Lena Goes Rogue Like Danny in Case That Gets Personal in Episode 7

by jummy84 December 6, 2025
written by jummy84

What To Know

  • Lena Silver becomes personally invested in a case involving a murderous senator and struggles with balancing her instincts and proper police procedure.
  • With Danny Reagan’s guidance, Lena resists the urge to cut corners to solve her long-standing “white whale” case.
  • The case strengthens Lena and Danny’s partnership and highlights Danny’s growing attachment to Boston.

[Warning: The following contains MAJOR spoilers for Boston Blue Season 1 Episode 7, “Baggage Claim.”]

Lena Silver’s (Sonequa Martin-Green) “white whale” case resurfaced in Boston Blue‘s December 5 episode. Her feelings about the case made her hellbent on catching the killer, similar to how Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) would make cases personal on Blue Bloods. Danny had to teach Lena what he learned at the NYPD, which was that when you care so deeply about a case, it matters even more to solve it by following police procedures down to the letter.

Lena and Danny attended a gala in disguise to get into the same room as their suspect, Senator Lowell (Gabriel Burrafato). Lena was seething with anger when questioning the politician, revealing they had a history. During her first years as a detective in Boston, Lena suspected that Lowell murdered a sex worker. She was right, but she didn’t investigate properly, allowing him to slip through the cracks and get away with murder. It took Lena years to trust her instincts again and rebuild her credibility. There was no way she was letting him get away this time.

Lowell was suspected of killing a woman he encountered in a hotel, who wound up dead, her body stuffed in a suitcase and left in a public park to be discovered by Sean (Mika Amonsen) and Jonah (Marcus Scribner) while on the job. Lena knew in her gut that Lowell killed Claire, and her hunger to bring him to justice made her want to cut corners. Danny kept her on the straight and narrow, but eventually she snapped, asking why he was “questioning every instinct” she had.

Michael Gibson/CBS

“Why don’t you trust me?” she pressed. “I need your help, Danny. And I thought you were the kind of partner who would understand and who would stand with me. Was I wrong about you?”

“Of course, I trust you. And more importantly. I believe in you. You think I would be in this city if I didn’t? Sean or no Sean, I would be out of here,” Danny replied. “I also happen to believe that you are 100 percent correct about Senator Lowell. I’ve been down this road many times. We have to be smarter than him, so when we nail that son of a bitch, we nail him for good. That’s what the victims deserve. And maybe you could trust me a little bit, too.”

Lena grit her teeth and worked with Danny to find the evidence they needed. They finally found the real crime scene, as well as damning photos of Lowell taken by Claire, and his hair at the scene of the crime. They brought the crooked senator to the station for one last question before he was arrested.

“How does it feel to know that after all this time escaping justice, you are finally going away for good?” Lena said while staring him down.

This case strengthened the bond between Danny and Lena, proving that they make each other better as partners. Danny’s attachment to Boston is growing by the day. How will that impact the future of his relationship with Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez), who wants to keep on living in New York? Boston Blue was renewed for Season 2 on Wednesday, December 3, so the show has plenty of time to figure that out.

Orry posts partying video showing middle finger after questioning in ₹252 crore drugs case: ‘Jail has Wifi’

Just hours after being questioned by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Mumbai Police in connection with a ₹252-crore drugs case, Orhan Awatramani, aka Orry, sent out a bold message. He shared a video of himself dancing freely, flipping the middle finger with a caption that read, ‘Just let me live’.

On Wednesday, Orry appeared before investigators on for questioning in the ₹252-crore drugs case.

Orry gives out a message

Late on Wednesday, Orry took to Instagram to share a video which shows the influencer and content creator partying in a vibrant concert setting, illuminated by flashing stage lights in the background.

Orry is dressed in a shimmering, sheer black mesh top and is seen dancing energetically to Aaj Ki Raat song from Don- The Chase Begins Again. At one point, Orry is seen energetically jumping to the beat and making hand gestures. In one moment, he even flips the middle finger to the camera. The text on the video read, “I am a liver” – a line he shouts enthusiastically while throwing his hands in the air in the video.

He posted the video with the caption, “Just let me live”.

Although he didn’t mention the case or his questioning in the video or caption, social media users were quick to connect the dots. “Posting this mid questioning break,” one wrote, with another sharing, “Pov :People be hating on me while im at a party doing this.” “Love how you are always EXTRAAA EXTRAAAA,” one posted.

In fact, Orry also got witty when one social media user asked “how are you posting from jail” in the comment section. He wrote back, “it’s called Wi-Fi”.

Orry appears for questioning

On Wednesday, Orry finally appeared before investigators on for questioning in the ₹252-crore drugs case. Several videos of his outing have emerged on social media. In the clips, Orry was seen getting mobbed by people and paparazzi gathered outside the office, jostling to capture photos and videos.

On Tuesday, actor Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhanth appeared before the Anti-Narcotics Cell in connection with the drugs case. Earlier this month, Orry was summoned for questioning following claims made by alleged drug trafficker Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh, who was recently deported from Dubai and has alleged links to the Dawood Ibrahim gang.

According to officers quoted by Hindustan Times, Shaikh said during interrogation that he had organised lavish parties in Dubai and Mumbai, allegedly attended by several high-profile figures, including Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhant Kapoor, filmmakers Abbas–Mustan, rapper Loka, Orry, and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique.

Who Is Morgan Geyser? All About the ‘Slender Man’ Stabbing Case – Hollywood Life

Morgan Geyser, one of the two convicted individuals in the infamous 2014 “Slender Man” stabbing case, briefly went missing in late 2025 after being released from a mental institution and brought to a group home. The case attracted attention across the country, as all suspects and the victim were 12 years old at the time that Geyser and a friend stabbed their classmate to prove that “Slender Man” — the fictional supernatural internet meme — was real.

Below, learn about the “Slender Man” stabbing case and who Geyser is.

Who Is Morgan Geyser?

Geyser is a Wisconsin native who was convicted of stabbing classmate Payton Leutner when both were 12 years old. Geyser and friend Anissa Weier lured Leutner to a park in 2014 and stabbed Leutner multiple times in order to prove that Slender Man existed. Miraculously, Leutner survived.

In 2017, Weier and Geyser were found not guilty by mental disease or defect, and they were committed to mental institutions. Geyser was sentenced to 40 years to life, while Weier was sentenced to 25 years to life. Both were released early; Weier went to live with her family in 2021, and Geyser was released in early 2025 to live in a group home.

When Did Morgan Geyser Go Missing?

Geyser went missing from the group home in November 2025 and was found shortly thereafter. The Madison Police Department stated that Geyser’s GPS monitoring bracelet had malfunctioned, and the Wisconsin Department of Corrections subsequently determined that Geyser had removed the bracelet. The next morning, Geyser was reported missing and was found later that night.

How Is Payton Leutner Doing After the Stabbing?

As previously noted, Leutner survived the stabbing. She was inspired to pursue a career in medicine after the attack.

When Geyser was reported missing, a spokesperson for her family released a statement, thanking law enforcement for their work.

“Payton and her family are safe and are working closely with local law enforcement to ensure their continued safety,” the statement read. “The family would like to thank all of the law enforcement entities involved in the efforts to apprehend Morgan. The Leutner family also wish to thank the outpouring of support from family, friends and well-wishers who have contacted them during this difficult time.”

Where Is Morgan Geyser Now?

Geyser is currently back in custody. Geyser was found shortly after going missing from a group home in late November 2025.

Norah Fatehi responds to allegations in Dawood-linked drug syndicate case: ‘My name is an easy target’

by jummy84 November 15, 2025
written by jummy84

A major drug racket has been revealed by the Mumbai Police with several big names in a list that includes actors Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and Alishah Parkar, the nephew of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, among others. Allegedly run by Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh alias Lavish, the report exposed a network of high-profile parties across India and abroad.

Dawood Ibrahim and Nora Fatehi

According to news agency PTI, officials claimed that during interrogation, Salim alleged that he used to organise drug parties in the country and abroad, which were attended by fashion and film celebrities, besides gangster Dawood Ibrahim’s nephew Alishah Parkar.

As per India Today, the entire operation was run from Dubai, where Salim lives. His son, Taher Dola — brought back from the UAE in August — has reportedly shared key details with investigators. Documents accessed by the outlet allege that Bollywood actors, models, rappers, filmmakers and even Dawood Ibrahim’s relatives attended these parties.

Nora Fatehi takes a stand

Amid the escalating controversy, one of the first to speak out has been Norah Fatehi. The singer-actor issued a strong personal statement. Taking to Instagram Stories, she wrote:

“FYI I DONT go to Parties.. Im constantly on flights.. Im a work holic, i dont have a personal life.. I dont associate myself with people like that.. and on my off days im at home on a beach in dubai or with my high school friends! I spend my entire days and nights working on my dreams and goals! Dont believe anything you read! It seems like my name is an easy target! but i wont allow it to happen this time! It happened once before, you guys tried to destroy me with LIES and it didnt work.. i watched silently as everyone tried their best to slander my name, smear my reputation and use me as clickbait! Please refrain from using my name and image on situations that have absolutely NOTHING to do with me! This will come with a heavy heavy price! Respectfully.” Her response comes after reports claimed that the remand copy explicitly mentions her name among others.

More details about the exposé

The remand copy accessed by India Today TV reads, “Further investigation into the said accused No. 05 has revealed that he is organising drug parties in the country and abroad and supplying drugs to those parties.” It also alleges, “The said accused has previously organised drug parties in the country and abroad with Alisha Parkar, Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor and her brother Siddharth Kapoor, Zishan Siddiqui, Ori alias Orhan, Abbas Mastaan, Loka and many other people and has himself joined in them and is supplying drugs to these and other people.”

The Mumbai Crime Branch is now expected to summon all celebrities named in the case to record their statements. Neither Shraddha Kapoor nor her representatives have commented yet. As the investigation deepens, more details are awaited.

Cardi B’s Attorneys Blast Attempt To Reopen A$$ault Case By Former Security Guard: Absolutely Frivolous

#CardiB’s legal team has called the motion for a new trial filed by former security guard Emani Ellis, who accused the rapper of a$$ault, “entirely frivolous.”

Her attorneys argue that the bid comes after a jury cleared her of all related claims and that there is no ground to reopen the case. “[Ellis] fails to establish any permitted grounds for a new trial,” Cardi’s attorneys write in their opposition filed on Wednesday (Nov. 12). They add, “Instead, she repeats her counsel’s accusations of misconduct that are both false and not grounds for a new trial.”

The case stemmed from a $24 million lawsuit filed by Ellis, who alleged #Cardi a$$aulted, spat on, and used racial slurs against her during a 2018 altercation at a Beverly Hills medical office.

A Los Angeles jury unanimously found Cardi not liable for after deliberating for less than an hour.

Outside the courthouse, Cardi affirmed her innocence: “I did not touch that woman.” She went on to say, “With that being said, this time around I’m gonna be nice. The next person to try to do a frivolous lawsuit against me, I’m going to countersue and make you pay because this is not OK.”

Dharmendra Isn’t Dead, But Journalism Might Be: The Curious Case Of Media Hoaxes

Dharmendra Isn’t Dead, But Journalism Might Be: The Curious Case Of Media Hoaxes

by jummy84 November 13, 2025
written by jummy84

Last week’s false reports about veteran actor Dharmendra’s death once again exposed the rot within India’s digital news ecosystem. The news spread like wildfire, amplified by dozens of unverified posts, fan tributes and misleading headlines. Within hours, the rumour had taken a life of its own, forcing the actor’s family to step in and stop the chaos.

It was Hema Malini, Dharmendra’s wife and fellow actor, who finally broke the silence. Condemning the fake news, she said that such fabrications were “unforgivable” and appealed to people not to spread unverified information. Her statement restored some calm but also reignited a larger conversation on how digital-age journalism has turned into a race where verification often comes second to virality.

The incident became a case study of how the need to be first can often come at the cost of being right. News portals, influencers and even some entertainment reporters hastily picked up the story without official confirmation. Within minutes, the rumour turned into an “obituary,” and the audience, conditioned by social media’s urgency, responded emotionally before reason could intervene. By the time fact-checkers debunked it, the false news had already reached millions.

This wasn’t the first time such misinformation shook the industry. Over the years, several actors have fallen prey to premature obituaries. In 2016, similar hoaxes targeted Dilip Kumar, whose health updates often became clickbait. In 2022, Lata Mangeshkar’s family had to issue clarifications multiple times before her actual demise, as rumours of her “critical condition” flooded timelines. Even icons such as Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth have faced such baseless reports.

Each instance chips away at public trust in the media. The entertainment beat, once defined by exclusive interviews and thoughtful critiques, has increasingly become a realm where “breaking news” thrives on speed, not accuracy. Journalists, particularly in online platforms, are now caught in a system that rewards immediacy over integrity. As a result, a single unverified tweet can snowball into nationwide panic within minutes.

For public figures like Dharmendra, the emotional toll is immense. Beyond the personal distress caused to their families, such fake news also disrupts their relationship with the public. Actors who once relied on the media to convey genuine updates now hesitate to engage, fearing misrepresentation or sensationalism. This breakdown of trust harms both sides, the stars, who become victims of rumours and the audiences, who grow increasingly cynical of everything they read.

In Hema Malini’s words, calling the situation “unforgivable” was a reflection of frustration with a news culture that seems to have lost its ethical compass. Her statement reminded both journalists and readers that death, especially, is not a subject for speculation or online engagement. When rumours of such magnitude circulate unchecked, they do more than misinform, they desensitise people to the value of truth and empathy.

The “minute-by-minute” style of modern journalism has turned every update into a potential scoop. But this speed-based reporting has blurred the line between news and noise. What once required confirmation from official sources now depends on trending keywords and viral posts. In the process, even established outlets risk their credibility by amplifying falsehoods under the guise of urgency.

The curious case of Dharmendra’s fake death is therefore not just about one actor, it’s a reflection of how newsrooms have evolved in the digital era. The audience too plays a role, often forwarding or reposting stories without pausing to verify them. This collective negligence has created an ecosystem where misinformation thrives and outrage becomes a substitute for truth.

In the end, Hema Malini’s firm response stood in stark contrast to the chaos that surrounded the incident. Her words served as a reminder that in the pursuit of “being first,” journalism has forgotten the dignity of being right. For an actor like Dharmendra, who has entertained generations, the least the media owes him, and others like him, is the courtesy of truth.

Babymetal’s “Elevator Girl” and Echoes of the Elisa Lam Case » PopMatters

by jummy84 November 6, 2025
written by jummy84

In February 2013, the body of 21-year-old Canadian student Elisa Lam was discovered inside a sealed water tank atop the Cecil Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Her death became an instant internet sensation — not only because of the bizarre circumstances but because of the surveillance video that preceded it.

The footage, captured by a hotel elevator camera, showed Lam behaving erratically: she pressed every floor button, peeked out as if being followed, moved her hands in strange, slow gestures, and appeared to be either frightened or lost in some unseen world. Her behavior has inspired years of speculation — ranging from mental illness to supernatural interference, conspiracy theories, and the paranormal. No single explanation has satisfied everyone.

Six years later, Japanese kawaii-metal sensation Babymetal released a single titled “Elevator Girl”. At first glance, it’s a high-energy metal-pop track with catchy melodies, heavy guitars, and a playful tone. However, read against the backdrop of the Elisa Lam case — particularly for those steeped in its imagery — the song’s lyrics take on a strange, almost spiritual resemblance. Whether intentionally or not, “Elevator Girl” feels like an unspoken pop culture echo of one of the most chilling and inexplicable deaths of the digital era.

A Descent Disguised as Pop

Babymetal’s lyrics fuse cuteness with doom. The Japanese verses are ominous, but even the English-language lyrics are laced with a darker undercurrent. Take the opening refrain: “Hey, lady, are you going up or do-do-do-do-do-down? / No matter what you say or what you do / You’re going do-do-do-do-do-down.”

Sung over pounding riffs and danceable rhythms, the line walks a fine line between flirtation and fatalism. The upbeat delivery masks the suggestion that the outcome is inevitable — and grim. No matter what she says or does, her fate is sealed. She’s “going down” regardless of the floor she gets off on.

The Japanese sections go even further: “上へ参ります 下へ参ります閉まるドアに お気を付けください次は地獄に 止まります” (We are going up. We are going down. Please watch your step as the doors close. Next stop: Hell.)

The song transforms an elevator’s polite announcements into a descent into torment — a blend of the mundane and the hellish. In this light, the elevator becomes a metaphor for psychological freefall or moral unraveling. This feels uncomfortably close to what we see in the Lam video — a young woman in a liminal space, caught between floors, between states of mind, between visibility and disappearance.

Another verse deepens this association: “地下2000階 まっさかさま火あぶり針地獄 のフロアです” (2000 floors underground, straight down — welcome to the fire and needle hell floor.)

The detail is so exaggerated it feels cartoonish — until you remember that Lam was found in an inaccessible place: not 2000 floors underground, but in a sealed rooftop water tank, with no clear path of entry. In both narratives, the elevator doesn’t go where it should. It stops where it shouldn’t.

Upbeat Nihilism: The English Lyrics Add Texture

The English-language portions of “Elevator Girl” only sharpen the case’s resonance. The song juxtaposes girlish energy with unstable emotional states: “Girl, we’re going up / Girl, we’re going down / See the whole world spin, spin spin around / Life can be such a pain in the butt / Going up, going down / Going up, going to hell, yeah.”

These lyrics evoke teenage swings between hope and despair, joy and panic. While Babymetal might be using this as a metaphor for adolescence or rebellion, it’s impossible not to hear echoes of Lam’s reported mental health struggles — particularly when the chorus repeats: “Going up, going down, going to hell, yeah.”

The following verse compounds that tension: “One day I’m happy, one day I’m a mess / Hang on ’cause I’ll never give up.”

Lam’s writing, preserved in Tumblr posts and journal entries, reflected this contradiction: she described herself as hopeful and introspective, but also depressed and lost. Her trip to Los Angeles — part solo adventure, part attempt to recharge — seemed like a moment of personal growth. Yet, her behavior in the elevator suggested something was unraveling.

The Elevator as a Threshold

Symbolically, elevators often represent transitions — moving between floors, states of being, or emotional highs and lows. In horror, elevators are often depicted as confined and trapped spaces. In dreams, they can imply psychological movement — up means escape or aspiration; down means descent, death, or exposure.

In “Elevator Girl”, the elevator is more like a haunted amusement ride, a thrill that could kill: “だからいつも 命がけ” (That’s why it’s always life or death.)

This line, intended to match the band’s over-the-top style, lands differently when considered against the real-life tragedy of Lam. Her final moments were not just about playfulness or mischief, but fear and possibly the consequences of a missed diagnosis, a systemic failure, or something more unknowable.

Viral Ghosts and Cultural Echoes

There is no evidence that Babymetal had Elisa Lam in mind when writing “Elevator Girl”, but cultural artifacts often speak to us in unintended ways. Urban legends, such as those surrounding the Cecil Hotel, persist because they tap into collective fears. Lam’s story evolved into more than just a true crime case; it became a digital ghost story, one that continues to haunt online forums, YouTube comment sections, Reddit threads, and documentaries.

Both Lam and “Elevator Girl” exist in that liminal realm: between entertainment and eeriness, between metaphor and memory. Their shared imagery of elevators, erratic behavior, and themes of descent make the song feel almost like a soundtrack to the mystery, even if it wasn’t meant to be.

Perhaps that’s why the connection sticks. For those familiar with the case, “Elevator Girl” begins to sound like more than just a song. It feels like a replay, a loop we can’t escape.

Cultural Ripples Beyond Babymetal

The eerie resonance between “Elevator Girl” and Elisa Lam’s story is just one thread in a larger web of cultural reflections on her case. The 2005 American remake of the Japanese horror film Dark Water features a chilling parallel: a missing girl’s body discovered in a water tank atop an apartment building—almost a direct echo of Lam’s tragic fate.

This haunting detail in Dark Water contributed to its ghostly atmosphere and the lingering fear of unseen forces lurking in everyday urban places. While Babymetal’s “Elevator Girl” doesn’t explicitly reference Lam, it fits within this broader cultural conversation where art and real-life mysteries intersect, capturing anxieties about liminal spaces, isolation, and unseen dangers.

Final Floor

So, was she going up? Or going down? Elisa Lam’s story ends without clarity. The elevator doors never closed in that footage. The buttons never seemed to work. She vanished, only to be found far above where any rational answer could place her.

Like the final lines of “Elevator Girl”, we’re left spinning: “Going up, going down / Going up, going down, hell yeah!”

As listeners, as viewers, as people obsessed with the unresolved — we’re trapped on the ride. Still watching, waiting, still wondering which floor we just got off.

Alicia Andrews Guilty Of Manslaughter In Julio Foolio Case

by jummy84 November 2, 2025
written by jummy84

A Tampa jury found Alicia Andrews guilty of manslaughter in the 2024 death of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio. After an eight-day trial, the jury also found her not guilty of conspiracy to commit murder. The manslaughter conviction is a lesser charge than the first-degree murder count she was initially facing.

Alicia Andrews Convicted of Manslaughter, Not First-Degree Murder

Alicia Andrews was found guilty of manslaughter rather than first-degree murder in the 2024 killing of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio, whose real name was Charles Jones. According to FOX 13 News, prosecutors said Andrews and her boyfriend, Isaiah Chance, drove from Jacksonville to Tampa with three others to target Foolio as part of an ongoing gang dispute. Investigators said Andrews helped track and follow the rapper, and that the group used her phone and vehicle to avoid police detection.

However, Andrews’ defense attorneys argued she did not know the murder plot, claiming she was only accompanying her boyfriend, whom she described as controlling and abusive. Andrews is the first of five suspects charged in Foolio’s death to face trial. The four co-defendants, Chance, Sean Gathright, Davion Murphy, and Rashad Murphy, are scheduled to stand trial next year. Andrews is expected to be sentenced Dec. 8.

Social Media Users React To Andrews’ Verdict

Reaction to the verdict spread quickly across social media, with many users sharing mixed opinions.

Instagram user @datdyketati2.0 wrote, “Knew that was coming. Yall gon learn to just not do the crime, even if you didn’t pull the trigger”

Another Instagram user @devon2drippy wrote, “Man she got lesser time because she told everything lol she knew exactly what the plan was, she got caught up and told everything”

While Instagram user @maccblingz wrote, “she seems so unfazed and cold hearted”

More On Jacksonville Rapper Julio Foolio

Julio Foolio, born Charles Jones, was 26 when he was killed on June 23, 2024. He was in Tampa, Florida, celebrating his birthday weekend when he was shot. Authorities reportedly linked Foolio’s murder to a longstanding gang feud involving multiple Florida groups. In 2021, Foolio gained viral attention for a public feud with fellow Jacksonville rapper Yungeen Ace, with both artists releasing diss tracks aimed at each other. Foolio’s most popular track, “When I See You,” has amassed more than 69 million views on YouTube since its release four years ago.
