The couple tied the knot today, September 30, in a one-of-a-kind ceremony held on the sets of their reality show Pati Patni Aur Panga – Jodiyon Ka Reality Check, airing on Colors TV. The special event blended Avika’s professional roots with her personal milestone, as she got married on the very platform that first brought her into the limelight.

Following a joyful Haldi and Mehendi celebration, the wedding ceremony was conducted in the presence of close family, fellow contestants, and several celebrity guests. The couple’s wedding pictures have now been shared online, capturing the magical moment. Avika looked stunning in a heavily embroidered red lehenga paired with striking green jewelry, while Milind opted for a classic beige sherwani, perfectly complementing his bride.

Their barat video had already gone viral earlier in the day, and the first photos as husband and wife show the couple posing happily for the paparazzi outside the sets. Selena Gomez loves Benny Blanco‘s like an eternal  is an eternal love song now that they’re getting married. The couple, who have been dating since 2023, are reportedly set to exchange vows this weekend. With a star-packed guest list and a picturesque venue, Hollywood Life is breaking down everything we know so far about Selena and Benny’s wedding here.

When Is Selena Gomez Getting Married?

Selena and Benny are set to get married on Saturday, September 27, 2025, Us Weekly and Page Six reported. The rehearsal dinner reportedly took place the evening before.

Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco’s Wedding Guest List

Expected guests include Selena’s best friend, Taylor Swift, and her Only Murders in the Building co-stars Martin Short and Steve Martin. Ashley Park and Paris Hilton are also reportedly on the guest list.

Earlier this month, Selena, Martin and Steve appeared on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where the comedians joked that they hadn’t received their invitations yet. Selena was quick to clarify that they both were “of course” invited.

“Marty’s the ring bearer,” the Wizards Beyond Waverly Place star joked, before Marty delivered what was perhaps the funniest punchline of the interview: “We are all so excited because we love this lady, and we love her fiancé, Bad Bunny.”

Where Is Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco’s Wedding?

Selena and Benny’s wedding weekend is taking place in Santa Barbara, California, Page Six and Us Weekly reported. Guests are reportedly staying at the El Encanto resort, but details of the ceremony’s location have been carefully hidden from the public eye.

When Did Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco Get Engaged?

Selena and Benny got engaged after one year of dating in December 2024. The record producer proposed over a romantic picnic.

“It was the sickest surprise that she had no idea about, and it couldn’t have come at a better time because I was starting to f*** up,” Benny recalled during his and Selena’s joint Interview Magazine conversation. “The thing that makes me so crazy is, you’re getting engaged, and right before, they’re like, ‘Show me how good of a liar you are. Sneak around and try to do this perfect thing without me knowing.’”

Benny continued, “At the end, she was starting to get upset because she was like, ‘Why aren’t you coming home tonight?’ And I was like, ‘Oh, I’m just at my friends’ [house].’ I almost did it early. But I nailed it, I think.”

The singer, real name Charlotte Aitchison, and The 1975 drummer Daniel celebrated in the Sicilian village of Scopello complete with numerous friends from the worlds of music and celebrity.

Polachek, a frequent collaborator of Charli, sang Daniel Johnston’s 1984 song ‘True Love Will Find You In The End’ as the couple walked down the aisle.

Swedish rapper Yung Lean, real name Jonatan Leandoer Håstad, sang The Stooges’ 1969 proto-punk classic ‘I Wanna Be A Dog’ with a live band, too. Daniel’s 1975 bandmate Matty Healy and his fiancée Gabbriette, both absent from the July ceremony, joined Håsted onstage after the former crowdsurfed for a while, too.

Healy himself performed with his dad, actor Tim, as they sang ‘Perfect Day’ by Lou Reed, one of Charli’s idols. He played a DJ set, too, which included Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Call Me Maybe’, while his mum, actress and TV personality Denise Welch, was invited too and shared a montage of footage from the celebrations on Instagram.

Among the other musicians there were PC Music founder A. G. Cook and producer Easyfun, who played a remix of Charli’s hyperpop classic ‘Vroom Vroom’, singers Beabadoobee, Robyn, Clairo and Troye Sivan, and actress Julia Fox.

Charli has shared a range of photos from the ceremony on Instagram too, the most recent selection being fronted by one of her and Daniel kissing.

The couple first worked together in 2021, when they recorded the track ‘Spinning’. A year later, they confirmed their romance on social media, and in November 2023, they got engaged.

In a TikTok post, Charli shared that her song ‘Talk Talk’, from her 2024 album ‘Brat’, was written about an incident involving Daniel at the 2020 NME Awards, in which she almost followed him to the bathroom but decided against it when halfway there.

That night, Charli was nominated for Best Solo Act In The World, Best British Solo Act and Best Collaboration. She also presented the Songwriter Of The Decade Award to Robyn alongside Christine And The Queens.

Daniel was also present, with The 1975 being awarded the Band Of The Decade Award, as well as Best British Band and the NME Innovation Award.

Grace Antony Weds Composer Aby Tom Cyriac in a Heartfelt Kochi Ceremony

by jummy84 September 10, 2025
written by jummy84

Actor Grace Antony, one of Malayalam cinema’s brightest talents, is officially married. On Tuesday, she and composer Aby Tom Cyriac exchanged vows at the Our Lady of Dolours Roman Catholic Church in Kakkanad, Kochi. The ceremony was kept deliberately private with no elaborate rituals, no flashing lights, no heavy guest lists. Sharing the moment with fans, Grace posted a simple caption on Instagram: “No sounds, no lights, no crowds. Finally we made it. #justmarried”.

The pair, who have been together for nearly a decade, chose intimacy over grandeur, creating a moment that felt both personal and deeply romantic.

Two Journeys, One Partnership

Grace Antony stepped into the industry with Happy Wedding in 2016 and quickly became known for her ability to slip seamlessly into diverse roles. Whether it was the restrained brilliance of Kumbalangi Nights, the humour of Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham, or the intensity of Rorschach and Appan, she has proven herself one of the most versatile performers of her generation. Recently, she ventured into Tamil cinema with director Ram’s Paranthu Po, starring opposite Shiva, further widening her creative footprint.

Aby Tom Cyriac, meanwhile, has made his mark from behind the scenes. Starting out as an arranger and programmer, he eventually became a full-fledged composer. His discography includes titles like Paavada, Second Innings, Shikhamani, Sakalakalashala and Kadalassu Thoni. With contributions to over 300 projects across Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi cinema, Aby is respected as both a prolific composer and a trusted collaborator for some of the industry’s biggest names.

Warm Wishes from Colleagues

As soon as the news broke, social media was abuzz with congratulatory notes from friends and colleagues. Industry peers such as Unni Mukundan, Kani Kusruti, Samvritha Akhil, and Rajisha Vijayan dropped in heartfelt comments under Grace’s post, celebrating the couple’s new chapter. For fans who have followed Grace’s journey from her debut to her latest projects, the wedding felt like a moment of collective joy.

What stands out most about this celebration is how reflective it is of Grace and Aby’s personalities. Just as Grace’s screen presence balances subtlety with power, and Aby’s music blends craft with emotion, their wedding was understated yet meaningful. No extravagant displays, just love, commitment, and the promise of a shared future.

West Point Graduates Cancel Ceremony Honoring Tom Hanks

by jummy84 September 7, 2025
written by jummy84

The West Point Association of Graduates has canceled a ceremony that was set to honor Tom Hanks with the Sylvanus Thayer Award, which recognizes an “outstanding citizen” whose career exemplifies the U.S Military Academy’s ideals of “Duty, Honor, Country,” according to The Washington Post.

In an email to faculty, Retired Army Col. Mark Bieger, president and chief executive officer of the Association, explained the decision as a desire to “focus on [the Academy’s] core mission of preparing cadets to lead, fight, and win as officers in the world’s most lethal force.”

Hanks was announced as the 2025 recipient of the award in June. At the time, the Association highlighted the actor’s numerous portrayals of military figures in films such as Saving Private Ryan, Forrest Gump, and Greyhound; his work as a producer on acclaimed series like Band of Brothers and The Pacific; and his long-standing advocacy for veterans, including leading a fundraising campaign for the National WWII Museum in New Orleans.

“Tom Hanks has done more for the positive portrayal of the American service member, more for the care of the American veteran, their caregivers and their families, and more for the American space program and all branches of government than many other Americans,” Robert McDonald, former Secretary of Veterans Affairs and the Association’s board chairman, said when Hanks was first announced as the honoree.

The West Point Association of Graduates’ cancelation of the award comes amid a wave of controversial changes the Trump Administration has made to the US military. Since returning to office, Donald Trump has fired numerous top leaders, ordered reviews of the curriculums at academies like West Point, and just this week, he renamed the Department of Defense as the Department of War.

His son, Donald Trump Jr., celebrated the decision to strip Hanks of the award, writing on X: “Great to see [Secretary of War Pete Hegseth] holding the line for @realdonaldtrump to make the military strong again. West Point should be focused on training the next generation of war fighters, not celebrating woke leftwing celebrities with awards!!!”

Francis Ford Coppola Honors Werner Herzog at Venice Opening Ceremony

by jummy84 August 28, 2025
written by jummy84

Francis Ford Coppola doesn’t have a film premiering in Venice this year, but the 86-year-old Oscar winner is duly present for the 82nd edition. His pal Mike Figgis’ behind-the-scenes portrait “Megadoc,” about the production of Coppola’s 2024 cinematic cause célèbre “Megalopolis,” debuts out of competition this week. And at the festival’s opening ceremony Wednesday night, Coppola took to the dais to champion his longtime friend, the German filmmaker Werner Herzog, recipient of the festival’s honorary Golden Lion for lifetime achievement. (“Vertigo” icon Kim Novak will also receive one later this week.)

Herzog’s new film “Ghost Elephants,” about an elusive herd of the Angolan creatures, debuts in Venice this week as part of the festival’s robust documentary slate, which also includes new films from Laura Poitras and Sofia Coppola.

La Grazia

“One must celebrate that someone like him can exist,” said Coppola of Herzog, the 82-year-old documentary and fiction auteur whose films have spanned everywhere from the Caves of Lascaux in “Cave of Forgotten Dreams” to pushing a steamboat up the Andes with Klaus Kinski in “Fitzcarraldo,” or alongside conservationist Timothy Treadwell in his last days for “Grizzly Man.”

“His work burst into my life with ‘The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser’ [from 1974], ‘Aguirre, the Wrath of God,’ and ‘Fitzcarraldo.’ I have never seen such films as these, all unique and very different from one another, and all magnificent,” said Coppola, who put up a penniless Herzog at his San Francisco house to finish the script for “Fitzcarraldo.”

“He’s written operas, he’s directed roles, he’s acted. He not only can fill the pages of an encyclopedia — Werner is one so, so filled with exuberant creativity. … We all joined together at my home in San Francisco, where there was always fun conversations and much learning and enthusiastic discoveries. I was working on a play at that time, and remember introducing one of the cast members, Lena, who eventually became his wife. So when it comes down to is this: If Werner has limits, I don’t know what they are. Werner’s life and his very existence send a challenge to everyone out there: copy, if you can. And all of us truly wonder if anyone ever will. Werner, I will eat my hat if anyone comes [along] who can do it.”

A tearful Herzog took to the stage at the Sala Grande on the Lido di Venezia. “Francis has been extremely kind and generous to me,” Herzog said. “We know each other for half a century by now. He’s been generous, inviting me at a time when I didn’t have money to pay for a hotel room. I stayed at his house in San Francisco and wrote my screenplay of ‘Fitzcarraldo.’ Both of us came very close to making a very big film about the conquest of Mexico together, seen from the perspective of the Aztecs, a film project that did not materialize, but it’s a wonderful time when we plotted about it. And, of course, without Francis, I would not have met my wonderful wife, Lena. In fact, it is not true that we are 30 years together. Now it is to be correct: 29 years, 11 months, and nine days.”

Herzog — whose “Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans” and “My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done?” both played Venice in competition in 2009 — concluded, “I have always tried to strive for something that goes deeper beyond what you normally see in movie theaters. Go into a deep form of poetry that is possible in cinema, searching for truth in unusual ways. Truth is always somehow in cinema. It’s mysterious and elusive, and I always try to do something which was sublime or something transcendental. This may sound a little bit lofty. So in fact, I do believe that all this has similar reasons. I always wanted to be a good soldier of cinema.”

Later in the opening ceremony, competition jury president Alexander Payne took to the stage hours after navigating questions about Gaza during the jury press conference. Protests surrounding the ongoing genocide in Gaza are roundly expected to dominate event space and news chatter throughout the fest.

The jury also includes filmmakers Stéphane Brizé, Maura Delpero, Cristian Mungiu, and Mohammad Rasoulof, and actors Zhao Tao and 2025 Best Actress Oscar nominee Fernanda Torres, who together will look at 21 films from the likes of Paolo Sorrentino (whose “La Grazia” opened the festival), Yorgos Lanthimos, Noah Baumbach, Park Chan-wook, Kathryn Bigelow, Guillermo del Toro, Olivier Assayas, Mona Fastvold, Benny Safdie, Jim Jarmusch, and more.

“My fellow jurors and I express our great honor of being asked to serve on the jury of this year’s Venice Film Festival, and we offer our greatest respect and warmest congratulations to all the superb filmmakers whose work we have the privilege of seeing with virgin eyes,” Payne said following a tribute reel montaging moments from his career, from “Sideways” to “The Descendants.” “I encourage my fellow jury members and myself to consider that we know something about cinema, but also nothing at all, to look at each movie simultaneously with the eyes of a professional but also with the eyes of a child who is perhaps seeing a film for the very first time. We know that each of the films will be some kind of miracle, as the existence of cinema itself is a miracle, and we approach our work with the spirit of great joy.”
