The Devil Wears Prada 2 is no longer moving at a glacial pace. The project is currently in production in New York City, and Disney has confirmed a 2026 release date! The movie will premiere about 20 years after the first film hit theaters and went on to become a timeless classic with references that nobody in Hollywood tires of (Gird your loins!)

Now, the question is when can we finally see Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci and company reprise their roles from The Devil Wears Prada?

Hollywood Life has all the details on The Devil Wears Prada sequel below.

Devil Wears Prada 2 Release Date

The Devil Wears Prada sequel will be released on May 1, 2026, Disney confirmed.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 Cast

Anne, Emily, Meryl and Stanley are all reprising their roles — with Anne as Andrea “Andy” Sachs, Emily as Emily Charlton, Meryl as Miranda Priestly and Stanley as Nigel — Disney confirmed in June 2025. They officially began production that month.

That fall, Lady Gaga was reported to be appearing in the film.

What Will The Devil Wears Prada 2 Be About?

The Devil Wears Prada 2 will focus on Miranda struggling to manage the gradual downfall of print magazine publishing, according to The Wrap. With Runway in decline, Miranda asks her former assistant Emily for advertising dollars, and the latter now works as an executive at a luxury brand.

Is The Devil Wears Prada About Anna Wintour?

The creators behind the film — which is based on the 2003 novel of the same name by Lauren Weisberger — have not held back in sharing their inspirations behind the film’s apathetic fashion world setting. While it’s not entirely inspired by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, fashion designers were too afraid to lend costume pieces to the film in fear of Anna’s reaction, writer Aline Brosh McKenna told Entertainment Weekly in 2021.

“I had enormous trouble finding anyone in the fashion world who’d talk to me, because people were afraid of Anna and Vogue, not wanting to be blackballed,”Aline said. “There was one person who spoke to me, whose name I will never divulge, who read it and said, ‘The people in this movie are too nice. No one in that world is too nice. They don’t have to be, and they don’t have time to be.’ After that, I did a pass to make everyone a bit busier and meaner.”

In spite of this, Anna has had a sensor of humor about the film. In January 2024, the fashion queen and Anne made cameos in Broadway’s Gutenberg as producers, who hand the stars of the show a Broadway contract at the end.

Anna announced she was stepping down from her role as EIC of Vogue in June 2025.

Star Trek fans may have said goodbye to two of the Paramount+ series in the franchise in the last two years (Picard in 2023, Discovery in 2024), but there are new additions still to come. One of them is Starfleet Academy, and now, thanks to the panel at 2025 New York Comic Con on Saturday, October 11, we know when it will premiere: January 15. We also now the full roll-out schedule for their first season.

During the panel, Paramount+ also released a new trailer, which you can watch above, introducing the cadets, teasing interactions between Holly Hunter’s captain and chancellor and Paul Giamatti’s villain, and more.

Plus, Stephen Colbert shared in a video, which you can watch below, that he will be the voice of Starfleet Academy’s Digital Dean of Students, giving daily announcements to the students and alerting them of anything that needs their immediate attention.

This new series was first said to be in development in February 2022. Just over a year later, it was announced that Paramount+ had picked it up to series (in March 2023).

“Admission is now open to Starfleet Academy! Explore the galaxy! Captain your destiny! For the first time in over a century, our campus will be re-opened to admit individuals a minimum of 16 Earth years (or species equivalent) who dream of exceeding their physical, mental and spiritual limits, who value friendship, camaraderie, honor and devotion to a cause greater than themselves. The coursework will be rigorous, the instructors among the brightest lights in their respective fields, and those accepted will live and study side-by-side with the most diverse population of students ever admitted. Today we encourage all who share our dreams, goals and values to join a new generation of visionary cadets as they take their first steps toward creating a bright future for us all. Apply today! Ex Astris, Scientia!” co-showrunners and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau said in a statement at the time.

“We are excited to introduce Star Trek fans to a whole new generation of Starfleet officers in training as they navigate the rigors of the Academy and the brink of adulthood in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy,” added Domenic DiMeglio, Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Data, Paramount Streaming. “Introducing new characters and compelling storylines, this all-new original series will serve as a fantastic addition to the franchise and Paramount+, bringing new generations of viewers and long-term Star Trek fans alike together to enjoy the next chapter in the iconic Star Trek universe.”

The series has yet to premiere, but it has already been renewed! Below, we’re taking a look at everything we know about the latest Trek series. Keep checking back for updates!

When will Star Trek: Starfleet Academy premiere?

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Season 1 will premiere on Thursday, January 15, 2026, with the first two episodes. The rest of the 10-episode season will be released weekly on Thursdays, with the finale dropping on March 12.

What is Star Trek: Starfleet Academy?

The series will follow the adventures of a new class of Starfleet cadets as they come of age in one of the most legendary places in the galaxy. This young group of cadets will come together to pursue a common dream of hope and optimism. Under the watchful and demanding eyes of their instructors, they will discover what it takes to become Starfleet officers as they navigate blossoming friendships, explosive rivalries, first loves, and a new enemy that threatens both the Academy and the Federation itself.

Who’s in the Starfleet Academy cast?

Holly Hunter stars as Nahla Ake, the Chancellor of Starfleet Academy and Captain of the U.S.S. Athena, who also happens to be a long-lived half-Lanthanite.

“It feels like we’ve spent our entire lives watching Holly Hunter be a stone-cold genius,” said Kurtzman and Landau in a statement.  “To have her extraordinary authenticity, fearlessness, sense of humor, and across the board brilliance leading the charge on Starfleet Academy is a gift to all of us, and to the enduring legacy of Star Trek.”

Paul Giamatti has been cast in the recurring role of part Klingon, part Tellarite Nus Braka, the season’s villain with an ominous past connected to one of the cadets.

Said Kurtzman and Landau, “Sometimes you’re lucky enough to discover that one of the greatest actors alive is also a huge Star Trek fan, and meeting Paul was one of those miraculous moments for us. The sheer delight with which he dove in on Starfleet Academy is only surpassed by the gratitude we feel about him joining our incredible cast.”

Discovery‘s Mary Wiseman (Sylvia Tilly), Tig Notaro (Jett Reno), and Oded Fehr (Admiral Vance) and Voyager‘s Robert Picardo (The Doctor) are reprising their roles. Notaro and Picardo join as series regulars, and Fehr and Wiseman join as guest stars.

And playing cadets are Kerrice Brooks, Bella Shepard, George Hawkins, Karim Diané, Zoë Steiner, and Sandro Rosta.

Brooke Palmer/Paramount+

Rosta is Caleb Mir, an orphan with a troubled past – and unlikely Starfleet cadet. Diané is Jay-Den Kraag, a Klingon cadet who dreams of becoming a medical officer. Brooks is Series Acclimation Mil, a.k.a. Sam, the first of her kind to ever attend Starfleet Academy. Hawkins is Darem Reymi, an aspiring captain from a wealthy home world. Shepard is Genesis Lythe, an admiral’s daughter determined to make her own name in Starfleet. Steiner is Tarima Sadal, a Betazoid and daughter of the president of Betazed.

Gina Yashere recurs as Commander Lura Thok, a Klingon/Jem’Hadar hybrid who is the chancellor’s First Officer and Cadet Master.

And at New York Comic Con 2024, it was announced that Tatiana Maslany will be a recurring special guest star in Season 1. No character details have been revealed.

Is there a Starfleet Academy trailer?

Yes, and more than one! In addition to the one at the top, there’s also the trailer that was released at 2025 San Diego Comic-Con. It offers a look at the series’ iconic campus in San Francisco plus the new starship and integral part of the Starfleet Academy campus, the U.S.S. Athena.

“You are all the first Academy class to return to our campus in San Francisco after more than 120 years,” Captain Ake tells the cadets. “Some of you are here for your families, some for yourselves. Together, you are the best and the brightest from across the galaxy, a tapestry that is Starfleet. You will learn the skills that shaped our greatest officers. Like them, we’ll ask you to give more of yourselves than you know you have. To dream without limitations, whatever challenges came before today led you to this moment. You, here now, you weave together the future, so go out and seek, explore, boldly go where no one has gone before. It is my great honor to welcome you all to Starfleet Academy.”

Be sure to watch the video — below — to the end for a look at Giamatti’s villain, plus check throughout to see the names of legendary characters (the James T. Kirk Pavilion is just one instance!).

Will there be a Starfleet Academy Season 2?

Yes! At New York Comic Con 2024, the series was given an early renewal for Season 2. The news came as the show was still in production on Season 1 in Toronto.

Who’s behind the new series?

Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau serve as co-showrunners and executive produce the series alongside executive producers Gaia Violo, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Jenny Lumet, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth, Frank Siracusa, and John Weber. The series’ premiere episode is written by Gaia Violo and directed by Alex Kurtzman. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment.

Plus, Jonathan Frakes, Trek legend and director extraordinaire, told TV Insider he’s “[looking] forward to Starfleet Academy” when discussing his work behind the camera still to come in May 2024.

Action movies are more than just alive — they’re owning the big screen, and Glen Powell has become one of Hollywood’s rising action stars following his successes with Top Gun: Maverick, Hit Man and Twisters. With his latest project, The Running Man, on the horizon, fans of the original 1987 movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger are curious how it will shape up.

Hollywood Life has all the details on the 2025 adaptation of The Running Man here.

What Is The Running Man About?

The film follows Ben Richards (Powell) who joins a game show called The Running Man, where contestants are pursued by individuals called “hunters” that are hired to kill them. His motivation? To help his family out of poverty and a health crisis. But the game show is no ordinary one; with almost no rules to follow, Ben must evade death as millions around him try to kill him.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Glen teased that his character has “got a bone to pick with the world” and added, “It’s a different gear, you know. [director] Edgar [Wright] always calls it ‘Bad Mood Glen.’ He’s like, ‘Hey, I need more Bad Mood Glen!’”

The actor also pointed out that his friend, former co-star and mentor Tom Cruise was his “first call” when he got the part. After all, who other than Tom would know about action sequences and stunts?

“I said, ‘Tom, how do you do this?’” Glen recalled. “I spent like two and a half hours on the phone with him. I took a million notes. I knew I was going to have to put my body on the line on this movie. He told me all the things to worry about, all the things not to worry about, and also how to entertain audiences at the highest level. [He said], ‘Don’t just put your life on the line, make sure all the elements around you highlight cinematically the experience.’ Because [you] can jump off a bridge from an explosion, if you don’t frame it right, if it’s not timed correctly, the audience may not even know that you’re the guy doing it.”

The Running Man Cast

In addition to Glen, the rest of The Running Man cast features Josh Brolin, Colman Domingo, Lee Pace, Jayme Lawson, Michael Cera, Emilia Jones, William H. Macy, David Zayas, Katy O’Brian, Daniel Ezra, Karl Glusman and Sean Hayes.

The Running Man Trailer Breakdown

As with any action movie trailer, the teaser for The Running Man is packed with infernos, fights and screaming. In a Hunger Games-esque manner, Glen gets hunted down by everyone around him for 30 days so he can win the game show and help his family.

As Glen’s character, Ben, gets hunted down for viewers’ entertainment, viewers hear spectators chant in the trailer, “Hunt him down!”

The Running Man Movie Release Date

Paramount Pictures will release The Running Man on November 7, 2025, in theaters.

How Does The Running Man Book Compare to the Movie?

The 1982 book by the famous Stephen King is set in a 2025 dystopian United States, where the game show The Running Man coincides with the nation’s economic collapse and normalized violence.

Stay tuned for additional details in the weeks and months ahead.

Has Hacks been renewed for Season 5?

Yes, as mentioned above, Hacks has been renewed for a second season at HBO Max. The series will continue its run with all-new episodes that will stream exclusively on the platform. The series has been a Top 5 show on HBO Max since Season 4’s debut in the United States, and a Top 10 show globally. Season 4 has been Hacks‘ best-performing season yet, with week-over-week growth, prompting the quick renewal.

Will Hacks Season 5 be the show’s last?

According to star Hannah Einbinder, who spoke to E! News on the red carpet at the 2025 Emmys, Season 5 will be the show’s last, although no announcements from HBO Max have been made at this time. According to Variety, Einbinder said, “We’re going to start [filming] next week, and knowing it’s the last season is really bittersweet. But I think it’s right, you know? It’s nice to do something as many times as it should be done. Not overstay your welcome. Rip it and do it and laugh and cry.”

What has been said about the Hacks Season 5 renewal?

TV Insider caught up with Aniello, Statsky, and Downs, timed to the renewal announcement, during which they shared their excitement. “It’s exciting,” Aniello tells us, noting, “It’s also like, ‘Here we go!’”

“Back to work,” Statsky chimes in, essentially finishing Aniello’s sentence. Despite the daunting nature of tackling a new story, this talented trio couldn’t feel more fortunate as Downs adds, “We feel so lucky that we get to do a fifth season of comedy. We’re like, it shouldn’t be this way, but we feel really fortunate because it’s so rare. We feel incredibly lucky.”

In a release shared with the press, Sarah Aubrey, head of Max Original Programming, said, “Yes! More! We congratulate Hacks‘ singularly talented cast and crew and our great partners at Universal Television.” Meanwhile, Erin Underhill, the president of Universal Television, added, “Like Deborah Vance herself, Hacks only gets bolder, sharper, and more iconic with time. We’re beyond thrilled to keep the laughter rolling with Jen, Paul, Lucia, our extraordinary cast and crew, and our partners at Max.”

Is Hacks Season 5 filming?

Filming for Season 5 of Hacks has officially begun, as of September 23, 2025, as Smart, Einbinder, and more stars hit the streets of New York City, as seen in videos captured by fans. The show’s official account ultimately confirmed the show’s start of production with a fun NYC-set photo:

What is Hacks Season 5 about?

No logline for Hacks Season 5 has been revealed yet, but after Season 4’s finale, we’re willing to bet that it will track Deborah’s return to the States after her Singapore adventure that led to a false death announcement. But don’t expect her to run toward Los Angeles as the showrunners teased to TV Insider, that Deborah will return to Vegas in Season 5, and as mentioned above, filming in New York City hints at some new horizons for the comic.

Who stars in Hacks Season 5?

Chris Briney and Jean Smart in 'Hacks' Season 5

Kenny Laubbacher / HBO Max

As mentioned above, Smart and Einbinder will reprise their roles as Deborah and Ava, and Downs, Megan Stalter, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Mark Indelicato, and Rose Abdoo will play series regulars in Season 5. It has officially been revealed that The Summer I Turned Pretty‘s Christopher Briney would also join the ensemble, as revealed in the first-look photo above. Season 4 featured Dan Bucatinsky, Helen Hunt, Tony Goldwyn, Kaitlin Olson, Jane Adams, Lauren Weedman, Christopher McDonald, Poppy Liu, Lorenza Izzo, Johnny Sibilly, Paul Felder, Polly Draper, Luenell, and Aristotle Athari. Julianne Nicholson, Michaela Watkins, Bresha Webb, Robby Hoffman, Eric Balfour, Danny Jolles, Gavin Matts, Grover Whitmore III, Holmes, Jasmine Ashanti, Katy Sullivan, Matt Oberg, Sandy Honig, and Jake Shane. Stay tuned to see who makes the Season 5 cut when the more official casting news breaks.

Who makes Hacks Season 5?

Hacks is created for television by Aniello, Statsky, and Downs, who executive produce the show with Michael Schur, David Miner, Morgan Sackett, and Joe Mande. Meanwhile, Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group serves as the studio for the production.

By the end of season 1’s eight episode run, Cameron has finally proved that he has what it takes. Even Sullivan gives him his dues, revealing that he was only so hard on Cameron because he wanted to help make him stronger. The fact he’s also closeted might have had something to do with it too.

“You ready, Cope? You’re a Marine now.” And with that, Sullivan leaves. Where he goes, we don’t find out, but it’s easy to see why he left when he did. Prison looms following a bar fight that went bad and the Marines are also questioning him to find out if he’s gay too, because it was illegal to be homosexual and join up at the time.

Meanwhile, Cameron celebrates the end of his training in a bar with the other Marines, overjoyed that they’ve all made it. But he and Ray couldn’t have picked a worse time to join, because a newscaster has just announced that Iraq has invaded Kuwait, which means they’ll soon be needed on the front lines.

With Sullivan gone AWOL, Cameron suppressing his sexuality, and Ray… Well, Ray’s found love, all three characters are in a very different place to where they started this season.

Ahead of the show’s launch, RadioTimes.com asked Parker, Heizer and Oh what they hoped to see for their characters next in a potential second season of Boots.

“There are so many ways it could go for all of our characters,” said Parker. “I love that moment at the end where I hand over the walkie talkie to Cameron and let him know that he’s ready now… Just this battle of what’s right and what’s wrong.

“That moment of handing over the baton for him to carry on… He could be handing himself in, he could be running away, he could do anything.”

Heizer would like to see Cameron enjoy some romance after things didn’t work out so well for him on that front in season 1.

“It would be interesting to see him navigating that, especially in this military world,” he continued. “That would be cool. But like Max said, there’s so many different directions and so many things I would love to see. But just for fun, I’d like to see a little romance.”

For Oh, Ray’s future is very open moving forward: “He ends the season in this interesting spot of really questioning the path that he’s been on for the first time since he was a kid. I would like to see him continue to interrogate the choices that he’s made in his life, or the choices that he hasn’t made, that have been made for him by his father, by this sense of duty that he has.

“I want him to really find out what he believes for himself.”

Whatever happens, there’s plenty of story left to mine from that cliffhanger, switching things up from training to real-life combat. Because if being gay in boot camp was tough, imagine how hard it will be for Cameron to stay true to himself while fighting in Kuwait?

Let’s just hope Netflix laces up and marches ahead with a much-needed second season so we can see where this might take us.
