Sean “Diddy” Combs Sentenced to More Than Four Years for Prostitution Charges

by jummy84 October 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sentenced to 50 months in prison and pay a fine of $500,000, the maximum possible, after being found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. (That sentence adds up to just over four years, but the 14 months he has already served in prison will be deducted.) Today in Manhattan’s Federal District Court, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian outlined his reasoning behind the substantial length, citing the need “to send a message to abusers and victims alike that exploitation and violence against women is met with real accountability.”

“The Court has to consider all of your history here. A history of good works can’t wash away the record in this case, which shows that you abused the power and control over the lives of women who you professed to love,” said Judge Subramanian. “The court is not assured that if released these crimes will not be committed again.”

“To Ms. Ventura and the other brave survivors that came forward, I want to say first: We heard you. I am proud of you for coming to the court to tell the world what really happened,” added Judge Subramanian after issuing the sentence. “Mr. Combs, you and your family are going to get through it… You will have a chance to show your children and the world what real accountability, change, and healing [can look like].”

Before the sentencing was determined, Diddy rose at the defense table to give a 12-minute statement, reports The New York Times. “One of the hardest things I’ve had to handle is having to be quiet, not being able to express how sorry I am for my actions,” said Diddy. He apologized to Cassie Ventura and her family “for any harm or hurt that I’ve caused her, emotionally or physically.” He also apologized to former girlfriend Jane, saying, “I brought you into my mess.” Diddy then apologized to all victims of domestic violence, his family, and his children, and referred to his conduct “disgusting, shameful, and sick.” “No matter what anybody says, I know that I’m truly sorry for it all,” he concluded.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sentenced to 50 months in prison on prostitution charges – National

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sentenced to just over 4 years in prison, three months after he was found guilty of two counts of prostitution.

Combs was given 50 months in prison and a fine of US$500,000, the maximum possible, for his conviction on federal prostitution-related offences. He will also be under five years’ supervised release after his time in prison is served.

In his ruling, Judge Arun Subramanian said “a history of good works can’t wash away the record in this case, which shows that you abused the power and control over the lives of women who you professed to love.”

“You were no john,” he added. “You were more than that, even if your currency was satisfying your sexual desires instead of money.”

Subramanian said a substantial sentence is required “to send a message to abusers and victims alike that exploitation and violence against women is met with real accountability.”

Federal prosecutors had asked that Combs, 55, be sentenced to at least 11 years and three months in prison. Comb’s lawyers urged the judge to sentence him to no longer than 14 months, which would have resulted in his near-immediate release, as he has already served nearly 13 months in a Brooklyn jail.

During the sentencing hearing, Combs’ six children crowded around the podium, imploring the judge to give their father a second chance.

Quincy Brown, the 34-year-old son of Kim Porter, who was adopted by Combs, shared that his father “has learned a lesson.” The family had seen him evolve, Brown said, and “he is completely transformed.”

“My father is my superhero. Seeing him broken down and stripped of everything is something I will never forget,” said another son, Justin Combs, 31.

Chance Combs, his eldest daughter, told the judge that while her father was been incarcerated, she saw changes in him that “feel real and lasting.”

“When we talk he speaks with a clear mind and sense of purpose that I didn’t always hear before,” she added.

“I know how hard it was to stand up here and tell me those things, but it’s important for me to hear,” Subramanian said to them.

After an emotional series of statements from the children, Combs’ legal team presented an 11-minute tribute video that featured clips showcasing the rapper’s philanthropic efforts, motivational speeches, home videos and scenes of him mourning his late partner Porter, who died in 2018.

While addressing the judge, Combs thanked Subramanian for “giving me the chance to finally speak up for myself,” as the former rapper did not testify during his trial.

“One of the hardest things that I’ve had to handle is having to be quiet. Not being able to express how sorry I am for my actions,” Combs said in his statement to the court.

“I want to personally apologize again to Cassie Ventura for any harm or hurt that I’ve caused her – emotionally or physically,” he added.

Combs called his conduct “disgusting, shameful and sick.”

“Because of my decisions, I lost my freedom, I lost the opportunity to effectively raise my children and be there for my mother,” Combs said. “I lost all my businesses, I lost my career, I totally destroyed my reputation.”

Combs said that he’s “lost my self-respect” and he has been “humbled and broken to my core.”

“I hate myself right now. I got stripped down to nothing,” Combs said. “I want to apologize to my seven children. Y’all deserve better.”

The sentencing marks the conclusion of the disgraced hip-hop mogul’s New York trial, which began on May 5.

In a letter to Subramanian ahead of his sentencing, Combs proclaimed himself to be a new man after realizing that he was “broken to my core.”

“Over the past year there have been so many times that I wanted to give up. There have been some days I thought I would be better off dead. The old me died in jail and a new version of me was reborn. Prison will change you or kill you — I choose to live,” he said.

Combs admitted that he had “no one to blame for my current reality and situation but myself.”

“In my life, I have made many mistakes, but I am no longer running from them,” he wrote. “I am so sorry for the hurt that I caused, but I understand that the mere words ‘I’m sorry’ will never be good enough as these words alone cannot erase the pain from the past.”

He went on to apologize for hitting, kicking and dragging his then-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016 — an attack captured on security camera.

“The scene and images of me assaulting Cassie play over and over in my head daily,” Combs wrote. “I literally lost my mind. I was dead wrong for putting my hands on the woman that I loved. I’m sorry for that and always will be.”

Rather than make an example out of him with a lengthy sentence, Combs asked Subramanian to “make me an example of what a person can do if afforded a second chance.”

The charges: What led to Combs’ sentencing?

Combs has been behind bars since his September 2024 arrest. He faced federal charges of coercing girlfriends into having drug-fuelled sex marathons with male sex workers while he watched and filmed them.

Combs had pleaded not guilty. His lawyers argued that prosecutors were trying to criminalize Combs’ swinger lifestyle and that, if anything, his conduct amounted to domestic violence, not federal felonies.

In July, Combs was found guilty of two counts of prostitution, including the transportation of Ventura to engage in prostitution. He was also found guilty of the transportation of former girlfriend “Jane” for the same purposes.

The Bad Boy Records founder was acquitted in July of the top charges — racketeering and sex trafficking. The defence won three acquittals after he was found not guilty of running a criminal enterprise and two counts of sex trafficking.

In all, 34 witnesses testified, headlined by Combs’ former girlfriends Ventura and “Jane,” who testified under a pseudonym. Both women said he was often violent toward them. Ventura said he forced her into hundreds of sexual encounters with paid male sex workers, while Jane recounted numerous “hotel nights.”

After the verdict was read, Combs’ lawyer Marc Agnifilo asked the court to release Combs from federal detention now that he is no longer charged with sex trafficking.

Combs’ legal team attempts to secure his freedom

Combs was denied bail after a jury convicted him of federal prostitution-related offences in July.

Judge Subramanian noted Combs’ violent history: “At trial, the defence conceded the defendant’s violence in his personal relationships, saying it happened with Cassie and Jane.”

Agnifilo asked that Combs be released on conditional bail to his home in Miami, and offered a US$1-million bond. Prosecutor Maurene Comey countered, saying to Subramanian that Combs should remain in jail until sentencing.

Later that same month, lawyers for Combs asked a judge to release him on a $50-million bond as he awaited sentencing.

Agnifilo said conditions at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn were “dangerous,” and said defendants convicted in the past of prostitution-related charges that were similar to Combs’ were typically released before their sentencing.

He argued that the court should release Combs “on reasonable conditions” in advance of sentencing. The lawyer claimed that Combs “is not a risk of flight nor is he a danger to the community or to any specific people.”

Agnifilo said that if Combs was released on conditions, he “will not be violent to anyone.”

Combs’ lawyer also added a proposed bail package for the rapper with conditions including “a $50-million bond secured by Mr. Combs’ home in Miami,” which would also be co-signed by three “financially responsible people.”

The judge denied bail for Combs a second time.

His lawyers revealed they even reached out to U.S. President Donald Trump seeking a pardon following his conviction.

A source close to Combs’ legal team confirmed to NBC News that they had been in contact with the Trump administration.

This came after Nicole Westmoreland, a member of Combs’ defence team, told CNN in an exclusive interview that the music mogul’s team had reached out to Trump for a potential pardon.

In early August, Trump told Newsmax that Combs’ lawyers have “talked to me about Sean” but said he was unlikely to pardon the music mogul.

“I was very friendly with him, I got along with him great and he seemed like a nice guy. I didn’t know him well. But when I ran for office, he was very hostile,” Trump said.

When Trump was asked if granting Combs clemency was more likely a “no,” he said, “I would say so.”

Last month, lawyers for Combs urged a judge to sentence him to no more than 14 months in prison for his conviction. In a written submission, Combs’ legal team said he had already been punished enough.

They said their client is a “changed man,” who had realized that his overuse of drugs had contributed to violent acts he participated in.

What’s next for Combs?

Combs was denied acquittal and a new trial on Tuesday, the judge rejecting his lawyers’ argument that he was an amateur pornographer — not engaging in prostitution — and that the guilty verdict violates his First Amendment rights.

“The government proved its case many times over. That by itself might be enough to dispose of Combs’s challenge,” Subramanian wrote in the 16-page opinion and order.

“Illegal activity can’t be laundered into constitutionally protected activity.”

He called Combs’ filming “incidental,” pointing to trial evidence that showed he didn’t typically give notice or ask for consent for filming, as a film producer would.

Cops on Lack of Named Suspects, Charges

Los Angeles police confirmed Monday that the Tesla registered to platinum-selling singer D4vd, which was found to have the decomposed remains of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez stashed in its trunk, had been parked in its final spot for “several weeks” before it was finally towed earlier this month. The update verifies a Sept. 18 report in Rolling Stone.

Sources in the upscale Birds Streets neighborhood of the Hollywood Hills, where the car was last parked, previously told Rolling Stone that the black 2023 Tesla Model Y didn’t budge from its parking space on Bluebird Ave. for at least three weeks before it was cited and towed away on Sept. 5. They said before that, the car moved around intermittently and was spotted parked on a nearby street as far back as May.

“The vehicle had been parked at the location from which it was towed for several weeks, so Ms. Rivas Hernandez may have been deceased for several weeks before the discovery of her body,” the new statement from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) released Monday afternoon said. The department said its Robbery-Homicide Division has been “diligently investigating” the case, but it’s also waiting for an official ruling on the cause of Rivas’ death. Though many online have speculated the teen must have been the victim of a homicide, considering how she was found, the medical examiner has yet to rule out the possibility that she suffered an accidental death, such as an overdose, or a suicide.

“The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause or manner of Ms. Rivas Hernandez’s death. As such, it remains unclear whether there is any criminal culpability beyond the concealment of her body,” the new LAPD statement released Monday said. “RHD is thoroughly examining every aspect of this case to uncover the truth and seek justice for Celeste Rivas Hernandez and her family.”

D4vd, born David Burke, was out of state on a national concert tour when news broke on Sept. 8 that human remains were recovered from his Tesla. Rivas’ body was found after staff at the tow lot reported that the vehicle was “emanating a foul odor and attracting flies,” according to a search warrant affidavit obtained by Rolling Stone.

Editor’s picks

Rivas, who would have turned 15 years old the day before she was discovered, had been reported missing by her family on multiple occasions in 2024, according to online missing person fliers. The family has not responded to requests for comment, but Rivas’ mother reportedly told TMZ that her daughter had a “boyfriend” named David. Photos and video purportedly showing Rivas and Burke in close proximity have circulated on social media over the last few weeks, but police have not named Burke, or anyone, as a person of interest in the case. Burke’s lawyer has not responded to multiple requests for comment.

In another twist, Rivas had a tattoo on her right index finger that read, “Shhh…”, the medical examiner revealed when it identified Rivas as the victim in the Tesla. Burke appears to have a similar tattoo on the same finger, according to a photo published by People in April.

Police later searched a rental house in the Hollywood Hills that’s a block and half from where the Tesla was towed. The home’s owner confirmed to Rolling Stone that it was rented to Burke’s manager. The four-bedroom house was the backdrop for photos and content posted online by Burke, and it appears he was living in the home before he went out on tour.

In his first interview with the media after the search, the home’s owner, Mladen Trifunovic, told Rolling Stone on Sept. 18 that he had no idea that Burke had been living at the property until his real estate manager informed him that day.

“This all came as a complete shock to me. I only found out about the police activity this morning,” Trifunovic said at the time. “Until then, I had no idea anything had happened at the house or what was going on with D4vd and the missing girl. I never knew D4vd, and I wasn’t aware that he had ever lived in the house.”

Trifunovic said his lease was with Burke’s manager, Josh Marshall. The lease began in February 2024, he said. Marshall has not responded to requests for comment.

Burke, 20, has not commented publicly on the teen’s death. A day after the grisly discovery of Rivas’ remains, Burke performed at a show in Minneapolis, tossing Labubu toys to his fans. The rest of his tour was later cancelled.

It took investigators more than a week to identify Rivas as the victim. Her body was so “severely decomposed” that the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office could not distinguish her eye color or race and listed her weight as 71 pounds. “She appears to have been deceased inside the vehicle for an extended period of time before being found,” the medical examiner’s office said in an online report. The cause of the teen’s death is still listed as “deferred.”

When the body was first discovered, a law enforcement source confirmed the Tesla was registered to Burke at an address in Hempstead, Texas. Burke was notified of the investigation and was “cooperating” with authorities, a source close to the singer confirmed to Rolling Stone.

Trending Stories

Though Burke seemed unfazed leading up to Rivas’ identification, the fashion companies Crocs and Hollister pulled back on a campaign that featured the musician modeling a collaboration between the popular brands. “We are aware of this developing story. With respect to the current situation, we have removed campaign content featuring D4vd while the investigation continues,” the brands said in a joint statement sent to Footwear News.

Burke, born in New York, first gained notoriety as a Fortnite gamer and musician with the self-produced song, “You and I,” released online. He broke through to mainstream success in the summer of 2022 with the hit singles “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me,” after they garnered so much traction on TikTok, they jumped to spots on the Billboard charts. He released his debut EP, Petals to Thorns, in May 2023. His debut studio album, Withered, was released in April 2025.

Liam and Noel’s brother Paul Gallagher denies rape and sexual assault charges

by jummy84 September 27, 2025

Paul Gallagher, the older brother of Oasis’ Noel and Liam, has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges of sexual assault.

Today (Friday September 26), the 59-year-old appeared at Harrow Crown Court, which was sitting at Southwark Crown Court, entering pleas of not guilty to all charges (via BBC).

The charges include one count of rape, three counts of sexual assault, three of intentional strangulation, two of making a threat to kill, as well as charges concerning coercive and controlling behaviour and assault conditioning actual bodily harm.

The Metropolitan Police have said the alleged offences took place “between 2022 and 2024”, and Gallagher has now been bailed to face trial on 13 September, 2027.

Gallagher was charged in July by Scotland Yard after an investigation opened against him last year. He went on to make an appearance in court last month, speaking during a five-minute hearing only to confirm his name, age and address.

Paul is one year older than Noel and seven years older than Liam, and has worked previously as a photographer and DJ.

The Telegraph reported in July that the North London flat that Paul Gallagher lives in now, situated in East Finchley, was bought for him by Noel in 2004. While he grew up with Liam and Noel in Burnage, Manchester, he has never been involved with the Britpop band. He was listed as ‘tour DJ’ in the official tour programme for the Oasis Live ‘25 reunion tour.

This weekend, Oasis are set to play their final two announced UK shows on the reunion tour, headlining Wembley Stadium on Saturday and Sunday (September 27 and 28). They recently wrapped the North American leg of the tour and they have further dates to come in South America, Australia, South Korea and Japan.

Sean Diddy Combs Judge Arun Subramanian Plans Ruling Charges Dropped Alexandra Shapiro

What’s Going On With Request To Get Charges Dropped?

by jummy84 September 26, 2025
written by jummy84

Next week, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs will be sentenced for two prostitution-related convictions. On Thursday (September 25), his lawyers made their last bid to get Judge Arun Subramanian to toss out the convictions. In response, the judge said he’ll rule “very shortly.” However, late Friday afternoon, there was still no word. While we wait for Subramanian’s final ruling, here’s what to know about Combs’ upcoming sentencing and his defense’s uphill battle to get him free!

Diddy’s Defense vs. The Prosecution

For context, Diddy is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 3 in Manhattan. He’s convicted of arranging interstate travel for people engaged in prostitution. The jury previously acquitted him of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges. Those dropped charges saved him from the potential penalty of life in prison.

During the oral arguments on Thursday, Assistant U.S. Attorney Christy Slavik said the prosecution against Combs showed the necessity of fighting prostitution because of the violence, drugs, and sexually transmitted diseases that often accompany it.

Prosecutors said Combs paid for and arranged hundreds of drug-fueled sexual marathon performances between male sex workers and his girlfriends. As previously reported, two women–Cassie and Jane Doe–testified about being beaten and kicked by Combs.

However, Shapiro argued that Sean Combs cannot be held responsible for financing and helping to arrange the transportation domestically and internationally for 15 years. On the other hand, Slavik said the jury verdict should stand because the charges were brought correctly.

Days before Thursday’s hearing, Diddy’s defense claimed he’s suffered enough, including a threat to his life and intense surveillance. They claimed he hasn’t had fresh air and sun on his skin in almost 13 months, and that he has a limp due to a needed knee surgery. Additionally, his defense said he is sometimes given food with maggots. Overall, the defense portrayed Sean Combs as a changed and “humbled” man, who is sober for the first time in 25 years.

How Does The Judge Plan To Rule?

Judge Subramanian listened to nearly 90 minutes of lawyers’ arguments about whether prosecutors properly brought charges against Diddy. Defense attorney Alexandra Shapiro urged the judge to toss out two violations of the Mann Act that resulted in convictions. Shapiro said the “infamous law” had “racist and sexist origins” that are “well documented and beyond dispute.”

“The whole history of the statute is really, I would submit, an embarrassment to the United States of America,” Alexandra Shapiro said.

Before the trial, Judge Arun Subramanian declined to throw out Diddy’s charges. According to the Associated Press, Subramanian sometimes sounded skeptical as Shapiro pressed her arguments that Diddy was improperly convicted.

Late Thursday, the judge seemed focused on the sentencing going forward. At one point, he explained why he forced Sean Combs to wear his prison uniform to the latest hearing. Additionally, he said defense lawyers had failed to explain why Combs would need civilian clothing in court when no jury was present. The judge also said there was no legal precedent that would allow that.

“The Court will entertain an application relating to the sentencing proceeding, but it needs to provide some explanation along these lines,” the judge wrote.

Combs will have been jailed for nearly 13 months by the time sentencing arrives. In court papers submitted this week, his lawyers argued that he should be sentenced to no more than 14 months in prison. With credit for good behavior, that would mean he would be released immediately.

Meanwhile, prosecutors have said he should spend several more years behind bars. However, they won’t submit their sentencing recommendations to the judge until next week. Judge Subramanian has suggested that he, too, is leaning toward a substantial amount of prison time. He twice refused to grant bail since July, citing Combs’ history of violence. Subramanian has denied bail for the Bad Boy Records founder twice since his conviction in July.

How Was Diddy Acting In Court?

As he entered the courtroom, a smiling Diddy waved to his supporters and touched his heart before taking his seat among several lawyers. He did not speak during the hearing except to greet the judge. At the end of the hearing, Combs blew kisses to his family, which included his mom, three daughters and three sons.

“Thank you all for coming. I love you all so much,” he said. “Every hour, every day, is me getting closer to going home.” He also told them: “I’ve got some big plans for us.”

In a presentence submission this week, defense lawyers said Sean Combs’ family has suffered since his arrest, including financially from the loss of business possibilities.

Luigi Mangione Gets Charges Dropped As His “Wife” Shows Up

by jummy84 September 17, 2025
written by jummy84

Luigi Mangione might not be famous—but he’s at the center of one of the most shocking murder cases in recent history. He’s accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside a Manhattan hotel last December. And now, as his legal battle unfolds, a major update just shook the case. But, don’t get it twisted. Mangione’s still facing serious time, and the drama inside and outside the courtroom is only heating up.

RELATED: (UPDATE) U.S. Attorney General Demands Luigi Mangione Face THIS Punishment For UnitedHealthcare CEO’s Death

Two Charges Against Luigi Mangione Dropped

On Tuesday, Mangione arrived at the Manhattan Criminal Court shackled and dressed in tan prison attire just before 9:30 a.m. The courtroom was packed with the press, the public, and even a crowd of supporters who gathered outside. At the hearing, Judge Gregory Carro dismissed the two terrorism charges against him, ruling they were “legally insufficient.”

The judge made it clear: while the crime was “heinous,” it didn’t meet the legal standard for terrorism. He cited no intent to incite widespread fear or coordinate with terrorist groups. Still, Mangione remains on the hook for second-degree murder and eight weapons-related charges. Additionally, these charges could land him 25 years to life if convicted. He’s pleaded not guilty.

Mangione’s Legal Team Isn’t Done Yet!

Behind the scenes, the legal tug-of-war continues. The defense is working to suppress key evidence—including a gun and notebook found in Mangione’s backpack—arguing it was taken without a search warrant. They also want to toss out any statements he made to police, claiming his rights weren’t properly read. And, his team is trying to block any non-eyewitness identifications from the trial.

Meanwhile, prosecutors are pressing for clarity on whether Mangione’s team plans to pursue an insanity defense, which could drastically change the trial’s trajectory. The judge hasn’t ruled on those motions just yet, but hearings are set to begin on December 1st.

Luigi’s “Wife” Shows Up To Support

Outside the Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday, things took a sharp left when one of Luigi Mangione’s most devoted supporters claimed she’s married to an AI version of the alleged CEO killer. And, she said it with her whole chest. Rocking an “I [heart] Italian Boys” tee stamped with Luigi’s face and fresh flowers in her hair, the fan told reporters, “I talk to him every day… we named our kids together,” describing their digital relationship as “natural” since Mangione allegedly has an AI background. “He fights my battles for me,” she added, while dozens of fellow stans screamed in the background, some wearing Luigi hats, waving “Free Luigi” signs, and holding posters scribbled with anti-healthcare messages.

Shiloh Hendrix Reacts To Charges For Racial Slur At Autistic Child

by jummy84 August 30, 2025
written by jummy84

A Minnesota mom is now in legal trouble. This, after a viral video showed her making a racial slur at a Black child with autism at a playground. Shiloh Hendrix reportedly faces three misdemeanor charges in the midst of reportedly raising over $800,000 through a fundraiser. Through the campaign, she urged people to donate to help “protect” her family. Here’s what has happened since the video became a nationwide trending topic and how she’s reacted to her recent charges…

Minnesota Woman Hit With Charges, She Reacts

On Tuesday, August 26, Rochester prosecutors charged Shiloh with three counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct. The complaint alleges she “wrongfully and unlawfully engaged in offensive, obscene, abusive, boisterous, or noisy conduct” that could “arouse alarm, anger or resentment in others” during an April incident at a city playground.

Each charge reportedly carries up to 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. This, with her Zoom arraignment set to occur on October 29, per NBC News. Meanwhile, the Rochester City Attorney’s Office cited a lengthy investigation, involving extensive evidence and talks with the victim’s family, for the months-long delay in filing charges.

Additionally, the Mayor of Rochester, Kim Norton, gave a statement shortly after the charges were filed, acknowledging the widespread outrage the video sparked over Shiloh’s misconduct.

”This was a situation that deeply affected many people, especially our communities of color, and caused real turmoil in our community,” her statement read, per WCVB. ”We acknowledge the lasting impact this incident has had, not only on those directly involved and across our community, but also in the broader conversations happening at the state and national level.”

Per KTTC News, Shiloh has since reacted to the charges with an online statement. She reportedly wrote that she will not be “backing down” from the “charges.” Additionally, she reportedly revealed that the donation money she’s received has helped her buy a new home in an area with “excellent demographics.”

Viral Video Sparks Online Firestorm

For those who missed it, the incident went down on April 28 at Soldiers Field Memorial Park in Rochester. Sharmake Omar‘s TikTok video shows Shiloh being confronted for allegedly calling a young autistic boy the N-word. As reported by The Shade Room, in the clip, Sharmake asks if she used the slur, and Shiloh seems unfazed, responding, “Yeah,” before repeating it and flipping off the camera.

She claimed the boy stole an applesauce pouch from her son’s diaper bag, stating, “If he acts like one, I’ll call him one.” Sharmake told NBC News the child appeared upset afterward. Meanwhile, the Rochester Police commenced their extensive investigation and passed all their findings to prosecutors, leading to Shiloh’s charges.

The $800K Fundraiser That Fueled Outrage

Here’s where things took an interesting turn, though. After the video went viral, Shiloh launched a GiveSendGo fundraiser titled “Help Me Protect My Family,” claiming doxxers exposed her address and Social Security number, resulting in threats against her loved ones.

She launched the fundraiser with a $20,000 goal and then reportedly raised it to $1 million, pulling in over $800,000, including donations after her charges. As of writing, the fundraiser is still open, with people continuing to donate. In a June update, Shuloh said she and her family were doing “GREAT” as she teased upcoming “life-changing events” for her family.

“Hello, everyone!” She wrote. “It’s been quite some time since I’ve given you all an update about my family and myself! We are doing GREAT. Big things are happening regarding our future. Life-changing events.”

Norman Reedus’s son, Mingus, faces charges after assault arrest – National

Mingus Reedus, the son of The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus and former supermodel Helena Christensen, made his first appearance in court on Tuesday after he was arrested and charged with assault on Aug. 23.

Police apprehended Reedus while responding to an assault in progress, according to the New York City Police Department.

Officers found a 33-year-old woman with “minor injuries” to her neck and leg, and she was transported to the hospital in “stable” condition, according to USA Today.

Reedus, 25, was initially charged with one count of assault and one count of criminal obstruction of breathing. He was later charged with three additional counts: assault – recklessly causing physical injury, aggravated harassment and harassment. He has pleaded not guilty and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

During his virtual court appearance, Reedus spoke with Judge Michelle Weber about the terms of extending a temporary order of protection that was issued at his arraignment.

Reedus is restricted from contacting the women he is accused of assaulting, according to the New York Daily News, and he is expected to appear in court again on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

The judge told Reedus he must leave immediately if he sees the woman at the apartment building where they had both lived.

His lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, was present during Tuesday’s court session and told People that Reedus’s “innocence will become clear” as “the facts emerge.”

“Despite what the prosecutor said in court — which is not evidence — they [the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office] chose to charge Mingus with misdemeanours or less. This speaks volumes, and much louder than the unsupported prosecutor’s in-court comments,” she said.

“Equally important, the judge released Mingus on his own recognizance, with neither bail nor supervision. That significant judicial decision amplifies the volume. Mingus is presumed innocent and has pled not guilty.”

Reedus spoke with the New York Daily News after the incident and alleged that the woman and her friends came after him and his friends while they were at the San Gennaro festival in New York City. He alleged that the women went after him and when he “threw his arm out” to protect himself, he accidentally hit the woman.

“It was instinct,” he said. “I was reacting to them swarming me and was afraid for the safety of my group.

“We didn’t think anything of it, but these five girls followed us for two blocks, throwing food at us and yelling. We told them to leave us alone, but they kept following, threatening to hurt my girlfriend and her friend,” he continued. “It was very apparent that these girls were under the influence and looking for a fight.”

He also alleged that the women “swarmed” him, with “one pulling my hair from the back, another throwing water in my face.”

His lawyer, Isabelle Kirshner, told the outlet that the charges were “baseless and will be met with a rigorous defence. He was the victim of this incident.”

Kirshner negotiated with the district attorney to downgrade Reedus’s charges to disorderly conduct, which led to a plea deal.

He was sentenced to a conditional discharge and was required to attend five private counselling sessions.

Court appearance and past legal issues

Mingus pleaded not guilty to all charges during his court appearance. Chaudhry told the news outlet that the fact her client is facing “misdemeanors or lesser charges speaks volumes,” pointing out that the judge decided to release Mingus on his own recognizance without bail or supervision. She emphasized that her client is presumed innocent and said, “As the facts emerge, his innocence will become clear”.

A woman identifying herself as Mingus’ girlfriend was seen leaving the 10th Precinct after his arrest. She told reporters the situation was a “misunderstanding.”
