women’s perspectives, Laura becomes increasingly paranoid about Cherry’s motivations, determined to drive them apart. However, as the events unfold, viewers find out that her suspicions aren’t entirely incorrect. Cherry is far from an innocent bystander.

Phlur’s Cherry Stem Scent Is My #1 Fall Fragrance—Here’s Why

by jummy84 September 6, 2025
written by jummy84

Phlur is one of my all-time favorite fragrance brands. I love its minimalist aesthetic. I love its emphasis on storytelling through scent. Most of all, I love the products themselves—the diverse collection of perfumes and body mists. While I could discuss Phlur’s fragrance portfolio for hours (actually, I already have), the brand’s newest perfume has officially snatched my attention away from all others. Meet Phlur’s Cherry Stem Eau de Parfum, a sultry scent that just became my number one fall fragrance.

I’ll be the first to admit that cherry scents can be contentious. Honestly, I’ve steered clear of them in the past, as they tend to be too sweet, syrupy, or artificial for my taste. If it gives Red 40 rather than fresh, ripe fruit, I’m automatically out.

However, when done well, cherry scents are surprisingly sophisticated. That’s the case with Cherry Stem. Inspired by flirtatious meet-cutes in dimly lit bars, this upscale cherry fragrance is so sultry and alluring that I can’t stop wearing it. I’ll even go so far as to say it’s my all-time favorite cherry fragrance. Yes, it’s really that good. Ahead, learn more about this perfect-for-fall fragrance and get exclusive insight from Phlur’s creative director, Chriselle Lim.

Fragrance family: Fruity woods

Fragrance notes: Black cherry, orange brandy, red freesia, sugared jasmine, plum nectar, ebony woods, caramel, soft leather accord

“Cherry Stem was inspired by flirtation,” Lim says. “The crossing of legs, the lingering eye contact across the bar… It’s mysterious, seductive, but still full of energy. A lot of cherry scents can lean juvenile or syrupy, but Cherry Stem perfectly captures what I wanted a cherry fragrance to be: fruity but more complex, sexy, and mature.”

Unlike other cherry perfumes, this one doesn’t scream cherry and leave it at that. Black cherry, while still the shining star, is enveloped in other highly sophisticated notes. There are florals (freesia and jasmine), gourmands (brandy and caramel), and grounding notes (wood and leather). The effect is elevated, layered, and complex—a perfume that will leave people wanting more.
