CARA Makes a Triumphant and Emotional Return to Music

The music industry is a rapidly evolving sector. Over the past several years, its pace has only grown even more accelerated, as streaming sites and social media platforms have yielded instantaneous results for users, only increasing their appetite for new music tenfold. As a result, many modern artists feel the constant need to release new music to stay relevant, keeping pace with the cultural moment and maintaining their position in the industry. This is what makes CARA’s decision to step away from everything, just as her career was really starting to take off, all the bolder. When tragedy struck, rather than pushing forward and trying to ignore what was happening in her personal life, the artist opted to take a beat to really process her emotions, and is now returning to the music industry with a better understanding of herself and her artistic ambitions.

Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist CARA is returning with the emotionally charged single “Tears,” marking a pivotal moment in her career. This blend of personal grief and genre-crossing production resonates across mainstream and independent charts, solidifying her as a versatile, emotionally honest voice in modern pop and trap music.

Known for her genre-blending style and fearless storytelling, CARA has built a career that includes chart success, high-profile collaborations, and standout live performances. Her single “FIGHT,” a licensed and approved reimagining of the Beastie Boys’ “Fight for Your Right to Party,” topped the independent artist charts on the National Mediabase Top 40 chart for several weeks running. More recently, her single “BLVD” reached the top of that same chart in 2024. Beyond these accomplishments, CARA’s resume reads like a lineup at a cross-genre festival. She’s opened for Lil Jon, Mike Jones, Soulja Boy, and SOMO, and even showcased her energy with a live appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

However, when she experienced personal tragedy in her own life, she felt the need to step away from her burgeoning career. While others might have been too afraid of losing traction in such a tumultuous industry, CARA knew what was right for her and dared to follow through on it.

Now, after a notable hiatus, CARA is making a powerful return to the spotlight. Her latest single, “Tears,” has resonated with listeners worldwide, climbing two renowned charts. Written and executive produced by CARA herself, the track was accompanied by an official video, released on August 12.

“Tears” is dedicated to her late mother and brothers, infusing personal loss into her creative output. CARA frames her vulnerability as a strength, building authenticity with fans and resonating with listeners around the world.

Moving forward, she’s channeling her experiences into “THE KRONICLES”, her forthcoming debut album recorded at Orb Recording Studios. Set for release in 2026, the autobiographical record is a raw, multi-genre journey. “Tears,” the album’s deeply personal single, is both a cathartic release and an offering of solidarity. “I hope my song will help others experiencing severe loss in processing their grief and to know they are not alone,” CARA shares.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has once again stunned audiences at Paris Fashion Week, not only because of her beautiful appearance but also for her emotional interactions that have gone viral on the web. Bollywood legend and Global Ambassador of L’Oréal Paris was spotted at the fashion extravaganza in a queen-like avatar and was seen having warm, true moments with co-celebrities and fans alike.

One of the highlights of the event was Aishwarya’s adorable interaction with English model-actress Cara Delevingne. In a video now gone viral, Cara, in relaxed attire of a hoodie, jeans, and hair cap, is spotted getting down from her vehicle to greet Aishwarya with a big hug. The two shared a couple of cordial words, and Cara affectionately reached out to adjust Aishwarya’s hair. The brief but touching gesture melted hearts online, with fans praising the genuine camaraderie between the two stars. Social media was flooded with comments like, “Awwwww,” “Love two queens just being queens,” and the playful, “That’s so ‘MOM and MOSI’ kind of hugg.”

Another touching highlight was the scene where Aishwarya interacted with a young fan. In one of the videos shared on Instagram, a visibly moved fan broke down into tears upon catching sight of the actress. Aishwarya promptly hugged the fan, consoled her, and even wiped away her tears, highlighting her humility and empathy. The action only further endeared her to her fans, solidifying why she remains so endearing to the masses across the globe.

On the catwalk, Aishwarya made a stunning entrance wearing a regal velvet sherwani from Manish Malhotra, complete with exquisite silver detailing. She complemented the outfit with sparkling diamond jewelry and her famous red lip color, looking ageless. At the same time, Cara Delevingne gave everyone a frozen impression wearing a sheer lace couture dress by Georges Chakra, looking stylishly effortless.

Paris Fashion Week, which kicked off on September 29 and continues until October 7, is making headlines around the world with walk-ins by fashion giants and global celebrities. In addition to Aishwarya and Cara, actresses like Kendall Jenner, Heidi Klum, Jane Fonda, Helen Mirren, and Simone Ashley also walked the ramp.

Her most recent appearance was in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan II. Although she hasn’t made any public declaration of her new project, her Paris Fashion Week outing confirms that she’s still a global icon—both on as well as off the catwalk.

Milo Callaghan and Robyn Cara on Rudy and Kelly’s Relationship

[Warning: The following post contains MAJOR spoilers for The Rainmaker Episode 7.]

Rudy Baylor (Milo Callaghan) had to go to court for a different reason than usual in Friday’s (September 26) new episode of The Rainmaker. Rather than heading in for another hearing to prosecute the Donny Ray Black civil case, Rudy came in as a defendant … in a criminal proceeding.

Cliff (Fionn Ó Loingsigh), the abusive husband of Kelly Riker (Robyn Cara), tracked her down to Dot’s (Karen Bryson) house and attacked her in the bathroom. After she ran out into the living room, Cliff was shot and killed, and Rudy took the blame for it to protect Kelly. Bruiser (Lana Parrilla) rushed to Rudy’s bond defense and even put up his bail money and, after discovering the truth of the encounter by visiting the scene, negotiated an end to the case, leaving Rudy free of charges and Kelly bound for a new life all her own.

The culmination of Rudy’s relationship with Kelly hits quite differently in this version, since, unlike the book and movie iterations, there’s not a romantic element for the two — a decision that came at the very last minute.

Series creator Michael Seitzman remembered, “It was a big discussion on set and on the page about what that moment was going to be like when they lay down in bed together… I had a thought overnight, the night before we shot, that it felt wrong to me, that it felt like the reward for all of this shouldn’t be sexual, and it shouldn’t be. It shouldn’t be.”

“It was originally going to be a love scene, that scene when she says, ‘Can you hold me?’ and then they lay down in bed together,” Seitzman continued. “Then I killed it the night before we were shooting, and thought it just didn’t feel right. It didn’t feel like the right emotion coming out of this episode… I didn’t want the audience to be turned on by the moment or to be confused by the moment.” Another reason it was changed? “I really wanted Rudy to be somebody who really meant it when he said, ‘Of course, I’ll hold you.’ … Anything more would have felt it just would have felt wrong to me.”

The stars involved in the scene completely agreed. For Milo Callaghan, it was also a character issue for Rudy. “It was a conversation we had with Robyn Cara, who plays Kelly, is fantastic and so beautifully vulnerable and sweet in the show. And I think in our version of this, in our take on this story, there’s a curiosity that he feels — that you see in the book and in the film — but something curbs the follow-through on that because this is, again, somebody who’s really vulnerable in an abusive relationship, and he has a value system that doesn’t allow him to take advantage of that, which I think is one of the things that drives the plot, in lots of ways, is that Rudy Baylor refuses to take advantage of the vulnerable.”

Robyn Cara also thought it was the right move for her character’s mindset, explaining, “I like the way it kind of played out in this version because she’s just been through such a horrible thing… She killed her husband, so her brain must just be everywhere. She’s just gone through a huge amount of trauma. So I think going through for a more platonic ending with the characters with them, it feels like the right way to go for us in this version.”

As for the changes to the criminal proceeding itself — in the book and film, it’s Kelly who’s arrested after Rudy killed Cliff in self-defense — Seitzman said those tweaks were meant to keep fans on their toes.

“I really liked the storyline a lot because it lives outside of the spine of the story, but it’s still a part of Rudy’s growth arc, his maturation and matriculation throughout the season,” he explained. “I wanted to upend the audience’s expectations a little bit about what was going to happen. If they were familiar with the book or they were familiar with the movie, they kind of knew how this played out in those original versions. I wanted a different version, and I wanted one that allowed Bruiser to be a very smart investigator and a smart litigator and to figure it out. I also felt that we should play on Rudy’s sometimes view of the truth as something that might be malleable… This is another example of Rudy being dishonest because he thinks he’s doing the right thing.”

Cara Maria Sorbello Leaves, Jonna Mannion Joins

by jummy84 August 28, 2025
written by jummy84

[Warning: The following post contains MAJOR spoilers for The Challenge Season 41 Episode 5.]

Another GOAT of the show headed home on The Challenge‘s latest episode — though not for the reason you might think.

Wednesday’s (August 27) new episode of Vets and New Threats picked up right where the last one left off, with the remaining competitors dealing with the aftermath of Johnny Bananas‘ elimination. His showmance partner Dee Valladares staged an impromptu memorial on his now-empty bed, fit with an actual banana and a “no feet” sign as a wink to his apparent kink.

Meanwhile, Olivia Kaiser mused that his exit would have the unintended consequence of uniting the rookies against the veterans, and she seemed to be right based on the hush-hush bunkroom gathering Aneesa Ferreira accidentally (or maybe intentionally) crashed.

After that, Cara Maria Sorbello revealed that she needed to leave after receiving bad news about her mother’s health and saved her biggest goodbye for fellow Bostonian Chris “C.T.” Tamburello, who offered to leave right alongside her.

“This is harder than The Challenge itself,” she said of what she faced at home. “This is my escape. This is where I can just go on autopilot and focus on one thing and escape my home reality.” Of her exit, CT said in a confessional, “Cara is like a sister to me… I tell her to keep her head up, and she’s a tough chick, but I’m going to miss her.”

Cara’s exit meant Leo Dionicio had no partner, but instead of forcing him to become the next “hangnail” of the game, host T.J. Lavin announced that an alternate was coming into the game — it was not just any old player, but two-time The Challenge: All Stars winner Jonna Mannion. Game on.

The daily challenge was sponsored by (and themed in accordance with) the upcoming football horror film Him. Called “Dirtballer,” the grueling challenge required the pairs to work together to dig up giant wooden posts, carry them across a 500-meter field, then set them back into the ground to create a goalpost before kicking a field goal on it to win. Winning the challenge were Michaela Bradshaw and Jake Cornish. Coming in dead last were Dee and Derek Chavez.

Michaela, despite giving Olivia a spirited speech about her decision to protect someone who wasn’t being targeted, decided to throw their save to Jake’s pal Leo from potential elimination. Then, the house vote became a tie between Yeremi Hykel (whose partner Ashley Mitchell was loudly concerned about becoming a hangnail) and Ben Davis. T.J. resolved the tie with a coin toss, which sent Ben into the arena.

The elimination challenge was, like the daily, Him-coded as “Him Collide,” a variation of the classic Hall Brawl featuring a football. Without much resistance, Derek ran all over Ben and easily won, leaving his partner Olivia as the next hangnail.

Then came the selection, wherein the new partnerships were decided: Michael and Yeremi, Jake and Janna, Adrienne Naylor and Derek, Turabi “Turbo” Çamkıran and Tay Wilcoxson, Aviv Melmed and Cedric Hodges, Will Gagnon and Ashley, Ayoleka “Leka” Sodade and CT, Gabe Wai and Aneesa, America Chavez and Derrick Kosinski, Leroy Garrett and Izzy Fairthorne, Sydney Segal and Leo, Nany Gonzales and Theo Campbell, and Justin Hinsley and Dee.

All in all, there wasn’t too much drama in this particular episode, but the look-ahead tells us that things are about to sour up between CT and Turbo — meaning, the fear that vet-on-vet crimes would begin in the wake of Bananas’ departure might just come true after all.
