Sidharth Malhotra spoke about his baby girl on The Great Indian Kapil Show and got candid about how she changed his and Kiara Advani’s lives.

Bollywood actor couple Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra became parents to a baby girl on 15 July this year. On Kapil Sharma’s Netflix show, The Great Indian Kapil Show, Sidharth got candid about how much his and Kiara’s lives have changed after the arrival of their first child. He also called himself a ‘supporting actor’, as compared to Kiara. Here’s what he said.

Sidharth Malhotra on daddy duties

In the upcoming episode of Kapil’s show, Sidharth got candid about fatherhood and said, “Arey pura schedule change ho gaya, abhi main waheen se aa raha hoon subeh subeh. Chahe woh khaane peene ka dhyaan ho, unke sleeping pattern ho, aaj kal raat ko late nights chal rahi hai par alag kisam ki! Teen chaar baje feeding ho raha. (Our schedule has completely changed. I just came from there this morning. Be it taking care of her food or her sleeping, these days we’re awake at night a lot for a different reason. She’s getting fed at 3-4 AM.)”

However, Sidharth called himself a ‘supporting actor’ as compared to Kiara, adding, “Main toh abhi supporting actor play kar raha hoon, jo sirf wahan pe khade hoke dekh raha hai. (I am just the supporting actor who watches everything for now.)” When Archana Puran Singh asked him if he took up diaper duties, he replied, “Kiya hai diaper change, aur bina diaper ka ‘oops moment’ bhi experience kiya hai ab toh (I’ve changed her diaper and even experienced the ‘oops moment’ without diaper).”

Sidharth appeared on Kapil Sharma’s show with Janhvi Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Manjot Singh, and Inayat Verma to promote their upcoming film, Param Sundari, directed by Tushar Jalota. The film will be released in theatres on 29 August. The episode featuring the cast will drop on Netflix on 30 August at 8 PM.

Kiara and Sidharth announced in February this year that they’re about to have their first child. In May, Kiara debuted her baby bump at the Met Gala. Their baby girl was born on 15 July, and they announced the news on 16 July. Kiara was most recently seen in Ayan Mukerji’s War 2 with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR as her co-stars.

Daniel Dae Kim Calls Out ‘Chilling Effect’ On Speech, DEI In Hollywood

Daniel Dae Kim called out the “chilling effect” on free speech and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives in Hollywood.

In an Associated Press interview conducted in Seoul, South Korea, the Tony nominee was asked if he’s worried about backlash against DEI efforts in the entertainment industry.

“We’re already seeing it,” the Butterfly actor and executive producer said. “If you look at what happened with Paramount and CBS News, we’re seeing a chilling effect on free speech and journalism and DEI. ‘DEI’ is a bad word these days, but to me, DEI’s not a fad. The idea of inclusion is not something that’s a political trend. It’s my life. It’s what I’ve lived every decade I’ve been in this business.”

Kim is referring to the $16 million settlement reached between Paramount and president Donald Trump over a contested 60 Minutes interview with former vice president Kamala Harris, which the GOP leader had claimed was fraudulently edited. At the time of the $20 billion lawsuit filing, the media conglomerate deemed the move “meritless.”

Following the settlement’s announcement, late-night host Stephen Colbert, whose show is televised on Paramount’s CBS, called the decision a “big fat bribe” amid the looming and long-gestating Paramount-Skydance merger. Just days later, he announced to audiences that his show — and The Late Show franchise as a whole, which began with David Letterman — would be cancelled next year. Amid speculation from viewers, Congress members and fellow industry peers, Paramount defended the decision as purely financially motivated.

Elsewhere in the Q&A with the AP, the Lost alum noted, “I have a lot of sympathy for actors who take stereotypical roles when they’re starting out because you need some way to break into the business. It’s much easier once you’re more successful and more established because you have more financial stability. It’s something that, if you’re not a person of color, or someone who’s a minority in the United States, you don’t have to think about. You don’t think about what this role means for the rest of a nation or an ethnicity. You just do what you’re drawn to, and that’s very liberating. I am lucky enough now where I can also make those same choices. But I don’t ever escape the fact that whatever I do will be watched and seen by so many people and judged through their own lens and filters.”

Dhanashree Verma Breaks Silence on Divorce, Calls Chahal’s T-Shirt Stunt ‘Very Sad’

Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and YouTuber-actor Dhanashree Verma finalised their divorce earlier this year, bringing an end to their five-year marriage. While Chahal has spoken about the split in several interviews, Verma had remained silent until now. In a candid conversation, she described the court proceedings as “emotional” and expressed her shock over Chahal’s much-discussed “T-shirt stunt” outside the court, where he was spotted wearing a tee that read: “Be your own sugar daddy.”

Speaking to Humans of Bombay, Dhanashree recalled, “I genuinely feel that the day it actually happened, it was very emotional for me and my family. I still remember when I was standing there and the verdict was about to be given, even though you are so mentally prepared that it is going to happen, it was still so emotional. I literally started howling and crying in front of everybody. I cannot even express what I was feeling at that point of time.”

She added that she was unaware of Chahal’s T-shirt until later. “He walked out first, that whole thing happened with the T-shirt and media, and I wasn’t aware about it because I was still inside. I got out from the back gate because I was not liking that. It was just very sad, you don’t want cameras all over your face. Humko kuch nahi bataana tha, I was wearing normal t-shirt and jeans. I sat in the car, my best friend was there with me, and we were still trying to grasp our breath. It was that shaky moment, especially when you know people will blame you only.”

Dhanashree admitted she had anticipated being blamed even before the divorce was finalized. “Even before I knew about this T-shirt stunt, we were aware that people were going to hold me responsible for the divorce. In your head, you just want to move forward once it’s over. Until I took out my phone and saw it, I didn’t want to believe it. Ye sach mein isne aisa kiya? In that one second, I was like—it’s over. Why should I cry? Somewhere I felt bad, questioning myself—main kyu ro rahi thi? For this? That was the motivation I needed: I just had to laugh it out. In fact, that helped me. Everybody saw me in the courthouse… the way I was howling and crying. In moments like that, everything just flashes through your mind.”

When told that Chahal’s podcast remarks sounded like a final message to her, she quipped, “Arre bhai, WhatsApp kardeta!”

Chahal, meanwhile, had earlier defended his choice of T-shirt in a podcast with Raj Shamani. “I just felt like I wanted to give one message and I did that. Because something had happened from the other end… I didn’t want to do it earlier but then something happened and I decided, now everyone can go to hell, I will do what I want,” he said.

The couple filed for divorce in February 2024, with proceedings concluding this year. Following the split, Dhanashree faced intense trolling online, including allegations of infidelity, while Chahal has since been linked to content creator RJ Mahvash.

She also shared the simple steps that worked for her to heal leaky gut:

1. Improve mobility (how fast food moves through your gut)
